I think the VPN video should have explained fingerprinting. Most people lose their privacy on VPN the second they don't use a browser, app, etc that obscures that data. Large data brokers can link your VPN IP to other sources like you re-logging in to Epic Game Store at the exact same time your VPN turns on and narrow it down to you even further through latency of packet logs, hardware configuration, etc.

i hate win 11. i have here two different pictures and documents folders. one folder is in my c drive under my username and then that folder. the other one is a one drive folder.

the problem is, I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER WHERE MY FILES GO. Some apps and games are using the one drive document folder, some are using the normal document folder. all my screenshots are going to the one drive folder but my actual screenshot folder is supposed to be the "screenshot" folder in my c drive.

PS: i did copy the C drive from a previous computer to this one, but that could'nt be the issue cuz the paths are all the same. right?

we have been. the woes of the HDR issues on windows have been talked about again and again on their forums.

when you take screenshot on an HDR monitor, you should get two different screenshots. one HDR tuned, and one SDR one. but the windows SDR screenshots always look either too washed or two blown up in brightness. its just one of the many issues MS just ignored

and one of my most frustrating issus to date have been with bluetooth headphones. bluetooth headphones today come with two "modes", one is high quality audio, one is low quality audio used on calls etc.

in win 10 both these modes were shown as their own separate devices. "Bluetooth headset" and "Hands free AG". if you had your own mic, you could disable, hands free AG, and recieve high quality audio while on a call. especially helpful when playing a game with a friend in discord.

BUT IN WINDOWS 11, THEY REMOVED THIS. AND CALLED IT A FREAKING FEATURE THAT YOU NOW CANNOT CONTROL.

so now even if you have an external mic, you are stuck with low quality audio, because windows thinks thats what you want.

whats worse is that i did find a fix, but its so convulted that the average user can never find it.

I am an Electronics Master's student (23 years old) currently using an HP Omen 15 from 2021 with Ryzen 5 4600H and GTX 1650 Ti. While the laptop's performance is still quite good for my needs, I am facing some issues:

The laptop weighs 2.5 kg, and the charger adds another 0.6 kg, making it inconvenient to carry to the library.
The battery backup is around 3 hours, which is insufficient for my long study sessions.
To address these issues, I have a few options in mind and would appreciate your advice on which route to take:

Financial Situation
I am a student in another country but working part-time at a research institute, so I have money to spend on a laptop.
Is it a good decision to buy a new laptop now, or should I just do the cheap upgrade (charging brick) and save money for the future?
Your input will be highly valuable in helping me make an informed decision.

Option A: Upgrade the Current Laptop
Change the Battery
Drawback: Even when new, the battery life wasn't great, and the weight issue remains.
Change the Charging Brick to a GaN Charger
Advantage: This is the cheapest long-term solution.
Drawback: The weight issue is still not solved.
Option B: Buy a New Laptop
Considerations:
Should I go with a copilot+ PC setup for great battery life and use my current Windows laptop for occasional x86 heavy workloads?
Should I buy a thin and light Intel Core Ultra laptop?
As a investment is it a good choice to buy it?

Lol the laptop I used for most of college was about 10lbs when you include the charger.

Snapdragon laptop would be great if battery life is of utmost importance.

If you wanna get a new x86 machine, I'd recommend waiting for Intel and AMD to launch their next generation of mobile products later this year.
