There is another old problem in the game) In the mountains when heavy weather starts full of snow with particles and gpu bumps to 100% because of them) For example playing the usually with locked 60 my gpu uses 70-90 watts but when that weather starts it goes 220 just because of that particles

Moder is always found in the mountains.

It is however likely that the mountain she spawns at is (partially) enclosed by Mistlands.

The good news is, there are more spawnpoints, so just start looking for vegvisirs at the oposite side of the map and you will find one that may be at a better location.

this is about the situation presented to players when they realize the moder icon is surrounded by mistlands, which is not a choice players can make before playing a given seed or blindly exploring in a direction

so your attempt to pin all responsibility on the player for getting screwed by worldgen, comes off as appallingly rude and unempathetic, especially to new players who are actually here for help and community

moder is iirc the only boss that has this problem due to other rules of world generation (no swamp past a certain radius, no mistlands before a certain radius)
devs could trivially fix this by checking that a path exists between Moder and Ocean that does not cross Mistlands, or by doing more radius rules (which is how they prevent this from happening with, say, Elder/Bonemass/Yag I believe)
If it fails to find a path, the worldgen would find another place to put Moder. Unlike, say mountains peaks, the boss spawns can go anywhere and aren't fixed locations on the big map that worldgen takes a chunk out of

You could add a clause in the worldgen that denies higher tier biomes in a straight line from spawn to boss locations

Its not perfect and its more work than just decreasing the max radius i guess.

But its also something you should honestly consider for all the bosses
Case in point, i once had to sail through a narrow passage of plains biome to get to elder
The only elder we got vegvisirs for on our fairly big starter island

Tbh 1 tier up is fine because if youre ready for the boss youre also ready for the next biome

So they likely took the average of each weather type happening and listed it

Weather was one of the pages we recently merged, so it might be a little off. I remember seeing the wind is predetermined, but I haven't looked into if the weather is. I'll pass it to someone who can look a little deeper into it.

Hello all....love the game.... but the only thing that really stops me from truly enjoying the game is once you finish with a biome, there really isnt a reason to go back ...for the most part. I mean for replayability, once you have animal farms and the new gear....why go back?? I think that is one of the biggest faults of the game, unfortunately!!

@wanton swan Replying here to you as the Valheim channel is only for Valheim discussions:

Its a random map seed in Valheim, not always the same map like Enshrouded, it also imho has definitely better exploration (especially the biome intersection areas you can find and a special thing in the 6th Valheim biome that is an amazing exploration find, spoilers could tell you more), the lighting is far superior in Valheim in my opinion compared to both games, and the building in all 3 games is different but there is a lot of opinions on youtube about this you may want to check out. I prefer Valheims building especially with some recent changes they did but that might be subjective on my end.

Also the pure vibe of Valheim is imho unmatched, vibe+lighting+exploration are goat here, but none of them are bad games.

its called a "static" map in Enshrouded & Dragonwilds versus a "procedurally generated one" like Valheim as in 1000's of different maps you won't play through again and have everything in the same place it all changes

You can reuse characters on a new map in Valheim but most people paly through again with a new character and new map, and also changed "world modifiers" like making combat harder or less or more resource drops and such

I have played all 3 but Valheim probably for 20times more hours then the other ones, also Admin on a Valheim gaming community so I would say I am probably also a bit biased but that is how it evolved for me haha.

There is good reasons for another playthrough, myself I have done about 15+ playthroughs from start to finish, things I do:

1. New map and character, the character just looks different but
2. Try out different weapons entirely, to change the experience a lot
3. Different settings like Combat: Hard, Portals: None etc. , changing death penalty

I personally also add goals like: Build 1 base in each biome, or use only 2 weapon types for the whole playthrough, don't use armour xyz that I always gravitate towards and try out others etc.

🙂 only played Valheim and Enshrouded . Have twice as many hours in Val but it has been around longer. The ocean and exploration keeps pulling me back here. However I am currently more into Enshroud with its building ability to build underground and glide around . Like Leng wouldn't put either down as they are both well worth the $ as you get tons of enjoyment out of them.

i think the content is plenty, and as long as you haven't played for thousands of hours and are just speedrunning you could easily spend hundreds of hours beating the game once

i think the biggest sell over enshrouded is the randomly generated maps which really makes replay value huge. also the skill progression is such taht everything you do feels meaningful

yeah, theres a point where it stops being fun stabbing a single zombie for 5 minutes straight. master was plenty of a challenge, slightly different game but an interesting challenge. i liked the harder difficulties more than harder valheim difficulties

Google says that some say that 580.97 is potentially problematic for an RTX 3070 card which I have myself. Says that it causes slower performance in general compared to older drivers.

Seems to turn out that learning another language is easier than finding a proper driver version for your video card.

In general I avoid 'Game Ready Drivers' like the plague and just download the 'creator' drivers instead, as they're generally more stable

The increase in difficulty from black forest to swamp is certainly greater than it was from meadows to black forest. Don't go in underprepared, make sure you have black forest level food and check your mead ketil for useful potions to brew

Plus I'd advise you to try to find a bordering bf or meadows to land and don't sail directly into the swamp

And collect all the seeds you'll be able to find. Gonna be a must-have at making some real good food and stuff.

yes, but they also have the issue of countrywide dyslexia, meaning not only are letters sometimes silent, but not all words are written with the letters in the same order they are pronounced.

the one saving grace of the danish language is that you can just mumble in swedish, norwegian, german, dutch or icelandic, and the danish speaker will have a good chance understand what you are trying to say.
