Stardew is SO repetitive and I actually kinda hate that it started an entire genre of clone games....I got some cute bunny game the other day, was so excited to play, had it wishlisted etc....And then the head honcho rabbit shows up and he's like ok here's the board with everyone's birthdays and you're gonna have to make pies and put them in this box at the end of the day and also here's your farm

The crops option changes too much in the way of intended game mechanics for myself personally. Why give less reason to spread out and get creative in other biomes.

Things like an option to teleport metal make sense for time restrained players or people with genuine fears of sailing, but for the crops you can always just make a tiny fenced in area with a portal and be incredibly simple about it, with no additional time strains.

I can't speak for whether other games are better for building as my knowledge in this genre is very limited, however there are some excellent mods for Valheim to expand on your building. Not just stuff that adds new content but mods with more powerful building tools and options.

My favorite right now is good old Second Life but if you only want to focus on building, I would go for Open Sim, its open source counterpart, where you can get lots of land to build on for a lot cheaper - especially on ZetaWorlds grid. Then if you get good on Blender etc, you can upload your creations there & in Zeta the uploads are free. Don't expect to find a lot else to do though, you have to come up with your own things to do. Like, I'm a DJ in SL lol

I belive players who will play valheim from the start to finish will have alot easier time with the game, than returning players have had in the Early Access

this is my personal guessing btw. not facts or anything

but if someone plays valheim until they reach the devleopment cap. then come back 6-12 months later and picks it up again

First two portals was broken, defencies around the second portal was broken, 3 of us was dead, Morgan was patrolling with 2 friends... I’ve made it into a first one with the help of some friends, by climbing the wall with ladders (spotted flammetal was too dangerous to harvest with morgen and spawners around, could have lost everything in lava). We died a lot but got to clear it in the end. Now my outpost in this land of hell and death
