ive finished the new vion base 1
pretty easy ig, you can beat it with molecules and neutrons
at least thats what i tried out
finally realized why the effects werent showing, you need effectChance
for these generators i set it to an all time high lol
heres a sector that really requires you to think
your only source of nearby tryphoton is blocked by a huge wall but yo ucan use the gateway to get it
its basically your only source of tryphoton and power so youll have to use it wisely

currently working on a map that has like 6 pools of pure tryphoton and tryphoton creatures will emerge from them every so often so now not only do you have to deal with the enemies but you have to deal with them too
not to mention that you start with alot of titanium but the only sources of titanium on the sector are near said pools
torture
its asthosus all over again 🧌
nah asthosus is way better and is (i think) all enemy maps
this gives you pain even on capture sectors
thats why its called thanaras which is taken from thanatos, personification of death
also im going by the saying "if everything is OP then its balanced"

its its own thing im not tryna make this mod into it just doing what my imagination decides
comparing it to asthosus isnt bad though
its diffrent enough from it

ok so i did a bit of testing
the map is way too hard lol im gonna tone it down by making the tryphotons spawn way farther
my laptop died in the middle of testing the mao
but its balanced now
i think
ill probably have to give the player more prep time but from what ive seen its beatable i think
gave the player a vion drone because its cool
aight heres some more gameplay
as you know, titanium can only be found near the pools
and unfortunately each pool will spawn a tryphoton creature
hence i made these titanium extracting posts that are defended by orbs
not much but its progress

i think ill also work on the effects for the creatures cuz rn theyre mostly composed of oh noes
got some good news about the map
idk why but the maps i design have really hard early game, absolutely easy mid game, and the late game just depends on how well youve done during mid game
like thanaras maps have that sense of accomplishment, like once you get things going on midgame you think it will be alright
then suddenly the guardian wave comes and your base is destroyed by 3 flying iotas
this map doe, once you get control of that section of the map your basically done for life
its got tryphoton, titanium, and tungsten, all you need to start experimenting and building up your defense
ok maybe the tier 4 rift on wave 23 was a bad idea

supposed to be like that bullet deflector from erekir
its basically the only "defensive" building that vion has
defensive as in walls and stuff, except this is kinda just "bullet go bye bye
maybe one thing i can do to differentiate this from erekir is for this to have a small range but quick fire rate
gonna make some new vion environments for the later levels
like we have dense vion so there should be stupid vion and idiot vion
thats not a bad idea actually
also the scenery just gets more chaotic cuz chaos is the embodiment of vion lol
gonna make a weird but fun idea for a map
ok now that i think about it... i should have named it "bleeding vion" instead of "idiot vion"

i will however give the player an assault drone so they get a temproary boost so its not the end of the world
also the enemies will be much stronger as most of them are slowed down
since your turrets are unaffected they will have the upperhand

even though the enemies are slow, so is your progression
im on wave 2 rn and i just barely made it out with 2 hastatis and 2 turfs

was able to start mining vion on i think wave 6
im gonna make the drill require less power, its taking too much for its size lol
the day nexus mod gets a playthrough is the day ascension happens
might need to add more color to the vion sprites so that they dont all look the same

its laggy when i use mindustry and chrome at the same time

theres weapons in there they just blend in
testing out the buffed map its ok so far
you really need to utilize the vion turrets here since they are so powerful and you have quite literally unlimited vion quartz
