the spells are only spells and the melee is only melee
so the spells get no benefit from melee modifiers
they're two different parts of the skill

Yeah, I've pushed quite far into corruption levels and have at times picked up more offensive modifiers than I could handle

The difference is that increased rarity generally gives more uniques, sets and exalted items. The blessing itself specifically targets uniques

So, can someone tell me it is worth buy game now if i want new exp after other ARPG?
Imo LE is definitely worth the price. I played PoE a lot and was looking for some alternative (Besides any Diablo game) and while LE is a lot simpler (which is understandable because it's a much younger game) it does have it's charm. The crafting system is great and the player has a lot of control over the items but you can only craft to a certain tier so you can't make a OP item from a white item like in PoE for example. If you want to go further beyond you need to find a drop-only tier of the affix that interests you which are significantly stronger than the max tier of craftable affixes. This makes loot more exciting and pretty much creates your "personal chase items"
Do higher level monos yield rarer loot? Or could I just run like 58 monos and get a bunch of rare stuff too
I played Grim Dawn a lot, game catch me with flexible building opportunity+"sudoku" with devotion was pretty fun. So, will I get the same exciting building process in LE?
I didn't play Grim Dawn so I can't confirm nor deny if you'll get a similar experience but currently i'd say that making a build is a very fun process and respeccing in case you'll change your mind is pretty easy so I think you won't be let down in this regard

They give higher level bases which leads to better crafting opportunities. It's not a direct rarity upgrade but the items you get will have stronger implicits. Also higher level monos tend to have more difficult modifiers which leads to bigger rarity increases. In short: You don't get "rarer" loot but you do get stronger loot
Oh one more question. If the legendary I want requires a specific level, do I have to do the monos around that level? Or does it just require my character being that level?
I don't have a concrete answer for that but following the logic of higher level monos = higher level bases i'd guess that if a unique requires certain level it wouldn't drop in monos that are lower level than the requirement

You can’t get negative regen as far as I know, but there are effects called drain and decay on acolyte that with degen your HP and can be counteracted with regen, leech, etc.

So this means that you can't negate the penalties at higher levels? So if I have 75% resistance at level 30, I still have it at max level, but the enemies will penetrate it harder and there's nothing I can do about that? (and if I had 0, they would pen into the negative I'm guessing?)
Just trying to grasp how res capping is intended
basically, if you have them at 75% and are in a level 30 zone, then you'd be taking 45% less damage. but by the time you hit zones with 75, you'll be taking 0% less damage.
if you had less than 75%, you'd take the difference as more damage, so 65% res is 10% more damage taken of that type.
This is contrasted by other games (like poe) where the it's balanced around you taking 75res , and being at 73 res is 8% more damage
Being at 65 Res in poe would be 40% less, so this is just a more forgiving version of resistances.

Yes Overcapping helps against the shred that some mobs have. It does not help against the level based pen all mobs have
But it's also treated as lvl 100 (which would be the max lvl for chance to get LP).
Are there any good endgame shaman builds focusing like on spells/melee spells. It seems like it is very hard to make shaman build without trying to spam maelstrom/thorn totems or nearly becoming druid. Right side of shaman passives feel so useless for some reason ;/
Dont think so... I have an old shaman build gathering dust cause I gave up trying to make it work well over a year ago.. I seem to recall some Earthquake build that worked a while ago but I also recall it suffering from changes... The build guide list doesnt show anything recent and all the older 0.8.4 are totem/spriggan type builds...
anyone else got a fix for last epoch not launching off of steam? its not something im willing to put much effort into so im posting here lol
You are likely gonna have to put some effort in explaining what the problem is tho - there could be plenty of reasons.... Verifying game files through steam usually fixes most problems, as does lowering general quality settings. If not, you can try and run the exe directly from the install folder or you could try and install the standalone (non-steam version) which is downloadable from the link in your EHG account page. If the issue is unrelated to steam, like performance or driver problem/windows issue etc then none of those suggestions are likely to work.
i did try verifying and reinstalling, it doesnt seem to want to work off of steam for whatever reason
using the base client works perfectly fine so im just gonna stick with that

I recall a similar post on the forum - cant remember if it was you? Steam can sometimes get its knickers in a knot - especially with betas that have lots of patches over a fair amount of time... It may need a total removal from Steam - including manually removing appmanifest files & left over folders - i.e. getting it to a clean base - and then trying a reinstall... Honestly, if I were you and the standalone is fine, then I would use it until the next patch drops, then try via Steam again if you still wanted to play via Steam then.

Unironically if you wanna make shaman work play sentinel instead. It's been a long while since I've played the game so I can't remember what everything is called but there's a build that works the same as shamans maelstrom but it actually deals good damage while being much easier to use.
Shaman and druid have too much overlap currently imo.
Shamans thing was nature spells and attunement, but now that druid has a cold theme and nature spells as well as better attribute stacking mechanics I just dont get what shamans gimmick is supposed to be. But im pretty sure the devs are well aware of shamans lackluster build options its just a matter of time before it is modernized.
Shamans only current theme it really can deliver on is totems, but even that is done by injecting with druid by using spriggan, since thorn totems just become way better by simply going spriggan form... And thorn totems are the only viable totems for the most part.
shaman is still in line to be changed, while Druid has just been changed. Shaman's tre is like 2 years old at this point
yeah but its gonna be a hot minute I think since 0.9 is mostly gonna be MP/minor changes, so shaman fans just gotta wait 😔
I think the most exciting part should be how they change shaman since now that druid has such a heavy lean in on cold I think they can let shaman go heavy on lightning 😏

Sometimes does happen depending on resolution and where the mouse point is... usually resets or moves if you try alt again but it probably could use some better fixing - devs did say they are working on new tooltips - hope this includes how they are placed/made visible...

No, "final hit" means the hit at the end of the Lunge, not any damage dealt on the way.
They won't be deleted, they'll be transferred to a "standard" league.

Not sure you can just use a single skill... the best DPS for single target is usually a combination of skills irrespecitve of class... EDIT: clearing can usually be accomplished by a single skill fairly easily... but single nukes usually need more than one skill.

Order of Lagon can be a bit hard to see. Fissure has a 0.5 second cooldown, so should be cast under one of the three smites

You can talk to a Chronomancer to reset passive points at any point for a gold cost. You need at least 20 points invested into sentinel before you can invest into a mastery tree

What Vapour means is that the model is used after the campaign rather than that particular thing.

not 100% on what you mean, but by "Oil coating on hit" not scaling it means it will not scale to more than 100% application rate. It's stating that investing more points will simply not cause that part to increase, not more than one oil coating per skill use that hits. You can still stack multiple stacks of oil coating by landing multiple skill hits.
if it weren't to say that, you would expect with a second point invested to be granted two stacks of oil coating per skill use that hits

you can, put more points into it, the number goes up, then elemental vulnerability converts that number to elemental damage instead of fire damage. the "does not scale with points invested" is a header, it refers to stats below it

Guys i specced into avatar of the spire for my hammer throw for nova but it still rotates arround me
Avatar of the Spire doesn't disable orbiting, it just fires the hammers in a nova (ie, equidistantly spaced around your character) & they then follow whatever behaviour you've spec'd into (orbiting, flying straight, returning/not returning/etc).
Enra's Technique disables orbitting.

It's pretty tank but lacks a bit of punch.
I think it is fairly subjective. Some Masteries, such as Sorcerer, have a lot of easy access to crit chance and Crit multiplier sources such as passive skills or skill nodes themselves. BD/MM both have access to MM’s Wound Maker passive which is incredibly powerful albeit I imagine it will be looked at in some way in a cooperative environment.
I think all classes can have viable and good crit builds, some just have easier access to crit/crit multiplier investment wise than others.
Depends on how you apply them and what modifiers you have on those dots. The problem is that both Poison and Electrify(might be Shocked, lightning has 2 ailments) has innate resistance strip built into them. Poison removes 5% poison resistance per stack of poison on the target and Electrify removes 5% lightning resistance per stack. So those two tend to scale better than hit damage because putting a silly amount of stacks on the same target will make all of that type of damage deal much more damage.
Shock is the shred resistance ailment for lightning, but unlike poison, it caps out at 20 stacks for 100%
Also, rip the reign of flurry poison BD, she was truly Queen before the bug fixes, up there with pre-0.8.3 EQ Werebear
I'm still over 5 million sustained DPS on flurry BD. Shadow daggers + shurikens armour is also similarly high.
Shock is capped at 20 stacks though unlike Poison which is uncapped so Lightning is always going to play a distant second fiddle to Poison

No season yet, there is ladder but since the game is offline the ladder is messed up for now until 0.9 launches, There is arena that is more competitive endgame (has a ladder) then you have Monolith of fate endgame system (Kinda like maps, rifts) and has infinite scaling and then you have area level 100 dungeons
When forging, what determines the items rarity?
Asking another way, is it possible to fore a normal item and turn it into a magic or rare item? Or a magic item and forge it to a rare or unique item?
I'm still learning the forging system, but it seems like even with the buffs I add to it, nothing changes. Even if I add runes, they don't necessarily change the item rarity, at least in my case. Anyone experience similar? Is this by design?
Discovery rune should always make the item Rare, Item rarity in last epoch is 0 affixes = white item, 1-2 affixes = blue item, 3-4 affixes rare and any item with exalted affix is going to be violet. Rune of ascendance can turn items into uniques

If you use the timeless sanctum key, you can at the end of that dungeon combine that unique with an exalted item (purple) to add a number of stats equal to the legendary potential. (so LP 2 = 2 stats)
From the exalted item you smash with it

no. unique and exalted items have to be the same type.

neck, shield, and belt are a bit mediocre imo
unless you have decent legendary for the belt I'd just prefer something with double hp rolls
and a neck on a better base

that is the point :)
Those items are balanced around those being unique to them, being able to double it up would break their balance more than a standard affix would
they'd have to weaken either the affix till it's worthless, or nerf the unique itself to make up for that.
Also, you step on the toes of the unique's purpose in the first place by taking one of their core affixes and throwing it into the normal affix pool

if you manage to dodge it the poison pool instantly starts and i believe its the whole arena
You move out of the big aoe and once it explodes just move back to the inner area
it's necrotic damage
you need like...20-25% movement speed to get out with just walking
starting with my sword rubbing against his head and trying to vault to the other end is a very not nice situation to be in im finding.
really depends on your movement speed more than anything
a lot of builds can get 50%+ and be completely fine no matter where they're at
or can have movement skills on top of their walking speed

I'm finding Shield Rush to be very satisfying.
My current forge guard I forwent Lunge for Shield Rush just to get a field with it and levelled from start to now reached 75.
I have a paranoia but that won't be an option until i hit 85 and at this point, I'm not sure I'll change anyway.

Honestly, EoC is relatively easy to kill compared to other bosses... The only challenge is getting around his AoE which just requires practise and timing... you dont even need movement skills or massive move speed... Its slightly harder without them and takes a little longer to kill him because you have to stop dps earlier to have enough time to walk away, but of the bosses there are much harder ones imho.... It used to be easier but you can even tank him if you are lucky enough to have min/maxed defences by the time you face him or use things like Rebuke.
Pro Tipp: Giving him Frenzy below half Health is a bad idea 😉

Have you tried Heavys filters on the forum... they are a good start.... otherwise if you want VERY specific filters you can download appropriate filters from Dammits build planner - just load up a build you aspire to, and download the filter using the icon on the left...
just be warned about the build planner filter - they can be very specific, so you may need to loosen them up a little to prevent missing out on something that may still be useful.

If the game is consistently crashing when trying to enter a specific zone, it's a fairly good indicator of a file issue. Try re-verifying the game through steam. The particular waypoint you're highlighting here is not immediately as you enter the zone, you have to progress a short ways into the zone.
What it looks like happened here, is you beat the previous boss, leading to this zone, however didn't pick up the waypoint for one reason or another. So you would need to go back through the previous waypoint, kill the boss again to progress to this area, then keep going to get the waypoint.

It can be limited so long as you can trade the unique dagger that just dropped for your sentinel to your rogue buddy you’re playing with
its hard because some people say thats all they want, but once the flood gates of some trading are open there will be push for more. And it remains to be seen how the game will shake up and if we are gonna go full market simulator or if the devs will leave drops as they are and be able to stick to restricted trading

Yeah, Julra's AoE isn't really supposed to be tanked. You can with a super high defense build but you're supposed to warp.

LizardIRL, Boardman21, Perry the pig... and plenty more names of good builds - a lot of them are on a break from making builds right now because its been a while since there was new content to work from... but there are plenty that are great.... I seldom find a build that has a planner that is "pretty bad" it all depends on if its a beginner buid, levelling build or one min/max'd meta ones... If you are a little more specific, maybe we can filter out the "pretty bad" for you.

They probably look unoptimised because min/maxed gear is not currently needed to enjoy a build because the majority of the power of builds currently resides in the skills - barring specific gear interactions obviously... So you can run builds without needing perfect gear... they might just not get as far if pushing corruption etc..
Its the skill trees ive seen that are a bit pepega
on the other hand, beware of builds that come from an editing of the save file and which are almost impossible to create by the farm

Metas... there are many very good builds (maybe 6 or 7 metas for seriously high level pushing of corruption etc) but it depends on class... Rogue Poison umbral blades, VK Devouring Orbs, Forgue Guard Manifest Armor, Necro Reapers/Abomination minion builds all come to mind...

Well, it depends on the interactions required with other skills and there are utility/secondary skills that dont really matter what nodes you take beyond a few core build required nodes - e.g. the first 15 points could be mandatory for a build but the last 5 you can do what you like to make up for other issues in your setup. There are also instances where (especially on outlining nodes at the edge of skills), that you are forced to get preceeding nodes that provide no benefit... the outlining nodes in these cases however are usually very powerful or build enabling - hence the fact that points have to be sacrificed to enable them... EDIT: there are also skill interactions that might seem not worth it - like getting bleed nodes with a fire dps build - only to realise that a specific item of gear does a conversion to make it all work together....

Yeah, conversion mechanics in this game can seem very jank from the outside if not paying close attention to what is happening.

They're randomly spawned, they're more likely to spawn them at higher corruption & (I think) further out from the centre.

yeah, rogue also gets 100% crit super easy even without being low life dude to crit vulnerability
you basically don't need to build any crit chance since crit vuln can carry you to really good and often times 100% crit entirely by itself

244 chance will apply 2 stacks with 44% chance to apply a third
that is actually a pretty decent weapon to try something cool with, you can level up the *Flat * crit to t3 or t4 and try sealing it. You could potentially get a 3 prefix weapon that is really exciting and the 2 suffixes are useful (not necesarrily bis) the high frailty chance is good for slow hitting builds.
That less bonus damage from crits saves ~3 suffixes though, or a monumental amount of grinding for the CSA blessing...
And 65% isn't too bad since it's not an all or nothing affix like CSA.

if you're farming for uniques with lp, it's much easier to farm them in a timeline that you reset with memory/chaos nodes to stack up unique nodes
what are memory/ chaos nodes
they're two types of nodes within monoliths. chaos nodes reroll all uncompleted nodes to a new reward type
memory nodes uncomplete all completed nodes
so you can get their rewards again
never found those before, is there different rewards deeper in timelines

As a new player who is doing monoliths (lvl 62) Im using a Hammerdin, when should I transition into a different build? SSeems hammerdins are mainly used for leveling
Not sure what your hammerdin means, does it mean Hammer Throw proc Smite? That's a powerful build that can endgame and not just level up
yeah, base hammers just get converted to smite proc hammer builds when you get the stuff for them going.
There is no transition. You can play till endgame with those skills.

if you've been to the end of time place that has the training dummy you can slap that real quick
you can go hammerthrow / smite procc but you absolutly dont HAVE to do it to get an full viable build. Hammerthrow does a ton of damage on its own in the right build

hint, try and farm Orobyss nodes that have high +corruption figures... over 12 worked for me - the ones way out at the edges of a monolith tree... but just wait till you want the axe with LP.... the most soul destroying grind to get back to orobyss nodes and then not gettting axes each time... but hey... i did eventually get a 3LP one.. 🤪

Melee necrotic damage won't affect rip blood at all. You'd want adaptive damage so scepter, wand, staff base type so as long as its one of those base types then its fine

I am guessing the person is using Beast king or Eulogy of blood? If you are using necrotic rip blood then spell dmg / cast speed if you use it for ward generation

Rune of Shaping will reroll Implicit properties. Rune of Refinement rerolls affixes within their ranges.
It requires a minimum area level of 67, so yes but not in the first few monos.

Regular shows all base types with the affixes and strict only shows bases that you chose in the planner
So if you chose Crusader gloves for example then you won't see leather gloves (unless unique)

It just fills in empty suffixes on the gear with resists on the filter

it does not exactly fill the suffixes, it simply adds resistances to the potential suffix options I believe
So if you say wanted a rings with CSA/Endurance you see rings with CSA/Res show up
So it makes it so you see tons of extra stuff that isnt even close to what you want
with the res box ticked you will see an item drop with two t5 res suffix and it will show up as orange cause its 2 mods with sum greater then 8, which is normally a really good drop, but really its just kinda random ass drop.
I basically never tick that box

yes, pushing past the objective is risk vs reward
you can get more bonus stability, but you risk dying and losing reward

Hey, question about the gameplay. Coming from d3, I really enjoyed the playstyle of rat runs, basically running around at 5k miles/hr and constantly deleting the entire screen. From what ive seen, the multiplayer aspect of last epoch is still in testing, but do the gameplay mechanics allow for such super fast paced styles, or do the runs generally have a slower pace?
Especially for efficient end game farming, and not just running through low difficulty for the sake of it
generally slower, there are some builds like that but they are mostly outliers.
speed is something the devs are trying to control so that the multiplayer experience doesn't suffer from one person running ahead of everyone else.

cool, its a great game and you can go fast but not light speed. It takes about 2 -3 secs to move 1 screen where something like poe is 2-3 screens per second

kk, definitely seems on the slower side, but not too bad. I assume once multiplayer comes out it might get a bit faster too as glass cannon dps builds could get more viable.
I'd say that one is quite a bit faster than most builds. It was designed to have high movement speed while maintaining very good clear. Most builds won't keep up with that. If you're looking for consistently fast paced gameplay, rogue is probably your best bet. Lots of fast builds for that class.

Transitioning into a hammer throw smite build and need to farm specific adroned idols, would farming the first monolith with the increased drop chance for adorned idols be the best method?
just farm whatever the highest area level you can is and look for idol echoes
can also do the dungeons and look for idol modifiers
if you're desparate, but doing what Arborus said should get you a couple to get started
I think it's more important to farm a Devotion amulet as early as possible, it will give you a qualitative change in damage, even without the right 2x2 idol you can also use the self casting build first (also very powerful)

if I take ice peaks in the upheaval tree, does bleed duration or bleed effect from item and passive tree now apply to frostbite?
I'm pretty sure it does, just validating before investing hours in my build 😄

No mention = no effect, this is absolute, if there are exceptions that must be where there is a mistake
this line is refering to "upheaval deals 15% more dmg to bleeding enemies" into "upheaval deals 15% more dmg to frostbite enemies" (This is the general way they talk about conversions across all skills)

Most of LE is a breath of fresh air... even for ARPG veterans... imho, the devs have slotted it in between being too complicated (like PoE) and too simple (like Torchlight 2)... only time will tell how it matures into itself...

Why can't I find any items that have +X mana per second?
Lol... LE is my only Early access game right now... its the only one I havent been burnt on and even then its likely to be the last ea game I play....
How do I get better mana regeneration on my melee character? I'm usually fine for small encounters, but as soon as I end up in a prolonged engagement I have to walk away and wait a bit for all my mana to come back.
There arent any.. mana management is a hot topic in this game... I would suggest reading up on the forum for the bigger picture and discussions about it...
I tried to search for mana regen and the only recent topic was some post from over a year ago where the devs simply said they'd look into mana regeneration scaling with max mana. That's it.
You usually have to allocate a mana earning skill... which is sometimes hard in a class that doesnt traditionally use mana..... there are various mana regen options but they are limited in gear - most existing in class appropriate passives & skill trees...
What class are you specifically trying to build in?
How does % mana regeneration work though? it seems like 10% of 8 mana regen is a joke.
It can be, but the primary reason for this is that there are no other ways of preventing spamming high dps nukes... i.e. you have to have the mana limitation in place for balance reasons...
I am a Beastmaster with 2 wolves, frenzy totem, upheaval, fury leap, and warcry.
There are skills with 0 mana cost, but how can I work them onto my bar when I already have a main attack and I need all of the other skills too?
If only I could add the 0 mana cost "basic attacks" to my left click when holding shift. Then I could use it when needed, but not have it take up space otherwise.
Thats part of the trick of building in LE - the devs have included the limitation of 5 skills on purpose... and they have confirmed this numerous times... If you post on the forums/primalist sections here on discord with your build, then the primalist specialists will help suggest a solution for you... (dammits build planner - https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/ will help you show what you are trying to do)...
I guess mana management is the price I pay for having more damage on my attack, because I could just swap out upheaval for a 0 mana cost skill.
Depending on your build concept, you may have to do things like that yes....
I was just curious why there's +X health regeneration per second and a +% health regeneration, but mana only has the %.
The developers do know that, while mana may become insignificant with the +X mana regen per second, this is still a choice to be made on the equipment? It's not like it's completely free; something has to be sacrificed for it. Sure, a little bit of that will negate all mana troubles for a melee character, but I can only assume that mages will have to significantly gear for mana regen, nerfing their damage and survivability, just to "spam forever".

imho, its just because of the balance issue... as with most things in LE, flat base values and flat increases have a HUGE affect on the stats because its fairly easy to get "increased" values... too high flat base values can cause skills etc to become OP almost immediately just because of the math..... Mages have the same difficulty with mana but they do have sources of reduced mana spend (e.g. wands with -3 mana etc) and other ways of getting mana back... Lots of mage builds are forced to use mana earning skills as part of the build - these are specifically designed for this purpose and without them, mages would be effectively useless because of the high dps & high mana cost of the mage nuke skills....
even +5 flat mana regen would actually be very very strong with how some of the mechanics work
because that's multiplicative with all the % increases, and for example: in the mage skill focus, it gives % increase based off missing mana, going from 5 base to 10 base, on 300 mana would make that go from 20, to 40 mana per second, and that's not including any of the other parts of that tree, that's a single node.

@scenic hound honestly, druids in primalist have it easy for mana problems, as do void knights. because they have mechanics that basically bypass mana entirely
Yes, the experience isn't terrible so far. I just fall flat on my face the moment I encounter anything that doesn't die in 5 seconds.
Pally also doesn't have much problem with mana it seems
It's fine though, the boss fights I'm having to disengage and wait for mana are ones where I should be disengaging to dodge mechanics anyways.
Dont think so... I think its because its too easy to get a huge pool of mana which, if it scaled regen would mean that mages would have no effective limit.... it would be less of a problem for other classes, but still an issue..
Druids have spriggan form vines granting rage even if you aren't in spriggan form (so you'll see werebear using this to never have have to run out of werebear or mana in general)
Volatile Reversal on Sentinal as a whole honeslty just resets your Mana after you spend it lol
I got back onto my shield rush build for a bit yesterday, forgot it literally doesn't even have to think about mana 
yeah sentinel builds in general don't really think about mana all that much.
either you reduce their costs to basically 0, or you bypass it with volatile reversal.
I don't mind the mage's "disengage and channel this spell to regen mana" design.
I think forcing the player into some sort of downtime, or making them vulnerable to regain their resources, is a valid balance.

Multiplayer beta is coming with the next update later this year (some time after September), we don't have details on trade quite yet as EHG is keeping fairly quiet about how they are handling it, and cycles are starting with 1.0 so they aren't here yet, but the game has been progressing at a good rate so I don't expect a huge wait relatively speaking
I remember seeing this game in like 2018/2019 and it really looked like "EARLY STAGES" if you know what I mean.. not polished or even remote to complete.
But it looks way better now, so I am curious how they listened to the community and how development went/how it is right now.

the design goal of trade in this game doesn't line up with an AH. they don't want your primary thought to be: can i get it through trade.
When trade is too easy/too free relative to playing the game itself, then trade is not healthy for the longevity of the game. and that's why they thought about the bazaar before hand. but decided to scrap that specific iteration, we don't know what they've come to since then on how to handle that.
Yeah understandable ofcourse, but even with an AH there are systems and methods that could prohibit such behaviour to actively occur.

The game is still incomplete that much is for sure, but that being said the current endgame system is solid and the dungeons are enjoyable, unique and interesting. There's a good variety in building and crafting is actually good and integral to the game which is something that's not often seen in this kind of game. World building in the story is pretty good and the level/area design is phenomenal. It usually isn't a huge wait on updates, this is the longest one I have seen in over a year, and they're fantastic at communicating the majority of information and usually only keep a few things fully under wraps.
Unlike PoE the game is designed with you being able to acquire everything yourself. which is also a factor.

Hey community, I just wanted to say how I really like the community in LE. A lot of the members are really nice and welcoming, it's a great change from many other games. Some folks like @sharp quartz @balmy current @native sail above and others are real gems. I hope this spirit remains.

I got a key for 2 different dungeons. Will I be able to engage with them and complete them without going off to read a guide on how they work? I know one of them requires me to put a unique in a vault at the end. Is it even worth me using this key if I don't have any unique to bake in the oven?
the boss will make sure you can "do" something in the vault

Guide not needed, mechanics are fairly intuitive just make sure to read any new ability that shows up when you enter. Temporal Sanctum always drops a Julra unique with at least 1LP which is nice

Nope... the only permanent choice is your Mastery - i.e. if you chose Sentinel base class, you will be asked to chose between Void Knight, Forge Guard and Paladin as a mastery... with no do overs once chosen.... everything else you can reskill, respec passives etc... the main reason for new chars is simply to try out different classes... not because you made a mistake on a skill or passive..

If you want to find out about trading possibilities, then the best place to look is the posts on the Forum... the devs are not willing to divulge what they have decided on yet but it will give you a LOT of background as to the pros and cons of various trade options that have already been discussed and in some cases even the devs philosophy on the topic... A few things seem chiseled in stone tho - no real world currency linked in-game trade transactions and cosmetic mtx with an in-game shop using real money as a means to support the devs & improve your drip.

Have you tested Ballistae in a different location? There are some issues with its targetting based on map especially the ones that have lots of different "heights".
Also sometimes used to happen with hammer throw for me... havent tested that one specifically in a long time tho.. so I am not sure if it was "fixed"

If you are still in normal monoliths, then finish it first for the belssing.. Corruption is only really worth it on empowered monoliths.

Does echo maps got like pretty much same number of "special" objectives overall? Like reseting completed rewards or changing not completed rewards? Or i can do like nearly/full map and have 0 rerolls
Afaik its entirely RNG... there are obviously nodes that MUST appear - like Orobyss nodes at the ends of the paths.. but the rest should be random... I wouldnt be surprised if some nodes have more chance than others but its still rng...
Does "Fight in the Shadows" or "Onslaught" on the Shadow Cascade tree trigger if used passively by "Hidden Blade" on the Dancing Strikes tree?
I'm reticent to take them if they aren't going to be used, but if they can stabilize my mana usage that would be fantastic. I know I could just take them, but sometimes its hard to tell whether something is happening or not.
It should because the node says YOU have a chance to use the skill and not something else - that usually means you get all benefits as if you used the skill manually yourself.... it would be a bit annoying to test with the 10% chance and making sure you have shadows but it should be possible...
any way to always display affix tiers instead of having to hold alt+ctrl?

including upheaval totem, it has a few problems as a skill imo, but it does scale with minion/totem stats not player stats.
the big upside of the totem is that you get a LOT of flat base damage for a minion

Autobomber is OP so you just run from start to end and things just die...echo warpath is running circles around enemies all the time and watching things die.... autobomb is easier imho for single targets... echo warpath takes practise to get the echos to spin in the right place...

I was eyeing the Master of the Totem node in Upheaval
i assume it refers to Upheaval hitting other totems to give them the buff
i was curious if it worked from Upheaval totem but there is no visual indication that this is working either way
there is, its just VERY hard to see, and only shows up on some totems. its this fault gold aura on the totem that has the buff
And upheaval totems can proc it, but its much more random since they will be shooting in random directions
that buff is good, but only when you self cast the upheaval, for totems they fire too randomly and slowly for it to feel that good

To explain a bit better =p :
Berserker will kick in for any damage dealt to below 35% of life. So say you have 100 max hp. You are at 50/100hp, you take a hit for 50 damage, you would be left at 8 hp~ with 5/5 berserker as it will apply to the portion of the damage below your 35% health.
Berserker is a bit different than endurance though: "if you are below 35% life, you take less damage", so it also applies to damage taken to ward so long as your health behind that ward is below 35%, unlike endurance.

Different topic, this node is, in theory, a single target increase, as the souls should be more clumped up, but the same amount should spawn in the area, correct? So it forces a more melee playstyle but if I combine it with spectral putrescence, there will be more souls in range, generally, than if I didn't take it? For bossing at least
Just making sure I understand the purpose, because I could see it also meaning I get less souls, to make up for the more damage multiplier on the node
I'm actually not 100% on this, would need to double check - but I believe only reveal rate should effect the number of spirits, not reveal range.

How do I tell my brain to stop telling me the grass is greener on another class/build, and keep grinding at what I've already got, so that I can fully realize its potential? I'm somewhere between level 65-70 and I think the progression on gear has slowed down a lot. I'm kind of glad it did too, because I was running out of crafting mats. To the point where I now filter out everything except T6+ drops. That seems normal though? At some point I'm wasting all of my resources trying to upgrade normie items where I have a 0.01% chance of getting 2 more physical damage % or something silly.
The multi-players are currently sleeping soundly in their cribs. They indeed OK.
nothing really wrong with starting a new build if you feel satisfied with what youve done but maybe try setting goals? "I'll farm x item. I'll reach x tooltip dps. I'll push to this amount of corruption"
Also you can always come back to a build later, or find items that can improve it on other chars

Whoa, are you sure about this? The way Berserker is worded it only turns on when you're below 35% health, but you're saying it's just like Endurance where it applies to damage taken above low health that is dealt below the 35% threshold?

Ive seen it used in smite builds with high lp, so ideally you would find/craft a good smite relic with +3 smite and other stuff.
it just gives you a source of leech as well as shock/chill for free basically.
but its only usable at 3/4 LP since its not THAT much of a bonus.
otherwise any good elemental build can use it if you slap good relic stats on it, but its mileage will vary since a DoT ailment build will generally just use a bleeding heart

I don't think that's true. If you have Hideskin, your Endurance threshold is half of your EHP pool, it's entirely possible to take many hits below half health before you're able to leech back up. It's very rare you're just dealing with one huge hit, and if you are, you probably should have avoided it.

eh, my experience is that if you're under max hp, leech puts you back to max hp almost instantly
if you get hit under 35%, you'll be there for a fraction of a second before your hp shoots back up
and if you're even 1% over 35%, any follow up hits you take won't be reduced
so you need to not only get hit under 35%, but then take more hits under 35% before you get over 35%
which isn't likely unless you're a non-leech build tanking a ton of small hits
and if you're a non-leech build, why are you in the middle of stuff taking a ton of hits?
with all the hp nodes in primalist I wonder if you could get enough hp to make the ward/s from exsang enough to compensate for not having easy access to ward retention
I don't think most builds leech instantly back from below 35% to full instantly, some certainly do (any Lich build) and well geared end game builds obviously can, but there's a long time before you're at that point.
it's not even if you leech back to full- if you leech over 35% you lose the benefit of the node
which means a 1% hp difference is suddenly turning off a defensive layer entirely for the full damage of the next hit you take
People still take Boar on non-melee builds even though it's inconsistent, I think you just consider Berserker the same way
even if your hp is pingponging from constant damage, if you ever go over 35% you're suddenly in more danger than being even 1% lower
