Not an expert, so heads up. Yes and No. If you have a good surge protector the amount of damage can be mitigated to a reasonable level. But I would invest in a UPS if able. There is a chances you may never see damage due to power outages, I would just take the steps to minimize damage. I fried a DELL server buy not having it protected from power flashes so...

So I have been noticing something weird lately. bare in mind that this didn't happen with previous installations of windows 11, just this one

so sometimes when I am on a program like discord or spotify. The frames of the app seemingly stop refreshing when in full screen? this is mainly a fullscreen issue. to make the screen of the program refresh I have to window it where it refreshes. why is that happening?

eg. we are in public chat rn, I would click sometimes on tech chat 2. but my screen still shows me public chat. when I window discord, it would show tech chat 2

I think it'd be funny to get like a gaming laptop and embed it into a car attached to a normal looking head unit and have a physical steam button in the car to launch big picture mode
Maybe even put it in between some normal dash buttons

Weird question: Is choosing AMD SAM over DDR5 support worth it? For context: I have 2 CPUs, 1 Intel system with an i3-13100F and another with a Ryzen 5 3600. Hey, to be fair, I'm one who buys Apple products, and I'll likely always buy their phones and tablets every 3-4 years or so, but I've used Android over the years, tried Google Pixels and Samsung Galaxy S-series phones, even a HTC One M7. Depends entirely on what you need your computer to do. If your primary use-case is gaming and you play anything that requires anti-cheat... you're pretty much stuck with Windows.
