I'm doing a series of upgrades and need to reinstall windows.

i have 2 1tb drives:

• m.2 gen 3 NVME (a Crucial P2)
• m.2 SATA (yes, ik, weird and bad standard, long story, I already have it, it's a Teamgroup MS30) that will be going in an m.2 to 2.5" adapter

Before the upgrades and windows reinstall: the SATA drive is my current boot drive and I use my NVME drive for games and other stuff.

But if I'm reinstalling windows, should I swap the roles? It'd be a bit of a pain to back up everything from my NVME drive to wipe it and install windows but not impossible, but because of that if it isn't too much of a big deal then I'd rather not do it.
