Idk for a thin and light I don’t need more than 16gb ram and much storage and have external ssd I can use too. Framewoek seems to make more sense as a bigger device where its price is closer.

And it’s really nice. Like it felt better than a MacBook Air in a lot of ways. Metal body glass covering the screen. 6 core zen 4 cpu (zen 5 wasn’t even out then I’m pretty sure), 16gb of ram and 256gb ssd.

UEFI bootloader idk but you might need to create more than one partition even. At least one even if it's still possible to have one of them put into system vol. Idk. But youd need free space at least couple hundred megs. Maybe a non-system partition is the very last one and you can shrink. If it's all C: because you joined them, I think too late. Maybe boot on another disk if you can install one. Never tried uefi win boot on different disk. Can you even?

So big chance reinstall unavoidable. Honestly at least yeah downgrade to 10. That's actually a huge win imo. And if anything, you could always upgrade to 11 if and when you need it (pretty soon BF8 or something gonna make us)

hello everyone good morning for some ^^. i recently bought a gigabyte 5070 to upgrade my gpu because the architecture programs i use are heavy on the gpu. so anyway my current rig is i7 10700 16 gb ram ddr 4 3600 mhz gigabyte z490m motherboard an m2 ssd and a corsair cx750f rgb psu. i tried plugging in the 5070 in my pc and the pc started doing something like restarting, like the rgb stayed on but the computer sent me straight to windows home to login with my password like every time you boot it up. i first thought it was a driver error and i re installed the drivers and still nothing then i formated my ssd because i thought that the drivers might have been installed wrong but it still does it. some other simptoms are the sound is kinda buggy sometimes and the reboot that i told ya. im starting to think that its a psu fault even tho its 750 watts anyone has any other thoughts mind sharing? there's zero reason for that. You just need more flux to make the metal flow well. If your solder has a shitty flux core then you'll just need to go and buy a jar of flux. If you've ever seen a video online of solder work and they throw an enormous glob of goo onto the pad, that's flux paste from a jar

you have to remove the solder mask from the incoming trace and attach a wire to that. That's getting into very delicate repair work that's probably best left to a pro. At the very least you should find some other dead/old hardware to practice on before attempting that on the hardware you care about

A pad's connection to the trace is an incredibly thin and fragile bit of copper. I don't recommend relying on that remaining connected if your pad is just floating with only that little bit keeping it connected
