Nobody believes that these mistakes were malicious in nature. We would need substantially more evidence to even indicate that.

But the fact of the matter is is when bad data sways a conclusion in a review you have a problem that you need to solve.

That was the point of the video. That LMG (due to data errors which then mean inaccurate conclusions on products) needs to get better and in the meantime this serves as a consumer warning to not base your purchasing off of these videos.

I think it's first video he didn't get carried away. He tried to shorten his video and he missed critical aspects particularly about framework The other conflicts of interest I think are valid.

He could've reported that they asked for it back, because Linus wouldn't need it anymore, instead he reported that they asked for it back because it was needed for development. If billet said it was vital for their development then that wouldn't change, they said it was their best prototype, which they could use for further testing, meaning they wouldn't have to invest in building another one, so it could very well be vital, or atleast more beneficial for them to have the product back seeing as Linus had no intention of using it again (giving them advertisement). This was the issue, and was one of many that Steve was talking about and using it as an example of the failures within the organisation, saying it's systemic. If there was 1 mistake, it wouldn't be an issue, but when there's many, it's systemic and people lose out because of it. This is the crux of GNs point. It made no difference what the original agreement was ?, Fact is things changed and LMG dropped the ball. I don't think the original agreement would've mattered to people calling Linus a thief because anybody who actually understood Steve's point understood the point he was making, and I can confidently say this because we were discussing this very situation before any concrete evidence of the original agreement came out

Directions

1. Evenly position 2 racks in the middle of the oven and preheat to 375 degrees F. (on convection setting if you have it.) Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone sheets. (If you only have 1 baking sheet, let it cool completely between batches.)
2. Put the butter in a microwave safe bowl, cover and microwave on medium power until melted. (Alternatively melt in a small saucepan.) Cool slightly. Whisk the sugars, eggs, butter and vanilla in a large bowl until smooth.
3. Whisk the flour, baking soda and salt in another bowl. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients with a wooden spoon; take care not to over mix. Stir in the chocolate chips or chunks.
4. Scoop heaping tablespoons of the dough onto the prepared pans. Wet hands slightly and roll the dough into balls. Space the cookies about 2-inches apart on the pans. Bake, until golden, but still soft in the center, 12 to 16 minutes, depending on how chewy or crunchy you like your cookies. Transfer hot cookies with a spatula to a rack to cool. Serve.
5. Store cookies in a tightly sealed container for up to 5 days.

For a Rocky Road Bar:

1. Lightly butter a 9 by 13-inch baking pan. Make the batter as per cookie recipe and fold in 1 cup chopped walnuts along with the chocolate chips. Spread batter in prepared pan. Bake until the edges are light brown and the batter sets, about 45 minutes. Cool slightly and cover surface with 4 cups marshmallows and 1 cup chocolate chips. Broil at least 8 inches from the heat until marshmallows turn golden brown, about 2 minutes. (Keep an eye on the marshmallows, and turn the pan frequently--they go from golden to char in a wink.) Cool, cut and serve.

I think it's fair. Dark breads are earthy and usually more rich in flavor. For some that's off-putting compared to the neutral and warm flavor of white breads (sans sourdough)
