Well, you'd still be partially right. Like Germ said, we've lost a good chunk of members. So that definitely did hit activity. But things are back to normal for the most part now.

When you get back put a water bad with icepacks / icecubes in front of your fan.

Normally, yeah. They suggest you create a backup first.

Most of the "issues" with the PTBs have been balance or resource losing bugs, so in general the worlds have been more or less "safe". Best place to go discuss that though is in #valheim-public-test , you can get the role to join that channel from id:customize if you don't have access already.

No, it's literally only during storms or at night. Night spawns will despawn at daybreak but storm spawns won't.

Yeah, but GPUs automatically overclock these days. You can disable that. Overclocking draws more power (wattage includes voltage after all)

but try disabling aero / animatinos etc and see if that changes how much wattage it's drawing

So something weird shit just happened to me. I thought my old GPU, an old rx590, had died a week ago. Tried many many times to reseat it but my PC just won't turn on. So I was kind of pissed so I removed it and shook it around a bit. Today I got a new GPU, much newer and expensive one, but before installing it I decided to give the 590 another shot, and its weird it started working just perfectly fine! PC turned on with no issues...

Of course, its usefulness depends on how of stamina-based you are, if you primarily eat health food it's not very good, but if you're stamina based and want to stay out of melee it's great.

I think it pretty much entirely depends on the quality of the map provided.

For example (hot take) but Ark has some absolutely gorgeous maps, with a lot of opportunity. The game might have its issues, but some of the maps are pretty amazing.

Id say, a very well crafted non procedurally generated map would be more awesome in my book than procedurally generated map massive in size and lacking of small details, pois and stuff that makes the non procedural, hand crafted world feel like

I agree, if a procedural generated map lacks in content, then often times it doesn’t deliver. It’s less about generated vs premade, and more about content provided.

Hand crafted is very often better, procedural generation is mainly a tool to have big maps without having to hand craft all of it. It requires the hand crafting of everything being done properly though, not quickly and sloppy because it's so much to make.

Enshrouded has really fun movement, probably the best in the survival genre right now. But even its beautiful building lacks the depth and complexity of Valheim's building, aside from being able to build underground, but the depth of Valheim's building still trumps it.

Grounded has by far the best AI out of any Survival Game, but it's quite tiny so they have the luxury to get into the tiny details.

The biggest reason it went to XBox is because MS approached IG and asked for it, effectively. There's also much better update process on XBox than there is on PS from what I understand, it takes more time and effort to do patches and updates. That said, after EA it's quite likely that it's not a huge lift to get it to Playstation, but there's nothing announced currently and I wouldn't count on it until it is.

If it didn't take out the boat, it's probably still just floating there. Everything pauses when you get out of range, such as respawning in a situation like that.

Literally any bow. Even the crude bow. The iron bow (hunter's bow) is super nice because it's quiet and won't draw attention, and is reliably accurate. Any arrow, even wooden arrows, but the best you have will be more useful against the Fuling. If you can sneak in, 'squitos will even just wander around and sit still for a while and the Hunter's bow can snipe them with no additional aggro.

Deathsquitos are the literal incarnation of a glass cannon 😉
