Here's a "funny" story.

When I was young (like ages ago 🤣 ) I had lost some of my notes of Dutch Language class.
So I asked a friend if I could borrow his, spend hours studying them because I feared lots of questions would be about that first part. Not about the part I had myself.

When the pre-exams happened, panic struck, as most questions were about the part I barely studied. That part I did have the notes from.

So, when we got the end results, I ended up with a "1" (Dutch rate on a 1-10 rating, so imagine.)

By the time I had to do the final exams, I had worked that one up to an average of "4"; which was too low to even pass.
Some of the other things were having a too low average as well and it was actually advised that I would simply not do the exams all together, as I most likely won't pass them anyway.

I refused, did half of them at the required level and half of them at a lower level.

When the results came in, it turned out that I not only had passed, but that when the adjustment-factor was applied, I would've been able to pass everything at the highest level.

Except for the Dutch language.
So I did another exam for that, to make sure it would end up with a higher number. Basically meaning I had to pass with a grade of 8-9 to pull that off.
I passed it with an 8.9.

Doesn't mean I'm good, because I never liked studying.
But it does mean that if you really want something, you can pull it off. Even as a slow learner.

I'm a builder. That's what I do in these games. The sway they have set this system up is not "revered" by anyone I've seen. Everyone I play the game with says "yea the building system sucks"

I have many other conpl about how the game works I haven't mentioned like the fact that you have to be in a specific biome to farm anything.

I gave constructive critique on how I think the game could be improved and said I would be happy to see these changes and would be cross enough to consider not recommending the game to others. Oh, but you don't have to.

The moment you get access to iron you can use a wood-iron pole to build to a certain height and width.
If you want to build in stone, put a stone pilar over it, so the wood iron pole won't be visible.
After that, use the iron grate to create a floor, make sure it hits the walls at all sides and the wood iron poles and cover it with the stone floor pieces.

That entire structure is strong enough to cover a 12 - 18 tile area with only pillars being build every 3-4 tiles.

Disadvantage of both "resources" is that Log trolls can hit through the raised dirt. And thus destroy things build behind it.

I have no idea.
I've never build a trap like that.

I just pick an island far away from the coast to make it hard for anything to reach me, then spawn proof the entire area to make certain things won't even get there. After that I raise the land by 4-8 meters so I can build a cellar under my main building and put walls at the outer edges to prevent anything wandering in.

So far it works and the only things that actually make it inside are bats, wraiths and drakes.

Think of it this way, AnimalVeg and MonsterAi are behaviors for the mobs, when we say faction we are talking about how different mobs interact with others. Since bears and deer don't attack each other, they are in the same faction, since abominations and bears attack each other they are in opposing factions
