i did with noip
But if you forward the A record (instead of the NS record as a whole), you're limiting them to just that one host. ;P
i dont know what does that mean i'm still planning to start a networking school in a few months c:
And I lament the fact that people have no clue about networking. *sigh*
Read up on how DNS works. It's not complicated.
Damn, now I feel bad. :/
I don't want to feel bad about asking people to learn about this stuff. LEARN!
yea
Don't be sorry. Go read up on stuff. Understand the basics, so you can make informed decisions.
im learning o.o
Like, not handing the control over the entire domain (which you're paying for) to some DDNS service.
Well, if you're using one of theirs, then that's fine (and, more to the point, not under your control).
I'm using my own, personally.
i just wanted someone to reach my satisfactory server from external network, but
my external ip address is dynamic
Yeah, mine too. I know your pain.
sooo i decided to redirect my router to a ddns service instead of using the ip
thats the story
And yes, they still have *.sytes.net :D
Is it possible to install a dedicated server (some way) and play the game with only 1 game license?
you can install unlimited game servers with zero licenses
but each client needs one to connect and play
so in short, yes.
Thanks!
Giant Rebar Gun?
Happens on death sometimes. Not sure what triggers it, I've never seen it happen myself - though a friend had it happen to her on our server.
Hello, I have a question: until now we were on a hosting server at schokbyte, but since it is not possible to access the servers at the moment, how do I transfer the backup?
If it starts a plain Single player, the .sav file is there, but if it is hosted, what should be searched for it to be good for single player?
