If source MAC is something else than THIS, DROP and stop processing.

So if the MAC wasn't that one specific one, then the IP address is never checked.

If MAC matched, but ADDRESS didn't, then the traffic gets dropped later.

And remember that MAC rules only work in same network.

Ah, yeah, other way around was how I added it, as I already had the accept this IP rule, so added the inverted mac DROP rule above it.

UTF-16 and UTF-8 are just different encodings for Unicode.
Both can encode all Unicode code points.
So converting between them properly doesn't break anything.

Difference is that UTF-8 works on 8-bit increments with multiple bytes when needed, with 1-4 bytes used. Also the single-byte version is compatible with 7-bit ASCII.
UTF-16 works on 16-bit increments, with 2 or 4 bytes used.
Windows natively uses UTF-16, (LE means little-endian subversion, specifies byte-order).

UTF-8 "won" the Internet etc.
But UTF-16 is used behind the scenes a lot, like by Windows, Java etc.

Simple comparison, included the Byte-Order-Mark (BOM) for both:

The decoded text is with 8-bit Windows ANSI ASCII decoding.

And once you go outside the 7-bit ASCII zone, just dropping the extra NULLs will not work anymore.
And possibly not even before that, not sure how closely the UTF-16 follows the 7-bit ASCII.

it was so hot in the morning so i disconnected power station from grid, so it lost its charge (cause i also used it and forgottent o connect back) so it now sits at 0% and is overheated and doesn't charge nor kick the fans to cool down. also it will get hotter.

You would first often need to remove the backplate and install thermal pads to connect the back of the PCB (or the back memory modules) to the backplate.

With back RAM, only less than 50% of GPU models actually have pads for them.
And without back RAM, there almost certainly isn't pads.

Well, it is that specific heatsink + fan combo, but with the fan disconnected.

Trying to determine how large heatsink fits on Raspberry Pi 4 CPU...
Because the official mechanical drawings don't specify the sizes of the components,only their centerpoints compared to certain stadia points.

And not even those for all the chips.

The USB ports top out at 13.6mm above the CPU top surface.

With about 37x32mm space when going in all directions away from the memory chip until something higher than the CPU comes along.

And the point is to get CPU sink that almost hits the top header, the left connector and the black diode next to the USB-C connector.

Those Micro-HDMIs are 3.0mm high when the CPU is 2.4mm high.

But yes, kind of pixel counting.
Take a screenshot of thing with measurements.
Put it into Word.
Make a line that is multiple of that measurement (or 1:1 in this case).
Then rescale the image so that the line is same length as the specific thing in the image.
Then just make more lines and check their length.

Weird that the package size of the Broadcom CPU isn't public data...

So about 32mm wide, 38mm high, 13,6mm tall possible staying inside the USB port height for the CPU.
And the case with airflow gap should allow for 3mm more than that at least, even if there isn't any inset after the gap ends to the inner roof.

Two Fischer ICK SMD A 17 heatsinks for the RAM chip (6.3mm wide, 17mm long, 4.8mm high each) (as the ICK SMD K, 13.5mm wide, 15.24mm high, isn't available at small numbers).
Two Fischer ICK SMD F 8 heatsinks for the USB and LAN (8.0mm wide, 8.0mm long, 6mm high).
And then SK448, SK581 or SK691 in 37.5mm long version for the CPU, haven't checked the availability and prices yet.

Or maybe the ICK SMD F 17 for the RAM... 8mm wide, 6mm high.
Common size on the kits for that is 10x14xlow

Ok, so SK 400 37.5 (33.0x37.5x10mm) for the CPU, 2x SMD F 26 for the RAM (8.0x10.0x6.0mm) (one or two used, have to see), and 2x SMD F 10 (8.0x10.0x6.0mm) for the USB and LAN.

75 ohm RG-179 with FEP insulation, good for down to -90C for static use and -55C for flexible, and in this case it would need to go from trunk lid to main body, so flexing during winter.

Standard wire insulations are only good for down to -30C in non-moving.

That FEP version costs over 3 times what the PE base version costs in Finland.

Yes, checked sideways pics to make sure that the other stuff is lower than the CPU.
And that that specific diode is the first thing that is probably too high.

Those two resistors next to the memory chip might be a problem.
And the heatsink on the LAN chip needs to be higher up because of the bottom right corner big resistor that is high.

But for the RAM chip, I can make cuts into the sink and insulate.

And seems that with the Pi 4 Rev 1.5, the one big thingie is gone and many smaller parts have replaced it.
With 1.5 having been in production since 2022.
