The best way to avoid pump issues is to just build close enough to the extraction point that you don't need pumps in the first place. The second-best way to avoid pump issues is just use pumps where needed.

There's a few things that people might mean when they say "water tower," but whichever one you mean, you don't need one. Just use a pump if you need the water to get higher. Pumps are practically free, and work great

oh, i definitely had that problem at one point until i found the right third-party linux util to order the nvidia driver to use the real gpu... but no changes have occured on that side, and it's only while a video is playing. if the video is paused, SF runs at the usual 60fps (whereas the igpu would struggle to get 10 even if SF was the only app running)

Well, with the "pipe" method I was doing. When I was doing the beam method for the tendrils, it didn't seem that bad.

The pipe method made things much quicker and, imo, look a hell of a lot more "fluid". But I think because of all the other things that go with pipes (length, filll level, flow rate, etc) It was just way too much "overhead" of things to calculate, even though they weren't doing anything.

Grrrr, no matter how long i make my belt, even adding more machines to my automation line, my iron miner cant spit out ore fast enough, it always has at least 60 units in it, it never drops below 60 units lol.

Posted my probably terrible set up in screen shots. My resources belts run atop one another, iron on level 1 copper on level 2 coal on level 3 and concrete on level 4, when i need levels 2-4 to come down to ground level i use a conveyer lift and a splitter to pull them down from the main lines.

Mind you, im just about to finish my last 2 tier 4 mile stones so im still very early

hello, im kinda new and i was wondering, ive got a miner working 60 ore per min, i have it set up fairly efficiently making screws, rods, and plates. im looking to automate reinforced plates but im noticing while im over producing screws, im underproducing plates. is there a way i can fit in the assembler to produce reinforced plates on the same production line or should i just make a new production line

Nope, everything is tier 3 lol, maybe my understanding is wrong, my miner puts out 240 units per min, its a pure iron node. The smelters all along my line require more then 240 iron ore per min so my brain produces logic that there shouldnt be 100 units of ore in my miner waiting to be released....

It's under the PowerSlug tree. But, Imo, you "could" start a new production line, remaking all the things RIP's need if you want. Of you could just adjust the production rate of plates and go into reinforced plates.

or just wait for the system to fill storage and backup

My reinforce plates is its own seperate branch of my main line. It has smelters constructers and an assembler JUST for that item. The iron plates produdced on the branch go JUST for producing reinforced plates and nothing else, so nothing else is taking the iron plates to be used else where, i can show you you if oyu like.

Or, you could turn some slugs into power shards and over clock to get the 30. But, given how early and your power options, underclocking would be the best route.
