Above around 30W monolithic LED emitters haven’t been relevant for the last 10 years because the lower efficiency of higher wattage LEDs but with COB (or arrays of SMD LEDs) you can use many smaller LEDs to increase the overall brightness without losing as much efficiency

I am currently running an nh u12s on my 5800x, but my fans keep having to spin up pretty loud to get it to stay moderately low. Would an AIO keep temps more reasonable? Im planning to upgrade to an AM5 motherboard with 9700x-9900x so it would be used on that down the line as well

Im running a custom fan curve that afaik used to keep things pretty cool without this loud spinup, i switched to linux and now monitor my temps a bit closer so may have always been the way it was
