Yeah, I don't know specifics. I'd say that because of the desync, you'd end up with a different amount of slots after all upgrades. Because the upgrades just "add". But apparently not. Despite the desync, you're apparently supposed to end up with the same amount regardless

you're going to need coal and suflur by your oil. Even if you tore down the turbo later (not sure why you would) it's still worth doing to me

so make 2 alumina and 1 scrap refineries and tie them together and feed in the amount of water that it needs minus the wastewater. At 250% it's exactly 600 fresh to feed it which is really nice

The power penalty is only 34%, so you can easily tank that as soon as you get coal. The only issue is the shards. You can automate them in tier 9, so at that point you can overclock absolutely everything freely, but you can do that earlier depending how many shards you have
without sloops its a min of 480 copper per pasta
Well on the plus side with the game development winding down, mods probably aren't going to break as much in the future

water towers don't do anything that a pump doesn't do.
They just do it all at once which can be useful

Blueprints let you nearly double how long of belts/pipes you can put down per click too.
When you have a few hundred hours in the game, watching anyone play Satisfactory can be infuriating. Even experienced players definitely do things I wouldn't do

On my modular frame factory, I have a smart splitter at the end, set to center as any and the right as any (I need those to fill up, THEN send the extra modular frames to the overflow side. but it's ONLY sending to the overflow side.
It's not sending to the others first, and it's really weird.

I know that you can process nuclear waste, but no one mentioned in any of the videos that you don't get it from the doggos any more. I put in the belts and storage containers to have access to get rid of any nuclear waste they "found" before I died from the radiation.

At any rate, the main thing, to me, is that the doggos seem content to stay, don't seem to fall through the floor, don't seem to try to climb the walls to try to get out.
And, now it looks a bit nicer, with the roof.

Right now all I'm running on (fairly early in this playthrough) is a few geothermal power plants and some power storage, with 9 biofuel burners for backup. I'm in the process of designing a coal power plant that stacks 3 coal power plants on top of each other. Unfortunately, it can't be built in any of the blueprint designers, the plants are too tall, so I just made a blueprint of the floor layout with markers to show where the corners of the coal power plants go.

Right now I'm using the two bio burners on the HUB to power manufacture of solid biofuel for the 9 bio burners, but they are not providing power, don't need it with the geothermal plus 6 power storage. In the mentime, I have a place staked out to build a coal power plant, that's why I was trying to design one that stacked the power plants, to make it more compact. Hm, I just thought of something. I need to check if there's a waterfall nearby.

As for the tickets, I've bought all the building recipes in the Awesome Shop (did the Somerslooped animal parts -> animal protien -> DNA -> The Awesome Sink thing). All that's left to get are the trophies on the first page. I don't think wasting tickets on parts or resources is a good idea. That just leaves more boomboxes to get.
Though, I do want to get the doggo statue to put in my doggo kennel.
some people complain about how tall refineries are but I like to build around their smoke stacks or starstep up them. I think they're interesting
I'm sure there are creative ways to build around taller structures. I built a floor that has holes in it for the tops of my miners at my starting base.
Some people, I guess, are vertically challenged when it comes to building.

Be warned if you find a bug where the signal says "signal loops back on itself" and the track color doesn't change before/after the signal -- that's a bug. You have to move the signal back from the merge/split a little
I noticed that the containers and industrial containers no longer make legs. I don't know how I made the original ones I built end up off the floor, but they made legs. Now with vertical nudging, no legs are made, I have to figure out how to make my own.

That is literally the worst signal error I have ever gotten and has caused I can't count how much frustration at this point
there's another bug where it forgets that a split is a split -- or that a 3 way split isn't a 2 way split. that one is way more insidious
you have to get in an engine and manually toggle the direction to see if it gives you left/right/straight or just left/right
and the game logic says the station is reachable... yet the train can't get to it
I'm going to give train signals some much deserved banelings just thinking about some of this

got a quick train questions for y'all. if a freight platform is set to unload, will a car that stops at it always unload, even if there's nothing in the timetable for that specific train?
I think it still has some bugs that need to be fixed, for example copying extractors, those for the resource wells, that causes the game to crash
I remember trying to place the extractor on foundation and it worked, but then I tried giving it power because I wanted to see what would happen, game didn't like it, followed by the crash

guys when yall are building mani folds for screws or something else that is getting producest in mass do you use 2 conveyor lines in the middle or only 1?
don't put screws on belts, put iron ingots. Then make the screws right where they will be used
Ideally I use alts to remove screws
if you get cast screws alt recipe it gets even easier. or look for something like the plate alt that takes wire instead -- and put ingots on the belt and make wire right where you need it
