yea i originally thought it was a windows 11 issue but it seems more like a networking issue since it's the empty world bug where you load into a server but you get the server disconnect icon and an empty world

Silver sword + Draugr bow (needle arrows if you can but obs is cool too), I usually go full fenris and no hit it but if you're not super comfortable you can go drake helm + fenris chest + legs, can run eik if super comfy on moder, bm if you struggle with some melee shenanigans, also worth noting moders quick chomp bite attack thing is pierce so you can run root harnesk for that, I usually run 3x stam food but if you wanna be able to tank a hit go for serpent meat + serpent stew and then run eyescream, speed pot + stam pots as needed

Just make sure to always have your camera on her and just read and react to her ice spew attack in air and it should just be gg

Heh, the only reason I even own most of the games I do is for 2 reasons, 1. They looked interesting and were massively discounted (80% off or more) or 2. I got them via my Humble Bundle monthly subscription, which I have had for many years. These games cost me maybe $2 each. I would guess over the last, lets say 10 years, I have only paid even close to full price for a game maybe 15 times. Valheim is one of those. 😄

Like straight up, router powers off until I unplug and reset it, it's not a cloud play issue. It's only Valheim that causes this

Doing some digging I've heard of similar complaints, but I would assume since I'm using the cloud I would be unaffected? This also happens if I run the game natively as well

My guess would be your router get its data-packet queue full, and it solves it with self-restart. See if you can enable Smart Queues in your router.

The easiest thing to do first, would be to make sure everything (motherboard, network card, router, switches) has latest bios, firmware and drivers. And don't use WiFi to play Valheim, but cable connected from router to PC. You can run https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat to see how good internet and network hardware you have.

It still doesn't make up for getting less the 5mbps download and 0.1mbps or less upload so much of the time.

Alright, it had some interesting mechanics, especially the crafting system was interesting with the figuring out crafting recipes part. But for some reason I stopped playing it even though I liked it.

I tried playing Abiotic Factor this week and a bit disappointed
Throwing me directly into gameplay without being able to change any settings or pause with the godawful framerate
Seemed fun so far but if you're going to have voice acting maybe dont make it trash, even if you're doing a whole retro thing

Inventory was so small too with nothing to flag that you'd be able to return to an area to retrive all the potentially important stuff you left behind

So its like a metrodvania thing where new areas open up but you can still go back to old areas right?

One of the things that really sucked me in about Valheim is that its obvious from the get go what the game is about and what youre going to be doing.
Spawn in. See all these bosses? Kill them.
Pick up sticks and rocks. Build a workbench. Put a roof on it you idiot, OK this is your base now.

I'm avid spear user so extra pierce from the set bonus is nice against mobs that don't resist pierce.

Especially when initiating with spear throw at approaching Asksvin.

Morgen resist all physical so Storming Splitnir is fine against it too. Faster attack speed can proc more lightnings.

One thing I have learned with Valheim, is they may be resistant, but as long as you can stay alive long enough to hit them those few extra times to make up for it, you still win.

Slight correction: it's heat resistance, not fire. You take less damage from hot water and lava while wearing it plus it takes bit longer for the heat effect to apply fully.

Heat damage from lava and spicy water cannot be negated any other way than with heat resistance, as it's technically pure damage, not fire for example.

Pure serverside mods should work on all platforms, but there are very few of those and you cannot install mods on xbox (console i mean, don't know about the store version on PC)
