It's the best phone you can get . Granted I wouldn't have paid full price I got a nice trade in on my carrier. $500 for my 14 pro. I also needed to replace my phone battery which cost $100 by apple.

The calculation is different. I would've gone s26+ bc I've never used the s pen before so I didn't know. But I didn't want a 3-4 year old camera. They made the ultra cameras a lot better this year 30% more light but kept the same cameras since the s22 or s23

So a $1300 phone cost me $700.

So is $200 worth it for a . 2" bigger screen and s pen and 4 year newer camera esp the telephoto. And yeah it is. $1300 for ultra or $1100 for plus.

Taps DSLR and Mirrorless cameras sitting on my shelf. Though of course, a real camera is not as portable so there's that.

But the lenses are significantly different on the ultra and the iPhone. Yes both sony made just like how Samsung makes like all phone panels. The hard part is, almost all cameras cheaper than a phone take photos worse than a phone... You'd be better off buying a used Pixel, iPhone, or one of the really strong Oppo/Vivo phones for photography rather than a 400 junky camera. Unless I'm missing something, the low end sucks right now
