It varies. They are pretty rare, you'll start seeing them as you approach the end game.
hello, will we be able to see this game in spanish in the future?
Can you reset monoliths outside of the shades? I feel like I’m missing something.
There is also a special node (Chaos?) which resets your completed nodes so you can run them again (it also resets the pathing). Why do you feel like you're missing something?
nope
There's a decent chance. Localisation is planned but not a priority yet.
is there a way to see what's my bow fire damage?
i can only see increased fire damage
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/jAv5g1om what should I aim for next? Im thinking the crit avoid or endurance threshold blessing
Build Planner that allows to customize any aspect of Last Epoch character build including equipment, passives and skills
Does my new character share the same endgame as my other characters?
no
1.does that means i have 22 spell critical and 12 melee critical?
2. melee means everything except bow, throw and spell?
- No.
- Melee means skills/effects that specifically have the melee tag.
explain number 1 please.
You have 6% crit (5% base crit * any increased critical strike chance)
You have 16% spell crit (5% base crit * any increased critical strike chance including from sources that are specific to spells)
You have 6% melee crit (5% base crit * any increased critical strike chance including from sources that are specific to melee)
i get that part. thanks. i mean how what is the difference between critical strike chance and spell critical chance?
i get the difference between spell and melee though...
critical strike chance only includes non-specific additions to base crit and non-specific increases
spell crit includes those + effects that only apply to spells
so critical chance does not affects spells you say?
so what does it affects?
like, for instance
Generic Crit and Increases are treated weird in the char screen: They are added to all specific ones although only effecting each once. Exemplary, Increased Damage is added to Increase Phys and Increase Melee but only effects your Damage once. That's the same here with crit but it also has this pointless "generic crit" line which is never applied if I'm right because all attacks are either melee, spell, throw or bow attack, I think.
but it isn't a separate number
your crit and spell crit come from the same 5% base, the spell crit number is just also modified by spell-specific increases and additions
if you're casting only spells, the normal crit number is meaningless to you
so if i go for 10% critical chance and 5% spell critical chance my spell will get 10% crit, right?
no, your spell gets whatever the sheet says for the spell crit number
because like my OVERALL critt is higher than my spell crit
plus all of the various things that don't apply to your sheet
There should be no situation where your normal crit number is higher than your spell crit number other than incorrect/bugged display via the character sheet
why do we need critical chance stat to be displayed ?
Yup
okay, thanks
A lot of things about the character sheet are just wrong/misleading vs how they actually work atm in terms of what gets displayed or what gets added where
we do not have any +flat damage to spell in LE, right? all flat damage is for the melee?
for spell we have %% increase
We have adaptive spell damage, which is flat for spells
Adaptive Spell Damage
and there are some sources of flat damage of specific types
like there's an amulet that gives flat lightning spell damage
you deal a small amount of lightning alongside your normal fire damage
and that lightning damage is scaled by anything that would normally scale it for that ability
like increased spell damage, elemental damage, lightning damage, attribute damage scaling, etc
ye, so every damage type is stakable. i though if i use fire spell +non fire spell damage going to do nothing for my fire spells
Yeah, you can add whatever flat damage type you want to anything
it will just only scale with the things that would normally scale it
so increased fire damage isn't going to do much if you somehow make the majority of your volcanic orb deal lightning damage via massive flat added damage
not that we currently have any way of adding that much of specific damage type to most spells, because most sources of flat spell damage are adaptive
thats true. we have specific damage school increases
weird that allmost every dagger base goes with critical strike chance.
it might be because melee critical strike chance is always lower than "usual" critical strike chance.
pure guess
@brittle atlas thanks a lot
is it safe to use the DPS listed here to gauge which items grant me more dmg?
i am comparing between this 2 items and the DPS suggests blue item will give me more (i'm guessing because of +1 dex)
That is the purpose of the tooltip but it can be a bit wonky at times.
There’s no way to know how 1 Dex translates into dps right?
hover over the skill and press alt. should tell you how it scales.
or then i'm completely misremembering.
It only shows the effect, e.g., 4% increased damage but not the direct effect on your dps as 4% increased damage very rarely translate to 4% increased dps.
fair enough.
Does anyone know the difference on stats between the different skeletal minions summoned by the necro?
is there a way to see dialogue in the chat like in poe? I mean things live bosses voicelines in combat
is crit avoidance avoidance of the crit or avoidance of the extra damage from the crit vs a normal hit
The critical strike avoidance stat grants a chance to cause critical strikes to become normal hits instead. From the game guide.
It avoids the crit. The "reduced damage taken from crits" affix you can get on 2-handed weapons reduces the damage you take when you take a crit (so it caps at 50% which is equivalent to not taking any extra damage from the crit)
Nope
The build planner has it. https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/
does target farming exist? if yes, any good websites to see which mobs drop what?
cool, thanks
how about low level unique's? does every mob have a chance to drop everything?
What's the cap for stash tab prices? Or do they increase ad infinitum
There is no cap.
There is a cap because you can only buy 200 tabs.
I meant on pricing.
Yeah, the price continues to increase until you can't buy tabs anymore.
Does 'increased melee fire damage' apply to ignites dealt with melee hits?
Also, if I take points in "flame reave deals more fire damage", does that improve my ignite damage?
No
'cause ignites aren't melee
if it were "increased fire damage" then yes, it would
"flame reave deals more fire damage" would also help ignites from flame reave
Huh
Ty
Do cold-converted fire auras deal damage independently for the purposes of freeze?
I'm looking for these settings but idk if they are in the game:
-
Make the loot icons larger so they are easier to click
-
Make it so that I can see the craft tiers by default when I'm hovering an item
Am I not seeing them or are they not a thing
they aren't a thing #suggestions-and-like-to-see
Does required level on items interact with the tiers of their affixes?
Could an exalted item drop with a required level : 4 for example?
the 'no' was in response to your second question, the second statement was an answer to your first question :p
Yeah I figured, I was thinking about building a stash for leveling characters like in poe but it seems it won't work the same way in LE
i mean, you can, itll just have lower tier items
The required level to equip an item is the highest of the item base's level & the level as calculated from the affix tiers on the item. So if you got a lvl 60 white item & crafted 1 tier of an affix on it, it'd still require lvl 60 to equip
but that's because you can't craft above your character level (bugs notwithstanding).
The required level still exists if it's below your current character level, it's just not displayed
Nope, on all bases.
I don't get it, do you mean that an item required level is either the base's required level or the sum of the tiers?
I dropped a lvl 78 base item (Eber Head) at lvl 70 (ish). I can't craft on it because the level to use it is above my character level.
ok so, im not clear on what were actually debating here lol. even if you had a lvl 60 required base item, you still wouldnt be able to put 4 t5 affixes on it until you are level 70
Correct
oh yeah, of course, you obviously have to be the level required to use the item to be able to craft on it
i wasnt denying that, sorry if it seemed so
Yes, which ever is higher. Though the lvl requirement for tiers of affixes is a different calculation than just the sum of the tiers.
However they calculate it.
he was specifically talking about leveling gear so i was giving him the information i thought he was asking for
ur good llama, i know you know your shit, more than likely know more than i do about the game so far. so obviously your input is appreciated
Ah I get it now, I thought 4 tier 5 meant 20 required level lol
yep
that would be pretty op tho lol being able to use 4 t5 affixes at level 20
thats pretty much end game stats
that's my go to when it's late in the league and stuff is dirt chip in poe, though with Le crafting system I'm pretty sure you can make some really good gear deterministically for getting through the campaign
when is this man gonna get a job? all he does is play last epoch. smh
honestly the campaign is pretty self serving, as long as you know what affixes you're looking for
picking up items as you go you can just upgrade the affixes on a piece u find that has the stats u need as you level
is there a way to see the range of implicits that can be dropped?
yes
I think I saw mike say he could add something in pretty easily with multiplayer that tracks to see who gets a 4x exalted drop, that would be cool
that'd be super cool
Anyone here have a t23+ item thats actually good?
have a very good t22
t23+ with good mods is the kind of thing you would drop a figurative mirror on, and if your build relies on one your build is wrong.
Ye I figured I just wanted to see the big peen items
Realized its actually t17 but there isn't a suffix I would want on it anyway
weapon?
Isn't chill kinda OP, like a scuffed action speed reduction?
wow t7 crit multi on that base. Nice, did it roll with those implcits
Yup
Yeah lemme just go jam this in forge to add chill XD
at 61 instability. No way in heck I'm that silly.
Oh, so it does actually work like that. interesting. Very luxury but interesting, seems like chill would be better than slow which is what I usually see on staves as a 2nd suffix
Crit avoidance=immunity to the extra crit damage and not avoiding hits that critical strike yes?
It takes a hit that is a crit and makes it not crit.
No, crit avoidance converts the crit to a normal hit
reduced damage from crits does what you say
Thanks thats what I thought, someone in char was asking if it did the immunity thing and I thought that sounded dumb as hell
Just stack crit on monos=immune to all hits from 1 stat very balanced
yup
Also why less from crits stops at 50% and makes you feel sad inside.
Because it's a multiplier to the damage you take on a crit
since crit is x2, multiplying by 50% reduces it to a normal hit
I would argue that they should soft cap it at 100% damage, and let it work vs above 200% crit multi
Is anything above 100% avoidance a waste? I found this beauty yesterday but it seems to be kinda overkill ****
Yup
though it does mean that you only need another 28% crit avoidance
The blessing that offers crit avoidance only has slow on hit competing with it for my build But slow seems very underwhelming.
Thanks!
Can someone convince me ashen crown is worth using over this rare?
Ashen Crown saves you some skill points
depends on your build for that comparison
not every build benefits much from cooldown recovery
while some benefit a lot
the crit chance is nice though
I'm Ele nova lightning, I don't have that orian amulet so ashen crown seems understatted to me
The CDR=more teleports, more Flamewards
i mean you have two options if you'renot using ashen crown. You either dont cast at target, or you put points into nodes so you can instead
if either of those seem fine to you, in exchange for the cdr
then the cdr is better for you
if they dont, then it isnt
I mean, ashen crown is kind of required for lightning novas to work as intended unless you spend however many points it takes to get targeted novas
I never saw the appeal of targetted novas, since when I die its usually because I was stupid and not because I couldnt target something from far away.
But I havent tried targeted novas yet.
Maybe is op?
You can't see the appeal of not needing to be in melee?
being able to nuke stuff from a screen away is a large layer of defense
I guess its been hard to convince me its worth 3.5 affixes since the helmet without the ammy is basically all dead stats except t2 all stats. its prolly more or less required at higher corruptions than I'm currently ~200
It frees up 6 skill points though, that's worth 2-3 affix slots
poison lich or crit shadow cascade are two I'd put among those
i love crit shadow cascade
I mean...objectively werebear is just broken af and mindless to play
the full-life version requires very little in the way of gear to get going, basically just get the mace
and scales well with more gear investment
poison lich requires very little to get going at a decent level, scales well with gear, but isn't as mindless or tanky as werebear. bleed warpath is easy to play and relatively easy to gear, doesn't really require anything but has some great options out there for rarer items. nova boy is harder to gear and play imo. cascade really wants 2x smoke weaver, but can be difficult to get.
most, if not all, filters you will find from build guides will show all exalted items
jinx

if it doesn't then just make a show rule for exalteds and uniques and put it at the top
but it should
anyone know if the accolytes "Summon Volatile Zombie" node called "Shepherd of Thralls" will it cast my skeletons with the passives i have on it or is that another type of special skeleton ?
this for reference https://imgur.com/a/CTk4eHS
Skeleton vanguard is a special type of skeleton, uses a spear. You also can get them from bone curse and when abomination dies.
My impression is they tend to be fairly comparable with skeletons unless you heavily specialise into buffs in the skeleton tree.
the skeleton vanguard is better than a normal skeleton, slightly weaker than a buffed skeleton knight with a specialization. The vanguard are harder to maintain in the beginning but once they are going with enough minion health regen they hold up well in the beginning of MoF. Limit is 3
ah i see
Hey folks, a new rouge (bow) here... the flurry skills dps tooltip does not reflect added damage like bow dmg or bow fire dmg right? Will this bow dmg and bow fire dmg be reflected under basic attack’s dps tooltip?
Having a hard time calculating dmg here and testing at the dummy is abit difficult with other variables like crit, ignite and bleed
It does, why do you think it doesn't?
I equipped this as a white item then crafted bow fire and increased bow damage and checked my flurry tooltip DPS and it increased after each craft.
In this scenario yes, I don't see a reason not to.
is it safe to say it won't take into account crit, ignite, bleed, poison
it does account for crit
It certainly factors in crit I don't know enough about ailments to say otherwise.
how would it account for crit if it is a crit chance?
average crit chance * your crit multi
oh interesting
how about this, my 3rd attack is bleed
will it also factor in this bleed since it is a given?
I highly doubt it
or because bleed is a separate DOT itself
yeah makes sense
reason for my question is because i have picked up yellow bows with like 20% physical dmg and stuff but when i equip the dps tooltip figure drops instead
so i'm just trying to figure out if the tooltip disregards whatever is not part of the skill's base dmg
nah, it definitely accounts for all of the base damage
a 20% increased physical bow is probably not better than the 40 flat + attack speed on that
30 flat
rather
so looking at this unique bow, the +18 bow fire and +12 bow phy would be accounted for in the tooltip yeah?
yes
allow me to ask one more
ask as many as you want man nothing else is going on
for this ring that gives +100% crit chance to last flurry strike, is it also accounted for?
i'm just going to screenshot and ask all the things i wonder if it is accounted for
my assumption would be probably not, but idk
no doubt these are very low level gears, i just want to be able to read them correctly so i don't screw up with the mid game gears
and then there's this one, which applies to all 3 strikes
I would also say probably not as well but it's not a bad question to ask in #👨┃ask-the-devs-not-support-no-bugs or the dev stream tomorrow if you can make it.
would this be more clearcut and therefore yes? 😛
I would guess that item affix is accounted for
Same, just equip it and unequip it you can check for yourself.
for the most part, I would assume anything that always applies or applies a buff to your character's stats would apply
and anything that is conditional probably does not
good point
LOL
i also have this 22 poison dmg in my character summary which i don't know comes from where because none of my gears/idols/passives have poison
you always have a base poison chance
or not chance
but damage
which is 20 per stack iirc
ah no wonder
okok makes sense now
then i must have some + DOT% somewhere to bump it to 22
or just global increased damage
phew all cleared up
thanks guys
oh yes, is haste for movement speed or attack speed or both?
movement speed, does the description not appear when you press alt while hovering over the node? It's okay if you didn't know about alt but some skill nodes are missing the alt text for haste.
yeah no text showed up for smoke bomb
and the scaling is throwing attack so i couldn't guess which speed is that haste affecting
Yeah that is totally fair
thanks heaps
use boardman21's 1 to 75 primalist for leveling if you want
do the maps modifiers apply to quest echo boss fights?
Yes
can passives be respecced?
Yes, at the NPC with the brain icon.
@knotty hinge sweet cheers 👍
How does unbound garden and forested expanse interact?
Some maps modifiers do. The ones that affect only rares do not bosses
nvm
I realized that if I take 5 totem per cast on thorn totem passive then I can drop 5 healing totem and 5 thorn totem by relics.
what's spell crit?
oh didn't know rouge has spells
None of the skills are tagged as spells by default. Maybe you can spec into it but I don't know which ones.
Rogue had spells before. Now she has only one, included in a Unique bow (Reign of Winter)
Do echo rewards for boots or belts exist? I don't recall ever seeing them.
I think I've seen them
🤔 anyone know if Volatile zombies vomit( damage over time spell) would crit if you use dreadshade with the minions always crit node ?
or since its a dot spell it would never crit
I dont think DOT can crit
Is there any point in minions having more than 100% chance to poison?
probably
Yes! If your minions have 190% chance to apply poison they will always apply 1 stack and has 90% chance to apply second one
^ exactly that
awesome thanks!
mana regen is weird, have 12 but cant efficiently spam a spell that cost 14 with no cast speed
You have 12 per second, but the base cast rate of the spell that costs 14 is likely faster than once per second
hmm not really its abit of a longer cast time more like 1.5-2sec per cast
what spell are you casting that is that slow?
I'm pretty sure volatile zombies base cast speed is ~.75
maybe yes, lets see how i can acomplish nonstop spam of it
Mana regen should be able to cover spamming the normal skill no problem, spamming giant zombies takes a bit more effort, but can be done
yep seems possible, the mark on death node ads flat +10mana but even that seems doable if you get some mana regen and 5/5 on efficiency
too bad the -3 on wands doesnt help volatile zombie that would make it much easier
When selecting a quest echo from the mono, it says "contains an incomplete path". What does this mean?
some of the monoliths have two possible outcomes/choices, you've done one & need to rerun the monolith to be able to choose the other.
Which one is it?
So in the second quest echo you have a choice to make when you've cleared out the quest echo. Option 1 will unlock the lvl 80 monolith after you kill Lagon & option 2 will unlock the lvl 85 monolith after you kill Lagon.
Just like Fall of the Outcast where you had the option to unlock the lvl 60 or 65 monoliths after killing the Abomination.
Running them again allows you to select the other option to unlock the other monolith
It's the shortest route to get to the final 3 that allows you to unlock the empowered monoliths (lvl 100, 100 starting corruption, better blessings)
Lagon is down! easy
Yeah, generally unless you want one of the boss specific uniques from them it’s fine to skip the 60/70/80 timelines
Looking at the blessings, there is a blueish perimeter around them, what does it mean?
Its the power?
yeah
Yeah, just a visual indicator of how close to max the roll is
Hi guys, anyone knows why my Sabertooth spell dps is higher with the staff on the right than with the sceptre?
Is there any class that can wield Two 2-Handers?
No
Does melee damage apply to DoT's applied with melee hits?
Based on the wiki I would say it does not (" This damage is further modified by Increased Damage, Increased Physical Damage and Increased Damage Over Time") https://lastepoch.fandom.com/wiki/Bleed
Was aura of decay always poison damage?
It seems weird to me that it isn't necrotic since it's a Lich using it and all
Yes, it has always been poison
Acolyte's main damage types are necrotic, physical, and poison
Is there a way to check that you didn't miss any side quests?
would beastmaster class allow me to use two Summon spriggans or is the "+1 companion limit" just means an extra other minion
what am i not understanding? as you can see at the bottom im clearly above the amount needed for storm blade, at 38 to be exact.
seems like you're trying to remove a point that is required to hit the pre-req for storm blade (and potentially the rest of your points are beyond that point in the tree?)
hard to tell without seeing the tree itself
The green is the skill i was trying to respec. red is the skill that said it needed 20
i fixed it by just respeccing the whole tree lol
Yeah, in that config you've got 23 points ahead of the red node
so you can only respec 3 points from nodes that come before it before getting that error message
i...see, i think i get it. thank you
so like if this were your tree, you couldn't respec anything to the left of stormblade, because it requires at least 20 points in passives that come before it
whenever a class with 4 arms gets introduced possibly 👀
OHHH 20 points WITHOUT it okay i get it now
i didnt subtract the 5 i already had in it
Hello. I am new to the game. Can someone suggest me some newbie friendly class?
Hey, can anyone tell me if the earthquake aftershock is DoT only or does it hit?
Aftershock does hit unless you take upheaval node
Welcome! I'd say all classes are newbie-friendly. Depending on your playstyle, you might want to try Necromancer, Sorcerer or Paladin for example. For your first run, don't look for a build, do everything by yourself. The campaign is pretty easy and you will be able to go through. Then, it will be easy to respec.
Thx
hmm, anyone know if the summon spriggan healing aura make it so it heal itself ?
Would there be an option not to automatically bring up the map screen when nearing a waypoint?
If not maybe that could be a suggestion....
The option doesn't exist but I know it's annoying to fight mobs near a waypoint for that reason.
aye, my thought exactly
On lastepochtools when i'm looking at a skill there are both a cast delay and a cast time, if I want to calculate my cast speed do I only take into account the cast delay ?
I think you'd take the sum of both and apply your cast speed (including any from the skill tree). New cast delay+time = old cast delay+time / (1+ % cast speed)
I agree with llama's thinking. I would assume cast speed/delay are wind up/wind down animation times and both are affected by cast speed
When I channel a spell, Cast Speed has no influence? I can get rid of this affix?
does increased spell damage not work with aura of decay?
whats a good class/build that takes advantage of exsanguinous + last steps? I went and farmed it for my lich but then found out that death seal removes ward anyway (woops didn't read) and the node that stops health drain when it's active doesn't even work on those two items.
During my testing it was more inclined towards it being only the cast delay, but that was with sketchy methods of testing lol
correct
It does not, aura of decay deals no spell damage, it applies poisons to things.
some kind of mage, maybe? some people play EQ werebear as low life as well
I see, I should have thought of that when I saw that aod doesn't have the spell tag
OK, thanks!
how does this one work for example for a 60 mana cost spell ? also would healing effects like entangling roots heal work for healing and this node
new mana cost = old mana cost / (1 + mana efficiency %)
Yes, heals would work, just not health regen
allright
where can I check the rolls range of affixes? Trying to figure out what between vitality, health and %health would give me more hp in my build
Hi im trying to farm the last steps of the living boots do i need to do the lvl 70 or 100 version of blood, frost and death?
level 70 is enough for the boots
Does a blessing with +50% axes dropped mean that I will get more overall drops (with the extra drops being axes) or that I will drop the same amount of items but there will be more axes among them?
Hi, do you need bow physical damage for example if ur damage is all fire?
If you're using a skill that converts all bow damage to fire, yes
what if this one
How do some of you know very min max stuff? Can't think of an example right now but things that would have you look into the code itself or whatever
Like you @urban horizon or @balmy current
yeah, that converts all damage to lightning (or fire with the fire node)
ok thx
Nope, we just know stuff.
Lots of hours in the game.
yes, that counts as bow damage
or melee or throwing
if you're using skills with this tags
yeah but some of your advices sound like you have insight into the code or idk, sounds really but without an example i know
oh ok
tons of hours in the game, on the forum and this discord. talking with the devs, reading what the devs say, etc. it stacks up and at some point you end up knowing a thing or two.
what's a keyword I can use to highlight usable items? Looking at pages of unique while I'm leveling becomes confusing
Are there any solid builds that abuse the 50% damage to mana helm?
Does anyone know if the unique oracles amulet drops from a certain boss or is farmable besides gambling?
no way to target farm
just put in ridiculous hours and pray
or farm 28m gold and get it 50% of the time
56m if u want a 90% shot at it iirc
28m for gambling the oracles?
I think selling amulets and just playing
since ammies are worth the most per slot
Im not sure if its better to take the gold % blessing or the unique % one though
Is arena worth doing for gold? Or should I just sell the keys
apparently the increased ammy % blessing doesnt increase ur chances of getting the amulet, according to decs. Which makes no sense
Sell ur non gold keys 100%
Also I would gamble for the ammy last
Since its so incredibly rare u can gear out like 3 characters to hundreds of corruption in the time it takes to farm 28m gold
If you want exp yeah.
But if youre being a filthy minmaxxer you dont
Since the "real chase" is items
You can run them to get a benchmark for ur build.
🤔 so to scale ignite dot i mainly want to stack lots of ignites, then fire and minion / minion spell damage for the zombie vomit ?
@jaunty marlin thanks btw
No problem. Gambling the orians is a grind. I wonder if I could farm a hh from doctors 🤔 faster than an orians.
Can anyone help out a newbie figure out why the mace has lower tooltip dps here? is the increasd way worse affix than + void damage?
you must not have a lot of increased % is my guess
like from the tree? im still unsure what really affects warpath more here that one has 500dps and the mace 340
I'd say he has quite a bit of % increased such that the sword's much higher base damage is multiplied a lot more than the smaller base on the maul. For example, if he's a Void Knight then that's 75% increased melee void damage just from the mastery.
plus the sword has 40% void penetration which is akin to having an additional 40% more.
yup
oh thats nice
or it should do at least
@jaunty marlin depends on if you’re doing 100% delirious maps or not
hello... is there a comparison table somewhere that shows + 1 dex (for rouge) is similar/equivalent to + X physical dmg/bow dmg?
Oh I thought he was asking the opposite <.> Its just intuitive to me in this game to look at 2 weapons, compare flat damage and that 1 with higher flat is better 9/10 times
Also how is pen calculated into tooltip
Its not that direct. Flat gets multiplied by sum of your increases, and then all your mores get multiplied together and applied. After that crits happen. You need to try and balance things to maximize scaling.
+1 dex has different effects depending on the skill. If you press alt you can see it under the skill
i'm marksman so pretty much all attack skills will scale
just wondering if i should forge dex since it also adds dodge
versus forging pure dmg
whoops... will i never be able to get this reward? tried it the first time i was able to and died within a minute... just completed it but no reward 😦
Hi, when u shred an enemy, will the same attack take that into calculation or only on the next attack?
What is 'Ghost Solo'?
a dead hardcore solo character?
If I’m gambling for orians eye should I get the unique blessing?
I don't think the blessings impact gambling?
probably
don't forget the added damage effectiveness which can have quite a significant effect on how much you get from a single point of damage.
Anyone know if these two nodes synergize together ? my goal is laser focus to "leech mana" but tranqulity to reduce global cost of spells but tranqulity states it cancels mana regen
somehow my LE bugged out and which forces my pc to freeze and reboot for itself. after that i figured out that my loot filters cant be displayed in game although i have some filters in my filter folder. also every time i try to add a filter, whole loot filter UI bugs out and i have to close my game using alt+f4. any ideas?
Depends whether the mana from Laser focussed is coded as a mana gain on hit or mana regen (I'd assume the former otherwise it wouldn't work on a channel)
Create your own if downloading premade filters are not workin. Maybe that works
Start by removing all of your filters from that folder. Then access the filter UI.
i do use only selfmade filters.
O weird
After that you can add your filters one at a time back to the folder in order to figure out which one is causing the issue. Please DM me the filter as I have a hunch as to what is causing this.
sure
quicksilver coil, that is a unique silver ring, can that thing be gambled?
i went thru google and found some sites listing this ring and some dont, some say you can gamble some dont
was just curious
Yes, you can gamble it. The only things you can't gamble are uniques/sets with non-drop bases (such as Exsanguinous) & the boss-specific drops.
since i just started my first character i have no clue what you talk about, but thanks anyways 🙂
Last Epoch Item Database
That's an accurate site since it pulls the data from the game files (as does lastepoch.tunklab.com)
is there like a specific % chance of getting the right unique from gambler or is it just pure luck?
thank you sir!
juicy, thanks again sir! 🙂
can anyone help me i cant long into my account on steam when i do it says email and password but i never made an account on the website that means im going to lose everthing i know this can someone help at all
The best resource is knowing what can roll on what.
And knowing the formulas
My suggestion is going on planner and maximizing a build
are shards not in the lootfilter categories or am i blind lol
Like just knowing how damage is calculated.
For hits:
more mult = (100% + more mult 1) * (100% + more mult 2) ... * (100% + more mult n)
raw damage = (skill base + (added effectiveness * added flat)) * (100% + sum of all applicable increased damage mods) * more mult * (crit multiplier if you crit, otherwise 100%) * damage variance
resistance = min(75%, resistance stat - resist reductions)
effective resistance = resistance - penetration
damage taken = raw damage * (100% - armor reduction) * (100% - effective resistance)
The game has an in-game game guide (G).
Some bases are better yes, but for the majority of weapon types there are between 2 and 5 viable options at the top.
For Hungering Souls' gain mana on kill, do you still gain it if HS is cast by a Skeletal Mage?
No, skeletal mages don’t use your hungering souls tree
20% shred fire resist on hit or 55% fire dmg?
They cast hungering souls, but it isn’t your hungering souls to my knowledge, but their own version
I'll find out shortly - only a couple points away from getting that skill 🙂
mind you, they may not kill enough with it to matter since I'm also having them sacrifice wraiths (which is why i need mana)
Ah, I was using skele mages to sacrifice skeletons a while ago
That was quite good for mana
It's a pretty fun build so far. We'll see how it does
is armor shred chance capped at 100%?
No, you can go over 100% and apply multiple stacks at once.
oh ok
is there a good link to understand the defense mechanism?
i've got the rough idea to build 75% resistance for everything but would like to read more about health, armor, crit avoidance and endurance
I’m not sure if there’s any comprehensive single source on the defenses out there
Armor is another layer of % damage reduction, but is only 70% effective for non-physical damage and only works for hits.
Crit avoidance gives you a chance to turn critical hits into normal hits, at 100% avoidance you can no longer be crit.
Endurance gives you a % damage reduction while under a certain health threshold. By default, it’s a 20% reduction under 20% hp. You can scale the reduction with Endurance up to 60%, and increase the threshold by flat amounts via Endurance Threshold.
Health is just health. You get some per level, you get 10 per vitality, can scale it with sources of increased health
in that case, what figure would give 100% stun avoidance?
I'm sure this has already been talked about but don't you guys think that poison is op compared to other ailment ? As it reduces reseistances per stacks, so any build relying on applying lot of stacks could have a great source of more modifier compared to other ailments. This is maybe compensated by other things like skill tree nodes, etc.. I think I definetly don't see the full picture here
I do not believe there is any way to get 100% stun avoidance other than specific skills like warpath which make you stun immune. Otherwise, stun is just based on damage dealt vs your hp and then any stun modifiers an enemy might have.
The main balancing point is poison's low base damage, but even then poison is indeed very strong compared to the other damage-over-time ailments.
Bleed has some decent support on primalist and sentinel, though.
Are the inherent skill damage increases with attributes additive or multiplicative with other damage sources?
they are increased damage and therefore additive
Thanks!
Just to double check, 100% mana efficiency makes a skill free? (I know there are some situations in gaming where this would be more of an asymptotic stat)
no
it makes it half its cost
every 100% divides the mana cost by half
so if you start out with 100 mana cost
have 100% eff
it would go to 50
then another would go to 25
Wow that is unintuitive
then another to 12.5
thats how math in ARPGs usually is
otherwie you could make a 0 mana cost skill
ez pz
if i only deal fire dmg, is it considered elemental skill for this item?
so it's also not possible to have 100% stun yeah? 😛
Outside of skills that guarantee you a stun, correct. Stun is based off of the damage you deal vs enemy hp
would you be able to help me with this too
The skill needs to have a lightning, cold, fire, or elemental tag
this works then?
Yup
do i understand correctly that if i want to compare lets say intellect to % fire damage in terms of fire spells than 1 int is like 4% fire spell damage? this way i can kinda figure out what is better int or %dmg. 4 int is like 16% spell/school dmg and so on.
Correct int would be 4% generic damage assuming the skill has int scaling*
ye, thanks.
What is the correct formula to calculate the attack time of a skill? I suspect:
attacktime = skill_attacktime / (1. + sum inc speed) / (1 + more speed1) / (1 + more speed2) / ...
Is there any unscalable time component like an animation?
That's the formula I'd use (assuming "skill_attacktime" = Cast Time + Cast Delay from lastepochtools.com)
I think the only unscalable bit is if a skill is channelled, that will have a minimum channel time (eg, Shield Rush goes a minimum distance even if you just tap the skill).
I assume the minimum channel time is the skill's cast time from lastepochtools.com
Mh, I'm still usnure about this. I was happy with my Rive bleed dps simulations but for aspect of the shark stacking it gets crazy.
Also I don't know what I should take from the values on lastepochtools. From the devs I got the information that Rive hast attacktimes of 0.68182 * 0.75, 0.68182 * 0.75, 0.68182 * 0.93 for its individual hits. lastepochtools says: 0.2 + 0.75, 0.2 + 0.75, 0.05 + 0.7
I don't see how these different information translate into each other
Do you know who and how these data were extracted? Could they be misinterpreted? I found a combination of these values that reproduce my ingame testings in my simualtion.
It is intuitive with a shift in perspective.
A skill costs X juice to activate. By default 1 mana is worth 1 juice. Mana efficiency increases the juice value of your mana.
I forgot to look at that for you, my bad. I got sidetracked on the waking nightmare that is tempest strike's assortment of 500 different scaling tags.
Was jsut writing you a message with some information I concluded.
Gotcha
🤔 Death seal removes ward on use but how about after can you gain ward ?
You cannot
It's pulled from the game files, but it's possible that there are some other modifiers in the code that convert them to casts per second.
Studying a 2000% inc attackspeed 'aspect of the shark' stacking build I got the closest results using the following formula for the attack time of a skill (in this case Serpent Strike):
timeForAttack = castTime / 10 + 0.68182 * castDelay / (1 + sumOfIncSpeed) / ( 1 + moreSpeed1) / ( 1 + moreSpeed2) ...
Where castTimeand castDelayare the values from lastepochtools. and 0.68182 is the default attacktime some devs told us about multiple times.
does marrow thief activate when your minions kill enemies affliced by the curse?
If the mob is killed the the bone curse proc then I would imagine it would, if it's killed by the damage from the mob "before" the bone curse proc happens (ie, mob has 10 hp, minion hits for 100), then I'd assume no.
Yeah, that sounds reasonable (I'd forgotten about the 0.68182, despite having worked it out empirically myself #👨┃ask-the-devs-not-support-no-bugs message). I'm a bit surprised that the castTime isn't multiplied by the 0.68182 as well though.
I think I'll just "pull a Mike" & say that I'd forgotten about it (especially since I always think about it as 1/0.68182 attacks per second)...
is the bladedancer posion shuriken build from boardman actual endgame viable?
or should i try somethign esle with bladedancer?
Yes.
Does global increased poison damage affect minions?
Global as in "Increased poison damage" will not affect minions since it would have to be "increased Minion Poison Damage" or "increased minion damage over time"
For example if I get gloves with 20% Increase Melee attack speed will that bonus also apply to manifest armor? And since the node says 300% Gloves stats does that mean he will get 60% increase melee attack speed?
ok so the "global" just means all poison damage i do from various sources?
Yep
ok thanks
Not all unique affixes, but generally yes.
It's 300% increased so the Armour would get +80% increased melee attack speed
does anyone know when the 'reduced damage taken on block' suffix is taken into account? is it another 10% from blocking, so effectively just a bunch more block effectiveness. Or is it another seperate multiplier?
It's a separate modifier
Would the blessing that increases uniques help me with boss drops?
I do not believe so, no.
Boss drops for monoliths are guaranteed to drop 1. Then its a random roll to see which 1 it drops. There are normally a common and uncommon. So the increase to uniques does not help because its already guaranteed 1.
Certain items are also on a separate table
like Argentus can drop both one of the set items and the chest
I believe the empowered specific drop is generally separate
Yeah so he has 3 uniques on his table. His sword is the common and the wings of argentus are the rare. But you are guaranteed 1 of his uniques.
As I've got all of mine alongside one of the non-empowered drops as well
like my Argentus dropped sword + chest. Rahyeh dropped neck + gloves, etc
Spirits dropped neck + relic
Dragon dropped staff + offhand
Ahh yes I have had that too. So i wonder now if unique increase would help with like wings of argentus. Maybe the empowered only drops it might help with?
I don't think it has any effect
I am really a fan of the cold sorc on PD2 (project diablo 2) and have come to this game trying out the druid style class so far.. level 15 want to be sure I try all the types before I commit to one. Is there any teleporting classes in this game? Is there MF in this game or is it more similar to diablo 3 in loot style?
Pretty amazing so far from what I have dealt with level 1-15 on the class with the sabertooth and lots of regen/heals. He is pretty beefy but still got one shot by that lava puking boss! Fun so far hoping it gets harder end game which I am sure it will. Would like to have a good challenge and figure out what class to pursue on the first grind up to the end.
Acolyte has: Transplant (teleport) and Reap (in Reaper Form only, a short dash)
Sorcerer has: Teleport and Surge (spellblade only, a longer dash)
Sentinel has: Lunge (a long range targeted charge) Warpath (cyclone, move while attacking)
Rogue has: Shift (a mid length dash) Dancing Strikes (small steps in the direction of your attacks) Synchronized Strike (a short range dash in the direction of the attack)
Primalist has Fury Leap (a jump through the air) and Charge (in werebear only)
The only "magic find" available is via blessings from the monolith system. They increase the drop rate of specific item types (body armor, helmet, polearm, axe, etc)
Alright thank you very much for that information,
is there a trading community in this game? For items in particular?
The game currently has no multiplayer and thus no trade. There is trading planned once multiplayer comes out sometime this year, but we don't have the details on how it will work yet.
oh ok thank you
So another question I got boots have a higher chance to drop and I got the boots from the lich on the first go, would that blessing have any impact on boss uniques?
Also thanks for answering my many questions haha
As far as I know, blessings have no impact on boss drops
Got ya
Hello, just got the game tonight. Any tips for someone who wants to create a "lazy" build? I think I want either a necromancer or a beastmaster right?
archer/mage necro, eq werebear, warpath maybe
eq wearbear?
It's a druid werebear build that uses a unique mace to trigger earthquake everytime it uses charge
it's a one-button build that is super tanky
and does good damage
oh cool, I will look into that. How hard is it to try and find specific gear like that unique mace?
the mace is from a level 90 timeline, where it's an 85% drop off the boss. So if you can make it to that content you'll get it incredibly easily
I think you'd probably be in the mid level 70s or low 80s at that point?
excellent, now I have goals
it's the type of thing where up until you get the mace you can just play normal EQ or normal werebear or any other build you can make work on druid
and once you get the mace you just activate and go nuts
sounds great, thanks for the help!
I will probably try the necro eventually too. This game seems to offer a lot of variety
It's likely to be nerfed in the next big patch, so heads up on that. but yeah. Pretty sure we're looking at mid-late july or august for that?
Good to know, in early access like this changes like that should be expected
any general tips for a noob?
try to craft as you go along. Upgrading your weapon or finding a new weapon and putting more flat damage on it can be big. Fixing up your resists, getting some hp, etc.
Definitely don't save every crafting material you get for endgame or you'll probably feel a bit weak at some point, either due to low resists or low damage.
cool, I will keep an eye on crafting. Should resistances be a priority??
Definitely, if you find an item with an open suffix and have some resistance shards, slap em on it
cool, thanks again!
Can you get banned for cheats? I believe not cuz it's a singleplayer game for now but who knows?
People have definitely been banned for cheating
In steam it says
"Требуется дополнительная регистрация: Last Epoch (можно связать с аккаунтом Steam)"
That translates as
"Requires additional registration: Last Epoch (Can be linked with Steam account)"
How can I link the Steam account instead of registering a new one?
A Last Epoch account is required to play the game. Steam Users Those who buy Last Epoch through Steam or obtain a Steam key will be prompted to register a Last
Oh thanks!
Do you need special damage to inflict ailments? For example to ignite you need fire damage. Or you just can ignite with physical damage?
you can apply ailments with any damage type so long as you have the chance to apply them from somewhere
Interesting
skills generally have related ailment chance in their trees, though
like fireball has ignite chance in its tree, serpent strike has poison chance, etc.
lightning skills tend to have shock or spark nova nodes
the only ailment tied to damage type itself is freeze to my knowledge
as skills need a base freeze rate to freeze with
which only cold skills tend to have
Yeah, freeze is the only ailment that requires specific tags on a skill to work.
So, EQ aftershock cannot proc below the original eq? Or how does it work?
hello, may i ask, when determining bleed chance does bleed on hit % combine with bleed on bow hit % or are they separate bleed %
as long as ur using a skill that hits, with a bow, they should both count
i mean i know they will count both
but it is different to have 50% bleed chance and 30% bleed chance on bow hit concurrently vs having 80% bleed chance while using a bow
it should be 80% chance to bleed on hit, if ur using a bow, afaik
@knotty hinge would you know?
i understand what you're asking, i dont think it means you have a 30% chance to bleed and then a 50% chance to bleed separately.
Even if these are different pools and rolls it would result in the same average number of applied bleeds in the long run
like say if you have 50% chance to bleed on hit, then you also have 50% chance to bleed on bow hit, you will put one stack of bleed on per hit. never a 50% chance to put 2 bleed stacks on in one hit. as far as i know.
its all additive
granted the conditions
@balmy current can you shed some light on this?
Combine if the skill has bow tag
They are not separate rolls so even if you have 50% bleed chance and 50% bow bleed chance there won't be a time where you do 2 Stacks
so what i said is correct
Yup
ok thanks, i was 99% sure
ok...
but that makes the character summary harder to read as i have to remember i have additional bow hit % 😦
thanks guys
There is a lot of stuff missing in there or shown multiple times 😄
Guys when the coop features release?
Sometime this year is all we know.
Yeah, as FoE said, they're both the same stat (bleed chance) but one has a condition on it (on bow hit) that the other doesn't.
It's being reworked.
Aftershock is a secondary effect for the EQ skill. As far as I'm aware, when you use EQ, the game then rolls how many Aftershocks it will create & then spawns them sequentially (under mobs, I would assume). So if you used EQ on a boss with no other mobs in range, there's no reason why an Aftershock wouldn't be spawned in the same place.
Though I don't really get the question, why doesn't matter where Aftershocks are spawned?
AH. Ok. But it has to hit something before? Because when using EQ at town nothing happens
Yeah, no Aftershocks are spawned if there's no valid target in range
Thanks. Position was important to generate more hits on one target with aftershocks.
In fact, there needs to be an enemy in range for an aftershock to be spawned, not just the training dummy
Not sure whether EQ will only spawn aftershocks up to the number of mobs in range (ie, no more than 1 per mob) or not, since everything tends to die by then.
yep, like i said, i thought i was 99% sure, just needed confirmation. was trying to answer ap27s question.
ty for responding
any deterministic way to farm exanguinous ?
Not really. I think there are some rumors that it has higher chance to drop on lower levels because it is on a lower base type but nothing more as fas as I know
yea, that was my idea farm a lvl 23 zone lol
Does the Primalist Berserker work like Endurance? Will it reduce the damage I take partially when my life is reduced from more than 35%% to less?
yes that node is like endurance, less dmg taken at less than a threshold, which in this case is less than 35%
I've read on a reddit post that characters and stash are stored locally, I'm about to change pc, what's the specific folder/file that I need to carry over?
C:\Users\Makatiel\AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch\Saves
is it possible to change username? the one which is displayed at my account at lastepoch.com and the one which is displayed in game and chat.

which resistance is the least important?
poison
poison
void damage is purple, necrotic is teal. Poison is a darker green & most of the time it's in the form of pools on the floor, hence easier to avoid standing in.
yup
Any new player tips/guides/builds anyone recommends?
yesterday i could move as I wanted with my controller, today somehow the movement was "A" button and now I cannot make my character move with the thumbstick
any idea how to repair this issue?
any clever way to make dreadshade hurts minions less ? the everlasting poison is better but still he is dead in about 40 seconds
hello! my minions have a chance to bleed on hit. I don't see how to add to bleed damage. Would it be intelligence as a scaling stat, or minion physical damage?
or is there a minion 'damage over time'
ooh never mind I just found it under minion stats, it is damage over time :)
Is there another way to autocast without a numpad? I have a 60% keyboard so I cant. Is it very necessary?
nah. devs want to even make it so that autocasting would be worse than using it normally.
Is there anywhere I can read them saying that or any plans for it? Im on the edge of refunding because I feel like Im automatically at a disadvantage with the game if these build guides are constantly telling me to autocast. 10 minutes into the guide and 2 of 4 skills hes using are on auto cast
i just remember seeing some "autocast guides" on youtube and devs mentioning it here on discord that they dislike the passive playstyle so they try to come up with a way to discourage autocasting instead of using skills on your own.
Can you not jsut create a AHK script which holds the button of the skill down? Doesn't this yield the same result? Not sure about it. Never tried.
you dont need to autocast to enjoy the game
Heard that was against tos
They definitely told that they want autocast to be not worth it. In the dev stream.
Yeah idek why thats fun? I see builds were people are just playing walking simulator into enemies
we have aura of decay for that.
They should just find a way to get rid of it or add it as an actual feature tho i dont think itd be fun so probably the former
but yeah. never used autocasting so i really dont see a point in refunding because of that.
Well thats good to know
anyone can confirm if these two work together ? so as the enemy life goes down the buffs go up https://imgur.com/a/nC122Ah
I just dont want to feel at a disadvantage, idk
Would like that they increase CDs of relevant skills to be way higher than the uptime. Providing a talent which than turns it into an aura with less effect
Often autocasting just gives a small advantage. Could use most skills like flask-smashing in PoE with a little lower uptime xD
or make some invisible stacking debuff that makes the support skills weaker, refreshes duration with new stacks and it has like 0,1sec longer duration than the skills CD. that way if it's spammed or autocasted it gets weaker.
I hate flasks lol but i would rather keep them up myself but if it isnt the most optimal way it just feels weird idk. Just hope they get rid of it especially once mp hits
Yeah. I dislike it too. But the game is still better for your hands than PoE. Ever played a warcry build? 😄
Also there are builds which dont utilize autocasting and/or have ways to reach similar results when using other skill combos. Build are often only a general idea and you can tweak them as you like 😉
Definitely think it's still worth a try but that really through me off so Im going to have to think about it. I tried to get into POE but that game hates new players and if you are fairly new to arpgs, forget it
Compared to PoE the entry level here is rather low. But I like it for a change. You can easily try a lot, although some builds are still locked behind a grind but this is necessary, I think.
If you have a general understanding of more/increase multipliers and damage calculation you can easily build your own build. Although variety isn't that big compared to PoE and thus it's rather likely that someone played such a build before 😄
Started with Paladin, disliked Warpath because of PoE history and found Rive really cool to play. Build it as a bleed enemy gathering build and was a lot of fun!
Didnt even required autocasting. Just pressing sigils of hope every 4 seconds, using movement skill and holding attack button
I wanted to try that shaman avalanche build then I saw a video where literally all skills were just being autocast
Yeah. people really like their movement simulators 😄
I guess lol
I need a build which at least requires some buttons to press^^
It just would seem boring to do nothing but walk
just do shaman avalanche without autocasting
people are waaaay too into autocasting in this game tbh
theres a significant amount more that you dont autocast, than you do
so just ignore it when you see it, if you've got no interest in it
honestly my recommendation would just be: level a primalist, pick shaman, pick avalanche when you have enough passives for it, have fun
just ignore the guides, they're good as a guide but i really wouldnt follow them to the letter or anything. Just look at what skills they use together, what nodes they're using for what reasons
but outside of that you'll have significantly more fun in this game if you do what feels good for you
Hi, I found an "increased minion damage shard" but I when I try to apply it, it doesn't show up as "available to be applied" on any of the armor pieces it says it can be applied to, am I missing something?
It says it can be applied to rings for example but I can't apply it to this ring
Can you go to your inventory and click on view materials to show us the shard you're talking about?
Strange, it isn't in "view materials" but here it is in my inv:
click that transfer crafting items button and craft your ring
Oh, that worked. Where does it "transfer" the crafting items to?
I see, thanks for the help! That makes sense
The Forge is also a bag of holding for crafting mats but they need to be in the bag vs your inventory for the forge to see them.
That's a good idea, is it shared among my characters?
As long as they aren't Solo, and it's not shared between SC & HC
can all affixes be dropped or obtained from echo rewards? Or are there some that are fracture only?
What does the game actually consider "low life?" 35%?
You'll obtain the majority of your rare affix shards by shattering items which contain them.
is leeching affected by healing effectiveness?
No. Healing effectiveness only applies to effects from skills that are specifically a "heal"
So it doesn't do anything for leech, hp regen, hp on hit, etc.
the skill says heal on crit instead of health on crit though
How do spells with two damage types work? Disintegrate for example is fire and lightning. If I had +10 damage to fire spells, would it get +5 or +10? Same question for +% element, I would infer that the effectiveness is cut in half, but I haven't found anything that confirms anything.
It gets the full +10. increased/more damage for a specific element only scales damage of that particular element, so you're correct that it would only scale half the damage for a skill that has a 50/50 damage type split.
Solid, thanks.
Is there a good source of info about minions for noobs? Like what if any of my stats/modifiers transfer to them, etc?
in most cases only stats that specify minions apply to minions
Also the attribute that scales them
otherwise your attributes will scale them as their tooltips say
ok, that makes it easier. Thanks
the only times your stats apply to minions I believe are skill-specific nodes that allow certain stats from you to apply to them
like ballista
And manifest armor
yeah, was trying to remember the name of the skill lol... was like...animate guardian? animate armor? forge something?
What about other skills and items, for example this wand gives +27% cold damage, does that affect Maelstrom or just my melee attacks?
It will affect everything that has cold tag ( not minions)
Oh, that's what the "scaling tags" are on the skill?
So if it did +x% lightning damage it would affect Crowstorm then?
Normal lightning % would only affect crowstorm if you take the node that allows your crows to gain your lightning damage %
But even without the node minion lightning damage would scale it
And something like increased minion damage affix is global so it counts as all types.
increased cold damage doesn't even need the cold tag right, just for the skill to deal some amount of cold damage
Oh, gotcha. If I had Fulminating Caw all lightning damage and minion lighting damage and minion damage affects them, without that skill node just minion lighting damage and minion damage affect them
Yup doesn't need tag as long as you have flat cold
Correct
Thanks. It makes sense
Does Orobyss just spawn randomly if you keep doing echoes or do I have to do something specific to spawn it?
You fight shade of Orobyss if you choose "reset web" node
Awesome, thanks
the echo reward "rare shields" is that specifically rarity rare or uniques/set shields included
?
ah ok
im heading to the store, anyone need anything?
Yup, I could do with a pair of 3090s & 4x 4k monitors.
Coffee! Thanks
ok i got u guys, you wanna pick it up or have it delivered?
delivery ideally.
:p
oh btw beast master is really interesting and fun, played it over the weekend for the tourney, that passive tree is top notch
It is! Although I'm currently only using one skill (Warcry) and no minions with it 😄
I could use a 3090 and a Ryzen 9 as well xD
yeah swipe can get pretty ridiculous as a beast master
sheesh. asking for much guys? atleast i'm not asking for impossible. all i need is a box of juice and colder climate.
its currently 58 degrees fahrenheit here, and i got a juice box in the fridge for ya
:p
no idea what that translates to in celcius. 🤣
Maybe 34°C
something between 14 and 15. that would be amazing.
rn suffering with 27c(81f) temps. x__x
Here is 35°C in Thessaloniki xD
I'm stacking aspect of the shark alongside EQ specced fully into aftershock. Thorn totems on hit to trigger aftershocks even on single enemy fights. Swipe in between. The EQ aftershock clear is so much better than swipe.
Aspect of the shark provides all increases you need. Flat damage on gear, some attack speed to get it started easier (shark stacking, inc duation and effect offcourse). Aftershock and Swipe habe so much more multiplier which sometimes are conditional but easy to trigger!
@calm wing i'd be just a puddle with that weather. x__x
Greek Summer is like that,i got used to xD
@calm wing yeah no. i'm from finland. i'll never get used to the heat. i'm not built to stand it. 🤣
Oh,wrong channel here
You have any recordings of that? I’ve been playing self cast eq Druid but would be interested in seeing your take
Not yet. Considered making a guide/post in the forum later because I found nothing EQ related on beastmaster there. But my gear is still very sub optimal, blessings missing etc. Tried alot with different skills and I think I now found my final setup. Currently at around 140 corruption. But it rips the game performance even though my CPU and GPU are below 80%....
I could share on discord if you are interested. Shade and monolith of fire bosses ready.
I’m on my phone atm so not right now at least. Mostly just interested in seeing what a monolith echo looks like
that sounds pretty cool, i might check it out
Just contact me later when you want to see some gameplay

Very simple question to help me plan a build: Do Shatter Strike's recasts with the Whiteout specialization node cost mana?
No
Thanks!
Does Axe Thrower:
works with this node:
or i need to use throwing attack manually?
does the alt tooltip specify anything more?
im thinking about buying this game just wondering what people think about it and how the end game is ?
Have you played any other games in the genre?
"Wraiths have 30% more critical strike chance per point (multiplicative with other modifiers)." does this mean that at 3/3 they have 90% crit chance or is it some weird formula ?

No. They have 5% base crit chance (like everything else) which is then modified by any % increased minion crit chance, then that node modifies the result.
is there anywhere for build help? im playing poison lich and I just cannot kill orobyss
what are you mostly having trouble with?
part of it is that I'm coming from P-th of E-ile so I cant super tell if my boss damage is good or not
Poison lich in general has very good boss damage
it's taking a while to kill the bosses
hmmm
could you upload your character to the build planner?
Build Planner that allows to customize any aspect of Last Epoch character build including equipment, passives and skills
yeah
im not max level or anything, im 69, but since this is my first real character I just dont really know the pace I should be on
I get you
can I copy-paste items or does it have to be manual?
on the upper left side there's like an upward arrow icon
clicking that will bring up the dialogue to import your character
after you've got the character imported, there's the three connected dots icon which gives the shareable link
monkaS my saves are nowhere to be found
open your Filebrowser, press ctrl + L, enter %APPDATA% ; go one folder up and navigate to the location: LocalLow/Eleventh Hour Games/Last Epoch/Saves
If I want to farm a Monolith boss, do I need to reset the web (and increase corruption) once I run out of nodes to run?
you are a god
You will eventually need to reset the web, yes
if you're looking to farm a timeline long term, it's better to reset sooner, rather than clearing the full web
Build Planner that allows to customize any aspect of Last Epoch character build including equipment, passives and skills
as corruption increases stability gained
How much harder does a boss get with increased corruption?
most of the difficulty is the mods
each point of corruption is a relatively small increase
the bosses are still easiest part imo
since by the time you do the quest echoes you'll have removed most of your affixes
So basically just don’t stack a bunch of long last damage mods or whatever and the boss should be fine
yeah
damage mods in general are the most dangerous as you get higher in corruption
Am I correct in thinking the ones that say “rare enemies have <blah blah>” don’t apply to bosses?
correct
Sweet thanks guys!!!
Just gonna list things as I notice them:
- poison chance suffix on your weapon ASAP
- Your passives are a bit scuffed.
- You don't need Infectious Dead in Wandering Spirits
- You should drop the global damage in Translant for the 20% cull.
- If you fix your passives and get Soul Maw in Lich you can drop Aura of Decay/healing effectiveness gear entirely
- You can drop Rip Blood for Spirit Plague and do significantly more single target damage.
ty ty, do you know any good poison lich build guides? the one im using is from epoch build but from a bit ago
He actually put out a new poison lich guide just the other day

oh sick, I'll check it out and update my stuff
some small notes from the video: if you don't have Wings of Argentus, use the Stymied Fate boots and drop the Siphon of Anguish ring. If you're not running Plaguebearer, you can drop the points in Crimson Gluttony.
Hey people i have a question. Just got wing guards and i am playing a fire based warpath paladin. The question is is it worth it losing crit for a fire based type character like this?
They're only worth using if you're ailment-focused
if you're scaling hit damage then going crit will be better
thing is im just picking all fire based skills from my trees. not sure how good that is lol
basicly the bottom talents from warpath. top ones from holy aura
If you're mostly using fire-based hits like flame burst and whatnot
you're almost certainly better off with crits then
alright then ill probably not use them then hehe
i am using sunwereath and calamity. found them by chance and they seemed to be good
wish i could show my build i have right now for some pointers. is there a tool for that?
Last Epoch tools
thanks! https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/1oR4qyQz If anyone could help out with some tips on if im going the right way with this build or should i change anything?
Build Planner that allows to customize any aspect of Last Epoch character build including equipment, passives and skills
also strange how helmet is not unique
Now that i think about it those gloves and the 50% attack speed is so good when procing the axe throw/flame burst/divine bolt...
@rocky pivot Btw, if you want to keep rip blood, change the poison nodes you took to the node that makes it recast on kills, that with blood splatter will do a lot of damage. Then youd also want to just stat for phys damage, or necrotic if you convert rip blood as well.
Much better to just reiterate what you're playing with, than completely change fora guide
lol
Are arenas worth it for gear? Or are they there for xp/gold mainly?
Not worth it for gear
Do minion kills trigger health on kill shards?
oof too late
new guide is doing much better tho tbh
is the lastepoch tools website accurate on gambles ? down to 3 million gold for a common unique lol
2"
if i have 60% armor shred on gloves and 40% armor shred on boots, does it mean i armor shred 1 stack on each attack?
yes
woohoo thanks
if i have leech on bow dmg:
- will i leech from bow phy dmg? (i presume yes)
- will i leech from phy dmg when i use my bow? (i presume no)
Does Shadows triggers the counter for Lethal Cadence (Every third melee, throwing, or bow attack deals increased damage.) ?
Anyone tried the Primalist Warcry interaction of Apprehend (pull instead of knockback) and Jormun's Wrath (no knockback)? My question is: Does it still pull this way?
i assume warcry would no longer pull, because apprehend says now pulls instead of knockback, so if no knockback there will be no pull. i havent tested personally though
Is increased effect for dots a more multiplier? (for example increased bleed effect)
I did test it & the pull feels very short ranged even without the Jormun's Wrath node.
yes
thanks!
it's a separate modifier which makes it equivalent to "more"
awesome, thanks for confirming 😄
llama you tested it with jormuns wrath too?
yup
jormuns removed knockback though
even without Jormun's Wrath I can barely see the pull
yeah with 2 points in knockback distance it felt like almost nothing with apprehend spec'd
without jormuns
im gonna test
I recognized the pull without jormun, but not with it.
ok i was wrong
i maxed out the knockback distance with those 2 nodes spec'd and it does indeed still pull
Mh, k. Ty for trying!
Does the multishot’s increase cone width node actually do much? Considering you can spread based on mouse positioning
Good afternoon, i am thinking of migrating solo SC char, how do i get my craft shards out from the forge?
since i think i wanna take few with me
I don’t believe there is a good way to transfer shards currently.
You can get out shards one by one from the forge and put them into your inventory, by putting them in their slot first
so put item up first
idk the forge window isnt letting me drag anything out of it
i feel like like i am dumb
meh not gonna bother
Does intelligence increase spell damage and ailments (like poison)? I add 1 Int and my character sheets "Spell Damage" didnt change
Check the skill and see what tags it has
Pressing alt on the tooltip should show how much stats affect it
It's a skill specific bonus so it's never going to show up on the character sheet.
Ahh ok yeah so this was my question. So it wont give a global poison damage increase, just if the skill has applies poison
like some weapons do poison on hit
Yes
those are global modifiers though.
can u play whit friends like in the diblo ?
We'll be releasing multiplayer in 2021. Here's some more info: https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/patch-0-9-and-multiplayer-are-coming-next-year/27563.
I got an item that is +10 ward/sec. It caps at 29. what determines that cap? Can it be raised?
I've completed all the timelines, how do I unlock empowered ones?
The island in between the level 90 monoliths has a crystal thing
gotta click it to empower
I see, thaks
Ward retention. Each point of Intelligence grants 4% ward retention. It can also be found on items.
Thank you!
So I have an intel of 9 which is "4%" ward retention and I can retain 29 ward... 4% of what?
oh I see
the formula is under additional defenses
9 x 4% ward retention. It's in a big-arse formula.
🤨
I am getting 4% from intel and my overall ward retention is 36%... I am not sure where the rest of it is coming from
you are getting 4% per point of intel.
4% x 9 = 36%
oh...duh...
What are the current “broken” builds?
Review the top 10 in ladder
Sorry for being a newb - where do I find ladder?
Press L
Oh lol thanks!
Do note that these are builds which are practically guaranteed to be changed. Not just a nerf but in some cases a total rework.
Yep! I wanna help balance them and provide my feedback
I don't want to discourage you but it's apparent in most cases. I'd proceed with caution because going from a build which clears content with 1 button to a normal build will be quite jarring.
Especially if you've never played this game before.
I played months ago, and I play a lot of hack n slash arpgs. Currently playing a rogue, I have yet to see a 1-shot build
Gotcha
I dislike cheese, and 1-shots are cheesy lol. So I want to help the devs get rid of any cheese that they don’t want in the game ha
I don't think using that build accomplishes what you're suggesting as much as you think it might.
I see a lot of complaints about difficulty in game chat by people who are using broken builds like EQ werebear(as they claim) and it’s kind of discouraging 😓
Look you are coming from an honest place and you want to help, I don't want to discourage you but they are aware of how broken it is.
Yeah, if you want to help them blance/fix broken interactions and stuff, dont look at what people are already using
find new stuff
How do the Masochist effects(+dmg taken, -dmg dealt) interact with Mono modifiers and Corruption? Are they multiplicative or is it like having an extra echo modifier?
What’s the deal with minion stance? How do I change it?
You don't because minion stances haven't been implemented yet.
Thank you!
how many chapters there is, 8?
currently, yes
ok
i barely beat hte h something boss so been doing low lvl (55) echo things at end of time to get lvls so i can rush thru
so far i am really enjoying the echo stuff
what does the corruption number do?
