but terribly low price
scotched taped down batteries is the funniest shit they do lmao
it use standard cheaping
instead of screwing cheaping
i.e low support and low performance parts
but somewhat well-tried low cost parts
the amount of absolutely destoyed acer's and asus's i saw at my school this year not even being durable enough to last a year was crazy
i.e
you can go Acer if you are looking for cheap
but yes, don't expect anything better than cheaped out
you need more resistant stuff for school
yea acer is cheap shit for cheap at the end of the day
but it gets the job done for a bit
it's like these stupid bastard saying teenagers are not caring
like dick head you're just not walking your equipment constantly every fucking single day of the year
putting it in crowded space and getting it back up in a light flash because otherwise you will miss your surprise exam
my dell tanked school
it even held up to someone trying to vandalise it whit one of thoes wood burning thingies
to like draw or whatever on wood
wtf
one of these things
although i wonder if thats what lead to the battery failing
its not for soldering its to burn wood
floppies ?
you mean floppy disks ?
I would try to use uwp
unless it requires Microsoft account
in the end it's a web app
So I suspect uwp be more supported
Not Steam games mostly.
And if you look, the "slow" was 200MB/s, which was the joke π€£
Also Thermalright Heilos should be TPM7950.
I have some on order.
But for US market, ~~moddiy and ~~LTT sell PTM7950.
And moddiy sells the paste format too and not just the strip format.
Well, when checked, the moddiy shipping is expensive to anywhere.
Ah, Hong-Kong based (moddiy)
Also I think you meant to post those to #off-topic-general ?
That I cannot help with, I only knew about Noodles the cat.

Lost on what is going on.
Anyways, I'm off to do OS reinstall ->
Anyways, the install works, just need to do the basic install second time as the recovery partition was put into wrong spot.
And I bothered to open Discord on the secondary computer.
No, I didn't.
Seems to be eSports top-end for StarCraft 2.
I haven't ever cared for any eSports, ever.
And now the installer fucked up by not creating the MSR and recovery partitions...
Because I left the old EFI partition in place.
Just not being aware of the stupid ways the installer is coded to do shit.
I know the Windows installer does this kind of stupid shit, just not about the specific triggers.
Went hardcore and created all the partitions manually with diskpart while in the installer.
EFI, MSR, recovery and normal ones.
Im so bad at SC2 that one my 2v2 game is uploaded to YouTube by the opponents to laugh at us π
System is still holding up! π₯³
Let the game ran for 12 hours yesterday, without an issue.
And another reinstall, as I fucked up with drivers for Thunderbolt and sound card, when the stuff didn't seem to work.
Got it to work, but don't want the wrong stuff to stay behind.
Needed to shut the computer down and remove standby power for things to start working.
Better to redo now, than need to redo in few weeks like I had with the sound card on the previous install show up.
With it forgetting settings while playing, and needing to change away and back.
Switching from 5.1 virtual surround with heaphones to plain 2.0.
I hate when the media abuse the term "hacker attack" without even knowing what it means....
Recently, some employee here in Croatia had the authorization to extract a database with information about vehicle owners and copied the database on a usb stick
He later probably sold the information to car insurance companies
The media calls this "hacker attack" even though it has nothing do to with hacking π€¦ββοΈ
According to this logic, anyone who has access to a confidential database and knows how to extract it to a USB drive can be called "hacker"
But where in hell have I placed the latest version of the "You need to change this after install" document...
Ok, was just on the laptop.
I don't help her but rather do everything instead of her π
Because I helped her in the past, she would write down instructions and later forget everything or refuse to read what's on the computer screen
There is no point in teaching people if they are pretending to "learn" when in fact they just want you do their stuff every time
Like, if you are old and don't know how to use technology, just tell me and I will do the tasks instead of you
Just don't ask me to teach you about technology if you are just going to be pretending like you are learning
*and later ask me do everything instead
I have been trying to teach my mother how to turn off a laptop for more than 10 years and she still asks me for help....
There are old people who are at least trying to learn something and then there are old people who are always going to expect others to help them so they don't bother learning
At least I am going to become an Uncle in the next 2 weeks or sooner
I didn't have those links.
I had just seen Noodle being reposted on Imgur, but looked for the actual original source today.
Just to link here.
And the firewall rules didn't move over cleanly with the config file export & import...
It means when you drive really hard. π
I think it's you're hard when you drive
Well congratulations to my raspberry 5 for frying its boot stick
surprised it took this long
It was even a 32GB sandisk one
you shouldve gotten that enterprise 32g one
No we don't.
Might not been temperature, but just wearing out from writes.
yall my graphics driver suddenyl crashed and after multiple restarts it still does not exist, any ideas why?
I mean the heatsink I've added is fairly hot
like barely touchable hot
wasn't it a brand new sandisk ?
Yeah this is a new stick. Old one got fried
I'd be mad if I had paid any money for it
But I expect it to get used a lot. It got a webserver and a db on it
And the OS
But at least you can pay with your bank card there, right?
Here, you can only pay with card if you use an app but in order to use an app, you have to ask people to move from the doors so you can scan a QR code....
You need a ticket from the machines, or use the app. Can't use your bank card on the bus.
Do you have to scan anything with the app?
Oh, it seems the changed it an apparantly you can pay directly with your bank card.
I hate when the bus/tram is crowded and you have to ask people to move so you can scan the QR code with your app in order to pay
but if there is inspection, you have to show your bank account. Because it doesn't give you receipt as proof.
Oof π
Why not get an nvme hat herg?
I guess it's to reduce paper π
But if you are unlucky, and you don't have 4G, you cannot show it either.
what if you don't wanna pay with card?
You can get a ticket.
and only carry cash
My app generates a QR code which you can show to the inspection
At some terminals, you have ticket machines. Or you can use the app.
Why can't we have simple and logical things? Like, pick the line on the app, pay with your card and get the QR code (or something else) which you show to the ticket inspector
But no, you have to move through the crown in order to scan the damn code....
Here we don't?
In the app, I can buy for example 10 tickets. I can activate a ticket before I get on the bus.
Then when there is inspection, I show that I activated my ticket.
I might just go for something like this
People might not always activate a ticket though.
And when they see inspection, quickly activate it π
Here, you can't but a ticket through the app if you don't scan these (or tap them) on the doors....
And then you inspection will say: "But you just activated it... that's sus" and then people say "Oh, but I just had time to do it etc etc"
Damn.
Love the barely hidden NFC tag there lol
There are the fines you can get:
Yeah, they decided it's more simple to place a tag on the glass and simply cover it with a sticker
Oh, you can also send a text message I believe to get a ticket π
So that's ... 4-5 ways? π€
But the thing is, public transport is crap here: always late, bad connections, unpleasant rides, old busses etc.
At least our fines aren't that big (translated with Google)
Eh, we got a problem over here. Nobody pays to take the bus or metro.
Because there is barely any inspection.
lol
And you can just enter the bus from the back, middle or front. So the driver can't check it either.
Even our metro system is not gated π
I've seen in some countries, if you want to take the metro, the entrances are gated.
Brussels has it. But not flanders. (Different companies)
Here, there is a famous line with a very grumpy driver who will only open the front doors and ask everyone to show their ticket or buy it
If you try to avoid him, he will beat the shit out of you lol
I've never been on that line but I might need to next week, I should probably buy him a chocolate too so he doesn't kill me
They are pretty much scared because of stabbing and violence. So I doubt they have any authority.
Let me rephrase, they have authority, they will not use it. Because it's not going to work.
I think "De Lijn" (bus/metro public transport) has a special security team. So if there are issues, they come out together with the police.
I even see it happen in the train station. The security is privatized now.
I think they changed the law here few years ago. If you assault a school teacher or a bus driver, you can get 5 years in prison max
But people still attack drivers anways....
That's the security force for train stations now.
Yeah, pretty crazy that it's a thing now.
These are the inspectors of "De Lijn" π
We don't even have enough drivers, not to mention security lol
It wasn't a thing 10-20 years ago.
Well, security doesn't exist tbh
Because people had respect. (Only speaking for my country).
But then they started stabbing drivers and other crazy shit and now we got this.
Same here. When I was in elementary school, nobody had the balls to assault or insult the teacher. Today it's a norm....
Not to mention, parents were afraid of teachers in the past and today it's the opposite
Yeah, my sis is a teacher. She has more issues with parents than the kids itself.
If your child doesn't have straight A's, everyone blames the teacher
My sis can can tell parents a whole year, that their kids need to do their tasks and study etc. Parents don't give a shit. At the end of the year, the kid has bad grades. And then they blame my sister π€£ Like wtf?
"What more can I do than teach, support and communicate with the parents?"
I wonder what went wrong in the last 20 years
I don't know. Multiple things I guess.
and I don't think there is one solution either. It has to be multiple things to change.
I blame the parents and their "My child is special and he/she can be anything" mentality
it comes back even earlier
but it didn't explode yet
I do get why conscription is back on the table for some EU countries.
To get some discipline back into society.
But where does that come from? Television? Internet? Thinking free-speech means you can say whatever you want?
"can be anything" without working hard (that's the big problem)
Oh shit, I just read FromSoftware (Souls games, Blood Borne, Elden Ring) got hit by ransomeware. 1,5TB of data stolen π (tp.kadokawa.co.jp/.assets/240627_release_en_wD9vY5XU.pdf)
of course you should be able to be anything you want
as long as you give yourself the strength enough and that's part of the talent
People ignoring there is skill and not everyone is skilled for the job is insane
Here, russian hackers recently targeted public institutions like hospital, tax department, etc....
it's like lying to yourself championship
US got hit too a while back. A hospital.
Data of 1 million citizens. Oof.
The hospitals had to shut down their systems which resulted in patients waiting for hours
Oh, it wasn't a hack sorry.
It was a disgruntled employee who got fired from a 3rd party company of the hospital.
And they though, "let's steal all this data".
And that's why you revoke all access immediately of anyone you fire.
Cybersecurity is the future.
In the future: AI hacking. AI doing cybersecurity π
I hope not!
Cyberpunk is going to be right at this rate.
Shits crazy!
I think hackers want to steal patient data so they can sell it to a third party
WHAT!?
AWWWWW HELL NAH! -Clint
Or to destabilize countries who are not kind to you.
But hackers are getting paid by goverments, they don't do it for free.
WTF... clicking on "find printers" enables Internet connection sharing to WLAN partially...
Oh, sorry. Didn't realize you were being sarcastic π
That does make sense? Wireless printers?
Oh nah man Iβm just Fortressβs other personality, you good g.
lol
Ah, yeah, seems there are WiFi Direct printers etc...
Well, time to kill that stuff in the firewall.
Yo Fortress wants me to ask something for her, mind if I spill it?
Yes there are π Had one long ago. Was pretty shit.
You remind me of that star trek species with multiple hosts lol
A nightmare to get the wifi setup because you had to do it on the printer. And the menu was bad. The whole UX was bad.
Hive mind?
Hey Iβll take that! As long as no one calls Fortress a freak.
It was so bad, I went back to good old USB
Trill species
No, different thing than this.
That is normal that you connect the printer manually to a WiFi.
WiFi Direct is different thing.
Yeah, but once I've set up the printer, I have to search from my PC to the printer ...
It's not going to appear like magic.
Just normal network printer with WiFi connection for the Printer.
So, if you disabled wifi, it's normal to activate it?
Doesn't need the insane shit that is happening.
Microsoft just wants to make it easy for the stupid users
Not enabling WiFi, enabling sharing of the computers network connections to AP that is created with the WiFi card in the computer.
"eh, let's enable wifi before users going to spam our tech support because they forgot to enable wifi"
Fortress wants to know if anyone can look in the general off topic?
How are you going to find your wifi printer, without wifi turned on? π
Internet Connection Sharing getting partially enabled with on-computer AP in WiFi Direct Mode.
You are completely missing the point.
Wifi on vs ICS on.
Using computers WLAN card to create AP, instead of using the WLAN card to connect to AP.
And the computer acting as NAT router to that created AP, using whatever is the current Internet connection.
Think Mobile Hotspot functionality on your phone.
Same thing.
I am pretty sure it's by design
it's not
wifi direct is as the name implies for direct connection
not for arbitrary network sharing
Yeah, but why would the device be connecting to the COMPUTER, not computer connecting to the device.
When the computer is searching for a device.
You click on "find printers"* ...
Even the "WiFi Direct" printers I can find are just printers with inbuilt AP for printing, where your computer connects to the printer.
printer company doing the usual thousands backdoor shit as always
tbh I never trusted wifi direct
this sounds like a bullshit protocol
it never worked for me never only established direct connect
This is standard Win11 functionality.
Where when going to Settings, Bluetooth & Devices, Printers & Scanners,
And clicking "Add device", it creates extra network adapter with internet connection sharing enabled, for WLAN AP, but it isn't fully active.
Place the printer near the Wi-Fi router.
Open the Setup, Network, or Wireless settings menu, and then select Wireless Setup Wizard.
Select the name of your network, and then enter the password to complete the connection.
And that isn't what I'm talking about.
That is normal network setup to use network printer.
I though you said you clicked "Find Printer".
that is not wifi direct
And that causes Windows to do all the normal network device finding thingies by probing the local network to certain ports.
But ALSO does that insane ICS partial enable.
Before and after
With Windows wanting to set up DHCP server for that new network (not get IP, act as IP source) etc.
isn't that just security?
At least that extra adapter went away on reboot...
Didn't go away by waiting, only by intentionally enabling ICS and disabling it again.
"Mobile hotspot" in Windows 11 Settings.
Doesn't need GPU at all.
But wrong place.
#dedicated-servers
The offtopics are for anything NOT Satisfactory.
New keeb who dis?
brrrbs make fps faasterz
it looks insanely bright
it is
but I can turn it down
the old one is at its max brightness and fwiw it's too dim at times (Omron Gamma Zulu)
i was gonna say like itsent it bright to the point where its probably gonna lose a lot of color accuracy from wear or is it just ussing light colors
Rgb π€’
Now to see what kind of crap gets installed when I actually add the network printer&scanner via that button.
I installed satisfactory and it says corrupted download
i tried clearing download cache
repairing steam library
still the same outcome
other games download just fine
Ok, got installed as WSD printer and not raw network one.
Same driver version as manual install would have been.
OK Jeff geerling
could you try downloading the game on another drive?
It's Keychron V6, I trust them to make a good quality keyboard
Does someone also have this problem where everything in the game is not as sharp as before the update (i mean the UI)
Wrong place.
But are you using Windows display scaling other than 100%?
yes i do its on 250
Or might be because the game now uses upscaling by default.
And you need to disable that.
Ok, so probably both.
Scaling π
ok thanks
Moment, I need to find the instructions.
UE by default has wrong bit about if it is high-DPI aware or not.
And needs manual compatibility mode setting to override that.
oh yes its way better thank you again ( to your understanding with the scaling i play in 4k)
And then there is the ingame Video Options upscaling, set the Upscaling Method to None.
oh you mean dlss in my case?
Yes.
Not really needed in this game and causes blurry belts etc.
ok, now it looks perfect thanks!
This game is going to end up CPU limited for most probably, and yeah it does make belts look terrible.
It's probably fun to turn on when you're exploring? I would probably only bother if it avoided some hitches during combat.
I think my next keyboard might just be without RGB.
Yeah, I just noticed, I don't look at my keys while typing or gaming π
so, why bother to have them light up. It gives a pretty effect though, until they die and show the wrong color.
*that moment when Amazon package tracking is better than your local post lol
I seriously don't understand how my local post doesn't show the package has left the city postal office but Amazon does
Confirmed. Today I received one of the packages and I could see on Amazon when the package has left the city post office but I couldn't see that on local post website
When Amazon has better tracking updates than the local post, you know the post is really incompetent
one actual tracks, the other guesses?
Or, the employees at your local post neglect their tasks to do what is neccesary to update the tracking.
or the system sucks. It's the same case here.
The local post only posts more important tracking updates I guess
And Amazon posts updates every single time your package barcode is scanned
We get: "at sorting center" - "on the way" - "delivered" π
Yeah, maybe the post doesn't scan it though and just get's the job done to be faster. My hunch what happens in my country.
Croatian post was ok before the pandemic but now it's embarassing how terrible they are
They even hire cheap labor from asia who don't speak even speak several croatian words or at least english. That's how desperate they are
And people wonder why their package ended up in the wrong street lol
Same house number but wrong street that is
Getting hired by the post here is easier than brushing your teeth. You don't even have to speak any language, you just apply for the job and you are hired lol
Basically, when the inflation started, croatian post refused to pay croatian workers more and everyone quit
And since no sane croatian wants to work for them anymore, now they only hire cheap labor from asia who does not have minimum qualifications for the job
The pandemic was a real challenge for package deliveries, those companies who were flexible and had their shit together thrived. The rest suffered.
They were ok during the pandemic but when the pandemic ended and inflation arrived, everything started to fall apart
Serves them right for refusing to pay workers more
What goes around, comes around
I'm still for a limit on how much you can own tbh
like set it to 1bil, everything above that goes to the gov for investing in the public
How does that work for privately-held companies?
Me two years ago:
Like, what would you do with SpaceX?
Wasn't MS going to integrate RGB control, or did that fall by the wayside?
7 was peak Windows. No built-in marketing or web connected everything.
The current product philosophy of Microsoft is incompatible with a good user experience.
Now that would be interesting instead of ads in the menu.
Or AI with security/privacy issues.
They dropped that feature for now after backlash from security companies.
What drives me nuts is all the times you see what you're looking for, for a fraction of a second when using the search function, then it immediately disappears in favor of irrelevant results.
Like MS doing so much backpedaling lately.
For now, Windows Recall lives in the Windows Insider Program, where itβll be tinkered with and tested for quite some time, most likely, before Microsoft dares try to launch it again. Whatever happens, when the feature hits release, Microsoft needs to make sure it gets things right this time around, and that means working on privacy and security as an absolute priority.
I feel like NPUs are going to be the same as the ray tracing in Turing cards. By the time it's actually useful, all the first generation everything won't be strong enough anyway.
Fully agree with this.
it's a distraction - purposefully implemented
Nah, it's a quote from the article you silly.
there's no way Microsoft can make screen capture into AI blackbox secure or privacy compliant
For compliance it will be off by default, but I'm very sure they will do their best to trick people into enabling it. Exactly the same as they try to push other windows features now.
Begrudgingly starting to move into my Pixel 7 Pro. The power button on my V60 broke.
Maybe EC will push back.
it basically is the same thing, both are stupid for the same reasons hardware wise too
Does anyone actually know someone going out to buy new laptops that cares about NPUs?
Feels like everyone who wanted generative AI is perfectly fine doing it cloud connected anyway. Local is nice, but it's not a selling point yet.
it relies on people not knowing actual hardware mechanism and actual software optimization lower level mechanism
Or they're just using their GPU locally, because they are running off wall power and give zero cares for power efficiency anyway.
let draw you what that is philosophically :
yellow is ultra mechanical dynamic sustantation unit
purple is fluid solid phonic transmitive physical net
blue is advanced mount point rotationary stabilizator

This makes a lot of sense.

got to do some real testing of my car's A/C today
and insulation too
didn't do too bad considering i've never had a car with a black interior before
the one thing i hope they do in the redesign is get rid of this stupid open area under the center console, and use that space as a duct for rear A/C
love the stock image
I put bottled waters down there. The entire middle is a mess though, the huge footprint of the PRND toggles should be turned into a steering wheel stalk IMO. If nothing else, it could have half the footprint.
i wonder if there was some kind of safety issue with giving it a stick, or if there's some weird rule that if it has a stick it needs to be a mechanical connection
i've gotten used to the shifter's weirdnesses tho, & i kinda like it
the backup camera is still by far my favorite "new thingy" on the car tho, the fish eye angle on it is INSANE
the one thing it really needed tho is a blind spot camera for right turns/merging, its blind spot is absolutely horrific
my mom's odyssey has one, & its blind spot isn't anywhere near as bad
i'd put water down there, but it actually gets so hot here that the plastic starts to leach into the water
Oof, damn
new cars have some of the dumbest interiors ....
that gap under the console really bugs me
my dad's CRV has ducting there to give the rear some direct A/C
It is in current Win11, but it is a new standard that manufacturers have to support.
Instead of MS supporting the manufacturer specific ones.
Corsair isn't a partner at this time (no suprises there).
Acer, Asus, HP, Logitech, Razer, Steelseries and Twinkly are, also MSI has couple of supported laptops out.
I can rely on Microsoft to include stupid standard limitations
and artificial complexity
so that they can keep getting away with retarded and/or shady schemes
like forcing some hardware behavior that end up making rgb products less compatible with anything else
or preventing multiple manager (i.e third party) from setting it up
Just new standardized USB HID descriptors.
In cooperation with USB standards organization it seems?
www.usb.org/sites/default/files/hut1_4.pdf
Added in there as the Part 26, Lighting and Illumination, 0x59.
IIRC link that now takes there didn't when I last looked few weeks ago?
IIRC back then it was just MS provided spec document, now it is part of the USB HID spec.
SpaceX has been contracted to destroy ISS.
what
ISS deorbiting has been pushed multiple times, should already have been destroyed.
Current time is about 2030, and SpaceX got the contract to do the deorbit burns.
The thing is way over the planned lifespan and breaking down.
The various "return to the moon" etc. program money (like Constellation, SLS, Artemis etc.) should have been used to design and build a replacement.
But that wouldn't have been media sexy, so instead currently NASA is hoping that someone miraculously makes a commercial space station they can rent space from.
And is giving tiny amounts of money to multiple companies to do studies about that.
Lot of flashy videos produced by the participants so far, but nothing public otherwise so far.
ngl this sounds like scam
this so easy to make investor pay for "nice ideas"
Also, one of the two selected Artemis suit manufacturers pulled out.
Collins Aerospace is not fulfilling their contract anymore, so only Axiom is continuing at this time.
it has been almost systematically inefficient kind of investment
I would say that only the Axiom plan for space station might materialize.
Because that was in works before the NASA money.
only development under an actual project can produce consistent "ideas"
everything else is brain fart or marketing bullshit industry
now real projects can still be "if it is a success then it's even better" projects
but they have to exist
I think I found a microbend in fiber....
On the other end It looks normal
Image quality is bad because I had to turn off the lights and flashlight
The best part about this video is that everything he says is actually correct (at least I think it is, he lost me a few times)
Seems I will not be using WSD for the printer.
Because the WSD implementation seems to be crashing in the printer constantly when Windows queries it too much.
Even with latest firmware from this year.
Or something, the WSD device disappears from Windows Device Manager, the printer is shown as being offline, and I need to restart the printer for it to work again for a moment.
I remember I had so many problems with WSD in the past. Stopped using it and assigned a static ip for a printer on my router
Yeah, lot of bad experiences on Internet, but tried to use it, as MS is trying to force everyone to it.
Never tried before.
And this is Xerox WorkCentre 6515DNI, which is large desktop enterprise network color-laser multifunction machine.

can't breath in the factory well maybe work harder and you can get out of here
no, i made serial numbers 15183 to 19681

aww dang it
damn, now we got

tech equivalent of back in my day we had to walk 8 miles uphill bothways
ofc not, you want to pay for the full tv don't you?
real
have you seen the LTT GPU factory tour vid?
yeah me too
nice to meet someone who actually gives a shit about pcs
not really though
they literally automated it
yeah? so
just install a shirt AC
what currency do you use?
getting bored, might sleep
ok
nice\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
yes
do you know about the game called hacknet?
oh
well hacknet is a hacking game based off unix
yes
Intel is fucking around with consumers now
they aren't talking about 14900ks they are talking about AMD snake oil
real
btw do the thermal grizzly kyrosheets actually work well?
real
but i would choose Nvidia cards if they cheaper and have atleast 12 GDDRAM
real
bored
yea
it's winter currently
do you watch Salem Techsperts?
funny af tech repair YT channel
oh
gotcha
kinda, yeah but a lot more people have androids
trust me, i know about it

btw the Oculus inventor is finally coming back from the NDA
i mean the DNC
oh
so wtf .... anyone else notice when you click on a user in Discord, you NO LONGER get the join dates shown on their profiles ?!
the fuck was the point of that change
false
Need more clicks for full profile now....
lammmmeeeee
how am i gonna quickly see if i can find anyone with an older join date than me π
how: with dedication
FUCK THAT, i want an EASY TO USE UX ... is it so hard to ask for good UX these days ?! π
they even took the quick blurb off the popup ...
the point of the popup was to show all the important bits... but all the important bits have been taken off now ... only thing left is what i already know and see! ... god, i betcha some idiot gen-z beanbag fodder made this change
Time to get back the access to my firewall computer.
When the thing only allows access via IPMI on separate VLAN, or from one IP specific LAN IP with SSH key.
And that second got fucked up when I got the new computer into use.
would be coolio to filter by mac as well
Need to see if the firewall rule "simple" format supports using both address and MAC at same time...
Nope, only one per rule.
Ok, could do thing where everything but the one is blocked, and then the other is accepted after.
And it worked.
Was still able to connect after the changes with the LAN network port, but not with the other port with manual IP assignment.
So now I should change it so that I need to plug the WAN to the LAN to be able to connect...
I mean
if not adress drop
if mac accept
? or accept later else drop
So now the traffic has to come from right firewall network port, that is for the internal LAN, and has to be with right MAC, and right IP, and then only one username is allowed, and only with key, not password.
If source MAC is something else than THIS, DROP and stop processing.
If source address is THIS, ACCEPT and stop processing.
So if the MAC wasn't that one specific one, then the IP address is never checked.
If MAC matched, but ADDRESS didn't, then the traffic gets dropped later.
And remember that MAC rules only work in same network.
Ah, yeah, other way around was how I added it, as I already had the accept this IP rule, so added the inverted mac DROP rule above it.
Now to fight with my firewall & antivirus software to install Cheat Engine.
As the installer contains crapware you need to deselect when installing.
this feels so 2000s
The non-crapware installer is only for Patreons.
So you either pay, or you fight.
But anyways, was much faster this time when I knew WTF is going on and had notifications on for the blocks.
i can not be the only one hating when windows enforce focus. especially when steam lancuehs it does it like 4 times. like WHY ARE YOU SO EGOISTICAL?!
I hate it too
like let me fucking do what I want to do instead of keep misclicking on poping windows
the "getting to foreground" or "getting to background" feature is actually an issue in itself
it just should not exist at all
there is no sane use case at all
I installed pop! linux. Steam was a trivial install. Throw a switch in steam settings to enable Windows compatibility, and every single game I tried has worked
Mod manager, dunno
oh don't remind me
@glass panther what's AJV's custom keywords?
so there's standard json schema validation wotsits, but you can also do highly performant custom keywords with ajv by having it swap out the custom keywords for standard keywords at compile time.
goes and digs out examples from source code
I tried before I buyed, this one is good for me
we're not in 2012
There is a way to set it up for macros but I don't like using macro keys anyway
- https://github.com/satisfactory-dev/Docs.json.ts/blob/a2b705b39e66c90704ad58abe80cd10d6454790b/lib/CustomParsingTypes/TypedString.ts#L295
- https://github.com/satisfactory-dev/Docs.json.ts/blob/a2b705b39e66c90704ad58abe80cd10d6454790b/schema/update8.schema.json#L83
handles shit like this:
{
"mGasColor": "(B=0,G=0,R=0,A=0)"
}
then elsewhere in the schema file, you'll see the more complex stuff like this:
{
"mIngredients": "((ItemClass=/Script/Engine.BlueprintGeneratedClass'\"/Game/FactoryGame/Resource/Parts/Cement/Desc_Cement.Desc_Cement_C\"',Amount=2))",
}
keyboard shortcuts
so the custom keywords give me accurate validation checks on the Docs.json file, which'll be handy when updates happen π
my mouse has two side buttons and that's enough
ok gotcha
got a 502 but I don't care about the buttons.
what's the unreal engine string bit relevant to?
/Script/Engine.BlueprintGeneratedClass'\"/Game/FactoryGame/Resource/Parts/Cement/Desc_Cement.Desc_Cement_C\"'
finds other examples
ohhh and then you point ajv towards the format for that?
ok
uhhhh xbox ones
^ which saves me having to manually check all 56 matches for variants of that prefix π
looks like a python wrapper for it exists
yeah, that's the first link here: #off-topic-tech message
so I may have to do a little bit of yoinking of your schemas lol
Docs.json.py π
you saying I should make it?
I use it mostly for car games and stuff like that
important note: Docs.json is utf-16, may have to convert to utf-8 first (which Docs.json.ts does)
in GTA I'd keep switching between mkb and controller
if you wanna use python, sure π
took me a few months working on it full time to get it where it is now tho
I feel like part of the issue is I barely have a clue what is happening in yours lol
and also if I want to make a website out of this then js/ts is likely way better
are you wanting to learn how to parse Docs.json or just make a custom calculator?
both would be cool, but I mostly just want to make a custom calculator I guess
I made the guts of my own calculator separate from the ui for a reason π
Oh yeah I 100% planned to do the same anyways lol
MVC is especially hammered into me for python
if you're gonna start from scratch your biggest headache will be....
which is triggered in situations where you're doing things like producing reycled plastic from recycled rubber
hmm ok yeah good shout
py2wasm?
then you get to do it in python but still make web tool
maybe
I know python has web tools and stuff, and worst case scenario it just becomes a tkinter thing somehow (god forbid)
p.s. the other issue is this one: https://questions.satisfactorygame.com/post/65e5367dcd33105bd53f931f
Please add explicit license terms to CommunityResources
ok good to know
can't bundle Docs.json & derived files without possibly having a bit of a licensing issue
and the schema doesn't count as derived enough?
π€·ββοΈ
fairs
I feel more comfortable about bundling the schema than I do a full copy of Docs.json
yeah makes sense
the annoying thing is that even compressed the file is too big for github secrets
I mean I guess you could argue that if the schema causes a license issue then mods wouldn't exist
so...
lol, 6.67mb on disk for the generated files π
you could skip the json schema approach if you want to handle validation & parsing a different way
@fallen hearth am I misremembering that Docs.json is generated with python?
I have no idea how it's generated, CSS makes it for us
referring specifically to the embedded data strings, is that something from python or unreal engine?
Thunderstorm approaching, it's gonna get a lot better really soon
I highly expect it to be UE because going through python too seems like an extra step for questionable benefit
compare it with other examples of how UE serializes data to find out I guess
wonders where this weird recollection of python came from
lol
tl:dr; if the recollection was correct, presumably you'd have an easier time parsing the embedded data strings
quite possibly
tbf though the strings don't look tooooo painful though
but I've not looked at many
also if you wanna make ui stuff, you'll probably be wanting to use fmodel to get the texture set rather than downloading the icons from the wiki π
ascii nuclear pasta, when
lmao
Laptop fans at 100%
Cpu temp 94c
Hard drive 3.3TB used of 4TB and filling
This is fine
Ok so for general steps:
- get docs.json
- parse docs.json into various classes
- parse any pure string fields into actual data
- do something with the data
- get docs.json
- convert to utf-8 if necessary
- parse docs.json
- do something with the data
Ok lemme be more accurate lol
editorconfig syntax:
[data/Docs.json]
charset = utf-16le
Do you know if anything specifically breaks when converting it to utf-8
rephrase: if your json parser doesn't support utf-16le, you gonna have a bad time
the js JSON.parse won't play nice with it
Python may play nice with it because python doesnβt take any bs because python is the king of bs
Fuck php
stackaoverflow suggests conversion may be necessary: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/57360840/loading-json-file-and-decoding-in-utf-16
@mortal pike oh another thing to be aware of when parsing Docs.json;
have fun discovering all the typos π
oh no
ehehehehehe
you fuckin... no. Why.
you be sitting there writing a validator then find an exception cos something is/isn't pluralised in one particular context, or is spelled differently/wrong
I'm coding I only smile as I'm writing it
@mortal pike oh yeah, additional thing; some of the deprecated recipes & items are still in Docs.json, but they're flagged under a particular unlock. (I forget which one, you'll know it when you see it)
gotcha
No, Python takes all the BS, that's what makes it nice (and horrible)
who likes stupid tech ideas getting roasted? check out Adam something YT channel.
partially reason why i don't believe Musk when it comes to future
roasted cybertrucks and hyperloop
shows that investments can be pretty dumb
python mentioned. what's the deal?
i'm scared that sometone mentioned py2.7
thinking of making a system to work with docs.json to make a custom recipe viewer
so you work with py3 and std module json is throwing some error when reading valid json?
in case you didn't heard - there' a couple of json libraries, like ujson, that should work faster than std implementation, and maybe even better/worse in some cases
and if you need to work with data, i would recommend taking a look at pydantic, as it features dataclasses with validation defined in declarative style with possibilities to parse json (it understands nesting), copy (with update), have immutable objects
idk i always have fun with cats
can it handle the bs with the string format
nothing so satisfying as seeing it jump off cliff because it missed me on jetpack
is this before or after parsin it correctly?
that's straight from the raw file
so its view from some other editor?
yeah I prefer how json looks in vscode but I prefer to do python in pycharm
aka that \" is actually shielded as \\\" ?but you want to parse it further?
then i'm not sure what is your concern here
it's basically a string of another format within the json
(well actually highlights aer there so it parsed by editor)
and like yeah I can probably handle it but I'm also sitting here like omg this might be a lot
as long as it was properly serialised, which i believe it was because highlights are not freasking out, it must be fine even in std json module
wait lemme get a better pic
it shouldn't, as long as sanitization was done correctly when that JSON ot created
just open up console in PyCharm, read that file there into variable and discover how it was parsed using "watchers"
and don't freak out when you see a bucnh of \\\\
well, i have seen sun, which a time machine of sorts
but have i experienced it? no
oh that i seen
btw, when doing shit with time, always remember that if you are not attached by gravity to lets say Earth, you will get shwanced into somewhere in space, most probably ending up nowhere
but that means that you still experience gravity, which must do wonders to you when you compress time like that
i like that CSS actually put model into game a meme that's not easy to discover and it is no less shitty than IRL
I actually bought and made one of those in one my saves expecting it to actually function
I uh... yeah not impressed
I'm really curious how they rebalanced tickets
it functions, just is slow
well I could barely get mine to move lol
perfect for transfering nuclear waste
did you try it in UE5?
I think it was fairly recent but maybe not
it is become waaaay worse (together with factory carts) after they switched engine
I don't think I started playing until update 5 or 6, but I don't remember if I bought it 6 or 7...
i hope they will fix traction bug
if it was liek REALLLY slow than probably after ue5
factory carts feel like on ice when not on metal/concrete
I'll put it like this: the square wheels felt accurate
try the track on foundation
hehe, square and glancy
wait does the material matter? Will it behave different to asphalt vs default?
Which is why I suggested using the codegen solution I've been using π
with new phys engine - yes
and its very noticable on factory carts, how they transition from ground/grass to concrete
UTF-16 and UTF-8 are just different encodings for Unicode.
Both can encode all Unicode code points.
So converting between them properly doesn't break anything.
Difference is that UTF-8 works on 8-bit increments with multiple bytes when needed, with 1-4 bytes used. Also the single-byte version is compatible with 7-bit ASCII.
UTF-16 works on 16-bit increments, with 2 or 4 bytes used.
Windows natively uses UTF-16, (LE means little-endian subversion, specifies byte-order).
UTF-8 "won" the Internet etc.
But UTF-16 is used behind the scenes a lot, like by Windows, Java etc.
Simple comparison, included the Byte-Order-Mark (BOM) for both:
The decoded text is with 8-bit Windows ANSI ASCII decoding.
And once you go outside the 7-bit ASCII zone, just dropping the extra NULLs will not work anymore.
And possibly not even before that, not sure how closely the UTF-16 follows the 7-bit ASCII.
Why not?
I hate when people tell me things like "Don't buy from Amazon, support your local business!"
And the local business is this:
There is simply no justification for almost a β¬300 difference
jesus
we got stuff like alternate and mindfactory which are usually close or even cheaper than amazon
Even if we take VAT difference between Germany (19%) and Croatia (25%), it's only like β¬20
Businesses here are like: "But....but...croatian products are cheaper in Germany than in Croatia because it's a huge market and you need to attract attention with lower price"
"But....but...croatian market is small and transportation costs are high, therefore higher prices"
"But....but... serbia and other neighbouring countries have smaller wages and thereforce prices are lower"
Wish they had Cyberpunk edition
ewwww
Since Amazon added Croatia to the list of countries with free shipping, both me and parents stopped buying tech and other goods here
We only buy food here and some construction material
you can always strap some led to it
@mortal pike in the process of pushing an update to Docs.json.ts that bundles the types (but not the data), as the types are derived from the schema which is already bundled (but the data is derived from Docs.json)
should make it easiser to poke around the embedded data strings π
Who here is good with linux? (Specifically, dealing with NFS sharing)
My NFS server has been working fine for like, forever. But now it has magically stopped working. I have more info to provide if someone is willing to help
I hate adobe software
Nvm reconfiguring NFS with the exact same settings and restarting the service fixed it
Why must Linux hate me
It has been closing for several minutes and it's still just sittin gthere hogging 15 gigs of memory for no reason
i mean who doesn't
other than people that have to much money to throw away
its capable but like the the cost to results is generally nto that great
but i guess its targeted at buissness use
It's also targeted at individuals that need it's capabilities and are willing to pay for it - like me
itsent it like 150$ a year PER app tho
Yes and no
well they vary but the main ones are like 120 ish
like photoshop is 130 if i remember corectly
They don't sell individual access to a lot of their stuff
they do
but it seems like the creative cloud option is the only one even remotely worth it
I'm a paying subscriber man
I'm literally looking at it right now
every company:
Fractal Baby North
Will not be sold sadly. But someone already made printable.
Also, the reviewer got rekt. Because of the 3 heatsinks installed vertical.
So, the airflow doesn't go between the fins.
it was so hot in the morning so i disconnected power station from grid, so it lost its charge (cause i also used it and forgottent o connect back) so it now sits at 0% and is overheated and doesn't charge nor kick the fans to cool down. also it will get hotter.
What airflow?
Almost certainly no fans, and in that case that is correct orientation and the one at top is wrong.
its looking weird regardless
also, am i the only one to install heatsinks on bakcplate of gpu to help vram?
You would first often need to remove the backplate and install thermal pads to connect the back of the PCB (or the back memory modules) to the backplate.
With back RAM, only less than 50% of GPU models actually have pads for them.
And without back RAM, there almost certainly isn't pads.
Boeing buying Spirit back in all-stock deal.
Airbus getting the Spirit units making stuff for Airbus for $1 price, and getting $559M in cash from Boeing/Spirit to take those factories/units.
edition.cnn.com/2024/07/01/investing/boeing-spirit-aerosystems/index.html
So Boeing spun Spirit out in fit of MBA think.
In part to break unions.
And then squeezed more and more each year in contract negotiations, and now wonders why Spirit went to shit.
perhaps i was lucky to have memory with themral pads
os there any legal thing that should allow employees to form unions in medium-large companies?
i only heard threats that i shouldn't disclose my salary or suggest leaving company to my collegues, "or there will be consequences"
Point was that when the factories were part of Boeing, they were already unionized.
And by spinning them out, the workforce would have needed to unionize again.
Because the union laws in US have been gimped and are very weird when looking from EU perspective.
Depends lot by country in EU and Europe too.
No idea about Ukraine.
π
Current right-wing coalition in Finland is trying to remove union powers.
Ventilator = Fans
snelheid = speed
Ok, then.
Europe info is nice alwys , because it gives power to shove all of the management's bs about working hard to be in europe when they realise they are the bigger part of why we are not there yet (even if they sell product there)
not in this pic you can't
You didn't link the review.
Only one pic and then the printables site.
It's a dutch review.
mmm, noctua
It's so cute π I though maybe @edgy hazel would be interested in it. Since they have a 3D printer.
sure capitalism dislikes unions
So from the one provided pic, three of the heatsinks were right and one was wrong.
When with fans it would be the other way around.
That's what I said?
Look at this pic. You see an opening on top?
i dont
So how would that airflow even work π
So there is only one option, horizontal airflow.
Doesn't matter if there isn't active fans.
Then why place 1 heatsink properly. And the other 3 different.
It makes no sense regardless π
The air would flow bottom to top inside the thing, and get minor amounts of new air from both sides at bottom and exhaust from both sides at top.
you can always attempt re-sticking these heatsinks
ironically, low exploitation environments are usually more productive and profitable than high exploitation
The reviewer got rekt for it in the comments. As it should. Since they review the heat too.
try telling that to upper management
i think its a curve where low exploition works less with poor-er employes, but is reversed with higher pay grade
*and education
79C Noctua + Heatsinks (kinda placed wrongly) π
80C with casefans
It's funny, a whole review with data for such a tiny case π
i worked in company that has IT, embedded, factory workers and its own R&D
it sells security devices... and is terrible at its own security, so i kinda believe that factory workers where stealing stuff, which lead to more strict conditions and prejudice, actual segregation
Since they have multiple PI's. They can just buy another one and attach em properly.
Also many such Pi heatsink kits contains common chip heatsinks in sizes that aren't for orienting same way once attached...
Because the kit makers just buy the cheapest ones with "right" size, not caring about orientation.
does chemistry count as tech?
but it should be bought by tdp...
I'd count it as applied physics
we don't have deidcated channel for that
also i am applied physicist (almost...), but i can't say i studied chemistry
Read the channel description
"talk about nerd stuff like science [...]"
This one looks better (pi 4)
except for that one time we studied spins
if you worry about heatsinks, they should be cheap enough to just order whichever ones you like
They used PI 5 though.
did i share a link to video about heat DIY capacitors?
And leaves the ethernet chip non-cooled.
Which seems to heat up a lot on Pi 4:s.
If actually used.
and i doubt such a small heatsink would be anough for cpu
Yeha, but I mean the direction of the fins.
Ok, just to fingers, "just" little over 50C.
i'm thinking where to store them. aka how bad would be simple plastic bottle. since i am lazy to go for plastic bags
wtf is "active" "no blower"?
no fan
so what is active about it?
Yeah, Pi 4 already prefers active cooling, Pi 5 needs it.
And this is with the case added:
wouldn't that be passive cooling?
Well, it is that specific heatsink + fan combo, but with the fan disconnected.
The Active Cooler is a single-piece anodized aluminium heatsink with an integrated blower.
I then ran the same test with managed active cooling using the new Active Cooler, and then with the Active Cooler still fitted but with the blowerβs fan disconnected. Both these tests were done with the Raspberry Pi sitting in the open air on the lab bench.
aka just "heatsink"
today i somehow print "s" at the end fo words without needing, thinking or realizing it
Reviewer just calls the whole unit active cooler.
like Baldur pointed out
Trying to determine how large heatsink fits on Raspberry Pi 4 CPU...
Because the official mechanical drawings don't specify the sizes of the components, only their centerpoints compared to certain stadia points.
And not even those for all the chips.
The USB ports top out at 13.6mm above the CPU top surface.
or you could dimensions of existing heatsinks marketed for that board that lookβ’οΈ fitting
So about 15x15mm for the CPU substrate.
With about 37x32mm space when going in all directions away from the memory chip until something higher than the CPU comes along.
Possibly few mm. more if the power supply diode is lower than the CPU, but it is close.
They do smaller than the CPU mostly.
As the contact patch is only 10x10mm.
pixel-measuring?..
One set for example provides 14.4x14.0mm heatsink for the CPU.
Just general pics like this.
All the sinks are just the chip size +- little.
And the point is to get CPU sink that almost hits the top header, the left connector and the black diode next to the USB-C connector.
Repost of the pic:
Those Micro-HDMIs are 3.0mm high when the CPU is 2.4mm high.
But yes, kind of pixel counting.
Take a screenshot of thing with measurements.
Put it into Word.
Make a line that is multiple of that measurement (or 1:1 in this case).
Then rescale the image so that the line is same length as the specific thing in the image.
Then just make more lines and check their length.
Weird that the package size of the Broadcom CPU isn't public data...
So about 32mm wide, 38mm high, 13,6mm tall possible staying inside the USB port height for the CPU.
And the case with airflow gap should allow for 3mm more than that at least, even if there isn't any inset after the gap ends to the inner roof.
Case not needed lol
if that's an option than i also agree
did you put a pi in a full sized tower case?
Rackmount
So seems I need to use:
Two Fischer ICK SMD A 17 heatsinks for the RAM chip (6.3mm wide, 17mm long, 4.8mm high each) (as the ICK SMD K, 13.5mm wide, 15.24mm high, isn't available at small numbers).
Two Fischer ICK SMD F 8 heatsinks for the USB and LAN (8.0mm wide, 8.0mm long, 6mm high).
And then SK448, SK581 or SK691 in 37.5mm long version for the CPU, haven't checked the availability and prices yet.
Or maybe the ICK SMD F 17 for the RAM... 8mm wide, 6mm high.
Common size on the kits for that is 10x14xlow
Ok, so SK 400 37.5 (33.0x37.5x10mm) for the CPU, 2x SMD F 26 for the RAM (8.0x10.0x6.0mm) (one or two used, have to see), and 2x SMD F 10 (8.0x10.0x6.0mm) for the USB and LAN.
For total of about 16e for the parts.
for those this pertains too ..... kind of important to get patched up, like, today... insight.scmagazineuk.com/openssh-vulnerability-could-affect-14-million
So many issues
There's another MoveIT hack
another ??? π€¦
Fortunately only affects you if you have GSSAPI authentication enabled for OpenSSH in suitable version ranges.
isn't it already patched ?
Regression.
Patched in 4.4p1, and thjen reintruduced in 8.5p1.
And only noticed now officially.
And fixed again today.
but I mean the regression a newer version dropped ?
9.8p1 came out today with the reintruduced fix.
So OpenSSH 8.5p1 to 9.7p1 are vulnerable.
So if you haven't updated today, you have vulnerable version.
Of course the program needs restart to start the new version, and not keep running the old one.
But again, I just checked that I don't have the vulnerable part enabled, as I don't have fixed version available yet.
apparently the connection would lock if not restarting
the sshd have a forking socket behavior
Ok, there was, the Debian site changelog hadn't updated yet.
so an older machine still stuck on 6.6.1p1 should be safe (from THAT vuln)
probably but there have been others
Depends if the specific distro is still getting backported security fixes or not.
Ok, Raspberry Pi 4 8GB costs about 120e in Finland...
And 85e from Farnell where I was looking to get those heatsink parts.
70e vs. 50e for 2GB one.
not too shabby
Including taxes that aren't in Farnells prices.
But do I want the 4GB or the 8GB variant...
62.8e vs 84.2e.
And even the 2GB variant would probably be enough for what I have planned.
I'm waiting the poe+ hat and pcie switch compatibility updates for the pi5
Going for Pi 4, not the new Pi 5.
Will probably go into if it brings the total over 100e from below or not...
Need to find suitable double-sided thermal tape for the sinks...
I was planning on making a custom case for nvme+2.5gbe hat
there are still tricks to implement
- case + heatsink + hat
- 12V powerline problem
- pcie switch problem
- nvme easy access
but the pcie switch one is critical
Ah, only needed 75e before taxes for free delivery, saving 15e.
So got the heatsinks, double-sided thermal tape in 0,15mm thick variant as the 0,10mm thick one was out of stock (0.8W/mK), case, power supply, Pi 4 4GB.
Something else needed except SD-card or like later?
And i do need couple of capacitors etc...
sounds a fun project
The separate components are not related to the Pi.
oh lol
I want to change the timing range of my cars intermittent wipers.
Need to change one resistors and one caps values.
hay back when i was growing up we had radio shack and bought bread boards and put 'computers' together lol
nice to own an old enough car where one can still tweak like this
Phew, found the documents with the calculations for the needed values.
Default range is 3-13 seconds between wipes, and the planned values should give 3-36 seconds.
Dropping resistor from 13k to 4,3k, and upping capacitance from 220uF to 660uF.
oof
my medical records have already been leaked to the world in the previous 3 big medical breaches this decade ... so i've given up caring at this point what information people have on me =p
Yeah. You can be the best cybersecurity expert in the world but the moment you give some other organization your data, you no longer have control how that data is managed
lockbit 3.0 lets go
And I can even get the new power switch I have wanted for my bed light.
It as stock only has brightness adjustment pot with off notch at the minimum end.
I have wanted for years to add real power switch to side of it, but haven't been able to get suitable white two pole on-off switch.
Why? When the point is to turn that specific light off when I'm in the bed and going to sleep, and turn it on when I wake?
There is another switch that toggles the power to extension it is on once out of bed.
I mean waking up with lights slowly turning on is unbeatable
It does that anyways.
Which makes tuning the brightness when waking a pain.
Because there is so much lag early on.
Marquardt 1858.1105 it is then.
15x21mm bezel, 13x19mm hole, and 22mm deep.
Two independent contacts so can switch both AC wires.
until you get a rave after a few glasses of wine π
The Clapper & Snapperβ’ does both!
Ah, certain type of coaxial cable for automotive use, for backup camera installation.
Teflon outer jacket IIRC.
Ok, not available at Farnell for reasonable price for small amounts, cheaper to get it from inside Finland, even if I have to pay for the shipping.
75 ohm RG-179 with FEP insulation, good for down to -90C for static use and -55C for flexible, and in this case it would need to go from trunk lid to main body, so flexing during winter.
Standard wire insulations are only good for down to -30C in non-moving.
That FEP version costs over 3 times what the PE base version costs in Finland.
But anyways, should end up with something like this for heatsink coverage, with all the sinks being fill length fin type with bottom to top fin direction, with 10mm high CPU heatsink and 6mm high for the rest:
And fuck... Farnell will not sell to me direct...
So need to ask how much it would cost via the local component shop.
Previously that has been almost the same as direct price would have been IIRC.
WTF are you doing in here for that shit?
you sure this wont get messed up by height of components unter biggest sink?
Yes, checked sideways pics to make sure that the other stuff is lower than the CPU.
And that that specific diode is the first thing that is probably too high.
Those two resistors next to the memory chip might be a problem.
And the heatsink on the LAN chip needs to be higher up because of the bottom right corner big resistor that is high.
But for the RAM chip, I can make cuts into the sink and insulate.
And seems that with the Pi 4 Rev 1.5, the one big thingie is gone and many smaller parts have replaced it.
With 1.5 having been in production since 2022.
@mortal pike pushed that npm package update so it's now slightly easier to use in a separate project
at this point i feel like youtube is trying to destroy itself
shoving random community posts among the normal home page just making it even more clutered π€£
like bro what are these changes
and what the hell has the recommendation algorithm been doing it recomends so much trash
More trash than usual?
Trying to push random popular media ruins pretty much all recommendation algorithms for me.
more and more especially in the last like 4 or so years especially
and now comunity posts whit no relevence sprinkled all over
ENGAGE! ENGAGE! ENGAGE!
someones probably allready working on a plugin to send them to the shadow realm
i dont know how anyone would aprove this kind of change
if they really want to push comunity posts that much put a row at the top or somehting you can disable in the settings but not this shit
Are they still trying to push shorts too?
