Poison is another res to not stress over. Very few sources of it and most the time it's a pool on the ground and don't stand in it.
Thanks. It's a bit of an uphill battle because I've spent nearly a decade on games where not capping resists means I might as well feed my character into a woodchipper right now.
Also if your build specialises in farming smth specific (for example dungeon) you can ignore certain resistances (dont need necro for julra etc.)
i thiink poison is actually pretty important, it wasnt the case until sanctum existed
because those missiles from snakes are poison damage

I've been playing this game for 2 years now and I'll have to say it feels almost launch quality already. Wolcen didn't feel like this at any time during it's development. This is much closer to a finished game.

its a rare-ish random drop... best chance to get it is is empowered stolen lance with the unique staff nodes and the unique/2h staff rate blessings 🙂

Indeed yeah, my current autobomber build is doing fine without uniques but that legendary omni post looked way better than my current staff
yeah... my vk autobomber was lvl 100 and pushing 300 corruption before the first one dropped for me... but I have poor rng most of the time 🙂

Anyone having troubles woth streaming the game on discord? Mine closes as soon as i start the stream, plays flawlessly otherwise.

They also revealed an upcoming unique on the dev stream a couple weeks back in which there is going to be a bow associated directly with Nightbringer that will create a really interesting combo along with the smokescreen skill.

Tried looking for it but I think it was in the stream 3 weeks ago which isn’t available, I remember there was a smokescreen skill increase as well as Multishot. It further interacted with the blind ailment and I want to say also had a void component. I just remember seeing that and immediately having Nightbringer make sense with it

If it's a minion ability that refers to "allies", then yes, that'd be you. If it's one of your abilities then probably not.
It does buff myself but my minions don't get buffed

It does NOT buff my minions at all and I assumed "allies" included minions which someone said it did
I have 36 attunment so the banner should give a 144% damage boost the all "allies" but I can assure you my minions aren't getting that.

Hi, quick question, I managed to get this after two runes of removal for my VK autobomber build. Does anyone have suggestions for how to finish the craft, and is it worth speccing into the ignite nodes in the smite tree with this (respeccing out of crit chance/crit multi I guess)?

it's cute but I don't see much synergy between the base, the void damage, and ignite. all VK can do with ignite to my knowledge is convert it to slow, so there's no way to make it scale with your void damage scaling.
you would certainly lose damage if you take out pts to focus on the ignite
staff bases are quite strong now, and smite benefits a lot from levels. I'd think a dragon staff or gate staff would do a lot more for you, likely even with just t5 %dmg
A Dragon Staff would only give levels if Smite isn't converted to Void since the passive skill conversion overrides the skill point conversion
But it's still a good base with a lot of base damage

Res seems important. Late game needs crit avoid. I don’t have any chars below 2k health but maybe that’s me
Health will be lower than PoE, ward is different here, resists matter as always
Only special defense is endurance
Armor resists all damage types, but not DoT, so it's usually really good
I'm also new, but from my understanding of resists in this gam, you dont need fully maxed resists. its not like PoE where a character with 50% fire resist takes 100% more damage than a character with 75% fire resist
Instead, everything is balanced around 0% resists because monsters have up to 75% penetration and you can have up to 75% resists, so having 70% instead of 75% in a resist only makes you take a tiny bit more damage
(whereas in poe having 70% in a resist is potentially straight up inting)
well it depends on what you want to do, if you want to push corruption as high as possible, maxing types of defense is probably best way to go, but if your goal is to farm T4 Julra most efficiently for example, you can forego certain things

Yes it does, for your second question, look up the ranges of each affix on the same item
i think dot/fire dmg have the exact same effect on your ignite
i asked a while ago for my frostbite sorcerer if cold is better than dot and i was told they're the same so im guessing its the same for all dmg types vs dot
basically the more specific it is the better, so for u worst one would be elemental dmg and the best one fire dmg over time

Resists are good, but not as vital as PoE
If you're telling players to drop 5% HP to overcap some resistance stat, you're effectively decreasing overall EHP
I would argue that resists are the best defensive layer available. Unlike armor resists reduce damage from DoTs. Unlike endurance resists always reduce damage. HP is not a defensive layer, it's what your defensive layers are protecting. You should always max resists before going for anything else, and you don't have to give up health to get max resists.
In general, yes, but as Airowird said, it depends what the opportunity cost is. If you can get more EHP from taking something else then that other stat would be better.
What does 'damage bonus taken from critical strikes' mean on an item?
Theres a typo in that, but it just means that you take less damage from critical strikes

Heya folks. Some quick questions about damage reflection:
a). If any enemy attacks you with a hit and it is reflected, is that counted as a hit against the enemy? If it's not a hit, does that mean it penetrates enemy armor/other hit damage reductions? How about if it is a hit?
b). Flat damage reflected is physical unless stated otherwise? If so, does it scale with increases to physical damage?
c). Does % damage reflected scale with anything?
d). Does % damage reflected work based on the incoming damage before or after reductions?
Alternately, is there a good wiki or some other resource I can find this kind of information for myself?

b) no, reflected damage has no element, it's just "damage" & doesn't scale with anything other than generic damage modifiers from your passive tree.
a) No (it's not a hit), yes (it ignores any damage mitigation mobs have & generally mobs don't have armour/resists unless specifically stated).

I’m confused on respec Epoch Travelers. I have a few skills I need to fine tine, and my passive tree needs fine tuning. For skill trees, do I click each node over and over to despec that node? For the passive tree, the changes are at the front of the tree 🌲- ok, not that kind of tree 😬 so do I start at the right and click my way back down to the first branch on the left?
Brain lady lets you respec main passive trees. On skills you click despec and choose individual passives one at a time.
How does the mechanic play out with 🧠 lady? That was super confusing because I kept getting her saying I couldn’t undo far right nodes?
You have only 2 things that can stop you: Lack of gold or the passive you are trying to respec is a pre-req for other passives you have and therefore cannot be removed without removing the other passives
So I tell her I’m respec’g and click far right node, and assuming I got gold, all is well?
Should be no issue removing points from far right
Should you always? I've seen top streamers who say stuff like it's valid to forgo other specific resists of you know a character will for instance be a T4 julra boss farmer. And especially starting out/early stages of endgame, I found it wasn't the worst to have some of my resists in the 70's rather than exactly and always 75%+ (as would be the norm in PoE)

It can take time but when upgrading gear you should be mindful of your resists and try to fill the gaps as you go
My sorcerer is entirely maxed, but my new build is still working on it.... but my new build also has other defensive layers that my sorcerer didn't have access to

while building your character up, absolutely you build for where you are at in your progression
but you shouldn't plan to not have res capped
a julra farmer is potentially something where you can skip certain resists, but i have 0 idea why you'd specifically just have a character that all it can do is julra

and one of the main reasons you dont need them capped when starting out/early stages of end game, is because 75% is overcapped at certain points :p
And to be a bit more in depth on it, it just comes down to the cost of getting your res's up, and done in a way that balances all your affixes. If you can't get your res's to cap, while balancing all your affixes, its probably costing you to much and you shouldnt
but doing it in a way thats balanced is part of the skill of the game when it comes to levelling efficiently
so you shouldnt ever aim to not be doing it, you should aim to be progressing in a way thats efficient and optimal
there'll be situations where rng screws you and you have to lose something to be more efficient, but you dont aim for that situation
A good example of this is super early on, right at the start of the game. The only res's you benefit from are void, physical, and cold ( a handful of spiders). You don't need any res's at all, but it can be easier with void and phys (and cold is more of a lucky pickup/shard drop res), and the rest dont do anything. Being efficient, you absolutely should get void res at minimum by ruins of welryn, just so you can run through it quicker because you dont get stomped on as much
You dont need that res though, but it's absolutely not as efficient to not put it on over basically anything else, because of the speed it enables in that section of the game
(and obviosuly you might get super bad rng and not have any, and that sucks, but you shouldnt aim to not have any, because again, its not efficient to (because the chance you dont get void res is less than the chance you do, and class depending you can also just get it through implicits or passives))
Having one character for julra isn't a terrible idea if you plan on making lots of legendaries

I remember devs saying that they aren't interested in doing this. For what it's worth, a number of people swap into/out of Bossing Setups, where they might use a Bastion of Honour for mapping, but dual wield for bigger DPS against a boss.

What are you asking about? Flame Burst is a spell, that hits and isn't an ailment... though depending on the source, I suppose it could show up as an ailment on the player to track activation?

It is affected just like any other skill, so flat fire damage and adaptive spell damage in this case.
Attunement and % increases to fire/spell damage as well plus any skill tree modifiers will affect the damage

It's not on your self, the ailment is applied to a target & when it reaches 6 stacks the ailment casts the Holy Flame Burst consuming itself.
is warpath a good build to start with? does it require a legendary to do well in the end game, or can you reasonably craft most of your gear?
warpath doesn't require any legendary or unique items to be playable in the end game although there are some uniques that you can farm for if you want to push your character to the limit
you should be able to complete the story, regular monoliths, and then get a decent ways into empowered monoliths with only rares though
awesome. i have got a marksman to monos, but most builds require a unique bow
so i was lookin to start somethin that didnt require a unique to really rock and roll, and i do love whirlwind builds

No. There are throw abilities, like hammer throw and javelin. Then there are bow abilities. You do not throw bows.

It's ranged, but having them in different categories permits to apply different treatments. See Umbral Blades, they do not work at all like a bow. On the opposite, Shurikens and Umbral Blades are far more comparable.
compare with poe, any class can use bows, daggers or staffs as they want. but atm marksan is the only class with bows, and the only weapon for marksman.
I think its waste of time for devs to design bows and affixs for bows only for marksman. or.. yes may add another class in future.
the problem is two thing. marksman is the only class that uses bow, and bow is the only weapon that marksman can use. at least, until now.
even if dev add another bow classes in future, imo seperate the classes with bow or not is not a very good idea.
I don't play PoE, I won't compare. In Last Epoch, I'd like the Primalist to use bows also, that could fit the lore.
And BTW, Marksman can use all weapons Rogue can use, which means almost all. Not optimized, though.

Just read through all of the skills it has and pick your own direction. I did the opposite. Someone suggested in this discord that I make an autobomber vk. So I did. And I followed a build guide. It was a lot of fun but I didn’t Lear anything. Now I made my own build. And it’s viable and I’m learning a lot
If an item has a sealed affix on it, as long as it has 4 unsealed, can I still put it in the eternity cache?
yes, all that matters is that it has 4 unsealed , its ok if it has a sealed one too
and the sealed affix cannot be put on the legendary, only the 4 unsealed ones can

Anyone else had problem with Loot Filtering Idols??? No matter what I do, I always get shown all Relics not just the ones I put as "show".. Also tried to make it reverse and put everything else on "hide" but they are still showing.. WTF am I doing wrong
can you share a screenshot of your filter? usually the issue would be you ticked Idol affixes on a rule that's higher up, which causes them to match
also, "show" doesn't do anything unless there's a hide all rule below that

Finally got an Apathy's Maw, dodgy rolls but 1 LP. What would be good affixes to try and put on it? % and flat void damage seem obvious. Unsure if physical damage is a good idea, or how attack speed, crit multiplier, and added crit stack up against each other (or against %void), and just generally drawing a blank on suffixes.
(Chill on hit? Armour shred? Frailty? Whatever happens getting the suffix here would be a consolation prize.)

Yes, unless the node in question specifies “on hit”, in which case the ailment does not get the penetration bonus as they cannot hit

Weapons are just stat sticks, so in this scenario it would just add on to the ignite chance on hit by the skill used, any ignites that are applied by that skill that has a non-specified “on hit” penetration node bonus would have that penetration applied

"when hit" means when you take a hit. "On hit" means it procs whenever you hit.

Ailments applied by a skill inherit the scaling of the skill itself (where relevant), so yes
But they don't scale with the flat spell damage. They will scale with all relevant modifiers (ie, if it's ignite, which is fire damage, that ignite will scale with any generic % more damage from within the skill tree, % fire, % DoT, % elemental DoT, % elemental but not % spell/melee/throwing/bow damage since ailments aren't spell/melee/etc).

respeccing can be a bit hard in the very early stages of the game but is more or less trivial later on

They're generally not meant to be facetanked. If there's a big telegraph, you're supposed to avoid the hit.

Hello and welcome! At least the first time it's good to explore, you may find some hidden places and you will see the beauty of Eterra. With next characters, you will probably want to go faster.
Selling is usually not really worth.
But you may want to shatter, in order to get shards.
Items have next to no value, it's not worth selling things to an NPC. You aren't going to miss anything not exploring.
how about droprates, is it pure hell to get decent stuff or reasonable?
Drop rates depend entirely on the item itself

Some builds exist only because of a unique/set, but that's only if you do that specific build. You can play any class through endgame without any uniques
i just got out of wolcen and was losing my mind there, farming 50 runs of endgame and not getting a single thing that would be an upgrade and it just got not fun at all

Well every game is like that. You do eventually get diminishing returns as your gear improves

The crafting system really helps in LE to get your what you want for an upgrade. Just make sure you setup your loot filter appropriately

respec is very easy, cheap and rather fast. As Revelasti said, you can respec all except your mastery choice

i mean you could argue nothing in the game is important except numbers
the hidden rooms have some element of world building/lore to them
so they have value
as well as that they do have chests in, or at least some of them
and in terms of zooming through the story, some of the rooms are significantly faster than killing rares near there
(and can be an effective way of getting the res you need for that part of the story)
if a skill procs another skill, can I level the proccable one and put points in it to improve it or? like flurry procs multishot, can i lvl up multishot even tho I dont have it on my skillbar and dont use it manually? or does it only proc the base version
You can level and specialize multishot aswell if you let it proc via flurry. You dont need it on your skillbar, it will receive all the bonuses you level into the skill.
Its a popular way to use decoy without specializing it.
But you still can specialize into five skills, no more.

Hammer throw doesn’t leech from melee hit right?
Only World Eater passive from Void Knight (if hammer throw does base void dmg/Void Bolts Void Knight passive), global leech like Bleeding Heart amulet or Throwing Dmg leeched as health Blessing from The Black Sun Timeline (a couple of examples). But not melee since it has a 'throwing' tag

The only health regain I have at the moment is health on kill. Obviously regen as well but it doesn’t help much against bosses
Pretty much the only thing ascendancy takes into account is the item type. You can get items over your character level or the item level. It doesn't do boss drops (so if you're looking for reign of winter, it won't work)

Yellow belt would probably be better than either of those tbh. And yeah, you can just focus damage til act 9. By then you'll want poison and phys res cap. Health is always good

Depends on the build, for a melee poison build on a dodge-based class (like a Rogue or Primalist), the Vipertail is pretty decent.

No, it basically does nothing at all and is mostly a useless unique. Normally only boots have movespeed, and it is what it is. Might have to change your expectations of speed.

I would agree, except that for the very first levels it's decent. As a combo with the boots below and a Close Call Shield, it can even be good. But sure, it falls off quite fast.
People need to try out the close call with the forge guard passive that converts dodge to armor. It's pretty neat

push through the levels until you get to the Empowered Monoliths at level 100. Then it's better to push corruption after that

Can someone share with me what sort of system/method they use to figure out which exalted items to keep or not?
I find my self tempted to keep all of them "just in case"
except for very obvious situations where they have affixes that don't mesh well
I've changed this week and dumped all my exalted. Now for each one I find the question is "can I use this with a Unique and create a Legendary?", and the other question is "can I use this right now in my current build?"
This is just going to be a question of your experience in playing the various masteries and understanding what affixes are best for any build (like Hybrid Health, Crit Avoidance) and what are best for specific builds (Like Melee Crit Chance, Ailments, while channeling affixes etc)... and as Shtrak mentioned, looking at what exalts will actually be best suited to what Uniques to make Legendaries... all of it is just going to be a question of learning as you go....
Yeah, I think a lot of it will eventually boil down to remembering which bases have uniques that would be useful to have exalted affixes on
The answer to that question is all. The base type is all that matters (ring, helmet etc).

I haven't made a system yet, but what you need to know is what uniques you might get with LP and what mods you'd want for them. You'd have to make a list or filter rules
I found I stopped collecting certain item bases because there was no relevant unique to combine them
Yeah I know which uniques/exalted are good for my builds, but I think something more comprehensive would be nice down the line, I think I just need to figure out how some of the other classes work
for example I don't really play primalist now so I don't know which uniques are great for them (and therefore which exalted items and their affixes to keep an eye out)

for an exalted item its 100% for tier 1 and really high for tier 2
after that its rapidly less
dont know the exact odds but T1 & T2 seals seem to work fairly often... never managed to seal anything higher tho. Imho, its good to seal +skill affixes or +potion with clear ailments - i.e. things that give the most bang for the buck at lower T levels...

The lower the Affix Tier, the more likely it is to seal. But did you know that there is a guarantee for some modifiers as well?

Yes, removing the cooldown of a skill allows you to spam it until you run out of any other required resource.

You can tell by the colour of the effect which matches the colour of your resists on the character screen (except physical which is a dark red). So necrotic skills will be a light blue/teal, lightning is either pale blue or yellow, void is purple, etc.

Yes, there's a chest that you can open like the chest after a mono.
You can also get a key that lets you start at either wave 80 (from memory, it's been a while & I'm pretty sure that they've changed it since) or 50% of your max wave when you left whichever is higher.
It's now 100 and not 80. Or 50% of max wave, as you wrote.

To add to this.... some advice, when you can see any hit coming - i.e. its telegraphed by some sort animation (mob movement or on the ground) before it hits - get out of the way.... In LE all telegraphed hits are very strong and should be avoided rather than tanked....

What do you mean? its possible. Its not incredibly likely, but its more likely than an legendary with effective level 100 for instance. You will have to farm for that item most likely.

Where the source of penetration comes from does not matter. The only thing that could be different is if the skill's node specifies that its "hits" have increased penetration.

Blessings are unique to each timeline. You are given a choice between 3 from its dedicated pool (goes up to 5 with larger corruption) and you can keep your current one or replace it one of the offered ones, each time you complete the timeline.
Empowered (lvl 100) timelines give you grand blessings, which are essentially better versions of those found in normal timelines.
Also what is the difference between unique and legendary items
Uniques with legendary potential get turned into legendaries by using an exalted item after killing Julra in the dungeon

This one is a bit like the "stuck between a rock and a hard place" saying.... you want more random boss behaviour, but the devs have created very specific mechanics in the game so that bosses can be harder to defeat and hit harder - purely because you can learn what they do and anticipate things that will one-shot you or know that you should move because the boss is about to do something else detrimental to your health... The ability to predict/learn a boss makes it possible for anyone/anybuild to defeat any boss... if the bosses were entirely random it would be hell to defeat them and essentially depend on Luck (more RNG)....\ If Julra for example, had more random choice in her attacks and the order of her attacks, then she would be exponentially harder to defeat and the forums would be flooded with angry comments to this effect... Same with Orobyss - and he is already the most random boss due to his random skill combination/selection when he is spawned.

Unless your stacking against resistance shred. From my understanding it’s different than penetration
mhm. so marked for death = 25%, max res shred vs player = 40%, so 140% is max. but i probably shouldnt assume i will have my res shredded at max stacks, so 100-120% should be optimal. thanks!
100-120% is overkill
usually you aim for 60+ if you need another suffixe to go beyond this its usually not worth the investment

hammer throw is a throwing attack
so rings have an affix called -3 mana cost for throwing attacks on them, thats the main source of it @runic sonnet

Well some uniques are specifically designed around bosses which is quite normal in arpg games. So it makes sense that they can only drop from that specific boss. Imo you can even get this bow quicker than a drelkors bow for example. Random drops can be bad luck if you dont gamble with runes. Some timeline uniques are way rarer, and for how powerful reign of winter is, 50% drop chance is decent.

Yeah I've notice that, after lvl 60 drops become quite useless for certain builds... And you only get the right match every 20 lvls on average

funny thing is, i created primalist to use a different unique, but that one is for lvl 80, so maybe this one will fall off by then

titan heart if you can get crit immunity elsewhere (recommended) otherwise Flesh is a good option while you're getting to that point.

Anyone tried Earthbreaker Upheaval? the node that makes it not scale with attack speed. I am wondering if it would work with something that has crazy high attack but is rather slow as opposed to stacking attack speed?

Yes, but a fair part of that is due to the Shockwave node not inheriting the 40% less chance to apply ailments. Once that bug has been fixed it'll drop the DPS quite a bit, then they can see how much of a nerf it needs.
Yeah I think fixing the bug should probably put it in a good spot, which would make it a strong boss killer/single target DPS but not quite as ridiculous
beastmaster actually, for the frenzy totem and nothing else. My plan was to run earthbreaker upheaval (30% more dmg, no attack speed scaling) because I have leviathan carver. But idk how viable it will be once I get there. So far attack speed upheaval is holding up nice too and if slow one fails I can always just go axe and shield

Tricky to chose a favourite class that doesnt change.. mainly due to some known issues with various classes (like that Llama8 already touched on above) affecting how good they are... my favourite has changed quite a few times.... loved Spellblade when I started but its no longer as good, VK devouring orbs was my first char to lvl 100, shield throw paladin was fun till it hit a dps ceiling.... bladedancer & marksman are great but I never settled into perfect build for either that I liked.... right now my best char is a Forge Guard Manifest Armour with shield throw build (search Kryce on the forum)... comfortable farming at 350+ corruption levels, decent defence, excellent dps and can do all the current content without feeling like its broken or boringly OP. Even still has room for min/maxing gear so there is something to farm for...

Marksman wizard has been the funniest so far... my lightning sorc it's very powerful although squishy, like any sorc class a glass cannon... and the void knight it's overall the most OP but kinda boring for me

I was wondering, does anyone know how many sealed affixes can be put in a single item? And is it possible to upgrade a tier 5 to 6, or even 6 to 7 via critical hit in forging ?
You can only seal one affix on an item, and you cannot craft to tier 6 or 7 under any circumstances, including critical successes

A better cpu is more likely to help since it's an offline game, your cpu is responsible for all the AI, proc calcs, etc.
In additon to what Llama said, you also dont mention your resolution so its hard to tell exactly what your performance "should be". Remember LE is in beta and generally unoptimised so we do have to make some compromises in terms of expectations of performance. Hopefully once the devs address performance issues, things will improve.

crit avoidance caps at 100% (you can get more but it does nothing) and woven flesh gives 100% crit avoidance
You shouldnt be getting 40fps on a 1080ti @ 1080p on exculsively Low settings - perhaps during a busy gameplay moment but not average fps... I get better than that on my 1060 @ 1080p on Low on Win10... If you are interested in trying to figure out what could be happening, open a thread on the Technical Support section of the forum and attach your le_graphicsmanager.ini, dxdiag report output & your player.log... There may be something obvious that will help and this isnt really the place to troubleshoot....

Lots of leech
Since the decay accelerates, you'll never be able to stay in Lich form "forever" but with sufficient leech & damage you'll be able to stay in it for a few monoliths at least.
Leech is applied over 3s so it counteracts the drain from Reaper form & because you're constantly loosing hp from the drain, the leech effect isn't removed when you're at full hp.

No easy way (i.e. its not available as a tooltip/character sheet value) but you can work it out manually.... If you max out Endurance % you can get 60% damage reduction on any part of a hit that takes your health below whatever your endurance threshold is and if your health is less than your threshold when you take damage, all the damage is reduced.... Yes it's one of the most commonly used uniques
The uniques in these modern arpgs simply do not feel the same or draw as much attention as the legendary diablo 1 and 2, my only knock on this game and POE are the unique items and set items

When I have vines and cast Entangling Roots after, I can see strictly nothing. I don't see the effect on the Spriggan either.

Nope, the closest you can get is if one skill procs another skill, you won't need the second skill on your bar
But you won't ever be able to specialise more than 5 skills

There are not currently any plans to majorly change the skill specialization system or the maximum number of specializable skills.
You can't specialize more than 5 skills, there's no reason to have more buttons.
You didn't run into problems, you were playing the game wrong. Trying to play a game like another game will always get you in trouble

That's not quite true. There are some skills that are reasonable to have unskilled.

how does poison flurry blademaster compare to shuriken? Most of the builds I see, if it's poison it's shuriken, but I'm not too big on that skill...
Shurikens have far lower damage than flurry channel, but slightly better area clear speed if I am not mistaken. However I use shurikens as buff every time I dash even in flurry and just focus on shred from them.
Yup, though the shred is irrelevant given how much shred you'd get from the poison stacks from Flurry.
Nah, they're auto-cast from the shift and aren't anything I am going out of my way to apply. Just didn't have anything else to spec into that would auto-cast.

I just spent the last 6 hours farming for an exalted bow and man... looting is quite boring at the end game
And it should be the most exciting part
Its less exciting than it should be especially at lower corruption levels where the drop rates are not great for uniques and even at high corrption where drops are better, monos can get monotonous (whoops, sorry for the comparison EHG) after a while.... Personally, I find that its best to farm for multiple items across multiple monos to help alleviate the monotony (sorry cant help it)... The dungeon does mix things up a little too.... What is nice is that the devs know that end-game needs more to keep it interesting so updates like the one coming should help...

Actually, looting is awesome through the story. Because of the pace you can keep changing gear
But when you hit lvl 60... gear lvl doesn't matter too much
Instead you need to focus on affixes, farm for exalted and pray for the right affix t6... and most of the affixes are useless thanks to the rng...
My lvl 58 rare bow semi forged is way better for my build than any unique atm... that doesn't feel right
Thats by design I think.... Once you start on Monos crafting becomes much more useful than drops and you transition from finding drops that improve your char to finding drops that would make good crafts and go from there... its almost a distinct planned difference between campaign and end game with a little transition phase in the middle...
Yes Hello. I have a big issue with the game at the moment. It seems my game is locked to 30 FPS. Even tho i disabled the FPS lock feature, tried every single setting there is. Anyone know's a solution to this problem? Thanks
It's possible your graphics card software has an FPS limiter enabled if you've unlocked frame rate in game and disabled v-sync, such as Raedon's FRTC.
I use 3070ti and just checked If I had any specific FPS lock enabled (I play other games without issues) And nothing was enabled.
I understand that It's super hard to do anything without any logs from my end, just figured if it was a common issue and there was some quick fix for it
Some people do encounter FPS drops as we are hard at work on optimization. However being "locked" at low FPS without FPS being locked is not something I've personally encountered or seen pop up. is it just one specific zone you're getting 30FPS in, do you get more FPS in different zones, does it fluctuate? If it's not due to performance, it should stay fairly steadily at 29.7 FPS with a 30FPS lock~

Ok, so it's not an FPS cap, it's sounds like performance. Resolution shouldn't effect a cap. Performance is an ongoing effort, for which we release improvements every patch. Performance will be a larger focus in this upcoming dev cycle with targets in hand, and we just hired on a brand new technical artist this week as well which is going to be very helpful for visuals and performance related improvements.
If i play in windowed and make the window very small i get really good values tho 🙂
But the thing is, with my old spec: 4770k gtx 980, i had really good performance
It could be specific configurations with the current setup. The technical support forum is going to be the best bet to see if someone else may have encountered the same situation or specific conflicting settings. Every setup is a bit different, so it's really hard to say, there's no real one size fits all fix. The biggest things I have found to help with FPS dips is screen shake, and damage numbers. but if you're getting the low performance while just sitting in town, those should not be impacting.

So I'm a bit confused by the reckless spin node in the warpath tree (gives -6 to channeling cost and -30% ele resistance while spinning). Why would someone want to take that node when the node before can give the same amount of reduced channeling cost for the same amount of point value without the ele penalty? As far as I can see nothing else in the warpath tree increases its channeling cost.
It frees up skill points & 30% ele resist isn't difficult to get, especially as a Pally
@balmy current I guess I just don't understand because warpath only has a channeling cost of 4. Does having more reduced channeling cost than is necessary affect the mana cost for warpath in some way?
No, though it would allow you to stack more of a buff from the Warrior's Fury node if you had more than -10 channel cost

The first increases all damage while you have a bow equipped (eg. would also increase bleed damage)
The second only effects damage dealt by a bow (would only effect the direct bow skill damage)

This is the lightest patch for skills that we've ever had I think. No new skills, no skill reworks. We've got some tweeks here and there that are necessary but nothing huge. The new catalysts and unique items will have a bit of a shakeup effect on some builds I think though.

The bug, as far as I know, is that force waves have 100% chance to apply full ailment value per hit, when stuff like Warpath only has a 40% chance to apply full ailments per hit. I was told that was unintended or would be corrected soon-ish as Warpath was only recently corrected.
