One example seed, hook at 9600 -200. Incidentally, I can now just spot Hook when it shows up on the seed site, it has the same shape every time.

when you see how trees work at the top you'll get what i mean, the anchor points aren't even attached to the trees, their animations move them back and forth but you can suspend a building in mid air remove the tree and never have a problem, unless they specifically alter that

So I'm in the process of getting tested for ADHD and ASS (autism).
Still a few tests to go and in June I'll get the final diagnosis.
Yesterday we had a "diagnostic talk" and at the end of the interview the examinator said, "I'd be surprised if you don't get the diagnosis of both mild ADHD and mild ASS."
No surprises there, still having it "confirmed" is a bit jaring and good at the same time though.

I see a whole lot of the problem I had as a kid and still have in them.

In some cultures, they were seen as noble and intelligent "beast/animal"; in others, they were seen as horrible actions of natural destruction (tornados, hurricanes, volcanos, etc..). When I look at the "history" of dragons through the ages, I personally regard them more as ancient descriptions of deadly or unexplainable forces of nature. The game is under development and a lot of mods break every time a patch is released. It's easy to mod the game as it is now, but making it more "visible" will just make more people frustrated when their mods break.

Mods may be officially supported when the game isfinished but honestly I don't see any point since it's easy to use mods as it is and with development fbished they'll stop breaking.
I do see the use of the workshop for more streamlined in-steam modding, though.

Agree I don’t think they want this type of automation in the game and I agree, but I think there is a happy medium here. If anyone’s played medieval dynasty they have a real nice mechanic there. You can change the settings to enable bulk crafting, but all it does is spend one animation/sound for a longer duration than a single item. Nice balance where it doesn’t feel automatic but cuts down on a lot of clicky grind

BG3 is very gamified version of D&D to accomodate for a video game style

There are missing spells and extra mehanics to make it more viable and playable as a video game, but the basics such as action+bonuss action+movement per turn is there

Things like jumping is very gamified, no DM will ever allow you to jumps as you do in the game

oh yeah i can't imagine how much more difficult it would be to not be able to jump

but at the same time that jumping does feel very unnatural and op at times

As much as I love BG3, it does annoy me the Larian style of only giving you 1 "large" location as your playground, sure its a fun playground but it limits the feeling of actual exploration of a large world map and immersion that a tabletop game has a potential of giving you. Why I'll have to admit, I prefer the Owlcats Pathfinder games

If you haven't played them I strongly recommend the Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous.

the crude bow has an extreme arrow drop compared to the later upgraded bows -- it's generally so bad I skip it altogether. there are many other ways to kill deer as well ||sneaking up and punching them in the butt, dagger power attack, throwing a spear, sprinting at them full speed, etc.||

Huntsman is probably the biggest jump, because you get pinpoint side to side accuracy. If you're good at anticipating shot falloff, all bows are pretty much equal in accuracy at that point.

hmm I'd say depends on your cape. When you sneak most the area of your body that is visible to the naked eye is covered by your cape, so if you have camouflaging cape it would be more stealthy than sitting where you see more of your chest

Tangentially related - I've been taking a long break from plying. Haven't touched the game since I finished the plains biome before Mistlands release. Wondering if there's a good reason to wait until Ashlands is out. Is it a fair assumption that I'll need to start a new world when that's released, or will the new biome update load into a new world created now?

Afaik itl be the same as the mistlands... Unexplored regions will update but even exploring nearby areas will prevent that area from updating

Any area a player hasn't been near hasn't actually been made yet, so it'll be made however the game wants to make it when the player gets there.

The game generates terrain and stuff as players explore (from a pre-set blueprint, but that blueprint can be changed when new things need to get into it - this is why loading a world takes longer after an update that changes the world generation, since it has to re-make the blueprint to fit in the new things).

Ashlands (and Mistlands) areas that have already been generated won't get the new stuff, so some players have old versions of Mistlands in their worlds, but as long as you don't explore a lot of current Ashlands/Deep North it should be fine.
