i deleted a category, and for some reason it moved ALL the tabs from a totally different category to the category above
i get that bug a lot, not 100% sure what triggers it. it does resolve with a logout and in. something about the stash files locally mismatch game data or such after a change. i get it when making, renaming, or deleting a category.

The end rewards don't but every dungeon has a daily modifier that gives more of a particular type of item throughout the dungeon that cycles

Alright, so I stabalized my first monolith thingy and did the three quests (fought the abomination guy)... it looks like I can still do this monolith, but the stability reset. So I can just do every single node in this monolith, then be done with it? Or is this where I can work toward the outside and find a node to reset the whole thing? I con't see a corruption value on it, so I don't know if I made it more difficult or not by defeating the Abomination the first time...
Once you finish the quest on normal, move on to the next timeline. Rinse and repeat until empowered. Never try to do all the echoes (even on empowered). There are hundreds
Depends, on some skill that don't have any flat CRIT on their tree or crit synergy it can be suboptimal to go CRIT

once you start using glyphs of insight you also have to make some strange filters if you want to parse out items that can craft good experimentals

This is RV, it has a special item subtype which makes it easy
Red ring is a bit harder since several uniques share its subtype (silver ring)
So you discriminate by level req in that case - it takes 2 rules to highlight uniques that are not higher/lower level than all other uniques on the subtype, and you can't tell the difference between two uniques on the same subtype with the same level req (as far as I know)
So, Reign of Winter is a longbow... if I choose that subtype... then add all 5 affixes and require all 5, it will be guaranteed to be a Reign of Winter right?

Reign of Winter is a boss drop anyway, so unless you kill Heorot it will not drop
Reign is a level 70 longbow, so if you filter for a unique longbow above level 69, it'll be a reign of winter since the other longbow uniques are lower level
but yeah, as Vlad pointed out, it's a 50% drop from Heorot, so you'll know when it drops
gotta do above 69, since it's exactly 70
but otherwise yeah, it should work (might need to get rid of the character level dependency thing)

To my understanding resist is definitely nice, but not as important as getting a lot of health and even armor. cap is 75, but i think at end game everything is penetrating your resist so you technically need 150 to truely be capped. but again, i think health, crit avoidance, block, and armor are higher value
No, the 75% pen ignores overcap. It pens AFTER being capped.
ANy resist after 115 is effectively useless in any scenario.

Invisible mobs can be fixed with File Verification, the 'Option A' bug is fixed by deleting the .ini file - you might have to do both

Option 1 is the only viable option. Enemies do 1k to you lets say, you have 3k hp, some mobs have 100k+ hp. so even if you reflect 200% of damage, it barely scratches most monsters. Your flat thorns are only scaled by thornshell. The damage is typeless and unresisted, best way to describe it would be pure or true damage. % reflect follows th...

Hey any of you guys find a fix for the Lost Connection issue?
LE is a lot less punishing about not having resists capped than PoE. In PoE, having 74% resist means you take 26 damage from a hit of 100 compared to 25, or 4% more damage (26/25). In LE, having 74% resist means you take 101 damage from a hit of 100 (in a lvl 75+ zone) so you'd only be taking 1% more.
So, playing runemaster (runic,frostwall,flame ward,flame rush,runebolt) but my flame rush doesn't proc runic innovation every time. I got the epilogue on skill tree and sometimes flame rush procs runic innovation and sometimes doesn't. What am I missing?

maybe you were just throwing out a rando # with 65, probably thinking it cycled every 5, but just wanted to make sure.
you need one that is 55, or 59, or 63, or 67. 65 gives mana potion. it cycles between the 4 affixes for each lvl requirement, and there is no way to manipulate it.
crafting experimentals is more luck than science, but very predictable.

without any compensation
just to compare people with decent gear buffed get 10-15k ticks(which tick like once per second or twice), while crit version fully buffed deals 24k crits per hit with 4+attacks per second
while also perma stunning everything

or a build that utalizes all 3 transforms aka good at all but master of none
I know there are builds that utilize multiple transformations but they usually switch between them pretty often, like every few seconds or so

there are two separate lines
say you have 1000HP
1st line: you lose 5% of your hp, so after 1 second you have 950hp, after another second you lose 5% of 950 and so on
2nd line: say you have 1000HP and you lost 100, so you're currently at 900HP, you gain 5% of 100 as ward (which is your missing health) so you gain 5 ward
both of the above happen every second

The first and second line are two different stats
One makes you lose life dependant on your current life, and the other makes you gain ward based on your missing life
You could have one without the other and it'd still function, albeit a bit weird ^^
losing current life will get you to 1HP eventually, right?
It's kinda like how the hybrid health (giant) affix gives both % increased life and flat life, they're two different stats but on the same affix
it will balance out with your health regen, likely not a zero, but very low

But yes, it will not kill you
If you disable your hp Regen it'll go down to less than 1 but never 0

Yeah usually it'll reappear either on your mouse, drop on the ground or in your inventory
item scaling is a bit off at times, so I am not too mad about it. I kept this armor from like lvl 30 to 50

I am sorry about that. If it happens again - and I do hope it doesn't, this is a very rare issue - please make an in game bug report as your .log files will be attached.
It's also worth (if you can) equipping and unequipping another chest armor to see if that fixes it, as well as dropping another item on the floor and hitting Alt+Z or just Z to see if your loot filter is hiding the 'missing' gear.
Try to not change zones before you try that as anything on the floor will be lost when the instance resets.
do these nodes buff all my active crows or only a single one each proc?
yea i assumed that aswell but it is really hard to test. After playing around with huntsman on the target dummy I had severly different damage procs from different crows so I am kinda leaning towards the nodes not applying to every crow at once
after testing some more the vastly different damage procs might have originated from two attacks damaging simultaneously and thus having a bigger number

yeah just to be very clear: you don't have to do specific quests to get your rewards. You have just have to do enough quests
so you should never actually have to use that external source unless you're intentionally walking past quests

Why do you sometimes have to 'launch' the game 3-5 times from steam before it will actually open.
Seems it's only from the context menu it has issues. If you launch from within Steam itself it usually opens first try.
Likely endurance if you are not a ward build. It caps at 60% and is a very strong layer that scales with your health pool.
Weird. I use desktop shortcut, never had an issue other than it taking like 30s to launch. But that's an issue with all my Steam games for some reason.
My Steam will change my status to "Last Epoch", it shows the LE splash screen, that goes away, few seconds pass, then Steam just goes back to "Online"

You don't need to make a second character, you can re-run the monolith path and choose the other option on the same character
In the End of Time, all possible outcomes - Timelines - are converging, every choice you could of but didn't make is now available. Every God you didn't kill, there, to prove yourself against.
In the chaos that is the End, your choices can bring Stability or Corruption to the Timelines and you are rewarded for your decisions.
It's also a way to make a somewhat organic story telling

Either, iirc, you just have to do that timeline again - if fact you have to do both to unlock the next timeline in some cases and as Monolith progress doesn't carry over between characters, that would be a progress blocker if your couldn't re-do timelines with just one character
Both, you're never locked to your choice.
(Unlocking empowered also unlocks all waypoints on every monolith.)

i have a question. is the runic invocation node interlude (cast second rune spell on third rune cast) bugged or is it working as intended?
whenever i try to just cast the second rune without the third it does a weird leap animation and it doesnt cast it under the enemies, just around as it does when theres no enemys. ty

Even though your RAM seems fine, a generic Unity crash might not show actual usage so you can also try allocating more memory to see if it helps though that would be if you felt comfortable doing so.

I will say, even though the bleed one is definitely the strongest, and the cold conversion is bugged, cold swarm and low life swarm are both viable. They just take a lot more gear.

They normally don't clash (Eg, not the same affix slots), you need both, and the ratio depends on a lot of factors.

I would worry more about scarcity, the more you have of one multiplier the less of a total % increase to your damage it provides
Theoretically yes, but it's rare to have more flat than increase
Like, if you have 100 flat and 500% increase, and you're using a spell with standard base damage, then yes 50% increase is better than +9
But rare to be in that situation, largely because of what Kzb said, the two stats don't often compete for slots

Ah yeah. One thing to keep in mind, the % damage stuff in skill specs is almost always "more" rather than "increased", which is way better than increased or flat

So my friend and I are trying to play after a hiatus and we seem to be unable to load into echoes while in a party together. He can load fine on his own, I can load fine on my own. Together nothing happens. Any ideas how we can solve that. We deleted the graphic ini file already

To calc effective more damage, it's final / initial
For the two cases:
+10 damage: 130 / 120 = 1.083
50% increased: 650 / 600 = 1.083
In other words, both give 8.3% more damage in the end.

I did end up doing that. Checked my map and realized my 80 region was already unlocked but not the 85 region. The first option kept saying "will unlock 80 zone", so I went with the second one.

The story isn't finished yet, so you skip right to the endgame after Majasa or you can even enter monoliths right after getting your mastery.
do i need to do campaing with every character ?
And do i need to do secondary quests i have skipped during campaing? i have couple of them remaining, they say they give passive points but I havent gotten one after doing couple
you need to reach end of time on every character, then you can go straight into monos if you want and are strong enough. The remaining passive and idol slot unlocks are awarded based on how many quests you've done rather than being rewards for single specific quests, so you should eventually do enough to unlock them all. If you complete every side quest, that happens at the end of act 7
There's also the +1 all attributes for beating Majasa, but that is minor
^ last line...+1 to all stats is really good...free stats in general are really good...theres not really a reason NOT to finish the campaign...it goes by pretty quickly and free stats are free stats
No reason to not go into monos and level for a while first, before finishing the campaign, that way you can blast through the temporal sanctum and exit out into ch9, skipping ch8 in its entirety. Then you can blast through majasa for your +1 all and go back to monos
yah also not a bad plan...but i say always get that +1 haha...but something to keep in mind @desert pebble is that if you jump into monos early, they dont scale...iirc the mobs in that first one are 50, so w/e level you are you will be fighting lvl 50s (it is doable even at lvl like 20, just hard xD)

Hi guys, I am level 51 currently and dying to the first monos. I noticed that the rewards are gone when you die (which sucks). Do I need to be above lvl 58 to be comfortable on clearing or is it a "me" problem?
I have 751 health as lvl 51 rogue. Is it low?

You get a choice of two, unrelated to the selected one. I like it, personally. I rarely end up having to take a junk reward, unlike when picking the echo.
That sounds very low. The first mono also has a lot of phys and necrotic damage, so make sure your resists there are decent.
Also cap your endurance (not threshold) in addition to building more health. Eventually, you'll want crit mitigation, too, along with a few other layers like glancing blows.
is WW completely random or somewhat lenient to the char im playing?
seems too low...you should be around 1-1.3kish ideally heading into monoliths...check your gear, get some forging done and boost all that up...also it could be build based if you are still struggling after getting your HP up
I'm trying to make a loot filter to only show items with minion damage and similar. In made the first rull to show these under the Affix, and a second rule to hide all items. Is that not correct?
everything above one rule supersedes the ones below it

means you will see rare and magic items with minion stuff
if the order is swapped then you hide everything rare and below no matter what stats they are

if you want you can recolor or emphasize your minion stat stuff so its easy to see on the ground
and if you do that red recolor one i have up there, you can set it to recolor when you get 2 of the 3 hp stat affixes on the same item

It can not be influenced in any way. It is not always weighted the same as normal affixes, though, rare affixes are more common except on boots.
=/ sadly im not tech savvy enough to know how to fix that stuff...try googling the dll's and see what type of fixes are out there

No, that's not why (though it is a side effect). They implemented it to try & slow down the most powerful builds so they had to actually see some of the mechanics rather than being able to ignore any mechanics by dint of having massive dps.
those are the same thing, are they not? If they just wanted to make bosses longer to kill they could have given them more health. The reason to do this whole silly system instead is so that lower damage builds aren't left in the dust
I would argue no. Your statement "they did it to give lower dps builds a chance" says that that was the main focus of the change when it was only a side effect. They wanted to "nerf" the higher performing builds without nerfing them. It never had anything to do with lower performing builds (other than trying to find a way to make the better builds slower without totally fucking over the lower dps builds).
Well, it's a bit of both, no? The change was to nerf the top-end, and making it adaptive like that was so low-end builds would not be hurt as much by it.
So the weirdness of it is indeed to give the low-end builds a chance

But the original question was why the adaptive damage system exists, and that is clearly to be nice to low damage builds. Because again, if it wasn't for that the change could have just been to dump more health on bosses

I'm still of the opinion that the higher end builds were the problem that needed a solution (ie, the focus of the thing), rather than the lower end builds lack of dps being the problem (which it is but a separate one). If that were the case then they'd just buff the lower performing builds to the point that everyone could kill t4 dungeon bosses in a few seconds.
So the problem statement (good builds are too good) drove the solution (give bosses DR) & making it "adaptive" was a tweak with regards to the second order problem (bad builds suck & have low dps).

No, it's not a direct multiplier like that, but none of the boss-only drops are very rare on 300+ corruption

Yeah, we know close enough what the actual drop rates are. All boss drops like Heart of Uhkeiros are very reasonable to target farm at least 0 LP.
Like everything, it's not worth your time to target farm monoliths outside of empowered (level 100 content)
for HC another rules, I have 1 char who do 90lvl content. Other just die. For HC chance very need, that farming time, and great it y know what you farm and +- know how you get item.

that very good if i have static basic chance and can calculate how need repeat and how rarity i need, that fine where you say need 300+ corrupt, yes. but on HC that hard to stay safe 300+ where you dont have small uniques like as heart
Wait until you learn that it isn't pseudo-RNG and it's entirely possible (and not uncommon) that your 5% chance won't hit for 50 runs in a row :)
