just returned from 2 day visit of my dad. He has a Lenovo AIO, which has an M.2 slot and a SATA connector for hard drive.

You can boot Windows 10 or 11 from USB, install it to the NVMe, cause Windows sees the NVMe. But the UEFI doesn't see it, thus it can't boot from it 🤷‍♂️ . Seen few various solutions to switch this or that in settings, but nope, that settings doesn't even exist on this model of the AIO.

In the end i decided just to clone the existing 1TB WD drive (which itself was on it's last legs, it had a peak speed of 20MB/s) to a 1TB 840 Evo i had with me.

Now the computer runs fine (imagine upgrading from 4GB to 16GB RAM and from dying 1TB WD 3.5" drive to 1TB SATA SSD)

Does anyone know how to troubleshoot issues of an m.2 nvme internal SSD not being recognized as valid storage in your PC? I’m running windows 11, asrock b850 rx2.0 WiFi motherboard. I’ve made sure my bios is up to date, tried both m.2 slots on the board, can’t seem to get it to work. It shows up under devices and in the bios just not under disk management and it isn’t showing as a valid option to boot windows onto either
