Messy desk. But I have a possible idea as to why gpu1 malfunctioned. It is likely possible there was a transient spike from either gpu that could have dropped the 12v rail voltage very breifly both GPUs were unloaded and I was only moving my mouse between displays to test if the graph would report the clock speed changes. Both GPUs function fine on their own and together on windows. Maybe I have to look into how I have them wired up.
