Chaos is even more gambling than removals since not only you lose forging potential but may also need to use removal to get rid of it if the gamble fails resulting in way less FP to play with than if you'd just gamble with a removal in the first place

Best use for chaos that I found so far was fishing for rare shards like +level ones to shatter them

I use Removal on items that I wouldn't use unless it could be fixed with a lucky Removal. Sometimes it works : )

It's much less of a gamble than removal, removal has a high chance to outright brick your item. Chaos is the bread and butter of trying to make decent drops into something good

Always depends on what you're going for, though. If you really absolutely need one specific affix, then chaos is probably not the way to go (but I usually start with a crafting base that has the rare stuff on it first)

Why would you want to leech life if you gain ward for missing health you have.

No? If you heal health, you'll get less ward per second.

You instead want more health and more Life -> Ward. Those items work based on your total missing health. So if you have a larger health pool, it gives more. If you're healing with leech, then you'll have less missing health. If you find yourself healing too much, try to remove some leech or, if it works with your build, you can use an item like Twisted Heart as well

Unstable Core? Using that as an example, when you pull that up on LE Tools, look down at the bottom. It lists Random Drop on it. That means it can come from anywhere. You can get extra drop chances by looking for the special echo reward that it also mentions as "target farm", or from Rune of Ascendance, or from CoF Prophecies, etc.

Hey, anyone here know how to fix the quest "Lance of Heorot"?
I killed the ice guy ontop of the tree/mountain, but now no matter how many times
I talk to Yulia, the quest won't progress, furthermore, when I return to "the Scorched Grove"
The cutscene of heorot dying keeps repeating, and I can do the whole conversation there to get teleported
to Heoborea, but also doesn't allow me to progress
I tried relogging, and going through the whole place walking, gonna fully restart the game now and hope that works

Do you want an alternative to skip ahead? You could optionally just go into Monoliths now. Go to End of Time and walk to the right. You can do those to level up.

Later, when you find a Temporal Sanctum dungeon key, you can use that dungeon exit to get into Chapter 9.

There's more unlock quests available than you need to cap. Including more idol unlock quests in Chapter 9, so you can also finish up there

That's what I did this Cycle. Went to Chapter 5, got the Temporal Sanctum waypoint, went to Monoliths, then later got the last Idol unlocks in Chapter 9

You select the class, level up a bit, then select the mastery. Probably around 15-20 depending on how fast you're going. Note that you can't change your initial class or chosen mastery. You'd have to make a new character. You can change everything else.

On the screen where you select the dungeon tier, it will tell you the maximum required item level unique that can be done in that tier. It's something like: T1 up to 55, T2 65, T3 75, T4 100. It just looks at the unique, not the exalted item

Wraithlord is based on wraith skill tree. Wraits decay. You can invest points in wraith to slow the decay or eliminate it (I think) by limiting to just 2

Currently I'm trying to farm the World Splitter which drops from the Harbinger of Hatred in the empowered Black Sun timeline. I decided to go straight there after empowering and find out it's spawning the Harbinger of Defilement for me, which is supposed to spawn in the Fall of the Outcasts timeline. So I go there and get my corruption up to 160. I go to kill the boss and Defilement spawns there as well. I go back to Black Sun (130 corruption), and I have Defilement spawning there still. Anyone know what gives?

there are, yes, and the harbinger of obesity is the boss in both black sun and fall of the outcasts

@tardy flame do the encounter again and if it spawns the harbinger with the wrong name, use the in game bug report tool afterward so EHG gets the full logs from it

depends on the build but few general methods:

1. some classes have base critical chance in their passive trees, for example first passive in falconers tree gives 5% base crit to falcon and ballista.
2. weapons can roll affix that gives more base crit chance, this is separate from increased crit chance affix
3. certain skills have nodes in their skill tree that increases base crit for that skill or might even give it globally, for example warpath has node called 'cyclone of war' which gives global base crit while you are wielding a sword and channeling the skill.

Yes, but no. So the way Julra's drops work is they roll for LP like normal, which means they need to pass the roll for 1 LP to even get a chance to roll for 2 LP, need 2 LP to roll for 3 LP, etc. The unique part about her drops is that when they roll 0 LP, the game just gives them 1 LP. (It's this 'secret' 1 LP roll that means CF's double LP chance can still apply, and also why 2 LP feels so rare.)

Yeah I get what you mean. I have a rule recoloring all class specific affixes because I feel these are the most relevant for alts. If that gets too much I switch to all class specific affixes which give + skill points. This works for me because I don't really know in advance what I'm going to play. Farmed in 1.0 cycle for dozens of hours and invested the gold into dozens of stash tabs that cost several millions of gold
When that 1.0 cycle char move d to legacy those stash tabs were only transferred as remove only and the gold spent wasn't refunded so effectively lost all that time and gold invested farming to get usable storage space

In other words, progress and time spent was erased. Not done maliciously I'm sure but still not good.

Some bosses have phases where they're immune or they move and you can't hit them. Outside of that, I don't think they have cleanses. But your debuffs can drop off. It will vary by the boss.

Is there any more finesse or a clever strategy that will help me really hunt for the unique, or is this the best way to go about getting it?

Yeah, in practice I feel like I travel double the distance, but my shade ends up roughly three times better. Not backed by data, just my recent memory lol, someone out there probably has optimized it though

The farther out echoes also give you more stability, which is nice (plus Shade drops are better for farther ones)

Either way, it seems there's much less of a difference in distance when you don't have the "lower than max" bonus.

Wow congrats! I've got about ~eight 3-LP items, and I only use one (Xithara's Conundrum) I've never seen a 4 LP!

Of course, it would be good for ANY build, you get free poison resist unless you want gloves with better base type. But it's particularly good for some beastmaster builds, as they can have synergy with bees sometimes. Also though, bees I believe scale with attunement, so any build that has high attunement will get good damage from them

Well, Warpath consume Mana every second. If it consume more than what you regen you won't regen

So either you reduce the channel cost or you up your mana regen

If your Mana Regen isn't higher than the skill channel cost, your mana isn't going to go up. Look at investing into the Unchained and Reckless Spin skill passives

Is Arcane Ascendence worth getting? I am using a Fireball + Meteor + Focus + Flame Ward build at the moment. My fireball is insane right now. With AA, it does 25k dmg per second (im only lvl 50)

If I do use AA, should I get Acuity + buff it to 16 spells instead of 4? (4 literally lasts like 1 or 2 seconds lol)

You get to select your Mastery farther ahead. Around 15-20 depending on how fast you're going. So you can then choose Sorcerer, Runemaster, or Spell Blade. You're not going to really get to the "full potential" until the end game with a good set of items

If you'd like to play as a Sentinel instead, you'd need to restart with a new character.

It might help to run through the quest steps again 'on foot' so follow the path you should take until you reach the end of the quest, including talking to the NPCs you would need to.

If that doesn't work, you aren't missing out on much besides the Gold and Experience as you already have all the Passive points you can earn from Quests and have completed everything past this Quest.

An In Game Bug Report would still be helpful, though you won't need to check the 'Unable to Progress' option

Resists are just another defense layer. It's not as important in LE to be resist capped as it is in PoE. In LE, if you're 10 under cap then you just take 10% more damage of that type.

You need to raise your corruption in that timeline to be able to unlock the harbinger in it (see your quest log or FK faction panel)

You can. But the CoF alt can't equip MG items. (Items bought from the market has a MG tag.)
