sent used to be shield rush and spend all your mana or use lunge and suffer
my issue with shield rush has always been its mana cost if you dont wanna ping pong back
to be fair the buffs lunge could give were quite nice, they were pretty heavily nerfed iirc when they added javelin as another option
Well, i'm only to 100 corruptions currently but I haven't had any mana issues with it so far.
Lunge just needs to be to a targeted location without a special unique and it'd be a fantastic movement skill.
That would just make it as bland & generic as the other movement skills (Transplant, Teleport, Shift, Fury Leap). IMO.

Everyone has a bland way to move about except paladin then. That seems like a lacking for paladin not a strike against making lunge more user-friendly.
imo every class should have a generic get-out-of-poop button and paladin's is lacking.

Unfortunately that character is pretty full on stuff. Volatile and Shield are damage, Lunge for movement, forget the name of the aura thing but that basically keeps me alive really, and then sigils for survival in monos
you guys got any tips for finding special reward nodes in monos like "unique/set ____" ? I can never seem to find them with consistency

Go to empowered monos and get higher corruption. Pretty sure corruption influenced the echo rewards yeah?
Corruption influences rarity and drop rates, but I don't believe it influences the actual node selection. Empowered does increase the spawn rate of unique nodes but that's it afaik.

but i do know you won't ever lose your characters. They've stated that numerous times.
the characters made in 0.9 for online mode will go to the "standard" of the game, they will never become offline characters.
Offline characters(what we have now) will never be wiped, and never be able to go online.
Meaning if you plan to play with friends, any characters you make pre 0.9 will never be able to do that.
They aren't going to do any wipes or "resets".
Though obviously if you want to play MP you'll be starting from scratch in 0.9.0.
I knew there were no wipes, but I didn't know if they'd make everyone get new characters.
In hindsight, with MP, of course that means new 'online' characters
so you could argue from some vantage that it's a 'reset.'
It doesn't matter to me though. I'm mostly a solo player.
So I'll re-roll MP characters just to have my online stuff and use my offline stuff to test.

so i was doing a lightless arbor dungeons and thought it would be a good idea to spend a lot of gold and duplicate alot of items (it wasnt) and now because there was so many items the item names are off my screen so i cant click on the name to pick the items up but the items are still on the floor

🤷♂️ I have used them maybe a dozen times ... not more... and only actually on really good high FP exalts when 1) I noticed a really good Tier roll and 2) had decent FP left after maxing out most affixes already... I would probably use them more if the roll % per tier was more visible when crafting and if they had a similar impact on saving FP like a hope does...

Balanced - no idea really... There are 6 or 7 meta builds but honestly, virtually any build can complete all the content - assuming someone is not trying to make something silly... its only when you want to push end-game and t4 content that balance may be debateable....

Order is still nice to hedge your bets on and you can afford the FP costs, it’s just that it’s a relatively bland glyph that is rarely used outside of perhaps exalted bases
but the glyph is still next to useless, so like

it fits really really nicely into the old gear stuff, when we didnt have legendaries, or 5 affix potential etc...
but now theres too much to keep going for, so its cost to use is too great for the effect it gives
cus its just relatively tiny in most cases
also (if it worked how you expected it to all the time) theres a lot of affixes where getting a lower roll is still an upgrade
and its often times better to just, roll everything
If there were a secondary effect like an increased chance of a critical success appended to it, that could be interesting
(and seeing how you can just try and get a free upgrade, and then roll everything)

Wandering Spirits has Reveal Rate bonus, what does it mean? Just that those 13 spitits will be revealed faster than 6 seconds?
The reveal rate is how quickly the spirits are revealed, higher = more spirits more quickly
But overall number doesn't change? It will still be 13?

Hi, I'm new to the game. Does melee physical damage on weapon affects melee skills that scale from fire?
I couldnt find a weapon that has +fire melee dmg as its base stat
lastepochtools has it down as uncommon which means (imho) that its likely to take a little effort but shouldnt be too hard... Farming the amulet echo nodes (Age of Winter) is likely to be the best.... You could also use Runes of Ascendance...
Hover over the skill and see if it lists physical anywhere (provided you don't have it converted somehow)
Some axes and spears have implicit fire melee... and you can obviously add flat melee damage as an affix in crafting (or found already in loot) on applicable weapons...
so carrying a weapon like this is pointless then since the +43 melee physical damage is unused right?
Nope... its a rare and only drops from the Emperor of Corpses.. its gonna take more than a few kills to do it...

What skill are you referring to? Melee skills scale with the flat melee damage you're adding and the nodes in the skill tree, it doesn't really matter what tags the skill has. If you have a fire converted Warpath, but all the damage you add is cold, it will still only scale with cold.
@hollow pelican im refering to flame reave, and I was wondering if I should even pay attetion to the value of implicit since most of them give physical dmg bonus and the skill scales with fire melee
it scales with whatever base damage you add... flame reave does give you a small chunk of added fire
but generally what you get from weapon will be much higher.
The implicit will be important before you are getting to decently crafted swords
For example if you had a sword with base 45 physical damage, 300% increased fire damage means still only a bit over half your damage is fire, it would be 45 physical and 60 fire.
so ignoring that base physical for say a weak fast sword might end up being a lot less dps
You dont exactly need to focus on that physical portion or try and scale it, but using high level bases is pretty important while gearing up
Ideally you want a crystal sword for end game though, its basically the bis base for elemental attacks, but before that just get higher base type swords
And when crafting swords, try and craft flat fire, it will be by and far the best affix for scaling damage

15 base fire from flame reave with 300% increased is 15 x (1(baseline) + 3(300% increased is 3))
300% increased damage is actually 4x base damage
because 1 or 100% is baseline
50% increased damage for example isnt half damage, Base x 0.5, its base x 1.5
Always gotta account for that baseline value of 1. its something that throws people off sometimes haha.

@slender estuary Yeah no need for that, either a regular culnivar's or just a wand or sceptre would be fine, I think you'll probably get more damage out of an exalted crystal wand for sure. You do want -mana cost for throwing skills on both rings though, and I'd recommend getting instant cast time on Sigils to spend your mana rather than Culnivar's, as this makes buffing easier and keeps your Devotion powered.

You can make a loot filter straight from your build planner, or google Heavys loot filters

it's probably pretty late/early (depending on how you look at it) for them so it might take a good few hours for your ticket to get looked at
Fire aura could handle 100 corruption fine.... combined with something like flame reave/firebrand... should meet your requirements...
Depends - its weekend so the regular EHG guys are less active/around and obviously the timezones play a part... in my experience its a little slower than weekdays but you usually get a reply...
I highly recommend having a "show all exalt/set/unique" at the top of any filter that hides stuff
beams/ sound queues still work so i dont worry about it

So i knew of the special end-of-dungeon stuff for Soulfire and Temporal, but not Lightless
needless to say i spent way too much gold not knowing what i was doing
also this is like the 10th TIME THIS PLAYTHROUGH it decided to give me this sword

hows the endgame so far? there much to it? or too early
End-Game is basically Empowered Monoliths which you can run infinitely and scale difficulty infinitely... for Blessings and drop rewards and XP... Some might say that T4 difficulty dungeons are also end game but I'd say they are just something alternative to do as a break rather than end game... Monos can definitely be a grind, especially when aiming for specific blessings but generally its the usual fair of running them to get unique drops & exalted items from reward echos or farming specific bosses for choice loot... or to min/max your char.. There is a modicum of randomisation in Monoliths as the echos are all RNG and there are modifiers on each echo run that add "spicyness" to the difficulty... Besides each Timeline having a end-boss to defeat, there is Orobyss which is the mono boss with randomised skills/damage that you defeat to increase or decrease difficulty (and for very specific loot) and resetting the Monolith timelines.... I must have run thousands of monolith echos now across a dozen or so chars.... So there is plenty to do and yes it can get dull sometimes when the RNGods dont love you, but I have played worse...

my power and survival are in between regular and empowered echos, regular pose no threat even with 30+ corruption but empowered are tad too hard, what do?
Honestly, the jump is fairly high due to the 100 corruption that is added on top of lvl 100... I would recommend farming the lvl 90 monoliths for a little longer and try and improve whatever aspect of your build is lacking - i.e. tad too hard - are you getting killed, work on defence... are you struggling to kill, work on offense... Obviously trying and dying in lvl 100 is likely to be better because of increased xp and drop quality, but some people dont like dying while they are trying to fix things...
For the endgame definition of monolith, I prefer to compare it with GD. The 200-300 Corruption timeline is equivalent to 75/76 of GD imo, which is a decent drop yield and a suitable difficulty to match it.
Means that most builds can do it (maybe a higher level of corruption will filter out quite a few builds, not sure), and enjoy all the in-game rewards
how should i go back to farm blessings? i did it in an empowered monolith and Did the Gaze of Orobyss, is this the correct way?

You can just ignore loot you don't want to pick up or set up a filter to not even see it. You should be trying to craft as you go if possible (bit hard early on) because that's a big part of progressing smoothly in the game as a whole

Key points for filters, it works top to bottom. Rules are the top are priority for rules at the bottom so you always want a rule for unique/set/exalted items at the top and a rule to hide random normal/magic/rare items (without affixes you are looking for) at the bottom
Also the key is shift + F to open it, just in case

what's the highest value on legendary potential and how rare it is overall? I got some 1 and 2s so far?
Highest is 4 which would be all the affixes from an exalted item, but it's extremely rare. I've gotten like three drops that had 3 and that's among probably a few hundred (I stop picking up 1LP drops for uniques I don't bother with or ones I already have 1LP on)

Don't think it directly affects LP but by having more uniques drop you'll have more opportunity for LP. Not sure on the exalted part, to me it feels like it does but it might be placebo
Effective level for LP which is unique to each unique, and area level are all that effect it. By proxy like stated having more uniques drop means you will end up with more high lp items over time.
Playing through empowered monoliths, from what I could read the timelines have no impact on the exalted items node. Seems very hard for me to find wand/catalysts nodes. Belts and boots seems also very rare vs body armour helmets and jewellery. Is it just me?
If you want to improve your chances of specific types of items dropping, you can chose the appropriate blessings (left hand side of the monoliths) - I have found that this does help when looking for specific types of items... Some monoliths also have a higher chance of exclusive echo rewards based on type (see Tunks website), which i have found anecdotally (might be imagining it) seem to influence not only unique drops but exalted echo rewards too... and obviously, higher corruption does, imho help with more exalt drops in general... Farming for exalted items may also benefit from doing Temporal Sanctum dungeons - level rewards can sometimes dramatically improve exalted drops, but its usually RNG as to what is boosted (I think it changes on game restart - but never tested)...

By looking for nodes in the timeline to get exalted items is relatively inefficient, my advice is to go to the dungeon.
The dungeon will refresh a fixed affix every day, you can target farm according to the content of the affix what exalted items you want, for me it takes half an hour to clear the second floor of the T4 Temporal dungeon enemies, and then you can get about two backpacks of exalted items
Temporal/Lightless: helmets, relics, rings, amulets
Soulfire: various specific types of weapons, off-hand weapons, body armor, belts, boots, gloves
Do we already know how the LE Devs envision/plan the multiplayer elements of this game? I ask mainly because i came as a relative "newbie" (200 hours excluding the countless hours i spent off-game reading stuff up) from PoE and the trading system in this game is just an absolute monstrosity. Quitted it mainly for that reason as i don't have the time to use the small amount of gaming time i have (between work wife and sports) to trade around for small trades to eventually buy a piece of gear that i can't do myself because the crafting is too complex
Some form of trading may or may not be included in the 0.9 patch (next one with Multiplayer) but the devs have been very tight with info on trading as a whole - all we know that is that its not going to be linked to the real world (i.e. buying stuff with real world currency etc.) and if you read through the forum you will see the various options that have been discussed including dev input over the last few years... so its a "wait and see" for me right now...
Yeah i have seen a couple of discussion on it but no clear statement yet - probably because there is none yet then. But alright then it's waiting and hoping that it's not going the PoE direction. But so far at least from what i get from this game is that crafting is alot more accessible than in PoE so even when not being such a big fan of trading i could probably easily make it work through the crafting system (with just a little more effort)
Not sure if anyone has this information.. tunklab and lastepochtools have item rarity but not specifically for exalted variations or how this affects the rng when monolith echo islands are generated... Exalted items are basically just an item with a higher tier affix - so for example, getting body armour with a T6 very rare affix (like Level of Mana Strike) is likely to be MUCH harder to get than getting a body armour with a T6 Armor Affix. They are both still exalted items but the one is gonna be a much rarer drop.....
We know the goal is to not have trading be the primary process of advancement.
It's a big factor in why everything is realistically achievable solo. And with likely result in trade being very limited and not something you do a lot of to begin with

Yep exactly and especially since gameplay content gets developed with this lifecycle in mind it is way easier and even encourages to return to a new season and just try out new things even with new classes instead of just being stuck at some point on the "same old"

True and especially here (specifically for all the theorycrafters and min-maxers) it is very important to have a good + accessible crafting system in mind, and i think LE is already going in a good direction here
Yeah it's not like i don't like PoE - i mean it got me addicted pretty fast and i invested 200 hours in a very short amount of time on it.. But the problem is that as soon as you have a couple of real life responsibilities it is not really accessible anymore at some point due to the time investment involved

Could be screen tearing... try vsync or setting fps limit closer to the Hz of your screen (if you gpu can handle it)... You could also try toggling some of the special features like Antialiasing to see if it helps...

@sharp quartz it is not creen tearing and antiailising is on but seems to auto switch off and everything sharpens when i move

I think the problem of weapon type will be bigger... Because the Cyclone of War node in Warpath can get 10% base crit chance and 100% fire penetration by holding 1h sword + scepter
That's a huge benefit for Warpath spell trigger builds
Ok... the trick is to find a sweet spot that your GPU can handle... and with LEs generally unoptimised state maintaining 165fps would need serious hardware...

Can anybody tell me what this 'notch' is in my ward.
I was trying to figure out what kind of breaking point or whatever it may indicate.
Or is this just some sort of graphical glitch.
It seems to have some sort of relationship to my ward retention/per second.
When I first log in with the character it loads the mana full
then that notch appears at the very full point but than gradually nudges its way down
and then stays there.
Yeah, if you can manage to get an unethical amount of ward it's pretty much full of notches like that
It's basically just a indicator to show iirc 2k ward for each one
The bars are equal to the max health
So essentially the notch indicates you have 1,667 ward + 421

What are some good ways to get some mana on a Warpath build? Aside from mana reduction on Warpath nodes
each of the sentinel classes has a mana regen passive node. don't remember the name of each. @tulip gate
the reduction nodes and/or reduced channel cost affix are what people normally use as far as I know?
can also use reversal to get mana back if you're doing something to drain it quickly enough
you can use the -ele res node with res while channeling to offset the downside
mana on hit node in the passive can be used too
use rive/etc to regen back
yeah, almost every warpath build I know of tends to get ~10 total flat reduction from the warpath nodes

What do you need mana for while using warpath? usually you cant do anything else during it so you shouldnt be losing mana if you have 0 cost warpath

Yeah abyssal tempest is the only one you cant solve, but then you beg the question of what is it doing for you, and why dont you just reversal since their cooldowns line up. VR can be cast while spinning because it has no cast time
I guess what im saying is the best solution would be to play around VR because its op and solves your mana problems 😛
Mainly Winds of Justice for now. VR only resets 2 secs though, and Warriors Fury is not something I wanted to do, but it might have to be
Warrior's Fury will only make your mana problems worse & VR can put you back 4s
Im guessing you are trying to use lightning smite to get aoe so it has a cost
Plus you can use a wand/staff to reduce Smite's mana cost to 0
Unless you take the lightning storm then its got +5 cost
but if you dont you get one non aoe smite every 1 second and your build falls apart for clearing

no, only adaptive. you can for example take the new community spear with tons of base void damage and cast spirit plague and the majority of its damage will be void
Only if they have a node that specifies that it converts all base & added damage & there aren't many of those.
Same applies to DoTs, the skill would need a specific node or effect that converts Ailment 1 to Ailment 2 (Warpath has one that converts bleed/ignite to time rot).

farming implies you are getting a good door reward say "monsters drop more exalted relics" and then you just kill mobs to try and farm relics

that causes you to exit. and if you filled up before getting through the dungeon, either you didn't empty your inventory before going in, or your filter isn't strict enough

autobomber got a slight nerf with the change to devouring orbs but honestly it went from OP!!! to OP. so yes, it still works very well.... its a pretty good build to use while watching Netflix cause you barely have to concentrate if your use autocasting...

should be fine... you might notice a difference here or there (cant remember myself)... but it should work ok... you could also find LizardIRLs one - thats newer...

yip... lots of variations on the build tho so you can pick and chose from both to match whatever your character can do at the time ... e.g. if you are struggling with mana, then the wand version with -3 mana implicit could help... if you want you can also go a sceptre route.... and dont worry about the ravenous void gloves... they are very very rare but you only really need them for high corruption pushing...

At which corruption level (fast clean of the objective) do you consider the build to be good?
Its all subjective... and everyone has their own targets that they consider good.... personally, I use 300 corruption... although everything in the game can drop at lower corruption levels (slim chance, but they can), my experience is that around 300 is when you hit a sweet spot between everything dropping/good enough clear speed/bosses arent crazy/great quality loot. So thats what I personally use as a measure of a great build/char or not.... by this standard, I have probably 4 builds that qualify.... my minimum for a build is clearing empowered monoliths at level 100 corruption... if it cannot do that, then I usually respec and try something else...
Some people dont even use corruption as a measure.... they use the T4 dungeons instead... ie.. if a build can complete all the dungeons at t4 level then its good...

Every couple days now my game just randomly freezes on startup screen and i cant use my whole pc afterwards anymore. Only reinstalling thr whole game helped so far. Anyone else having similar issues?

Unfortunately no. i can reproduce this until i actually reinstalled it. I might need to look into crash reports or logs the game is producing but i was kind of hoping not to have to 😄
It sounds like it was likely due to a corrupted file.
crashes when alt-tabbing while loading maps is a sign of running the game at slightly too high settings for your hardware.... usually the solution is to 1) not alt-tab at those moments or 2) dial back the settings a little.... EDIT: or 3) make sure not to run too many apps in background that will use resources (especially the GPU)
No-one is too old... but yes, the dungeon bosses are pretty mechanical and can usually be dealt with if you know how to handle them (trial and error right now is a little tedious with the one try per dungeon)... @olive tinsel did some good videos of the monolith of fate bosses but I dont think anyone did the same for the dungeon bosses - you should be able to find a julra guide tho....

If you are using Steam you can do a game file verification - should be quicker than a reinstall and might be able to confirm if you do have messed up files.....

Do nodes in monolith have their mob type / density / objective changed every time you leave and go back? Never had to leave a node before until last night with insane density + ch9 mobs.
Dont hold me to it, but iirc they do change.. I think the map tends to stay the same but the mobs and objective changes.... and yes, you obviously lose the reward but you can "roll" a slightly easier echo when redoing them..

Is that Wings? It's 6% base, but affected by rarity modifiers so stack a lot of non-impactful echo mods like slow on hit before doing the boss.

There is ailments, Skills that are DoT baseline, hit skills you can convert to DoT or make DoT with a subskill.
Basically there is countless DoTs
The strongest would be poison ailment and perhaps skills which innately are DoT, like holy trail, judgement, spirit plague and Drain life.

Look at your numerator on your health globe and move the decimal point 2 positions to the left. 😄 But no. Nothing in the HUD.
Thanks. This isn't the first thing I found missing from the character sheet, so I can only assume that it's known that it needs more stuff on it in general.
It most likely wont ever be on the character sheet because its not a constant
its current hp so at 5% current health lost per second, if you have 500 max and are at 500, you lose 25 a second, but if you are at 10 hp you lose less then 1 per second
So having it bounce all around the character sheet isnt very helpful

it might, but only in some extremely niche situation where you are say level 100 and want to find the point where its gonna equal regen and what health point that leaves you at and you can fine tune for your natural hit point level. And would be more useful for like trying to make a hybrid endurance/ward low life build or something.
But for that player they can just do some quick math to figure it out themselves since clearly they are min maxing lol
the emperor of bones or whatever that skeleton dragon final boss is... in empower timelines below 50%ish hp, his AOE explosion attack comes out really fast. is that because i fought him with a modifier to gives frenzy to enemies below 50% or is there actually a mechanic that reduces the charge time of his AOE explosions when his health gets lower?

EHG has said they plan on having servers in various locations (no specifics/details yet) that players would obviously connect to based on location/speed to server... chosing multiplayer groups/teammates is explained a little in the MP dev blogs but the short of it is that you should be able to play with your friends...
a bunch of games are region locked; so for example, im in australia
- in valorant i cannot play with US/Europe at all
- in League of Legends i have to have a separate US account to play with US
- in some other games i have to create separate characters
and then there’s like… fortnite or minecraft or increasingly WoW, where i can play one character one account, with anyone all over the world, on any device
I kinda doubt the game will be region-locked as most region-locked games are done so because they're high-competition with minimal room for ping difference.

What's the fastest way to push corruption? Run Orobyss as soon as I find one or push echoes until a specific +corruption threshold?
push for orobyss node as far away from the starting point as possible.... higher +corruption and higher chance of nice Orobyss drops... ... note also that stacking monolith completions will also boost corruptions on the next orobyss... (cannot remember what its called in-game)
So basically push as far as possible in one direction until I dead end at a Shade. Makes sense. Thanks Vapour.
Gaze of Orobyss is what the Bonus Corruption Mechanic is called
If you hit a dead end but there are still some other ways going sideways it might be worth checking for those as well, sometimes these lead to ever deeper branches.
It's very subjective but try to get a feeling what +corruption feels worth for you.
I personally always try to at least get +16 or +17 corruption.
Sometimes you are very unlucky and get a lot of dead ends already and only discovered +14 or lower.

and every time you kill the monolith boss you will get bonus corrpuption if you kill the shade without dying

Probably both, since if it's used as a singular it should be "your golem grants additional.." but if it's used as a plural then it should be "to nearby minions, including themselves."

Armor works with resistances not as a split feature.
For players you get your resistance and armor so do enemies. So if you hit an enemy with 50% fire resistance and 25% effective reduction for fire damage from armor they would take Damage x 0.5 x 0.75, they would basically only take 37.5% of the damage. So even if an enemy has resistance that you have ignored, armor shred is still valuable, just like armor is still valuable to a player who has all capped res
Basically armor never interacts with resistance at all, all you have to worry about is that armor is 70% effective to all non physical damage.

yeah you are really going to want to prioritize getting those resists up unless you're okay with getting one shot a lot

Just found an unique item Shroud of Obscurity and it says is Acolyte body armour but it's stats are very-likely-dodge-based so the question - can rogue still use that item ?

I think its actually almost good now that LP exists
its easier to get LP on it them exsang and if you can get some good dodge stuff on it through LP you get less ward then exsang but open up potentially building dodge.
its certainly off the beaten path, but if you get one with 3-4 LP it might just be really cool.
it requires only 13 level and provides 100+ flat dodge that is a huge burst on early-game and for me even the implicit with mana is really good for a Bladedancer

block works on all damage that hits, same with armor

attack speed modifiers on weapons are global, not local more multipliers like in PoE
The speed listed for the base type. So wands are 0.98 which means you get 2% less speed
for attack speed

There are not many sources of dot damage in the game, most of them are not mandatory for you to fight head-on, such as dot ground / some enemies to a range of continuous spitting dot / debuffs on the player to apply dot damage, conscious movement to avoid and prepare for the means to clean debuffs is basically enough to deal with
But anyway, if there is very convenient to get the dot defense, the icing on the cake is always good
Oh, this reminds me of when 0.8.3 A9 brought a new group of enemies to the timeline. There was a poisoned melee assassin type enemy, back when their shift interval was very short and their attack speed was fast, which led to them sticking to you constantly to poison you as long as you didn't kill them quickly.
That experience is very bad, because they will shift to you constantly, any of your evasive action is meaningless, and cleaning debuffs are useless too, they will continue to refresh the poison on you.

Death Seal's reduction to your hp isn't damage so wouldn't trigger that effect. Nor are the various health drain/decay effects that the Acolyte has access to.

T4 the rest is a joke, did this with my own (inspired by others) lich build. That idol granting 400% increased armor helped a lot 💪
Yeah as soon as you reach the point were a lot of the mechanics do not 1-shot you anymore you can deliberately facetank a lot of mechanics. That is usually the "easiest" way to deal with her.
But you could do her without every getting damaged by anything except the void puddles, they will tick at least once, usually twice when you leave them.
But they are not lethal at all.
should i get increased skill shard drops or class specific drops? and what's the difference?
skill shards are thing like +1 to skill, class specific are those and stuff like inc shield throw crit chance, chance to get crimson shroud on melee hit
there are class specific shards that are not skill specific
all these economy blessings, especially the shards ones are not super impactful, because it only affect the direct shard drop rate, not how often they appear on loot.
Shattering/Rune Of Removal is the most reliable way to get these rare shards anyway.

Honestly, solo feels awful. The lack of shards makes leveling an absolute chore and honestly is kinda making me dread cycles now that I've experienced that lack of shards again.
It is so interesting to hear different opinions about something like that.
Because what you just mentioned is the sole reason why I like solo.
Having scarce resources makes it so much more fun, because you always need to strategies when and how to use your limited resources.
Especially early/midgame crafting is so much more interesting.
At some point you will have always the resource to basically craft anything with the exception of maybe Glyphs Of Despair, depending on how often you use them.
Why have resources when they don't matter anyway at some point?
So, this is where I say. I don't particularly care for early to mid game crafting, mainly because it's just getting the basics to work, not actually anything interesting.
I like the resources of 2-3 characters worth of shards because I stil don't have all the class shards I want, I still have rarer affixes I need to chase, but I can make my basic generic stats covered and chase actual upgrades still.
But even the more basic affix shards are still a resource and there are a lot of slots that don't even have class specific or super rare shards.
But still crafting T20 items is not entirely trivial.
And when you really dislike cycles, there is always the option of playing standard
The big thing for me is cycles will have the new content lol

We don't know the details yet, maybe they do add features and mechanics to standard as well.
Fair, but I fully expect standard to be delayed on receiving those mechanics similarly to how poe does. Because it doesn't make sense for them to roll them into standard if they decide they don't want to keep them for good
Then play standard delayed by whatever intervals the cycles release.
But yeah we have to see how much of the added stuff will stick to the base game, because the devs don't want to overload the game with mechanics

If I wanna farm a boss unique, I know I should do it with affixes and higher corruption. Would I farm corruption until maxxed stability, then go kill boss, then continue farming corruption, and repeat?
Well, you get bonus points "Gaze of Orobyss" by completing the monolith timelines BEFORE fighting Orobyss... This means that you can increase the corruption you get - sometimes dramatically (if you find edge of the map Orobyss nodes) and make it easy to increase corruption faster..... So its sort of a bit of both

LightLess arbor... you can use gold to boost the chest drops... and you can use millions at a time.. for loot explosions.

It's a little weird to quantify some of them because it's based on their reroll chance
When the game decides to drop a unique for you, it rolls for a specific unique, then it rolls again (the reroll chance), the higher the reroll chance, the less likely it is to drop.

That might be the case but they are a random drop and not empowered only^^
so there are exalted shield reward echoes in the monolith of fate, but for gloves you will have to go to the Soulfire bastion for a reliable source of exalted gloves
Each boss Hass different loot tables which are independent from. Each other. There is always a 50/50 guaranteed drop that is not affected by anything.
And then every boss has at least one uncommon item that can drop on normal, but %Inc. Rarity does affect the drop chance.
Then there is a rare item which is empowered only and is also affected by %Inc. Rarity.
And some bosses have even more items by now(or Formosus at least)
But deliberately having low %Inc. Item rarity does not give you higher chances for the lower rarity items, because each loot table rools independantly
You could get all items from a boss at once (except the 50/50 guaranteed drop)
