you get WAY more power out of fuel gens so go with those
each one gives you 250mw compared to a coal generators 75

so ig you'd have to make that much more coke than fuel to even them out, and you'd need to make water extractors so it would use more power

and 1 fuel gen makes a lot more power than 1 coal gen
Try to press H, it holds the hologram in place, then you can nudge it with page up and page down. I believe if you hold control while nudging, it reduces the nudge distance. Hopefully that fixes it. Otherwise, build a floor to align them, then dismantle it

i googled and found this; Fixed it by changing the direction of the train station connected to the freight station and also took the tracks off and connected them again. Worked for me

also, i tend to only sink super comps, they have the best payout VS cost
well maybe not the best, but its pretty easy to get a ton of em, and they turn out alot of coupons quickly
An awesome sink takes up way less space than a reactor, so i was wanting to do that instead of taking up unnecessary space with a bunch of reactors. :P

They are one connected grid through the tracks. You can use a train station to power your factories in fact.

#screenshots message --- okay I made a water/fuel tower (albeit an unconventional looking one) so I didn't need to use a ton of pumps as it travelled across my world but only some of them are filling -- do I just have to wait for all the pipes to become saturated and it takes a while?

They kill the wasps instantly, so you effectively disable the hatchers until you kill them all. Or, you make a smoke bubble for yourself and shoot out for it.

Right, sftools doesn't have nuclear "recipes" in there 'cause they aren't technically recipes (and thus don't show up in the game data exports which sftools uses for its base)
To compute Plutonium Fuel Rods or Ficsonium Fuel Rods, you've gotta head to the "Inputs" tab and manually specify how much waste you're making, then it'll be able to give you the PFR or FFR production chains
There is definitely enough SAM for 100 ficsonium/min
(And yes, arguably a solver could hardcode them as custom "recipes" but there's various considerations to take with that, and greeny doesn't want to spend time hacking new stuff like that into the existing sftools. Maybe in a hypothetical future Next Version of sftools. :)

The main problem with using sftools for "big" nuclear-power stuff like that is that you sort of have to do each step separately, so for instance Ficsonium production doesn't generally take into account how much resources you're using to make Plutonium (and Uranium, etc)
Like if that 95/min FFR production exhausts resources that you'd need to do the UFR/PFR steps, then it's not really feasible as a whole build
I suppose you could create some nasty graphs by adding in all three rod targets + specify the related wastes as inputs
Though you wouldn't be able to take advantage of "maximize" when doing such shenanigans
or just not burn the plutonium rods

Depends on your needs. There's no fixed 'best' ratio
i know but im not sure if i need a lot of rocket fuel for drones
since the rocket fuel will probably only power 10 drones max
If you know how many drones you have and their distance you can calculate how much rocket fuel you need. Probably easier to just overproduce and make the drones then measure how much they are actually using then scale it back if you need more of the other stuff
also its smart to split a pure node into 2 seperate pipes since its hard to maintain 600 flow rate over a long distance right?

as I understand it, because the path sees the exit block signal for the desired path is saying no, so it also says no, but if you put another block signal in that says yes as the exit to the path signal, it'll fix the problem
btw you can also use all block signals here cause there's no way 2 trains can be on the same block but having different paths
I am currently trying to build a big train network but my test junction seems to have an issue. The train system has a total of 4 lanes, 2 for each direction and I thought that for a junction to work, you just have to place path signals at the entrances and block signals at the exits. This doesn't work as all path signals say "Signal loops into itself.".
How do I fix this issue?
Make #1038092680493801533 thread, include screenshot taken of the intersection and tiny bit of surroundings with signal out, so that the block colors show.
You have signals where there is same color on both sides of the signal, and those need to be fixed somehow.
There is current game bug, that sometimes signals placed exactly on the junction split will bug out and leak like that for example and bypass is to put the signal little before.

Is it possible to convert an existing blueprint to just a normal structure? I have a blueprint called 5x5 2m foundations which, as it says, is just a 5x5 2m foundations however it screws up my blueprint placement above them when i try to auto connect stuff so i was wondering if i could make them a "normal" structure
im not sure if its possible but you could probably replace the foundation file with the blueprint?

No i meant the reverse, convert the blueprint i have created that i placed out to just normal structures so it doesnt mess with my other blueprints in regards to auto connect
kind of an indirect way of resolving this, but you can install mods like infinite zoop which allows you to zoop foundations in 2d and remove the need for said blueprint
im just going to stop using it in the future and just doing it normally by zooping 10 at a time

I think you gain the ability to get an alternate recipe when two conditions are met
- you are able to make the default recipe
- you are able to make/obtain the resources for the alternate recipe

Hey - I seem to recall a mod in development thats looking to add factorio style guns and enemies. Does anyone remember or know what it’s called?
They should change the models on the ends of conveyor lifts so you can tell the difference between them. I've got a manufacturer with two Mk.1's, a Mk.2, and a Mk.6 and I can't tell which is which just looking at the ends of the lifts.

There's no downsides to just using mk6
Like I'm using Mk.6's for the uranium because I want that to be off the belts as quick as possible, but the rest doesn't need to go that fast.
mk.1 belt: has 3 small lights per segment
mk.2 belt: has 1 small light per segment
mk.3 belt: has 2 large lights per segment
mk.4 belt: has 1 large light per segment + higher guard rails
mk.5 belt: has 1 large light per segment, higher guard rails, and an extra rail on top
mk.6 belt: has 1 large light and 2 small lights per segment
not being able to tell the speed by sight is "consistent" ¬_¬

That's alright, the mk2 belt will feed the machine at 120/m instead of like 480 or higher from the main line. Filling the machine isn't a necessity
