Now I just found out that when I import my Gmail in to Mac mail, the app renames the "All Inbox" (gmail side) to "Archive". So in the end, my mails weren't even archived. Or sets up the installer created normal account to use "sudo" command to be able to upgrade to root.

You seem to have used the second option without active separate "root" account.
So you use "sudo" command to run commands at root level.

or for example "sudo su" or "sudo bash" etc. to get root level console access.

or just "sudo whatever" to run the whatever command at root level.

Currently the whole lot is in a water loop - but happy to drop the GPU out of the loop if needs be.

Yep, resources exist for PSUs, SSDs and so forth. But PC communities have become more refined and usually zero in on specific good and bad products rather than brands as a whole.

Especially now that we know a lot of brands all use the same underlying components and OEMs..

One thing to be aware of is that lower tier motherboards, PSUs and so forth are way, way better than the lower tier ones of the era you built your PC in. Minimum quality is generally way higher now.
