drywall, or plasterboard, is a really common way of speeding things up... i have plasterboard in my house, but its only because its easier than rough plastering over brick, then skimming the rough plaster. the problem with plasterboard and new houses, is that all the interior walls except for 1 main supporting wall, are hollow stud walls... which not only is incredibly wasteful for heat, you cant hang anything on the fucking wall, because the builders usually make the gaps between beams as wide as they can, without cross bracing. which is just stupid... luckily for me, every wall in my house is made out of proper bricks 😄
