I've looked at your rules and it doesn't say anything about servers who are hosting giveaways it stipulates that I can't advertise servers that you have to pay for but it doesn't say anything about hosting a server where people can earn money in the form of a gift card to steam which also aren't Prophets

in fact the wording of the legal ease is quite clear on the direction of the money and only covers pay for servers not servers where you can win

and the legalease of the game stipulates that I can't charge for the game or its use doesn't say anything about giving anybody money for and or gift vouchers for playing the game

so me saying that a specific server does giveaways doesn't break yours or iron gates rules in fact all it does is stimulate people into playing the game and purchasing further copies along with DLC

I recently got Valheim and been loving it, I was able to get some of my friends to also get it and they feel the same about the game as me. However there is one big issue, when I am not hosting our server no one else can play, so there are many instances when my friends want to play and progress in the game, but I just cannot get on. And I don't want to leave my PC on all the time, so I am wondering if there is any way to make my server open to my friends all the time, regardless of if I am hosting it or not?

if you manage and keep an eye on the distance of your friends, it's usually no problem since target priority is based purely on which one's the closest. sometimes it may feel otherwise because they don't immediately switch targets as soon as one comes closer, i think that's a check that happens every couple seconds

Anyone here experienced FPS drops after teleporting?

Context: so I destroyed those stone pillars in Plains by pickaxing the bottom for it to explode. After harvesting said stones, I then teleport to put it in my chest at home. Then FPS drops happen from 300 to 3fps.

I just think having square stone panel pieces like the wood pieces would give builders more options and I cant understand why that wasn't an option when stonemason was unlocked. I get the blocks but they already have the mesh for wood so why not just add those shapes in stone? Maybe not make beams but the other pieces would be nice. Reduce durability ig but then i wouldn't always have to use iron grates for depth.

Humminafl does 85 pierce and 58 shock the main use of this weapon is stagger as its heavy attack does over 800 stagger HOWEVER your 85 is actually 42.5 + 58 for 100 + your skill remember she has 12500 hp you'd need to hit her 125 times and thats will all the seekers running around and how often she teleports

Its fun for me, new char new seed all that, I often set myself personal goals independent from the game, some examples a) craft 3 weapons minimumeach biome and use them, exluding bows and axes b) build minimum 1 base per biome c) use bows and 2h hammers as primary weapons and minimize using other weapons d) Build only on islands where some swimming and portalling and intense sailing is always required e) Do not use swords or axes at all for damaging mobs etc

Heavy use of fishing is another one, then I do often things like also build fishing huts, or in c) I build archery range / ammo storage things

That’s possible too can also use devcommands “resetknownitems” to rediscover everything but if player based raids are turned on on an existing character world you gonna have some troubles lol

super chill playing solo always feel like im pressured sometimes playing mutliplayer to go out and explore with my friends when i want to build base

solo you can move at ur own pace, both are fun tho

My first exposure to the game I didn't play it more than 45 minutes - like I didn't even fight eikthyr - because it felt like something was missing. 6 months later I played it with some of my Most Favored Gamer friends and had a great time.

I was stoked when they added Player-based Raids for that reason. Then folks can kinda move at their own pace while more aggressive players can keep going. I wish there was a way to have a private "Temple" (I saw Smiffe use that word the other day and its better than spawning stones) so that players wh ohave not beat bosses yet wouldn't have access to later boss powers but that's a pretty minor gripe in the grand scheme.
