Hey all, question. Arcane Ascendance has a node which causes it to only last for a certain amount of spells. Do triggered spells count (in other word, spells you do not cast directly)?

I've tested multiple things on that skill, and once again I don't remember my results. I will remember in 0.9 to keep a spreadsheet when I do a skill analysis and testing 😦

as with all ailments (that i'm aware of) if you have over 100% chance then you apply more than 1 stack at a time

Any place to find some good loot filters? Atm i'm forced to look at everything and pretty much everything either has wrong stats or is a downgrade for me.
making your own filters as you go is better, you would have no idea what a premade filter is hiding

Hey all, just a question. How much defenses are wise for higher corruption if you are using a channeled skill? (Like how much so that you don't get one shot)
Have a nice build now involving Meteor... but it involves staying still, which I don't really like as much
(It involves disintegrate which I believe prevents movement while it is cast)
Speaking as somebody who has never gone beyond 100ish, it would depend on the corruption level and echo modifiers you are taking right?
Higher corruption = higher base increased damage for monsters
If you then chain a bunch of increased damage modifiers, the numbers could get a bit silly.
Chain a bunch of increased chill chance and you might end up moving so slow you can't escape the light mage beam attack.
Seems to me that apart from generally increasing health and sustain, it entirely depends on your build, the level of corruption and the echoes you are taking.
Of course, it always helps to avoid being hit altogether and a character that stands still a lot will find that harder 😀
Yeah... I know the difficulty is probaly pretty choice based. But still... afraid I'm going to get one shot rather easy. I can kill things rather quickly... the numbers for the build are looking a little silly... probably pretty close to 6,000,000 dps or something like that. I also have a good amount of damage reduction... but I still am doubtful it's enough. Trying to avoid being one shot :p
Coming from a rather tanky lich build, I'm not quite sure what is enough :p. Currently on this one planning to have about 60% dr, and then another 50% or so from armor. No Flame award though. Health is pretty flexible at the moment, so I can add a good amount. Ward is so-so, not Twisted Heart levels, but maybe 600 or so a second worth. I don't think this is enough to prevent me from being blown up though to be honest.
The issue is DR is percentage based.
Assume you have 60% DR and enemy does 100 damage per hit. Awesome - you only took 40 per hit!
Now if corruption and echoes mean that enemy now does 1000 damage, well shit - you took 400 per hit.
As a player, You can only stack so much DR because you have limited slots (counting blessings and idols in this). Enemy damage (from corruption and modifiers) just keeps on going up.
As long as DR is percentage based (and I'm not suggesting it should be otherwise), you will eventually hit a point where enemy damage outscales your current DR and you need more health and more sustain.
So, max rolled T7 hybrid health on every slot you can put it, then don't get hit 😉
Health pool not large enough? Try a Twisted Heart today! Fuck having to worry about your health, you'll have ungodly amounts of ward that replenishes with minimal effort!

It is! But I probaly still can't run it. My mana generation can only really come though a channeled skill or though a melee strike... neither of which work with heart unfortunately :/. I wish they did though!

No, just cast your spells and then smack Mana Strike like twice for full mana

I suspect that this is an issue which goes away as more endgame systems are added to the game.
Build not great in echoes, run a dungeon. Terrible in dungeons, go to arena. Arena sucks arse, go to Universe X, the alternate timeline where you are the bad guy and Gaspar is a tiny dog that follows you around

i mean, you can still cheese 20k+ ward with rings only but it requires a bit more

Hi guys, it seems like I won't be able to use my left hand for the foreseeable future. Can you recommend any builds that do not require the left hand at all, but only the mouse hand? Unfortunately, I do not have a mouse with many buttons.
forged minions warpath forgeguard has been pretty easy if you have the sunforged helmet

Ahh cool 🙂 D&D for example attacks that hit is anything that a you roll a d20 to hit whereas things like fireball or disintegrate being AoE's with saving throws aren't considered attacks that hit.

I entered the 10k party, followed the instructions, and it says "Last Epoch [internaltest]" in my Steam library. That was two days ago, yet it did not download anything. When I start the game, then it says Beta 0.8.5f. Did I miss something in the instructions? Or does the download only start tomorrow?

you can switch back to the normal by going back to betas and switching to none

Is it worth it to do lower tier dungeons while still leveling?
Since they're also a requirement to get to higher-tier dungeons, it's worth running at least once (I like finishing my levelling in Soulfire - lv45)
I don't know that I'd run Arbor or Sanctum more than the once to unlock mid-tiers.
Yeah I'm talking more in a sense when you already have every tier unlocked
All of them have rewards that scale with Tier - so it's most worth your key to run them at the highest tier you can complete; I don't know that I'd ever run a lower-tier dungeon unless I wanted one specific reward from it, and wanted to just speedrun them for it (like creating a lv50 Legendary, or hunting for Soul Gambler's Fallacy) - things that are available from T1, and just need repetition to achieve.
I mean the keys are common enough that I can't really be bothered to "maximize the value" of each key. I'm more interested if it's more efficient to simply run monos for leveling rather than low tier dungeons
It's sort of a logical fallacy to compare and contrast them - by the time your build can "just run the dungeons", you're strong enough that your level doesn't matter, and you should just race to empowered, or high-tier dungeons. And if you're worried about levelling up to do things, you're probably on the hunt for something specific (or waiting to equip a unique) and need to work towards that to finish off the build.
Early monos tend to have very sparse packs and the rewards aren't exactly exciting either but dungeons seem to hold a certain "standard" both in terms of mobs density and rewards at the end
Monos are farm more efficient for leveling, if it's comparing the two for that aspect

You get access to XP rewards and it's just faster to clear echoes. You also have a better guidance in mono, which leads to less downtime backtracking and no mechanics to worry about other than kill mobs -> finish objective
Idk the criteria in which dungeons maximize efficiency in any category tbh. I'm not sure that's something someone has really tested, but I doubt it's much.
The exp rewards are relatively insignificant in early levels imo. Or at least I never really noticed their effects besides maybe getting like 5% towards my next level

You get further exalted drops in the dungeons above what grinding mono's provides. It's been mentioned before that farming exalted gear is better there.
Idk if it stands with loot changes in MP
Dungeons scale monsters through monster level, and increasing monster hp/damage. But remember, monos also give you an exp modifier and as far as I remember dungeons do not.
and you get more benefit in pushing monolith progression
So even if dungeons had more mobs, the mobs in echos are better in terms of value per mob anyways.
And even if they weren't there is more value in progressing monoliths. You lose time adjusting to hit dungeons for level efficiency, as you still have to do the content you avoided to begin with
It's kind of hard to make a case for dungeons other than something to go to when you want or need to for the specific rewards.

So basically dungeons will have "better" loot but in the long shot monos are more efficient
Dungeons have better loot - Monos have better progression; and in terms of XP (since that's where we started), Monos will be better.
I tend to run the campaign to the start of The Divine Era, then run Soulfire once or twice to hit 50, then jump into Monos to progress until Empowered.
Any tips on scaling survivability? I finally started the Empowered Monoliths, and while I can do them (currently), I no longer feel invincible. I suspect my biggest problem is all the "+throwing fire damage, fire damage taken increased" affixes I have, but I'm wondering if I'm better off scaling life, or armour, or, well, I'm not sure, because this is my first character.
be careful with the mods, especially early on. get crit avoidance or less dmg from crits as a priority, then look at defensive layers. Saves, HP, dodge/block/dmg reduc

I did resistances, because this is an ARPG, but didn't think about crit stuff
yeah... mobs dont really crit that much until you get into empowered monos or higher tier dungeons
I just know I can get really chunked by fire damage now. I also think I might need to start paying attention to monolith modifiers, kind of like PoE maps, which I had been mostly ignoring.
might want to see about items that convert fire dmg to something else, see if that helps too

it can go into the negative but you cant cast while you have negative mana
my entire build is based around always having negative mana, and I picked it in large part because that amused me (also, it seemed simple)

Well it should give than everything will be stored serverside, unless some serious exploits come to light, even if well developed games you can run into gamebreaking exploits, dupes etc. I have no idea if theyre gonna use some 3rd party anticheat
Everything is server authoritative so online will be free from that. Somebody will probably figure something out cuz someone always does, but overall should be clean

I used it to edit character names because... Reasons. I regret letting my friends name my characters.
I won't get into the details but I tried it and it was ridiculously easy to do anything you wanted to your save

Yeah I loved that the most about PoE but over the years the game took such a drastic turn I stopped playing and I found LE to be a great change of pace.
After thousands of hours, many supporter packs and years of fun I just didnt like the game anymore, pretty sad

Like, on my end I'm a massive sucker for Kingdom Hearts but I can fully admit that going back and playing some of the old games is not at all the same anymore. I still appreciate the fun they gave me back then but I can accept that I won't get that feeling again from them.

Most of the things I've really enjoyed are unique reliant. But I am a big fan of Bleed Shield Rush. Also fun is Lightning Blast Sorc. Or Shatterstrike Spellblade
I'm either starting some nonsense Rogue (Marksman probably and then praying to Lagon I get the new DA unique) or I'm starting with bleed Wolf Beastmaster.

It would, but where are you adding flat damage to Poison (the ailment)?
Yeah poison doesn't usually have a flat dmg component outside of DoT spells, which are usually specified.
It would more be for poison attacks.

Flask Throw is a Throwing Attack, not a spell - the only overlap is with Plague Wraiths - and now I want to try that...

Putrid Wraiths use Poison Spit, which is a Minion Poison Spell - not that you can use Rotmind and Lethal Concentration at the same time, but I'm curious if there's any other way to make that interaction do something.
Lethal Concentration works for skeletons only (the poison modifier affix) and Rotmind wouldn't apply regardless. I'm assuming that because of how minion stat types work
Ah - that's right. Was planning something stupid with Jade Dust and Wraiths/Death Knights earlier, (AoD, Dread Shade convert, Harvest, Wraiths, DKs) - plenty of poison to go around.
Forgot that the Poison Mods to Skeletons was that specific.
Okay, thought about this a little more. So melee damage is going to be changed to adaptive melee damage pretty soon. Would Lethal Concentration drag over the adaptive melee damage to the minion?
No - the "attack" portion of your Skeleton's actions are Physical, they proc the Poison Ailment, which is separate.
When Lethal Concentration says "Poison Mods" it's talking about the Poison Ailment modifiers (specifically Increased/More Poison Damage, Poison Duration, and Penetration with Poison)
Since the Skeletons won't have a "Poison Attack", there's no way to pull in Flat Damage to those attacks from Lethal Concentration.

Okay one final question. Bone Curse if cast on Bone Golem provides retaliation damage. Does that apply to the retaliation bone nova? (I doubt it does but I wanted to check)
It doesn't add damage - the Boneshatter retaliation can 'fire' (proc) from Bone Curse hitting your golem

There are some known issues with the quest triggers around it - if you're getting stuck, try going back to the prior zone, and walking through again.
Correct - the Thorns (retaliation) damage is only proc'd when "an enemy hits Your Bone Golem" - so that enemy hit starts the sequence, enemy takes some Thorns damage, possibly Procs Boneshatter, then your Bone Curse procs, which (probably guaranteed) can proc Boneshatter again.

Can your own Rip Blood trigger Bone Curse on the golem (for a double attack? (quadruple with blood splatter?))
I don't know - but I would assume so. If all you're doing is stacking Boneshatters for damage, you can definitely melt the server a bit with a pair of bone golems, Marrow Shards, and Bone Curse (even unspecced on an enemy)

Personally, and professionally, I would stay away from the buggy interactions between Bone Golems and Bone Curse. They're very powerful, but definitely won't make it to 1.0, and can cause serious issues for your teammates.
Got it! Yeah, that's a good point. Was debating going golem for the defenses, or rouge for some rather insane damage boosts... guess it'll probably be rogue though.
No reason you can't do both - I'm a huge fan of triple-minions and double-other; like my quick Poison Minion build above.

No link, just a quick loadout of skills that work well together (Aura of Decay, Harvest, Dread Shade, Summon Wraith, Summon Skeleton Mage -> Death Knights); using Lethal Concentration
Personally I dislike Minion-Death Seal, but if you're going to do it, it's probably the only viable build for Arch Death Knight.
Would Death Knight be better than rogue? (considering rouge's damage multipliers)
Though if you're pushing your Death Seal into the "My minion is a bomb" category, use Golems

You can use the NPC in town to respec your Class/Mastery trees, or respec your Skill Trees at any time (NPC costs gold, skills cost skill-XP to relevel them)
It feels a little punishing at low-levels, but by about 50 it's not so bad.

Generic multipliers in the skill applying the poisons, poison penetration, poison shred, and what you said.

but mostly its all about applying as many stacks at a time as you can... so you want to max out poison chance
200% chance applies 2 stacks every time, 300% applies 3, etc
poison duration makes each stack last longer == more dmg per stack

Speaking of shred and stuff what's the difference between resistance shred and resistance penetration?
The former is a stacking Debuff that subtracts 5% from the target's Resistance, the other is a flat value that reduces the target's effective resistance (they're additive together)
And effective resistance means...
"target resistance after all bonuses, penalties, and Shred have been applied"
it's just the current value of resistance on a mob at the time of the hit
mobs inherently have 0, unless they have modifiers from monoliths or being magic/rare types
So in short the final resistance value after all debuffs have been applied?
So if you have a mod that adds 20% Poison Resistance to enemies (not currently in the pool) and 20 stacks of Shred (your current cap, -100% Poison Resistance) your target has -80% Resistance, and 1% penetration gives you a total of -81% target Poison Resistance
Keep in mind that shred stacks are capped at 10 (down from 20) in the multiplayer event and in 0.9.

It is the passive that makes every 3rd attack consume bleed stacks and deal damage instantly instead

other then this game is working fine for me
I am almost certain this passive is bugged. Not only that my whole damage went down quite a bit, it also doesn't seem to work with the character passive that adds bleeding stacks every 3rd attack. Sadly I am only 25 and no towns has a dummy to test in a more controlled way so if anybody is playing or played with this passive, would like to know.
Did that little patch fix the Armoury quest?
It's often hard to see, since each 'tick' is an aggregate of all the bleed numbers, but when something triggers all of the damage at the same time, the Hit and Bleed often tick at the same time (there's a visual bug where simultaneous numbers aren't displaying correctly)
I can attest that it does work - proven by converting Bleed to Frostbite with Troaka's teeth, because you'll get stacks of bleed from other sources (like icicles) and then consume only the Frostbites.
That is interesting. The enemies that are melting without the passive aren't really taking any damage with the passive
Hopefully we can make it to a town with a dummy tomorrow with my friend so I can test it more but my damage noticeably drops with the passive and I don't just mean the numbers on the screen. I can feel how it becomes significantly worse.

If your friend hasn't already, try having them go through the event registration again, just in case it didn't register them correctly. If they only recently registered, it can sometimes take a bit of time for their account to be enabled for the event. So if they just keep trying they should be able to get in
Not inherently. Minions scale with minion stats. If the weapon provides a stat which says "for minions", or "for skeletons", or "for totems", it would apply as stated. However stats for the player do not transfer over to minions aside from attributes (strength, attunement, etc) which can be seen by holding alt and hovering the minion ability.

There isn't. As long as you are in the radius of the kill, you get experience. No splitting XP amongst players either. Just independent XP, like single player.

Other than the generic "you don't gain as much xp when in a zone too high or low level" you're fine; EHG has even said they enjoy watching people play around in weird ways (like jump into monos at level 1, and see if they can stay alive long enough to ding 50...)
Just keep in mind that if you go back, You won't get as much xp (overlevelled) and if you pull them forward, they'll have their bonus xp capped at +5 levels above them.

hey everybody, i just have a question about the raptor. the node that gives him rampage whenever he "encounters" a boss, will he automatically enter rampage once he has exited the state because he is still in the presence of a rare or boss minion?

They are often longer than the standard echoes, so I tend to save them up. It's not substantially longer though, so ... do whatever you finds most fun or works best for you?

Ah. Once you have completed the echo (and the Portal is available), building further bonus stability is up to you (its not mandatory).
Generally, many people choose not to do so as stability rewards for running multiple echoes on a row will generally be greater than the time spent building bonus stability.
That said, horses for courses.
I do the max stability for the loot 😄 more enemy slain = more drop
it's a good indicator, that most of the loot is farmed on that map

Generally speaking, crafted rares and exalts are more than enough to get you right into the end game systems.
Uniques and legendary items are not mandatory (unless you want specific interactions only enabled through them, such as damage type conversion and other examples)
That said, you can make zany powerful legendary items by combining those uniques with the exalted items (assuming the unique has Legendary Potential)
Also, some uniques are just straight up great.

The legendary thing in game guide was confusing
it seemed to say that if I take an exalted item with 4 stats and a unique with legendary potential to that place i'd have a a 1 in 4 chance of the unique gaining the stat I want off the exalted item and a 3 in 4 chance of ending up with a useless garbage legendary with a stat off the exalted that I have no use for?
Sometimes a unique will drop with Legendary Potential. You can combine these Exalted (purple) items to make Legendary (red) items.
To combine them, you have to beat the Temporal Sanctum dungeon. At the end you can make one Legendary.
There is a chest there so you can access your stash.
Yes. An LP1 item will transfer one of the affixes from the Exalted (not including sealed affixes) to the Unique and create a Legendary.

Some bases are good for certain builds. Once your craft on it, the level will increase.
You can also decrease the level requirement of an item using Rune of Removal (if you love a good gamble :D)

I don't see why a level 50 mage for example would use say a level 15 yellow staff with 20 crafting potential instead of a level 40 yellow with 20 crafting potential. Seems to me the lvl 15 item would forever have low adaptive spell damage and the lvl 40 yellow would have higher stats already that can be built up alot higher
Though it is useful that I can run around on my level 60 and get gear for my low level characters to use when leveling
Not all bases are made equal.
E.g. Cultists Blade is a lvl 15 one handed base with void damage
If you are building around void damage you might want to use it rather than some other 1h sword base.
It also has a higher attack rate than some other 1h swords

To be fair, when you are starting to look at specific bases for your gear, you are going deeper than you might otherwise need to if you just want to smash non-empowered monos like me 😀
But when you say base isn't that the level it would require to use if the item was a white with no stats? The level i'm talking about is the level the gear says you can equip and use it with all the stats of a yellow item already on it

All I'll say is I've taken items with a requirement of level 20 and turned them into items with a requirement of 70 and near BiS items for my characters before
I expected gear that low to stop dropping and gear dropping to mostly need around my level to use

Well yellows only ever have around 20 crafting potential and that disappears within about 4 or 5 upgrades which could upgrade one affix all the way but a yellow that is my level can end up with like 4 T6 affixes after crafting instead of just 1 T5 or T6 affix and 3 T1 affixes right? Plus the lower base had things like lower armour or adaptive spell damage too. Not sure what i'm missing that would make a single T6 affix and 3 T1 affixes better than 4 T6 affixes
I get yellows with like 35-40 FP in endgame

most yellows so far have been low to mid 20's and I just got my first with 28 that wasn't a purple

this has proved impossible to beat lol dmg over time and elemental damage over time both boost disintegrate so 358% dmg to disintegrate needs to be on anything that replaces it xD

So how do some skill specializations get more points than others?
All skills naturally cap at 20 points (there might still be a couple that have no trees, they're being worked on). You can go past this cap with specific affixes that add levels to the skill.
I'm looking at a build and it has 20 spent in teleport, focus and flame ward but somehow disintegrate has 21 spent and static orb has 23 spent in it.
does that mean gear can give more points to spend in the specializations? What happens when you change gear?

My understanding from what others have said is the more increased you have the less of an impact it has in the total, so that's why you mix damage sources between increased, added, more, and other things if available
all added flat damage is multiplied by the sum of all matching % inc ... so if you sit at 1000% inc allready adding another 100% is less impactfull than it was at 400%
and base damage of many skills is really really low so any added flat damage is usually quite a big boost 😉

There are a handful of taunts yeah. Decoy, Summon Bear, Dread Shade, Teleport, Eterra's Blessing
I think not classical ”hey hit me” is implemented, i reckon because that would work only in MP. But when i think about it Taunt with retalation/thorn damage would be cool and it would work on Solo gameplay

well one of them are "hide ilvl 10 below char 19 types" and there are 2 more one for ilvl 20 and one for ilvl 40 below

belts, accessories and idols are the things not ticked in it but all other gear is
Belts, idols, and accessories don't follow the same rules for that because their bases are pretty rigid
then there is a hide boots with 121 affixes when character is lvl 60 to 100
Likely hiding a bunch of stuff to make it super strict on what shows
and a whole bunch of ones for hiding x number of subtypes of 1h weapons with a rule for each like 1h swords, 1h maces character dependant on being level 85 to 100
with a single show one in there for showing 13 subtypes of 2h spears
all of those are unticked
My best guess without a ton of context is that they're for making things extra strict

WIthout knowing what the "121 Affixes" are for it, that's a good question. I'd say read through that and make sure there aren't any affixes there you want hidden (It probably checks everything except Movespeed, Hybrid Health, and Vitality)
the 121 affixes is everything but movement speed
so all feet without movment speed get hidden if you turn it on
Then that's designed to be trimmed to include the affixes you also want - figure out what those are before hiding everything else

There's very few unique items that have an "upgraded" version of them, I don't believe that is one of them

Legendary potential is really the intended way for low level uniques to be good in the endgame
The life gain on companion hit on that axe can be really nice, make you nigh unkillable

Shield Bladedancer is def a thing, sometimes you have insane damage and just need that defense. There is even a set for using one.
Yeah, that one looked good, but doesn't work on bosses, and is also kinda unrealiable, so you're losing on the huge multi a big part of the time

Is it possible to target farm a certain kind of exalted base type?
I see how to target a base type of unique, but not sure how you would go about for exalteds

Are some DoT's a bit out of tune? I remember hearing poison was, but I take an enormous amount of damage from a necrotic DoT on a boss fight.

Poison was... but it's gonna be capped. Boss DoTs tend to hit a bit hard... but that's more area DoTs normally.

Hi guys, sorry for messing up the chat I just wanted to ask is the multiplayer weekend test still active and if so do I just hop in the game with my gf or was there some preapproval necessary?
I found that link but it is forcing me to sign in with steam and both me and my gf bought the game directly via EHG website and we dont wanna redeem the game on steam. We wanna stay on the native client. Is it not possible for us to join if we are not on steam?

has anyone had an issue in the pack the server party where you cannot connect to the server. As soon as i load my character and load into town, it gives me an error about cannot connect to the game server and I get booted back to the character select screen

no it does exactly as it says, whatever transplant uses to be cast is exactly what you'll regen over 4 seconds
Correct - it doesn't scale at all, except with the Health Cost of Transplant.

So if I want to use that with Vessel of Strife, best bet is to scale max health + cooldown. And rely on leech to keep myself top off.
my friend just got the game for this multiplayer event. They have re-registered a dozen times, but keep getting the "online play unavailable" screen after character creation. They have the default Last Epoch logo for their desktop shortcut, and I have a logo of a globe as shown. only difference I can see. Anyone know a fix other than to re-register? have tried completely closing and relaunching steam, also have uninstalled and reinstalled twice for them.

Hey all, another question. You can make Mage's Lightning Blast chain to allies. If this chains against you, does this count as a 'hit' on you? Kind of like how Rip Blood counts as a hit on minions (or well, I guess it's a little different). That would be particularly interesting... because it would create an infinite chain of lightning

I can't get full context cuz I'm at work, but Ignivar + Gambler's is usually the way people build Disintegrate to my knowledge.
Yeah, I know. Trying to look at an alternate way of getting crit chance. Disintegrate has like a... 5x boost in damage in the beta compared to what it did. It's kinda crazy.
Okay question about lightning blast. It can chain, and you can make it chain to allies. Does it act like ricochet where it can then bounce between you and the enemy or does it act like abyssal echoes where each chain must be a new target?

Funny you say that. I play on Medium and they seemed better 😀 there was somebody else saying they think Low settings are not as good as they were previously. What settings are you using?
they did change graphics but mostly had new and more interesting graphics.
they did improve performance tho while they were at it.

Anyone know what skill or passive this 'Damage Boost' ailment comes from? Seems to activate on rare mobs on spellblade. Same icon as Enchant Weapon but I can't seem to find what's causing it.

after playing a bit I think the "image" part is kinda simplified, sharpened a bit and more "neat" at least to me but for sure they improved the color vibrance or saturation of the game. overall I like it though 😄

No, the points disappearing is a visual bug. They're still there to be put in it just doesn't show them right. Basically nothing about skill levels is tracking properly

I've resigned like 4 times now, reset steam, logged out and logged back in, and even restarted my computer but nothing is fixing it. I even tried signing up on a alt account and nada

Not sure if it was shared anywhere but you can try testing your connection to login server IP. Maybe ask in dev chat if they can share it? In theory I can simply check network packets to see IP so it is not like a private thing.

Okay, I just realized something particularly overpowered, regarding closed circuit... but it requires 2 players.
1 player is built to allow as many closed circuit chains as possible, and has the node that causes all chains to hit the same target
If you target your ally repeatedly with lightning blast, it's possible to build 4800% increased critical strike chance. (6 hits, 5 times a second or so, each adding 40% increased crit chance, for 4 seconds)
The other teammate is running ivgar's disintigrate
It already can be built to do about 2/meteors a second worth of damage on the beta patch.
Now you are going to do about 3-4 times that.

you find potions on the ground via killing monsters. the default bind is 1 (one). you can only use them when you are missing health, and they are automatically used if you run over one while your potions are full

Looking for some advice here. I am a new player and started the multiplayer test with the "Strength Stacking Cold DoT Werebear Build" guide. Now I discover the rage management is revolved around a node "Garden of Rage" which USED to give Rage per Second, it seems in the current multiplayer client this skill has been reworked and no longer auto generates rage. Now it relies on vines hitting enemies. The result of this change is that the build seems to not generate enough rage to sustain Werebear form. Anyone has some tips on improving the rage situation or should I consider this build beyond repair?
If you enjoyed playing wearbear, my recommendation is to keep playing it and try a few different things out - you can respec your passives (for cheap $$) and skills re-level quickly.
I transitioned quite late to werebear, I haven't fully experienced it properly yet, so I am keen to discover more. Do you have any recommendations for alternative werebear builds?

Why "ssf" and not just "sf", there is no need to specify "self" because "solo" was already specified, so by definition of the word solo you would by default, be by yourself.

Does penetration with ailments and resistance shred work the same? Like if I have 400% cold penetration with frostbite from Snowdrift and put 10 stacks of cold resistance shred on a boss am I just going to -420% resistance or do they interact more favorably?
Shred reduces resistances without considering cap while penetration starts from cap if capped. For example if enemy has 90 res, will be capped at 75, 10 penetration will make it 65 while 10 shred will make it 80, which is still 75
Resistance capped monsters are really rare in this game though
Oh another thing, shred is an ailment. So now that MP is here, your shred will help other players too.
They're additive together as they affect the same stat (how much damage the mob takes)

No, the 75% cap you're talking about is only for mobs area-level penetration on the player's resists, it has nothing to do with the player penetrating mobs resists (which are usually zero unless specified)
So if a monster somehow gets 90 res, your 10 pen won't do anything?

it looks like the steam client is offline. I'm trying to solve a slightly different problem, I specifically turned on the offline mode of Steam, after which I ran into the same thing as you
For campaign how long does it take on average? What level are you when completed? What is the max level? And how can you tell if your online or offline? Or is everything online?
campaign length is a difficult question because the answer could vary wildly, depending on if you complete dungeons (which skip certain sections), play with friends (which massively increases how fast you can do it), or even if you finish the campaign at all (you can start endgame content without finishing the campaign)
max level is 100, and if you are in the beta test right now, that is online
If you are not really speedrunning you can expect it to take 5-8 hours on most builds and you'll be in range of level 60-65. I'm pretty sure that they have bumped up the exp gain from act 1 mobs in this beta, as I ended up around level 25-27 upon hitting end of time/subclass select, as opposed to more of 20-22 as I remember it from live.
That said you have no real reason to complete the campaign beyond the point where you unlock all bonus skill points and idol slots, which you can do by the end of heorborea arc (act 6?). Other than for the (currently still incomplete) story that is.

He spawns pools of flashy red stuff on the ground that deals percentage damage to your health. You gotta watch out for those.
How would I tell if a minion necromancer that does physical and necrotic damage is more physical or necrotic?

If you were to convert all potion heal to ward and use any items that constantly drain current health. Does walking over potion while at max capacity will consume it?
there is no "max" for Ward ... and actually the portion would most likley still hurt you
guess you cant reach enough % to not regain too much life

Hi guys, just came back with a couple friends to test multiplayer, and was the leveling section (1-40ish) always so… risk-free? We didn’t try to optimize anything , but mobs and bosses feels they lack hp and/or they are too few of them
Makes the leveling pretty uneventful, mostly running from little pack of mob to the next
They said they buffed monster health a bit for party play after closed tests and are open to feedback so would be best if you provided feedback.

I find it a bit better solo, especially if i’m not looking for performing build and just pick wtv looks fun. But even with this very simple mindset, in multiplayer, it’s steamroll baby

Because mobs scale hp by 50% per player so without synergies you are already dealing more damage than before
