What I’m picturing wouldn’t actually have anything g walking on the deck. It would just have the appearance/maybe a deck-wide body pile. I beg to differ considering it makes no sense you would be the only Viking in a plain of existence not unique to you and it’s not a solo game. Up to 8+ players so not so “you are alone versus the game”. A merchant npc is less helpful than a literal second player. 🤣 redundant

I love the game but the lack of content and amount of time just to get to 1.0. Is the reason barely anyone knows this game exists rn. In one year it lost 96% (2021) of its player base. 2 npc for the size of game it is makes 0 sense. If there is not other things to do then just grind (which it already is.) then most people will play one day and never again. Nothing to discover but more enemies and a measly 1-2 extra weapons per massive biome. Frankly the studio should hire more staff.

But don’t you think as a Viking banished to valheim where other Viking have been banished before that you would at least see survivors. Not meeting even a single other Viking makes no sense especially when technically there would be viking getting banished frequently. Even the empty villages you can find would suggest they grouped up and built refuge. But somehow every last single stronghold formed by these ultra strong warriors just died… a little while before your arrival…

You act as if seeing a berserker living in a hut on the shore is game breaking. I fail to see how a Viking or two selling or buying certain goods would change a single thing about the game

Could also have been having 7 players and people hopping in and out putting alot of strain on the network. But I reduced settings to performance. With earliest buckler you can much easier parry troll attacks. But remember have enough hp since it increases your stagger limit too.
The benefit of parrying is also staggering the enemy which makes them take 2x damage from all attacks at them while they're staggered. Funnily you can parry ranged attacks too and they also get staggered.

having a shelter in the mountain will get you from freezing* to cold. and fires will remove both. so you can have a base there.
You will need a late game item if you want to plant crops

Getting a dedicated server will not help as the logic doesn't run on the server.
Valheim is client authorative so the "server" doesn't really do much other than handshakes.

I tried to use the branch "OldValheim" on G Portal, using Old Valheim in Steam as well. Uploaded the save folder and BepInEx folder to the server using Filezilla. Still says "Failed to connect."

90% of mods are 'bricked' currently due to the patch release and Unity Engine update. Mod authors have to go in and update their codes now ... please be patient and give them grace, as they do this as a hobby and will get it to when they can.

But yeah, totally agree with this 100%, it’s an amazing feature in Terraria where you’re crafting so much more often. Terraria can also lean heavily into the action side of things, and can often be more fast paced.

But in Valheim, you’re not crafting quite as often, so crafting efficiency isn’t super important.

Yes! It's super useful. They can toggle things off and on with the map, and if they click them, it'll add them permanently (non-grayed) to their map.

Yes, so we can craft with out taking a stack of each item, and then back to each chest and put everything back, every time that you want to craft. It's an excellent QOL improvement.

Also, make sure you read before you write if there's two+ of you, because you don't want to overwrite what someone else has added. But once you've read it, you've added it to your map, and you can add your stuff when you write.
