The “monitor” of the laptop is heavily optimized and integrated to be used by the computer within the laptop itself. In this situation yes, but that still doesnt "make your laptop display a display for your console". It lets you capture your consoles gameplay through a pc program. haha nah, its also dependent on the scene in the game, for example, if you had 200 npcs with complex ais fighting in a big detailed area, the fps would plummet to like 20, vs 300fps in a calmer scene.

And when I did use to play minecraft, I stuck to 1.12, and also because of the post 1.16 insane lag

Ohhh I see, that sounds pretty nice, and about unity, even an empty scene with one low poly, low res terrain already uses 400~ mb of ram, quite a bit of cpu/gpu power, and requires dx9 and winxp as a minimum sadly

I think it supports opengl and every platform xP and ye, it has a lot of overhead, you would have to dig deeper into the engine and find out what's using those ram/cpu xP
Tho rust/c++ from scratch game would give you maximum customizability, but a bit more work xD
