Anyone playing a Poison dot build? or is upfront big hits the way to go with poison
Stack as many poisons as you can. They have low base damage, but reduce enemy resistance per stack.

However I think it's a prefix while poison chance is a suffix, so you can have both.
Attack/cast speed is one of the most important stats on most poison builds, too.

the "hit" does nothing for the poison it applies like with every other alliment you need many hits / lot of chance % / duration / effect

Hi all, I've been theorycrafting this bleed bladedancer build which uses shurikens+sync strike to stack a lot of bleeds and puncture to get back mana + mutilate to burst all the bleed at once. https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/3ApD4KAE
Anyone with experience with mutilate can suggest if it is viable/ any recommendations ?
And yeah Ik Valdyr's chalice + rare amulet is another option
imo go rare belt and poison res implicit chest. get hp suffixes on helm and chest
if you need the res suffixes put them on rings
you should max out the death's door passive in blade dancer as a high priority
Missile Mastery in Marksman doesn't do much if your focus is bleed
Should max out Evasion in rogue passives too
imo Disembowel and Lethal Cadence are relatively weak points
Wing Guards don't make much sense if your focus is on throwing attacks and a cooldown-gated skill
Disembowel passive = 166% bleed chance so it is not weak
on every third use of an attack you get 5 extra stacks of bleed, and need minimum 3 points in lethal cadence, which is ~6.7% damage per point.
and since the build above is using shadows + shurikens...I question if those shadow-copied shurikens get the bleed from that
or if it's only your shuriken throw
it all of the shadow copies get it too, it's probably pretty decent since shadow shurikens with blade shield are bugged atm and shotgun
if it doesn't apply to their shurikens it's probably not great
actually interesting question btw
also in Suraj's build I wouldn't put more than 1 point into Argent Veil. It is a passive where you either invest heavily or just put 1 point and forget

I believe they are affected by the tree, just not certain nodes like blade shield

So I'm rerolling a Paladin today in Hardcore... What would offer me more damage and survivability: fire shield throw, or lightning javelin (not focused on smite)
I've done Shield Throw in the past before Sentinel rework and it was quite good, but javelin seems like it would offer similar results and it's new

You need to use avarice/tome of elements/prism wraps(with close to 100% crit chance) till you get the blessing tho
Also can do temporal corruption+void bolts for more flat dmg but it makes your smites purple and I don't like that
I'm having some troubles with the filter, I've got 3 different recolor rules, one that recolors all exalteds, one that recolors items with at least 2 affixes that I want, and the last one that recolors items with at least 1 affix that I want, but it doesn't work, it's overwritten by the 2 affixes one
The last rule being above or below the 2 affixes one doesn't change anything
To make it easier to understand the 1 affix is specifically for rares ones, in that case +1 flurry and multishot damage so I don't have to look at every item that is on the ground

What is the quickest way to progress through the Monolith to unlock the empowered ones? Just beeline straight out from center or reset to add corruption? Kinda bummed we have to redo the easy ones on each character
Beeline straight out and farm nodes further from the center as they reward more stability. A shade kill rewards ~2x the normal stability amount and I usually complete the fight in order to reach the required stability for the third quest echo.

Bardiche adds 60 to 90% bleed chance, but you stack a ton of that stat already and the Great Axe has a 0.06 higher attack rate, with attack speed being hard to come by.
Does empowered mono's increase the chance for rare drops from the boss?
Indirectly by scaling how much increased rarity you can stack up via modifiers

As far as I know there is no current way to self ignite

Like in the planner my attack speed says 124% and changes based on the weapon base attack rate but that confuses me because I thought it was base + attack speed %

Basically the best way to think about it is a 1.0 weapon is 100%, if you have 150% extra, you have 250% total. if you have 150% extra on a 1.2 weapon, you have 300% total
The reason its important to consider baseline 100% is because if you have 0% increased and a slow weapon your page will actually show negative attack speed
so if I have 50% increased attack speed and a 1.2 rate weapon I multiply my increases by 20%
Since the less then 1.0 base speed constitutes to less attack speed.

since you have a baseline 100%, so if you were naked and had no passives etc, and put on a 1.2 weapon your sheet would say 20% attack speed
Base speed * (1 + increased attack speed) = sheet speed
So if you had 50%, and a 1.2 weapon, it would be 1.2 *(1 + 0.5) = 1.8 or 80%
the tldr is that yes basically weapon base speeds are more multipliers
so the sheet on the planner is showing the formula and then adding the base attack rate on top?
Because when I calculate my attack speed I get 102.92 but the sheet says 126% when I have a 1.24 weapon

Basically sheet is showing you the final "extra" attack speed you have. You have to account for the baseline speed, which is the 1 in the above formula. 1 is the baseline, which does get mutliplied by weapons
So even if you were a level 1 character with 0 passives and items, a 1.2 weapon gives you 20%
Because 1.2 * 1 = 1.2 or 20% above 100%.

I couldnt tell, I think its bone curses damage, its pretty low in my own tests.

you start at x - 11 depending on lvl
from around 80 levleling a skill to 18 takes 3-5 minutes
to 20 another 5-10
getting faster later ... at 90+ you can reach lvl 19 in sub 5 minutes and 20 in sub 10
yeah its a bit strange that its most punishing early
but you will reach like -2 levels of your other skills very fast
dont worry just try stuff - maybe not respeccing ALL your skills at once

Use the dummy to get a rough idea, totems are a lot more problematic to test as they don’t attack the dummy and don’t have a DPS indicator either
Depends on the context, if this is asking without running into any data corruption issues or anything like that (or a new computer) go with local files
I had a blackout and this appeared after I got online back.
Essentially the difference between the two is only that steam can be a day to a couple days behind compared to local files

The player was referring to Omnis, a unique amulet not the Omnividence staff.
It isn't, early on. You have low ward retention/per second and will end up at about 60% less effective HP/ward with the unique that converts.
Or that's my experience.
It's better to leave your HP at max and then generate ward on top of that since that doesn't put as much strain on your ward retention.
What I do suggest is converting your potions to ward. Sorcerer can get elemental leech on the tree, which is enough while levelling.

Overcapping your resistances is only effective in certain niche situations, it's generally better to invest in a different layer once you're capped.
btw if you're 25% overcapped

Depends on what reduces it. Mostly you're at 50.

I heard that the mark that reduces 25 would consider your overcap, but I don't believe that's worth building around.
So yes, invest into a layer that's always active rather than overcapping.

Must be the penetration. If you don't get any from other sources, it's a new extra multiplier.
I would think Katana, Eagle Wing, Obsidian Dagger, or Doom Star
if you're lightning conversion then Crescent Axe makes sense

if you're doing the lightning route in swipe, you already get quite a lot of access to lightning penetration, though

Enemy armor mechanically works the same as our armor, DoTs bypass armor so it would help on the initial hit if it’s not a DoT skill. It’s also why Acidfletch is so confusing as a unique with armor shred on a bow designed for HoA

Fire shred your biggest source will be from the Spirits of Fire monos as a blessing, typically they are in skill node trees and passives. The Simoon gloves also do it but only for the tornadoes they proc

what's the difference between "Spell Damage" and "Elemental Damage"?
I'm trying the ice mage, and wonder what will give me more damage output
@final solstice spell damage improves any type of skills tagged with "spell", for exemple, a void skill tagged with spell is a spell that deals void damage but no elemental damage, meaning only skills (they do not have to be spells, they can be melee) that deal elemental damage will be improved
So in your case, if your skills with the ice mage have the tag "spell" and "elemental", both will improve it, if it only has "spell" but no "elemental" (which could be "fire" "cold" "lightning"), elemental damage wont be useful

They all apply equally
Intelligence improves the skill by 4% any 1 intelligence point
If you have 10 INT it will improve the skill by 40%
but you shouldn't craft attributes on your gear IMO, passive trees has lots of attributes

yeah it doesnt seem like CPU in this case.. i first thought its cpu like PoE due to calc but CPU seems to be at like 20% or less and 40c FPS in low lightning maps is like 200 but some specific maps really drop the FPS

I can run PoE full MTX whatever any game that is supposed to be GPU hungry but somehow LE crashes if I put it at max settings
i have no problem runing LE on max settings either nor PoE poe i actually get like 350-400 FPS down 200 ish on crowded shit.. i limit to 144 tho on PoE and keep 144 on fully juicy map spell cascade setting with spammy cast speed .
but LE Umm on town i get 200 ish FPs for most part i keep 120-160 fps at action even in arena.. but some jungle maps with sun
FPS can go as low as 60
but it doesnt feel smooth at all
LE needs more tweaking about graphics issues IMO
i think so too mainly lightnning / light stuff i only experience less FPS when theres "sun"

With Warcry, it’s a nice hard CC on bosses, but overall I personally feel meh about it. But I haven’t tried seriously on a freeze build. Chill is better in my opinion

They are also diametrically opposed nodes as one is focused on Bleed (DoT) and the other on crit

What's the mana regen formula? What is base mana regen, and how does % regen work for it? Is % mana regen better if you have a higher base mana pool?
Base is 8 mana per second, doesn't scale with pool. Increased regen modifies that rate, and there's no flat mana regen currently (I think) so the formula isn't complicated. 50% regen gives 12 mana per second. 8 * (1+0.5)

guys the different between these two is the marksman node can only trigger once per skill and the rouge one which is 16 can trigger more ? once per hit?
for example if i have skill that hit twice or 3 times the rouge one will trigger 3 times?

This would probably depend on if you can get faster stacks on bleed with that extra bleed chance, as you would be loosing a bit of dps unless you can stack another bleed

dont you guys feel that chill is abit too strong or actually not too strong but too easy? any build with high hit per second regrdless of anything else can have just 10% an benefit fully from the like 30% less attackspeed/movement speed on enemeies?
I mean the issue with it a slippery slope, you start tweaking those numbers much and now it's very niche and hardly seen instead, although 30% seems high, I can see like 25% still being fine
Somehow builders says that their build can achieve stupid ammounts of damage (5 mil for example) but it's only working on the dummy since it has no res at all, when taken into endgame you generally deal far less than it's supposed to
for example, my flurry skill, no buffs, deals at max 10k melee damage on the dummy where it's usually 1k at max on monsters/bosses

My rogue has a movement skill called swift that procs shadow cascade which is an aoe skill, but it doesn't deal enough damage to rely on it, I use it to make the ennemies bleed so I deal more damage to them

Is Abomination a good choice for necromancer? I started using him and his movement seems to be clunky, as in getting stuck behind my other minions and not really knowing how to walk. that also affects his attacking, he just takes a while before he realizes he's supposed to be angy

Like the Fall of the Outcasts has some nodes that are set/unique bows and quivers.

Those monolith specific nodes also spawn on normal monoliths, just not nearly as often.

its split about in bits, so like reign of dragons has unique/set maces, axes, swords, daggers all in it. Axes and maces are their own nodes, and swords and daggers are a different node
That is ONLY for the specific echo reward that grants specifically a set or unique item of that category.
you wont find them very often before empowered, but once in empowered you see them a lot more and you will understand what it means
Yeah. I only found a handful in my monolith runs up until empowered and then I found like 8 of them before I got enough stability for the 3rs quest of my first empowered monolith.
corruption is a multiplier to stability too
Eventually you get to where you're able to do the boss every 10 echoes or so
The specific item drop per monolith was their replacement for being able to gamble set and unique items.
