i just dont know.. im in sooo big doubts rn... i see VK autobomber but ive never play it so im scared to waste time on releveling warlock later
warlock torment im 100% sure gonna be smooth leaguestart
I have been playing LE for a bit now. The Looting seems unresponsive. I think I have read something about looting in 1.2: Would that address this issue?
and possibly spec later into infernal shade warlock which has better damage potentials
or.. idk maybe torment will be good enough so ill keep warlock as torment
Find a T7 crit multiplier wand to slam your lost soul
well, no point right now for that, as new season is about to start in 3 days
They increased the pickup radius and the char stops after picking up an item you clicked, which may make it feel more responsive.
Season 2 char(fresh start) is posibble in offline?
@storm wrenbtw how was the build using rip blood direct casts, bone curse? from maxroll
they seem to replace spirit plague due to nerf
Ah nice. This might help. It seems like it takes a second to start looting at all though so it might be a different issue. (Ping is low)
Oh ok
Is it possible to disable some skill effects?
Yes. Offline has all of the same content. With the exceptions that: 1. Merchant's Guild item faction is really only helpful if you play online so instead join Circle of Fortune item faction. 2. that the MTX cosmetic items only work online (unless they changed that and I'm not aware of it). 3. leaderboards are online only.
Is there any reason why a first clear should continue campaigning vs stopping at 7
been theorycrafting lately, which class is better suited for bonk gameplay? you know, big hits and minimal button pressing
i feel a bit uncomfortable with the VK since i dont really fancy the abilities and synergies - esp with time rot and multiple buttons
any other class that can go with that kinda gameplay?
No
Sentinel and primalist are the prime bonkers
Keyless/wants the +1 to all stats for some reason/ no item faction unlock
If it's your first time playing, maybe you want to see those remaining chapters. But otherwise, no, you can go directly into end game whenever you want and feel comfortable there. First season I went to chapter 7 then monoliths.
Last season I went to chapter 5, got the Temporal Sanctum dungeon waypoint, and then went into monoliths. Both I then later used the dungeon exit to get into chapter 9 for the item factions.
any specific mastery that excels?
Beastmaster, and technically all 3 sentinels
Is there still a place to find a market loot filter for LE?
0
Noob question:
Some uniques like for example Wrongwarp (https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAzCcGYEZiA)
It says there's a 1/79 to get it as a unique reward in particular nodes of a specific timeline.
Is there any way to boost this chance? Maybe there's multiple uniques as rewards in higher corruption or something? or empowered?
Or CoF?
in 1.2 there's gonna be some nodes in the weaver tree
Other than “rolling the table more often” nothing currently helps
that let you slot in wrongwarp so more of that specific item drops
1.2 gives you a few options
But it only helps if you already have a copy of it
(Also, always farm in empowered if possible. Area level is the main contributor to rarity)
hm
what build would you guys recommend that involve stacking some weird stat?
You can use a VK build with less button presses if you want. For example you can automate Devouring Orb and Symbols of Hope casts automatically. So you're just re-casting Anomaly when it wears off and using your main attack, such as Erasing Strike or Warpath. For Warpath you can also automate Abyssal Echoes. For Erasing Strike you may want a third skill you cast.
Thanks for the info mate, maybe my start will be in MG and then roll a second character for CoF
😄
Rogues have a habit of stacking dex for some of their setups. Warlock has the same habit of stacking necrotic res
With the upcoming patch Heartseeker has a node for cold resist stacking as well, which is pretty strange
Technically will also exist in acid flask
adding to other answers, there is the bonk hammer style which can fit many builds, I personally don't like it but it can be quite broken
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAf312jlTG0
Good day,
Have EHG announce Server maintenance date + duration?
24 hrs before patch
servers go down
that does sound interesting
hm actually
theres probably a funny strength stacking runemaster
with Fundamental Criterion and Cleaver Solution
so whole day of April 16th eh... Got it, Time zone difference but at least I know that on April 16th i can't play.
and luckily April 17th till April 19th is a national holiday here in our country
I know what my plans are. haha
Hello, I have a problem with the filter. When I open the window and try to select it, I get that white line and then it won't let me close the window and I have to force close it.
Double check your filter files, they might be corrupted
when is the key trader unlocked? early monos or campaign?
do you have to be a runemaster to do the modular rune spells?
Campaign, when you reach Maj'Elka - https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/quality-of-life-dungeon-other-improvements-coming-to-last-epoch-april-17th/75217#dungeon-key-charms-and-vendor-5
If there was any corrupt file, thank you
Yes, it’s their mastery exclusive skill.
Can I increase crit for minions?
I see. Ty
I'm amaze how lastepochtools site planner has weaver tree and weaver item + idol info already. Damn
All damage from Torment warlock is come from two skills, chthonic fissure and profane veil. Bone curse and rip blood as part of chthonic fissure, low damage only.
Dammitt gets a bunch of stuff from the devs to help with LETools iirc
Do i have to play a new fresh season character to play the new end game content? I have a char that just finished the campaign so actually dont want to re run thru it again.
no
if you just wanna experience many of the new stuff by continuing your "current" char.
It will get transfered to Legacy
Guys, how does a Rune of Ascendancy works? I mean, the details on it. Does the item level changes the possible outcomes? Or is it trully random? Can it turn into boss uniques?
you can only get a unique on the weapon type you using ascendance on. doesn't matter if it normal, rare or purple rarity
Normal scepter > get a Unique Scepter
Random based on general item type. Some items are rarer than others though. It does not do boss only drops. You can get a general idea here https://lastepoch.tunklab.com/roa-chance
Item level doesn't matter.
If you're not sure if an item is a random drop or a boss only drop, you can look the item up here https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/ and look down at the bottom in the Obtained section. Couple random examples:
Thank you
Welcome!
how do dungeon keys drop
Commonly from boss kills
can u expect any on first character before act 7?
totally
i got my first like key for Lightless Arbor when i was like in killing the Void corrupted Emperor
We don't have act10 yet
You can if you're lucky enough, the emperor doesn't always drop a key.
totally too... especially if u get like Temporal Sanctum key to skip "THE BULLY"
If you don't get any during the campaign, you'll get quite a few once you start doing monoliths. After the first character I ever made, I've been using the Temporal Sanctum dungeon exit to get into chapter 9 and I haven't had any problem getting keys to do that in any of the previous seasons.
guys I am pretty new to last epoch and I am messing up with the skill tree, what is the consensus, is usually better to invest on stats like dexterity or resistances?
it is advisable to get RES to cap (75%) once u hitting Mono
and Stat stacking depends on your build
I am planning on going bows with marksmen
Does S2 means no access to items in stash? So we start fresh fresh?
OHH like many high DEX benefits highly for the recurve chance for Heartseeker Markman
but still i would advise getting RES Cap.
If you have a "CURRENT" character, the said character will go to Legacy so if u don't wanna start over just continue in Legacy
If you play in cycle, yes.
but yes, Season 2 in CYCLE means FRESH start
Dex is a prefix, res are suffix. I don't get the question ^^
So why would people do a new cycle ? Just for flex?
Leaderboards, fun of fresh start, MG economy reset
It's really whatever you prefer. I personally like to make new character and completely start over.
If you don't like the idea of that, you can play in Legacy game mode instead. They have the same content.
Just starting over in season is a fresh economy, new leaderboards, etc
Are the values and calculations in lastepochtools already considered "correct", even before the patch is out? Because if so I already found a bug while theorycrafting
The latter isn't surprising, there's a few around. Report it to Damnit
But if you play with that solo farm faction u dont need economy
Some people would still like a reset, but otherwise yes there's no reason to.
lots of reasons to start over on season. in arpgs, not everyone has the same reason, and some just wanna play legacy. all are valid, no need for flexing
not to mention not everyone has the same playtime or time to commit to the game
that would be one reason, yes
There's a bug report section in Damnit's discord. I'll try to link it here, but discord links may not be allowed. If the link doesn't show up, there's a link on the site as well
All good, I will find my way there
Yeah it's blocked to send discord invites here
put it in #💽┃server-share
I think usually in poe u had extra stuff for playing a new season but i guess LE is more friendly about it
Understandably so
Thank you
ty!!
I just wanted to have fun and play casually, while speeding the campaign and having no items as a mage sounds no fun
Il see wat my friend will want
Thnx
Any cool leveling loot filters i can grab?
That worked
If you'd like to look at some guides on making filters, there's some basic general filters on the forums https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/1-1-heavyz-casual-loot-filters-for-all-classes-v4-1/25176. Which also includes some info on making a filter. There's also additional info on making filters on Maxroll https://maxroll.gg/last-epoch/resources/loot-filter-guide and the Maxroll build guides have filters for each build on the last page of the build guides. LE Tools also has some filters and a filter making tool https://www.lastepochtools.com/loot-filters/
i just wanna copy pasta a leveling one
Ok the first link has some general ones. And on Maxroll if you pull up one of their leveling guides they each have filters at the end of the guides
It's a good idea to sometime look into how filters work in general, so you can make adjustments if it's not doing what you want. But you can also that later
yeah i looked at one it was kinda weird they put me on a github page
i guess I just copy path the title there
Example for Maxroll. It copies on you can add in game using the paste from clipboard option
doesnt LE have a in game loot filter already?
Loot filters are saved as a text file.
If you're linked to an .xml file you can either copy and paste the file contents with the paste from clipboard option. Or you can download the file and move it
It does. You can make your own or import one. Press Shift + F to bring it up in game
will my current items with critical strike avoidance turn into the hybrid affix with dodge or will old items stay the same after the patch?
ah il just test in game to see if i do it right
I just typed up my bug report while searching for the "bug" itself...the first mention is more than half a year old and apparently it is already on the to-do list
Easiest thing to do open the text document, Crtl + A to select all, and then Ctrl + C to copy. Then in game Shift + F to open filters, select make new and paste from clipboard.
I think that's quicker than downloading the file and moving it into the filter folder.
Damnit does fix bugs on there when he gets a chance. I've reported a couple in the past that have gotten corrected
Quick question folks: for stats like “increased melee cold damage”, does that ever apply to things without the ‘melee’ scaling tag?
I’m looking specifically at the runemaster’s “swirling frost” invocation. It’s a DoT Aura, but on the skill description in last epoch tools, it says “melee attack” and then gives its base damage as 40 cold, effectiveness 200%, etc.
So let’s say I had 200% increased melee cold damage from somewhere - would it apply to that invocation? Or would it have to have the “melee” scaling tag for that to be true?
Edit: looks like the melee portion is the damage explosion that precedes the aura - but the question stands. Would that explosion benefit?
Hmm I'm not sure about that one. If you wanted to test it:
There are training dummies in Champion's Rest, Divine Era, West of Heoborea. You don't need an Arena key, but if you have one, you can right click on it to have the map zoom straight there.
You could try it with and without that melee cold damage equipped
Makes sense. I don’t have a character in a position to test that, just doing some theory crafting for next season, so it might remain a mystery in the near future haha. Thanks though!
Yes they'll turn
I can comfortably do around 400-450 Corruption with my build currently, is that a fairly solid place to stay and farm for a while? Is that a good return on time corruption level?
hey is frostbite affected by spell damage? or is it just like elemental/cold modifiers?
no
tyty
request to add dlc to last epoch offline mode
Go to #1210282176680169562.
Last I check they just can't do it in a way that satisfies them.
No permission
please read the pinned comment on how to post
Gotta read how.
#1210288551313281044 message
Oh ok
There's also https://forum.lastepoch.com/c/feedback-and-suggestions/26 section on the forums
I have a fire mage and I'm near the end of the campaign. I would like to get to endgame with that character instead of starting the new character in the upcoming season. what would I miss out on if I dont start in new season?
Nothing, in theory.
No fresh start and no leaderboards.
There are a few affixes that will not update to the new stats given to them in the new season. So if you have items using said stats, you won't get more. And you won't be able to upgrade the ones you have. Beyond that, nothing really
Same content. New season would have an economy reset if you're playing Merchant's Guild item faction and new leaderboard
thx for replies
Other games may have different content between game modes but LE currently is same content for all game modes
has anyone make a plan for how to speed run the game with the new change of making dungeons give you 1 skill point and 1 idol slot per dungeon? i have been wondering how much impact this change will have on reaching end game faster
People have already been using dungeons to skip. That change makes that faster letting you skip a a few side quests.
Is anyone else experiencing like a 1 second fps spike everytime they close the minimap with tab?
and it kinda sets your character back slightly
why did they add stuff that needs to be identified ? it is a feature of this game that you dont need to do that
https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAzAsGYE4HYg
Well, the identify is free at least, but no I'm not too sure. Maybe a way to give X item type unique easier?
is there server issues rn or ? stuck at #11 in queue and not moving at all
yes that why i'm asking i wonder which side quests will be the best to skip with the new change
Probably just so you can sell it
what server? have you tried other servers?
the cocooned items also have a higher lp chance. but, yea, also not a huge fan of identify
no but I've seen others complain about this too
probably as a way to add increased LP chance to drops from some types of new content without messing with core game systems
cause the cocooned items should have a higher LP chance
Does lich's scorn add freeze rate to minions that are buffed?
Specifically minions that don't normally have a freeze rate
No. Because it's a freeze rate multiplier. And the cold damage buff is just flat cold damage.
Do we have any hint of how much higher the LP chance is for the cocooned items? 5, 10, 15%? I don't recall seeing it in the patch notes
Do all lightning damage have a minimum chance to shock?
No. Shock is tied to shock chance only. Even a void skill can proc shock if you have generic chance on hit to shock.
Alright thanks. That sucks, I wish it added freeze rate
Unless the base freeze rate is high enough, it would realistically not do anything-
they just said it in a podcast, i dont think the actual number is known
Is there a way to see your avg/total dps vs dummies like in Torchlight infinite?
not really
No.
Is there a community known way of testing damage? It's gonna be hard in my case scenario comparing specific nodes in the passive tree though cuz the damage is not that different
Literally just punching the dummy multiple times and recording it on paper or something.
Since at a high enough level you can even tell small differences.
I seem to have forgotten the button I press to se my skill page
I'll just stick to gut feeling, but thanks
are people playing tombs of the erased right now? or is there no early access?
thnx
None is playing. Only a few had a chance to test it out for a period and that's it
no they were dodgy on this subject as always
This means that Lightning Blast will be casted every second right?
yes
and 2% of the time you'll cast two
unless it's just a rounding error in the UI, which I guess it is
would it be a dumb idea to pick paladin for leveling if u know ure going to be a void knight in endgame?
It would be before S2, but not anymore. You can change at anytime and it's cheaper the earlier you change (It gets to millions of gold though in at lvl 100 so be careful)
you can do it but why would you, just roll VK straigh away and save yourself the hassle of respeccing
Howdy y'all, it's been ages since I played last epoch. As of right now, in pre-tombs, is it feasible to go into the game with a good idea of how the mechanics work and no build guide and push corruption?
I don't need to get to 100 or whatever, but I love making builds and I'm hoping that the game is still friendly toward that playstyle. Everything might change in 1.2, ofc
sure, not much had changed in this regard, the game is still fairly open as far as meta goes if you know what you are doing
anyone here leveling as void knight?
They keep making experimenting easier and accessible. You can jump in and blast away. The game is surprisingly easier to get into than POE. After reading the guide and mechanics and watching some videos, everything will be understandable. https://www.lastepochtools.com/guide
Seriously, the guide explains almost everything
I thought I might do a void knight this season. I haven't played one in awhile. I'll probably level as a judgement paladin though and switch, as they added mastery respecs this season
yea okay
Yeah, I've read the guide before and I've been watching tons of guide videos to brush up. I appreciate the answers! I love making my own builds in poe2.
Last epoch somehow feels simultaneously more restrictive and more freeing. You're given a set of nodes for every skill as a limit of what it can do, but within that confined space there seem to be a lot more viable things you can make work
Whereas in poe2 you have access to hundreds of support gems for every skill, but 95%+ are dogwater
Feels like finding a needle in a haystack
So who are the good content creators to watch for LE? to have an idea of classes / builds to start S2? Ideally heartseeker or whirlwind 🙂
But it's an enjoyable search for said needle
Crows or Squirrels which are better at endgame ?
my guess is crows
Will lich's scorn's bonuses affect the player if you take the symbiotic apparition node?
Specifically the cold pen per intelligence
Oh ok
It should, it worked back in 1.0
Is there a detailed view of skills? Like seeing how many chains Lightning Blast has
As in with your current specs? No. Pen and paper it!
So whats the thought on sets now? I know previously sets were considered not great, is the new set bonus thing put on random gear worth it?
Depends on the set, some can be useful now while some are still kinda eh.
Does LB even have chain by default?
Sets themselves still aren't great. Set affixes being used in other gear has the potential to be fantastic where the bonuses apply.
No.
mage not S tier?
what to do if char stuck underground etc? is there / command to respawn at checkpoint?
Just waypoint to somewhere else. You can do it from your map UI
okty
in 1.2 it does
How many chains is it by default in 1.2?
If an ability has a mana cost in LE Tools (like Icicle from Reign of Winter), does the player pay that cost per trigger? Or is it free if not cast by the player directly?
Theoretically if I reached 200%, would it cast smite twice on hit?
It's free unless it say that it costs mana.
Item says "cast", and mana cost says 3 for Icicle, are triggers all free unless stated directly in their affix line? Still not sure based on your answer lol.
Triggers are all free unless they say it'll cost mana.
Example of a random trigger that costs mana
hey, gonna ask my super specific stupid question here, are there any skills I could build upon which gives you some kind of spirit behind you?
Harbinger of Stars is probably a better example of an item with a trigger that specifies a mana cost as your question was about an item https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAzBsCYA5KA
No..?
I don't think so
haha that's fine, thank you, have super soft spot for stuff like that and just thought I would ask
o7
The closest you got I guess is to summon a living set of armour to be your minion?
i like summoners in general so I think I would go with something like that as I got impression that there are multiple minion builds in last epoch
Primalist can shape shift into stuff, but it's you becoming the big thing instead of the big thing being behind you
Can you play and share items with friends in cof?
thanks, shapeshiting always sounds cool but i don't usually like how they implemented in games as you mostly look like all other shapershifters and there's no variation in appearance
Yes, you can freely gift drops between party members if it dropped while in the same party and instance. Even MG can do this with the same party and instance requirements.
Eagles' Wraithlord suggestion might fit. Big reaper looking thing follows you. Random example picture. But they do all look the same
ye that looks cool thank you, was looking at summoner builds and squirel one looks super fun but it seems that it needs unique items to work
Yeah, the Wraithlord also needs a unique. Although it's a bit easier to get than the squirrel one. Uncommon vs Rare
can I expect to drop uniques I want as I play or it's mostly reliant on player trading to get ones you like? don't have much expereince with loot based arpg games and recently played poe/poe2 and 99% of items I got was from player trading
When a weapon has a "x% chance to upgrade after slaying a harbinger", what changes after killing that harbinger? Do the affixes upgrade or implicits or something else happens?
That specific implicit changes to a specific one.
Depends on the rarity, common and uncommon ones drop pretty frequenly.
thanks
Basically all items are self-farmable if you dedicate the time to it, some are just harder than others
So Champion affixes are always sealed, right?
I assume they can roll at exalted tier regardless?
There's some woven echoes that just sends you to new boss fights, so it's more than just those 3.
So the only two new zones are Tombs and Cemeteries that show randomly in echoes? Is there a third bigger one?
where tier list
I played the release season and season 1 as SSF and didn't have a problem making the builds I wanted to play. Did the Circle of Fortune item faction. The squirrel and wraithlord helmets are both random drops, so you can also use Rune of Ascendance and CoF Prophecies to get extra drop chances.
That said, if the build you want to play doesn't work without a specific rare item and you don't want to grind for it, you could just play Merchant's Guild item faction and get the item from the bazaar / auction house.
Those zones are randomly made and have different content depending on the woven echo you slot in, but yes they are the only two new categories.
Kzb is correct
Boss Woven Echoes have the "Boss Woven Echo" description under their name and also a skull marker in the Woven Echo inventory, so you can visually tell at a look which they are
I thought those zones show up randomly in any echo, woven or not
One of them is normally made by woven echoes.
Interesting, I guess it's not obvious which ones are in LEtools
Maxroll has some but to be clear they're just ranking the builds on their site in different activities. There's many other builds out there https://maxroll.gg/last-epoch/tierlists
when do u pick up faction?
wrathlord nowhere to be found xd
Last chapter of the campaign, 9.
https://www.lastepochtools.com/endgame/monolith/woven-echoes
Interesting, this page was tricky to find but it does show you the type!
On the first character in a game mode, when you reach Maj'Elka in Chapter 9. On subsequent characters in the same game mode, in the first town, Keeper's Camp, in Chapter 1.
okii
ok guys ive got a question for u my bro and i are talking about DOT builds and we came across a problem when how or where do u pick up the dropped items??????
have no idea what factions are but hope will learn till league start, but thats good to know thank you
Everyone gets their own loot. If you're playing grouped in the same area, you can give items to your friend with gifting.
By er, clicking on them? Your question isn't clear enough
nah i mean if the items drop far behind u if u let the DOT damge kill them
Then you walk back to grab them.
isnt that like ultra annoying?
This is the price you pay if you leave the mob group-
You can watch the mini map for legendary items dropping. But exalted don't show on the map.
cant i pay like 3.99 ?
no
❤️ thx tho
No.
It's not really that bad. I played a Torment Warlock on game release and it reaches a point where you can pick and choose if you want to go back to pick something up. A lot of weaker mobs also die as you're zooming along
Is there a build that revolves around this? This skill looks cool as hell
depends if u wanna reach top levels or end end game
u can play threw the game with everything i think
Ah i wanna be able to clear all content at least once
and even early monolyths should be possibel
yea should be possible i dont have a build at hand try lastepochtools or maxroll
you cant preload filter right? the mods from 1.2 arent available
not ingame, no
If it's campaign and early monoliths: Yes most likely.
Empowered, pinnacle boss: Maybe not.
Ah dang, thats a shame
Looking for super flashy builds for the next season
Champions are new to 1.2?
Yes.
There are always stronger enemies in echoes, I always thought those were champions. Are they just rare enemies?
Those are just rare enemies.
that or mini bosses, depending on what you meant
Yeah I was referring to rares. I wonder if champions are worth investing into in the woven tree. Do they drop good enough loot from those who tested the 1.2?
we cant answer that lol
No they cannot answer that
Does anyone know if the increased healing from this node is additive or multiplicative with increased healing effectiveness? :)
Nobody knows when it comes to general loot but you can look at champ affixes on le tools, it's a fairly small and niche selection
so I guess if your build doesnt need any of those that's already one strike against investing into champ modifiers in the weaver's tree
Yeah i've already decided against it. Other options are really tempting
But do you know where to find the list of those in LEtools?
idk I'm an ape I just clicked on the filtered link from their news post
it's also available on the main page of their item database
do we know how muhc gold respeccing mastery costs?
id try the thing labeled champion affixes
The news post for 1.2 has a chart.
level dependant
Wow this overview is incredible! Thank you
Will buying Woven Echoes cost gold or another currency? LEtools shows them as gold, but in the reveal video shows costing Memory Amber
Memory amber, bought from the weaver faction's merchant.
it seems to be both gold and amber?
but yeah they certainly do have a faction resource cost
Yeah was just confused by LEtools saying it costs gold on every echo
How big is flat added damage? Like if I had 1000% increased Spell damage, and I add 5 to my skill, it'll be 50?
Chart here https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/last-epoch-tombs-of-the-erased-patch-notes/75247#heading--qol-masteryrespec I believe the cost of all of passive points would also be added onto this
Last time I played I think I partially got burnt out on the crafting and item management. I went CoF and I felt like I was spending more time managing and crafting items than blasting echoes.
What are some tips to cut down on item management time while losing as few upgrade opportunities as possible? I know that if I'm spending less time with items, my item upgrading will likely be slower, to an extent.
If your skill has an added damage effectiveness of 100%, it'll add 50 to your skill's damage
Edit: It's 55, my bad
@strange geode @tight olive 55, I think. Since you're adding 1000% of 5 on top of 5
your flat gets multiplied by your increased and more modifiers
I'd say having an adequate item filter helps a lot. If you feel like you spend too much time crafting, making your filter more strict will reduce that time (though you might miss some decent items, but it sounds like it's a sacrifice you're willing to make)
You're right, my bad ^^
With a new character it's harder as so many items could be an upgrade. But later it reaches a point where only specific things could be an upgrade, so you can adjust your filter for those. Run through the echo, picking up just the possible upgrade items, dump them into a stash tab, keep playing. Sort through it later.
Yeah, I'll check that first thing. I think I was highlighting too many exalted items, probably. And I was maybe highlighting too many things just for shattering
Thanks, but it's hard to imagine the impact. I'll try to grab something in game that adds flat damage and see the difference
Like i'm dealing 3k per hit, adding 7 flat damage is not easy to imagine how much it would translate into lol
Yeah it's the "sorting through later" that ended up feeling more like a mounting project that I was putting off than a fun loot session
not sure what to tell you but the next patch adds 6 more major crafting mechanics..
if you expect to craft less, you are gonna be disappointed
Yeah, hiding some exalted items was something that helped me a lot as a CoF player. With the new runes, I think nearly all exalted items might be salvageable, but it's still a good way to save time
Yeah, but also better management for them, so 🤷
If your skill is 10 and 1000% increased damage, it's 100.
If your then add is 10 flat spell damage, then it's 200.
also you will not have the shortcut of hiding exalts with shit exalted affixes anymore cause rune of havoc
110 and 220*
Mhmm that does sound huge. I guess added damage is really good
Generally, it's really good, yes
Right, I assumed the 1000% counted the base, bad habit.
basically your DPS is an optimization problem where you have a limit of X+Y+Z = c, and you need to x * y * z-> max
thus the solution is a space that can be roughly described as "more or less equal spread across the multipliers"
but since flat is one of the most rare stats, it's generally most valuable where you can find it
Just like how the best angle to shoot a projectile to maximize distance with zero air resistance is 45 degrees
Perfectly balanced
Yeah flat damage adds a ton of tooltip numbers since I already have a lot of increased dmg
but in some rare cases flat is not very valuable because you already have a ton of it
What builds could be pushing the top corruption in the new patch?
i.e. judgment aura builds on paladin usually drop weapon in favor of the gloves just for the area, or i.e. flame reave can get a ton of flat and other stats become more valuable like crit multi
What's the playerbase split between CoF and MG since 1.1? I heard they were pretty even on release
they didn't release any numbers, did they?
I have no idea. Any big polls come out for it or anything?
I'm never going MG anyway, but I was curious if one was massively more popular
Theory crafting is really fun. I hope I get to actually play instead of just planning lol
Planning IS playing!
The poll they did before announcing the factions system on whether players wanted trade or not they did say it was super close to 50/50, but they've never released actual player numbers or anything since announcing factions afaik.
It's more fun than playing tbh. Building the perfect build and never getting there!
from the highly trustworthy source of my ass, I'd say that on launch it's 70/30 in favor of MG but by the end of the league the POE players leave and it's more like 20/80 MG/COF
as once the MG population drops it enters a negative feedback loop
also the more dedicated LE players are naturally more likely to gravitate to COF I think
Anyone know a way to copy a build in LEtools to have a second version?
does LE have xp loss on death?
I still love how necro beat out warlock
no
Interesting, I thought Primalist was more popular seeing it had a meta build
uh we aren't in 1999 anymore, of course not
oh sweet summer child
if you only knew
EHG keeping up with the times! I love it
😔
Just save it again, if you want a separate entry in your "My Builds" tab, just uncheck the Update link to this build in "My Builds" thing before you confirm save in the dialog that pops up.
show us on this doll where Jonathan touched you
😭
🫂
so from what I've gathered, this game:
drops a lot of loot
doesn't remove xp when you die
has an Auction House
it's already better than POE2
There are buttons on the left. See if you can maybe make a change and save it as a different one
@faint cape Not sure how I'd have a second entry in "My Builds" It doesn't save it again even if I make changes
I want to have different weapons and compare between them, but there isn't an easy way of doing that
better than poe2 is not exactly a high bar to clear
So I figure of making a copy
especially after 0.2
that is true
If only LE has a screenwide pick up range, the game would be perfect. Clicking all over the screen just to pick up something is very outdated and unecessary
what was that arpg with a hotkey to vacuum up loot around you, sacred?
What do you mean it doesn't save again? Every time you save the build, it should generate a new link that loads up the saved build when you paste it in the browser
saved so much pointless clicking
The update won't drop wasd usability right?
I wish glyphs/runes were just picked up by at least walking over them
it will
How good is the Winds of Justice node on Warpath? 4 points for 1 Smite per second. I feel like other builds can proc Smite a lot more often.
(Please disable ping if you reply to me.)
Oh thank God
but it also won't magically let you use all the skills while moving
Experimental version of it
so if you expect to have a poe experience, that ain't it
Oh wdym
Oh rip
lol they arent changing their entire game around wasd
I was about to say it was gonna be a relief since I wanted to league start bleed bow
it will be similar to current controller implementation
🗿
still useful for kiting
Emphasis on experimental https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/last-epoch-tombs-of-the-erased-patch-notes/75247/9
not sure if I'm gonna end up using it but I'll surely try it out
Hmm... I mean as much as I dislike poe2, their implementation of wasd was really nice ngl
Same, definitely will try it. I didn't think I'd use it in PoE2 but ended up liking it. I'm sure it'll take getting used to either way
Have to try it out
don't warpath builds use palaruses to trigger it?
Also I didn't see what the new update's mechanic was gonna be, so is there a place to read its key summaries/what it means for the new season?
And will the mechanic be available in campaign early on like in poe?
yes but their whole game is balanced around using more or less everything on the move, while LE isn't
like POE2 players love to whine about mob speed, do they expect to have mobs of a similar speed to the player so they can kite them trivially or something?
I mean of course they do, they are poe players after all
True but getting arthritis from kiting ranged spells does catch up to your wrist so either way we'll have to see
yea I'm not a fan of how my fingers feel from having to constantly press left mouse button but it's easy to see where the devs are coming from when not making wasd just broken
We'll see. Could be a bit of a pause delay on wasd movement between using spells but yeah
I have no clue.
i forgot how i do forging ?
Warpath has that node, but it's 4 points, and 1/s doesn't sound like a lot.
F key is default to bring it up
You do not need to go to a forge location or anything
thnx
Hello, I'm new around here and have a quick question. I found a Weaver's Will item during a test character I made this afternoon, they weren't supposed to drop after the 17th? Thx in advance !
They do already have a bunch in the game. The expansion will add a bunch more and expand on the mechanic a bit. But yea, that’s normal!
As someone coming back after disaster season with market exploits, what exactly is cof and does it allow for targeted farming of specific gear for a build you play? I remember not liking it much in the past iirc because it gave gear that was completely irrelevant to me and I tend to stick with one build per season
Thank you !
So question for build-makers out there - has anyone tried/gotten far with a pure mana strike mage? I was looking it over, and it seems remarkably easy with some mana stacking to get its base damage really high, and get 100% crit chance. It feels like if you could find a good way to scale %increased ele/melee damage, along with maybe enchant weapon, it has the tools to be a zero mana permanently-critting high base damage machine. And yet, I don’t see any builds that use only it as the main source - mostly people use it as a tool to proc other skills or just to refill mana in a pinch.
Anyone looked at that before?
I never really crafted or played much, could someone put me in perspective on how possible it is to craft something like this?
Disregard the tiers. They could be T3+
technically uncraftable cuz of the sealed t5. you would have to get it to drop like this from a nemesis.
but besdes that, you would craft your crit multi to w/e tier you want, hit a despair glyph(low chances at higher tiers), seal it, and them craft everything else as is
but i would seal one of the inc% and try to get the crit multi exalted
It gives you a lot more drop chances. You know how you can use a Rune of Ascendance to get a random unique of a general item type? CoF has Prophecies that are something like that. You buy a Prophecy says do X get Y. For example defeat a boss and get a bunch of exalted rings. Bunch of extra drops chances for an item you might be looking for.
There's also faction ranks that just give you more. One doubles LP chance, another doubles T7 affix chance, another gives 150% boss specific drop chance, etc etc
You still have a grind a lot. But you get more stuff
Well, considering a better melee skill, Shatter strike, barely gets coverage....
You'll have to ask #🧙┃mage for more info.
I mean you said it's uncraftable, but you can seal it and craft it right? I just have no perspective on how possible with forgin potential
A sealed affix cannot be modified in anyway.
Right, so you get an affix to T5, seal it, then craft the rest. But do you have enough forging potential usually to do all of that?
you cannot seal a t5 affix. so the picture you showed cannot be crafted unless its from a nemesis.
you could craft anything else there, and just ahve a t4 seal
Is it better though? What makes it better? You can’t get 100% crit chance and you can’t get lots of base damage easily. You can get like ~100% more damage or so, but otherwise I don’t see it as better. What makes it better to you?
Gotcha. Well if the old season is an indication of anything, cof might be the move in the new season ig.
Market exploits were insane with no rollback
Okay so the maximum you could manually seal is T4?
yes. unless you get a lucky item drop from nemesis, it doesnt follow normal sealing rules
To my knowledge: There's methods to make shatter strike hit max crit and there's tricks to get enough flat to make the 100% more damage shine, like shattered lance set and eye of reen. I'm not sure of the full details.
And even then it's odds under 15%.
Last epoch use WASD movement? or is old system?
I was actually looking at using the shattered lance set with mana strike, in fact haha. I’ll check out the mage channel though, thanks
Didn't they do a cycle refresh at some point, around when they had that skeleton event and added loot lizards? Were there more exploits after that
Mhmm, I wonder how rare it is to drop one of 3 specific affixes on a specific Staff from Nemesis. Like, is that something I should be targeting?
Old system. Gains WASD option this friday.
it will in s2
I'm guessing each attempt drains your forging potential
None iirc.
they are adding in a beta / experimental version of WASD in Season 2. emphasis on experimental. https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/last-epoch-tombs-of-the-erased-patch-notes/75247/9
AND upgrades the affix instead. The seal craft is basically "CHance to seal the affix instead of upgrading it."
i wouldnt bet on it. but i also wouldnt stop farming nemesis for it either
Not during the season I played. There were 2 exploits that season, both patched, but the damage done wasn't rolled back, which caused huge inflation in the tens of millions of gold.
So as someone new you had to pray for a super lucky drop to sell to even consider entry into it. That and the system for leveling market to even be able to use basic functions of it was a huge shit show
But that wouldn't work cuz i'm guessing it's easier to drop an item with two affixes as T6/T7, craft a T4, seal it, then craft the last 2 affixes? Is this easily possible if you get the base?
This one, the refresh for this event #news message
Speaking of which, did they change the market leveling functions at all? It was super badly designed from the perspective of entry into it from mid to late season but
Maybe it's better now
Attempting to seal an T4 with only 3 affixes is close to winning the lottery.
I mean you wouldn't wana upgrade it eitherway if it's T4
Oh? You don't choose the specific affix and attempt to seal it?
That might have been release? I know there was another one in the next where there was a refresh. I played CoF on release and the following cycle
No, If you fail the seal it upgrades instead.
Oh really? Dang okay
You do, but depending on the affix tier you want to seal and the amount of affixes on the item, the chances are different.
Less affix= lower chance.
Higher tier of the affix you want to seal=lower chance.
So if an item has 2 T7, two t4, would that be more of a possibility to seal?
Nah it wasn't release. I think a season or something after release. But did the market leveling process change if at all? Remember it being dumb asf to play with friends cuz we couldn't trade cool loot we found to each other without being like lvl 6 in it
Like is this possible or am I dreaming too big?
Yes, but still low.
Rarity: Exalted Item w/ 3 Affixes
Tier: 1 chance: 0.945
Tier: 2 chance: 0.6210001
Tier: 3 chance: 0.3105
Tier: 4 chance: 0.135
Rarity: Exalted Item w/ 4 Affixes
Tier: 1 chance: 1.05
Tier: 2 chance: 0.69
Tier: 3 chance: 0.345
Tier: 4 chance: 0.15
If you're playing in the same group and loot drops while you're together in an area, you can gift to your friend. CoF and MG can do that
So it's 15%
That's a lot more than winning the lottery
Looks like the refresh I was thinking about was in Sept 2024
You'll still have to win the item drop lottery,so- It's two sets of RNG.
We get to reroll exalted affixes in S2, so more of a possiblity!
That is true, but it IS still rng and costs FP
Just get two T7 and reroll them to what you want
You also only get 1 shot per T4 seal attempt as Despair also upgrades, if it fails to seal. So if that 15% doesn't hit, you have to find another one. And you can't Despair on T5 as it can't upgrade
Oh it always upgrades? Like it's guaranteed if it doesn't hit 15%
And nothing can reduce the tier of an affix?
It always upgrades if it fails the seal.
No.
If it seals, it stays the same. If it fails it upgrades
Well you could by removing it with a rune of removal then crafting it back up but that effectively burns 90% of the FP.
I cant seem to find any info on What time the 17th s2 launches? Anyone know?
Oh boy this is getting fun 🙂
And we haven't even mentioned the FP cost of reolling the exalted affixes!
We weren't in same group at the time. Friend and I had different hours so we ran solo and then wanted to trade loot we found to each other when we both were on
Main game site has a countdown.
Ty!
Oh yeah, that's resonance only. Oh also, P2P trade for MG is removed.
That costs FP? Right so you just gotta drop them ready
Gotta go sweeten up RNGesus
P2p as in it's completely gone or you can do it regardless of cof or mg
If you're not playing together it's harder. There's a resonance system where you can trade items to players you've played with a lot. But if you're not able to do that, then yeah, you need to level up MG up trade never mind direct trading was removed
Completely gone. It was MG only. All that's left is gifting by same party and instance or getting resonance.
At least I know how to do it now. I have a goal! Thanks 🙂
Oh completely gone?
Gone gone. Will probably help reduce RMT
Damn that sucks ass
P2P trading is removed, they said that the amount of people using it was so low that their stats say that most people using it are for RMT so they dropped it. (An exploit related it to probably doesn't help things either, which is why it was disabled in the first place)
Bruh
Hopefully that cuts back on the RMT spam in the channels as well
They quick with the ban whip too. A friend of a friend we played with a bit who openly rmts in most of his games got a ban after like 3 days or so?
So now we can only do resonance stuff? How much do you have to play with each other to even trade?
is the build planner updated for seaosn 2 ?
Doubt it 😅 Bots gonna bot
LEtools and maxroll are already updated.
thx!
I would also like to know if we have a theory for resonance rates yet
Is it time, kills,
Yes, I don't have an exact for you, but from what I know playing together and murdering stuff gets you resonances every 1-2 hours or so.
Mixture of both maybe
Every kill that gives xp while in the same party and instance has a chance to fill up a counter (The chance increases per fail and it goes into a cooldown once it ticks up). Once that counter is full a resonance drops and the counter resets.
Might just want to buy stuff off the bazaar then. If you two aren't playing together. Or there's always CoF if you'd rather grind.
I played CoF the last couple seasons and it was fine for me to get playable builds together
I haven't updated the game for a long time even before 1.1, about 20GB, do I need to download this or wait for 1.2 to drop and download that?
you can wait for 1.2
ok great, thank you Eagles
Is this good for falconer ?
Yeah SSF in Le is EZ mode. Can get a 500 corruption build up in a few days if you have a slight idea of what you’re doing
Does your falconer use bow skills?
Damn... How much do you need to be able to trade?
One resonance per item.
Right but if market exploits with no rollback is gonna be happening there's no way I'm touching MG any time soon
F
Probably better for marksman. There are many different builds out there though
At least. So at least save those for important uniques. (The good news is that anything that drops while playing together can be gifted freely. Drops are instanced for per player.)
well you can gift for free instantly if you are both present at the same time
Kinda cringe but
Yeah but off hours of playing due to timezones so not always possible
If it helps, the timer/counter is saved between sessions.
i mean I played CoF and never really ran out of resonances to trade with my brother. But if you are trying to trade with friends from completely different timezones/playing patterns then yeah you will have a harder time
ah ok, thanks
my fire traps skill has turned into fire arrow bombs in the air, from the build
while my birdy combos do their thing
Then it would work with the traps skill.
Yeah I'd hope so 💀💀💀
Yeah it's cooked...
I love this game as an alternative to poe but the qol for multiplayer is so chalked
the fact of the matter is i think this is a good change, combatting RMT is good for the economy of MG
Is there a big sword/2 sword Spin to win class/build?
I'm basically trying to use Garen's E for 300 hours straight
Warpath.
I'm not denying that, but also the usage statistic for the P2p trade is also skewed because of the lockout for the market level being like 6 or something. Which was pretty high ngl
Multiplayer is definitely more of an afterthought imo.
can phantom grip apply stats to minions like chance to throw an axe at an enemy?
No, only normal-ish affixes. It even can't do anything with attributes like Str or Int.
no, just statistics
appreciate ya.
yeah lol attributes dont work because minions don't have attributes
It's closer to "Minions don't know what to do with attributes."
They're doing their best ok
one last question,
Is reflected damage still bad?
Oop, didn't mean to ping ya. my bad
Kinda, yes. Since reflected damage is a flat number and is hard to boost.
Generally, yes. There's a shield that lets you stack reflect to get flat throwing damage on shield throw, that's probably the closest you get to making it viable. Some new idols give a lot of flat reflect, too, so it might even be good in S2.
that's a shame, might still experiment with it in the new update since I got a 2lp thornshell and a t6 flat reflected damage shield.
Oh? I'll have to try that!
Sigeon's Reprisal is the shield iirc
it's remotely possible now with the weaver tree node for the harbinger bases, but highly unlikely in this combination. I'd say it's a 1-2 month item
Sup, party people. I wanted to confirm if the new content is mostly endgame? I would like to see if I can start leveling a new char until monos and wait for the update
you're right
Yeah, the only new content that appears in campaign (not counting fixes, QoL, low level uniques, etc.) is champions
Trying to decide on a league starter:
- BM Scorpion -> Crows once gear acquired
- Umbral Glaive Falconer
- Shatter Strike Spellblade
- Judgment Paladin
Thoughts?
Is Hammerin Paladin good for endgame ?
I usually play standard league in poe and like palying the market, what league would you recommend me playing in LE for the first time playing the game?(MG or COF)
Those all sound great. Just note that crows and minions in general benefit a lot from snapshotting. Where you equip certain items, idols, and activate certain buffs. Then summon the minion. And the minions keeps that snapshot of the stats while you're in the same zone. And a monolith is all the same zone. If you're ok with that extra bit it gear juggling then it's fine.
ya
I'm aware of the snapshot
Good for league starting right ?
If you like trading in PoE then probably you want MG in LE. That lets you use the Bazaar, which is like an asynchronous auction house type of thing instead of needing to do in person trades.
CoF is great if you don't want to do that. Gives you a lot extra drops and bonuses.
yeah.
Warning:Items in LE can only be traded once.
Good point, no hideout loot goblining
thats kinda crazy
is there like an online site for trading like in poe in the CoF league?
circle of fortune is the ssf faction
1 - might not even swap to crows, crows are as good or worse without abusing snapshotting
2 - dont play rogue
3 - on par with scorp but more fun
4 - not clear how much worse it is now than before VR removal, seems to be more or less on par so it's still a good build (builds)
So you can't trade with other players at all?
You effectively have an AH.
No player to player trading no
Buying/selling items is all done in game with the bazaar. It's asynchronous so you don't even have to be online. You just list stuff and people buy it
I'm not familiar with Harbingers. What do they have to do with crafting this weapon? I can only see that it's an upgraded base, and the unupgraded base is just as usable
If you're playing with a friend and an item drops while you're in the same area, there's item gifting. If you've been playing together a while and they go offline and something drops, there's a resonance system for that. But outside of that and the bazaar with MG, no.
its unupgraded base is a very rare drop from nemesis, which is unrealistically rare to get in any specific affix combination. There is a new weaver tree node that presumably makes these a lot more readily available with the nemesis dropping a load of such items on death/empower
Oh that is a good point. I don't mind using the last 3 strongest Two-Handed Staffs anyway. So I got 3 bases to look out for
I just have no perspective on how difficult it is to get a high tier base with one or two affixes at T7 that you want
WHat league are yall playing and why?
I'm hoping I could craft something like this (Without the sealed) and aim for this eventually
2x T7 that you actually want is rare. But there's also new crafting items being added this season. One let's you change the attribute affix. For example Str -> Int. Another is a rune that shuffles which affix is which tier. Etc
I'm guessing all drain your forging potential
specific base with specific affixes at exalt? pretty damn hard (on COF)
on mg just click on it
I like making a new character each season and starting over. So I'm going to be doing that, making a new cycle character. If you prefer PoE standard league, that's LE Legacy. In LE the new cycle and legacy have the same content. Unlike how PoE just puts the new content in the new league.
They're that rare? Like not even 1 affix on a base you want?
i meant like Cof vs MG
Item factions are what those are called
Starting MG, early economy is always fun for me in other games. pray for no dupe exploit this time around, then eventually swap to COF when the market dies down.
1 affix on a specific base is more reasonable but will still involve targeting it with prophecies etc
One T7, sure you'll get some. Multiple and they being what you want? Much less likely. But you can try the new crafting stuff and maybe you'll get lucky. Like the Havoc Rune could possibly swap a T1 you want into a T7 that you didn't want
2 specific affixes on a specific base is exponentially more rare
Filters are gonna need a lot of work to get very specific exalted items lol
I'm gonna make it my goal to craft this
Oh you can do whatever item faction you want. It's really however you prefer to play. If you like buying items off an auction house type thing to get exactly what you want, play MG.
If you don't like that and want to grind items CoF. If you're playing offline, CoF.
You can even switch, but it's a bit of work.
i love getting 1 shot from harbinger 🙂
Just note you can only upgrade to T5. So you'd need to find an item with the T6 and T7. The new Havoc Rune let's you mix up which affix is which tier. Like in your above example maybe it could swap Health and Crit Multi tiers. But you'd still need to get lucky finding the item and get lucky with the crafting
I really like builds similar to ED+Contagion in poe, not necessarily for the prolif and dot aspect, but for the combo aspect.
What are some sentinel builds or theories that really lean into the combo aspect? I I ironically enjoyed the old void knight skill where you went back in time. It made for some gnarly combos. From the changes I saw it looks like that style is still doable.
Forge guard, thematically, is really cool to me tho. Any forge guard combo build ideas brewing?
Can I get an item with T7 Health, craft Critical DMG T1, use Havoc rune to switch them, then remove the health?
well, torment warlock +- is that kind of build
like its 2 button build most of the times
at least WAS 2 button build
Yeah but me want melee
u used to press plague+fissure
melee is suffering... imo
Do subskills respect the tree of the skill that triggered them? For example, more damage, or chance to apply an ailment.
Yes
idk i dont know any... maybe... healing hands or other?
Unless something states otherwise, yes.
As for melee combo forge guard stuff, there's that one Rive node that makes summoned armaments instead buff the hell out of rive. You could make a whole build around proccing that with the mastery ability/multistrike or anything
Forge strike looks pretty fun. Or maybe that multihit one that got its ST buffed
naaah nah, then i would suggest erasing strike mana stacker
VK
it has crazy potential
You want me to take a melee weapon... And do what heinous thing with it?
THROW it?!?
YEEES!!!
maybe.. shield throw FG?
Tho orbit hammer might count
but its kinda not melee but it stays rly close to enemies
What about that smelters rage thing? the channeling one.
didnt see any1 use it, maybe it could work out but i wont recommend it as im not familiar with it '
Am I missing something or do many of 'duration' spell descriptions lack the information how long they last? Just two examples: Black Hole, and the invocation Revik's Blizzard
@hidden micashield bash FG maybe?
I do like shield
Hi, if I make a HC SAF character, can I convert it to 1) SC on death? 2) Not-SCF/SAF?
Can you dual wield shields? I thought I heard that was possible
its not a shields, its a shield-like 1h axe
I've seen a hang of a lot of people say some subskills just arbitrarily do not. Such as burning daggers from cinder strike, any weight to that? And I'm assuming FULL skills never respect a different tree, like smite cast off of lunge will completely ignore lunge's tree.
Do channeling skills like warpath still stop mana regen?
i heard not, its not
Yeeeeah some just kinda... don't. It's a bit of an issue. Full skills only ever respect their own tree (excluding if something within the skill triggering them says so). They try to make everything state exactly how it works buuut there's a lot to cover so mistakes happen.
Most do, I can only think of one exception rn
Okay, subskills are supposed to respect the full main tree, it's just bugged in some cases basically? I'd love to see a pass on this stuff sometime, maybe display "subskill" where it says mana cost.
Pretty much yeah. Some subskills are intentionally not supposed to (usually because they're coded weirdly in order to function, like Fire Aura), I'd wager most are supposed to.
Okay, thanks, My mind has been numb trying to figure out subskills for a day or two now, they are so jank.
Correct lmao
How killable is Aberroth once you can farm 450 corruption?
How long does Black Hole last?
depends on your build/skill
I think base it's like just over 4 seconds?
Should just be a skill check at that point, but yeah heavily build dependent. Some are faster bossers than others. Best way to find out is try!
Black hole's more info text says 2.75 seconds by default.
I'd say run like 3-4 keys to get a feel for your damage before you decide if you need to grind more. Or do what i did and throw your head against a wall with all your inital keys then go back tail between your legs to farm keys for a week.
Oh ok. I'm just checking from lastepochtools and can't see it from there
is there an easy way to get rid of black arrows w/o directly using a bow skill ?
the things we unlock, like the high corruption on maps, or the new thing that is like the POE2 atlas, are shared between characters on the same account?
Corruption no, weaver tree yes
Corruption has catch-up mechanics though
So getting to equal amount is pretty fast
100% weaver tree will be shared? that would be awesome
yes
As long as the characters are in the same mode yea
Knowing fire aura doesn't work like with trees is almost even more frustrating, because not one of it's sources clarifies it doesn't. bwah.
@knotty tinsel another falls to despair
you can set it up individually on each character but progress is stash (aka league) wide
Is the new patch generally buggy? So far, both of the things I tested aren't working. Patch note says they fixed a bug with smoke bomb not expanding, but the bug still exists. Patch notes say lightning blasts chains as baseline, but it doesn't. Etc....
Season 2 comes out in 3 days, it's not out yet.
have anywhere to see the patch notes besides the forum? cant Ctrl F there
how could anyone know what a patch performs without it being released?
You can, hit it twice
If you're looking at the 1.2 patch notes it comes out on the 17th
Oh... sorry. Just didn't expect notes to drop so many days before release. Thanks.
Yeah they usually release them somewhat earlier than the actual launch so people get to work with them
Hi! I was confused when I was reading some info about Last Epoch and was hoping the community could clarify for me. From what I read there are standard characters and seasonal characters, but both characters have access to all the same content. In games like POE you only get access to the new content if you start a new league(seasonal) character. Is this not the case in Last Epoch? Essentially, what are the benefits of playing a seasonal character vs a standard character?
fresh start+new economy
As you have read, everyone has access to the same content (this may not be the case forever, jury's out on that until they think the core is "finished"). The benefits are mainly fresh economy and leaderboards, some people also just like the feeling of the restart (me, hi).
if you plan to play selffound there is no benefit in new season
all content is available on all modes
Except for ladder competition
if you are one of 5 people that care about ladder yes
Thanks!
If I have a char in legacy with class I need(but not built at all), and I plan to play CoF, then with 1.2 there's close to no reason to start fresh cycle since there's no difference between cycle and legacy for me?
correct
I wish there was a non-solo self found. Let me have a unique stash, but still let me coop/join the merchants.
isnt there account solo found
Still can't use MG
yea true
For reasons I don't really understand, they want MG but just a non-shared stash? Which is like, the opposite of self found?
I actually don't want mg, but, i want to be able to coop with my partner. I want to experience the game fresh with them before the season, but wasn't able to voluntarily do that.
Ohh. Just play COF together then, no?
you can gift stuff to each other
I want: fresh stash + party play. I don't care how i obtain new items, so i wouldn't care if it's limited or entirely free, I just don't want my thousands of shards and crafting materials, because I wanted to be able to experience a fresh crafting start with them for their first run through the story.
Any form of solo entirely prevents you from doing party play (unless it actually lies)
seasonal foc for both is my recommendation
I figure you'd just hop into seasonal with them then really, seasonal stash is always fresh
cof*
Seasonal focer
Except i've played this season before, and then it's going to roll back in literally a handful of days and then be legacy anyway.
😄
there is no way to do what you want between now and the start of s2
cant you wait 3 days
Wait the few days and play the upcoming one?
We started playing a couple days ago, he wanted to learn the game before getting overwhelmed with all the new content + other friends we wanted to play with on day 1.
Whelp, I'm outta ideas then :P
It's fine, i guess it's a petty issue, but i found it a strange limitation.
take this as practice run and start fresh 17th
Self found seems like a strange challenge to exist in last epoch, just, don't join merchants?
It's kind of a staple in the genre
self found is a fairly popular challenge for arpg's in general
thats why they have a mode for it
Yeah, but i think that's the only reason it exists in this one.
yea
I mean, yeah. People used to have support reset their accounts to simulate it lol
That's not exactly sustainable so they decided to incorporate an actual option
Idk. Maybe i'm the only person who wants to be able to have a coop self found option basically.
i mean it sounds fun
it is a very niche request in this genre, i think. but its not like its a terrible idea or anything. its just not supported right now. you can always throw it in #1210282176680169562
Either way. Is there a way to make runemaster actually capable of using a wide variety of spells lategame? Nine the phantom/evoker style.
Also keep in mind that MG and CoF haven't always existed, but people still wanted the challenge of taking characters to their limits without stuff from previous characters
😭
better to know than to not know, I suppose
Yeahyeah, I like how you can have your fresh start, but I don't understand why it comes force packaged with entirely preventing coop play.
Reposting this from "ask the dev" I'm a bit confused as to how the woven echoes work. They say you can only weave them into your monolith from the device you find at the end of cemetaries of the erased, but where do we find these cemetaries ? In the monolith themselves ?
I'm trying to get the feeling how often we'll encounter them to know when we can use all these echoes we find
party play isnt super popular in this genre, so, honestly i doubt anyone thought it would be asked for. like i said, you can throw it in #1210282176680169562
in th echoes as side zones
tombs are side zones in echoes, cemeteries are echoes in the web
all right and then at the end of the cemetary we can use the device, got it
I was a bit confused, thanks for the clarification
The itemization system in LE seems to demand you specialize into atleast 1 damage type/hit vs damage over time, I can't seem to get any way for more than like, 3 invocations max to be viable at once. Kinda defeats the point of such an interesting ability? Or it it just supposed to be 40 abilities in one, pick one.
Ideally i'd like to have frost claw + lightning blast + fireball just to get access to specific invocations based on the situation, and adapt.
I mean you could just scale inc% elemental and take all the flat ele spell dmg in the tree.
but yeah RI itself doesnt have many super great spells overall to fit the playstyle
its not going to be top tier build or anything, but you can do it
increased elemental is for some reason not available on armour
If I have buff which gives added spell damage for NEXT spell cast only, and I cast Black Hole, where I have specced into Armageddon node, does the Meteors casted by the Black Hole inherit the added spell damage from the buff?
I don't feel like I can get nearly enough for that to work, I completely fell off the moment I hit monos when I tried.
yeah, certain affixes only go certain places. that is true. tho your armor is more for keeping you alive, not buffing your spells
you get the buff, your black hole is doing the casting, not you
so no
These skills taking our jobs 🙄
I kinda hard disagree? Suffixes sure, but +skills and increases to fire damage over time or whatever all belong on it.
Maybe I'm interpreting things wrong
Class-exclusive affixes can be offensive, yes. Elemental damage is not class-exclusive.
I'll try again then. I'm not hoping to push high corruption, just like, do all the content.
And would love to not press 1 button/1 series of buttons repeatedly for once.
maybe this is enough support. I was so surprised to not see any sort of unique that encourages variety with it, they all encourage you to lock in hard.
guys, season 2 will have different content from the legacy or not ?
The Shattered Cycle Sceptre at least encourages you to switch between casting one-, two- and three-rune invocations
Content will be the same on both the legacy and seasonal realm
Huh, I missed that one actually, thanks. I don't know if it'll be better or worse than reowyn's fortress though. Probably better I think.,
Oh, darn, it'll fight pretty hard with runic energizer though, cause there's only 3 one rune invocations
is recurve only able to hit the same target once?
It's my understanding that heartseeker will repeatedly hit the same target until it fails a recurve roll.
Or said target dies.
Are the servers under maintenance ? how can we check it is there any site or smth
hi guys does LE have a market ?
hey going to start new season, i just want to know if i use a lvling build and at the early endgame ill switch, i will be able or its gonna be to expansive?
or trading in gerneral ?
There's an entire trading faction, yes. No real money trading.
Respeccing is pretty damn cheap, you can freely experiment throughout the story.
hey all, i just got the game and i'm not able to login, it says something about the servers not available?
Hey quick question, are servers down for everyone right now?
Seems that its not just me
i only played hero seige and thinking of buying LE
so i was wondering if the game have a market or in game trading
there is trade bazaar
as someone who recently played a good amount of hero siege the market is very similiar except for the fact in LE there are different NPCs for each item type for some reason which can be a bit annoying to go between otherwise borderline the same
New, ancient, basically the same
listen, aint no one ask for your technicalities
If i want to level using shurikens, what sort of weapons am I looking for to get throwing damage? And is throwing damage an implicit on any type of weapon?
throwing dmg isnt found on weapons
rings, belts, etc
but you do likely wanta dagger for the flat crit
Someone explain to me how a belt helps you throw weapons better.
Ooh shit that actually makes more sense.
Its new because it comes from the past and I used the epoch ... right ?
we've been asking for a real throwing weapon for years
🤓 exactly
LE back in Kickstarter looked like a mmo from the 2000 its crazy
so do weapon mods still affect the throwing damage? like If i get Physical damage increase?
yes
Yes
yessir
ok thanks!
Stats on weapons are global
Yeah, you can make your weapons affect the throwing attacks, just anything that specifies melee won't work... which yknow is half of the stuff you can roll.
Anyone have a suggestion for a skill/synergy that would make for a dynamic playstyle? I'd like to avoid just pressing the same button/identical series of buttons repeatedly with no variation for once. Or is this too tall of an order for an ARPG.
Maybe something to do with long cooldowns/high mana costs could do this? But I feel like any situation like that would just have you get better efficiency and go back to spamming that button.
I got something I am 90% sure its overcooked
I'm not one to just follow a guide so I'm happy with just a vague idea. I want to be able to do endgame content like the forgotten knights faction, not necessarily push high corruption.
Vlad is a certified chef, yeah
Then I got smth for you

Just found out about the dungeons daily modifier. Does this also apply to offline mode?
Hit me then. Assuming it doesn't take until like level 60 to work lmao.
Yep
Let me do a quick paint
Games pretty forgiving with build diversity / experimenting. Sure not every skill will be busting down uber abby's door but making it through the harbies / normal 300c baseline is quite doable on homebrews
yeyeye, I'm aware of build diversity and everything, it's why I play this game over grim dawn, I've never looked at a build but I push pretty damn high corruption on all the characters I've brought that high, I play last epoch because I am addicted to skill trees. I'm just kinda bored of only pressing 1 button yknow?
worked hard on this, let me know if you have any questions.
Oh i see, pardon my reading comprehension I'm applying for jobs, talking in discord, and spamming 3 different channels here
fair lol
My meds haven't kicked in for the day yet.
some questions
are obsidian resonances per character or per account?
do multiple of the same buffs/auras stack from different players (i.e. two paladins running holy aura)?
IN my limited experience, runemaster has some combo-esque more than 1 button gameplay
Per account.
You asked for it
whiteback ground flashbang L
Runemaster is so close to what I'm after, but their diversity falls off hard and especially their uniques so heavily reward basically spamming 1 invocation.
I want runemaster to be magicka, but it's not.
Void Cleave > Shield Bash > Shield Throw
Void Forge Guard
GET DOWN MR PRESIDENT
Magicka hell yeah, but understandable.
Yeah the unique design around them tends to pigeon hole
It leaves me kinda dissapointed, and I end up not actually touching runemaster at all because I prefer sorcerer's versatility. Which sucks, cause runemaster is cool as hell.
Conceptually my fav class for sure
should you always keep armour blessing for the age of winter?
my dissapointment trying to make that tri beam skill work 🥲
OKay okay... I've seen that void conversion cause it seems to drop so much, and thought about it. I did a John Epoch build not long ago that used shield throw+bash, but I never thought about how cursed void cleave + shield is....
Depends on build
playing rogue
but its a good general blessing
then that or the phys shred
well i got phy and cold res. so not sure to choose one of them or just keep the armour
I suppose what I'm asking for is a build that isn't automatically in ideal fantasyland? Even this one here, while really cool, just just pressing the same 3 buttons in a row repeatedly. My dream is to have to adapt for the situation for once.... I don't know if that's a thing ARPGs can support.
Have you tried POE 2 ?
Unironically ^
I am not even memeing
Might be more your cup of tea
I hated poe 1 with a passion..
and I'm very concerned about poe2 being a full price game + microtransactions
I hated poe 1 because the game was about spamming 1 move and clearing screens as fast as physically possible
It will be free to play when out of early access
They try to go as far as possible from this
Just browse the POE 1 subreddit for 5 minutes and you'll see the games dont quite align design-wise
you are banned
Is this the ultimate heresy a mod can commit
its pretty high up there
Meaningful combat! (I throw my spear and poison things 40 times and watch them all fall over dead)
But yeah you will have to contend with MTX, namely stash tabs at some point if you want any QOL
Trying to be helpful
lol
😛
Hello folks, 2 quickies:
- Is there a nemesis encounter on every monolith map? If no, roughly what %?
- Is there anything to do with extra set pieces and spare uniques? I've hoarded quite a few duplicates, do I just trash the worse ones?
Thanks.
@undone otter this would be a good opportunity to ban Eagles like you have teased in the past 🤣
i am the most innocent person. why would you..?
lol actually this isn't half bad
in tiers of memeness ofc
I'm going to make sure Spain is banned now, for going after Eagle like this. I'm a Falconer main, so I need to defend all birds.
Not every map, but frequent enough ill search most echos.
Set stuff will be handy after the update, spare uniques i keep one of each in case i use it as twink gear or make alts in the future.
Do that work together ??
What will extra set pieces be used for after the update?
just play runemaster in a build without invo
problem solved amirite?
Paladins are going to be unkillable, unless some very bugged mechanic happens by accident against them.
top anime betrayals
If you're going to be playing in Legacy coming next update on the 17th, there's new crafting options coming. You can shatter set items from a specific woven echo and use them in crafting.
Yeah, I was making a paladin last couple days and I'm already insanely tough with most of my healthbar being endurance threshold, huge healing my accident, and +75% resistances by accident.
1 - 50-65% or so
2 - look up the set disenchanting in 1.2
Paladin in 1.2 might just be able to tank Uber boss in that contest, even if the boss gets a "1 shot mechanic"
idk right now paladin has an easy time stacking irrelevant defensive stats and a hard time stacking relevant defensive stats
hello im currently around level 30 spellblade and i have a really good axe but i want to get a sword i was looking at the eye of reen is it worthtrying to get right now ?
although more and more builds had already been swapping to vengeance to somehow combat that
I see it as one in the same. The less I have to stack elemental/necrotic, the more I can use my gear to stack what remains.
next patch it remains to be seen especially between the new shield and general dot nerfs as dots were the most threatening mechanic by far
but other classes dont struggle with resists either while having much better defensive layers etc
not sure what you are really asking, "right now" as in when? Before the next patch? While you are leveling up? Before you swapped builds?
it's not too rare but you will probably spend a few days looking for it - once you are high enough level
right now as in being around level 30
You have no reasonable way to farm it at level 30, it's a level 70 item to begin with - can't drop in areas lower than level 70
so like on maxroll when hovering an item it shows the chances for like 1-4 lp drop chance but what about the base item 0 lp dropping
thank you thats kinda what i was wondering apprciate you

@fathom nacelle @south cape @dusky kite ty for the answers
Upon pondering my frustration a bit more, what I'm after in LE is a build where the correct decision for a situation isn't just "do your move". Is there ever a situation where you can have 2 different damaging moves that actually behave differently and one doesn't just overshadow the other entirely? There's so many offensive skills, yet I only find myself using like 1 at a time, the rest only when I can proc them off of the first, or to buff the first.
ty
Most builds in arpgs are min-maxed just by hyperfocusing on one damage dealing skill/ability, while the others are supporting the damage dealing ability to do more dmg or provide utility/defense
Offensive skills really boil down to 'Good single target' 'Good mob clear' 'Decent at both' the decision making criteria being 'is there a lot of monster' or 'is there one monster'
Although it's probably not meta in the slightest, I'm currently using earthquake and tempest strike and both are important and both are doing good damage
Ye, the best I think you can manage for a balance is having a cheap spam move you use inbetween your big cooldown/mana move
you definitely can use multiple, but when it comes to minmaxing it is likely not optimal in almost any arpg baring niche circumstances or cooldown issues
If there was more variety in how mobs were tuned, for example you know this mob to be weak to fire, but high phys res, maybe there would be more nuance in how you approach it. But arpgs generally aren't slow enough for this to be a factor,
Sounds like a slower RPG may be up your alley
But this doesn't solve my issue, because this is still brain-off, no decision making at all.
Don't think theres a solution here for that unfortunately.
Are there any slower ARPGs with this much build variety?
TS-spellQ used to be a meta build a couple of patches ago btw, still kinda good I guess
I know grim dawn is slower paced, not sure if it meets your criteria though, haven't played much myself.
this kind of approach is not popular because people hate to get brickwalled just because they rngd into shit affixes that brick their build
Agreed
Ye, from my attempts grim dawn falls super hard for the issue, cause you can just put all your points into 1 move and then buffs. LE encourages forces you to have exactly 5 skills and I love that. LE is better than any competitors I've seen at this.
PoE flashback of Reflect Elemental Damage
I don't mean this negatively but most arpgs are turn brain off power fantasy skinner boxes. If you don't enjoy that, it's perfectly fine and maybe even a good thing, but general RPGs might be more up your alley.
and tbh the arpg genre is fairly crystallized at simplistic builds with easy combat, if you want arpg with deeper combat try an mmo like Lost Ark (which just straight up has ARPG combat but good) or idk GW2 wich for most purposes is a 3d ARPG
rerolling t17s in my nightmares
Yeye, I run PF2e, LE is a dream for me because I like the huge building aspect and hyper-optimization, I just fall asleep having to grind a character to high level for the 10th time... it takes so long. I'm so excited for season 2 sharing un-empowered monolith progress.
unironically I think the direction of POE2 is good as some kind of a middle ground between completely brainless button mashing of most arpgs and actually thoughtful combat of mmos but their current state is pretty damn rough
they need another year at least
wym? The grind IS the fun part 😅
sorry to interrupt but is there a cap on ailment chance?
Agreed
Nope
Nope. 200% just means "apply 2 stacks when proc" IIRC
usually no, chance over 100% lets you apply two (or more) stacks per hit
What happens to a cycle / season character if they are HC and die, do they go to legacy or just softcore version of the cycle / season
Softcore cycle
thanks everyone i thought i read somewhere there was, ❤️
Really lokking forward to PoE2 when it's had more time in the oven and has some better crafting options for SSF than get lucky.
I'm all for endless content, and being able to continuously improve but... yawn, trying to get to the part of the game where I'm allowed to even target farm is so rough
I feel like besides Diablo 3, LE has the quickest pipeline from start to end game grind in my experience.
jokes on you, they just dont have any loot at all, getting lucky is not an option
But i'm an altoholic so ive min maxed the lower level process and know its just part of the process.
I know, and i love it for it, I gravitate towards LE is the best at all these things I am frustrated with, but it's still an arpg lol
How exactly does corruption catch up work? I have 130 corruption in one timeline and after running a few echos in another timeline, shade still didn't spawn
smae. I'm excited for dungeons actually giving you passive point rewards, I just hope needing to go back for idol slots isnt going to make it worthless in practice.
130 to 100 is too small of a difference, I'm not sure of the exact number but you'll start seeing it when your top mono is like 100+ corruption more than the one you are doing
In the current patch it takes me a little over 2 hours to 100% idol slot / passive points and into monos. Will be interesting to see if new tech comes that shortens even that.
If i take a node that increase mana cost of one ability, by lets say 50%, this will be calculated from base mana cost right ? or does that take other thing that can increase mana cost in consideration
Latter.
how parry actualy works in LE i heard it is like u get mini stuns contantly when u pary is it true?
what about that ministun part someone wrote it makes u stop casting/atacking/moving when u parry and it feels like ministuns
