I thought so too... but then I realised how immersive it can be. Since it gives new reason to farm stuff and in general you feel less safe, which is essential for true survival experience. Since with portals you can continuously go back to safety from a tight situation and calm down and heal and so on, then go back to action again. Not so with no portals...

Although I did check out a suitable seed, so that a little of the game can be explored without having to grind so much early stuff

Problem is that with the later patches, my world has changed and therefore a lot of my buildings are falling apart due to the fact that the ground has changed so suddenly the stability is gone. I would like to start playing on the server again, but I was wondering if anyone knows a trick where I can avoid my buildings getting destroyed before I have fixed the issues with the new ground structure?

What is going on in here? People are arguing and being assholes? Come on, it is Friday. Summer starting. Be happy. Write positive stuff and so on since weather is good, don't make your mood not so good. Or if you let that happen, mind your manners at least.

Hows Valheiming going, or other stuff in other games, or real life? Focus on the good things...

I had a good week, ran, swam, trained kenjutsu, did all kinds of nice things. Played some games and had good time, took nice photos and especially videos, i met new interesting people and got them to try kenjutsu, we had hanami and had good time (flower blooming party no alcohol), i cleaned my apartment and called my mother and planned my next trip to Vantaa and Estonia, all in all had very good time. So why be grumpy on the internet.

And this is all minor compared how next week is going to be - so fantastic. Especially if i travel and meet more interesting people, exercise, do fun stuff, travel, buy souvenirs, go to foreign countries, play valheim there. Why buy nagry or grumpy on the internet or in valheim server. Oh and I can see well since many decades, since I had cataract surgery and can enjoy life... simple things.

You still feel like being angry in server? 🙂 Change your perspective 🙂

Also I could try pre-Finnish summer, meaning going to different countries in march, april, maybe even may, to get the summer before i get it in Finland. Got the idea too late for this year though, since it was already aroung near May when I got the idea.

the frost caves in the mountains seem kinda rare to anyone else?

I think there is always like 2 caves per mountain biome or something, but you might get absolutely cursed rng where there is like no loot generated in them and you have to farm them for days to get the spoilery stuff

World generation doesn't recognize individual instances of a biome so the amount that will generate in each mountain is completely random

It’s cool. Abomination is one of the scariest (in good sense) enemies in the game. My friend and I tried to escape from it and we got attacked by surtlings. We lost iron, but we got roots

Yeah. That is true. Maybe the swamp was a part of Black Forest, where abominations were kind of servants or kids of the Elder, but bonemass captured this zone and trees were cursed by it’s poison.

yup, i'm often short of big slash damage options so i mark geysers and carry around bonfire materials to deal with the big guys

What do you guys mean? Do you have some insider tips? 😂 I just use a sword and shield. Block, slash 2-3 times, repeat everything about 3-4 Times and it is downed, usually works really good

Creating a flat enough area near the altar with some earth pillars raised with hoe to use for cover from air attack, obsidian arrows and best bow with highest quality, any melee weapon (except Frostner) fares well, but honorable mention for Fang spear which is fast, deals good damage and very cheap to craft.
