Is it possible to play offline?
It is only offline so far
No i can see people in chat. I know multiplayer isnt out yet
Once you've logged in you can pull your internet cable out to be properly offline. The online aspect is only for the login & chat, everything else about the game (including the save files) is done by your pc.
Quick question about healing interactions before I spec into this:
Judgement creates consecrated ground that heals allies, Prayer gives a buff when you heal yourself or allies.
Since I'm currently playing solo and judgement only mentions allies will it proc prayer?
Here's a forum post that says yes it heals you because it's a ground effect you stand in. This is from a couple years ago, though https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/judgment-allies/24380
So even though consecrated ground technically isn't healing myself, getting healed from it would still proc prayer I see, hopefully the info is still accurate since the thread is 2 years old

Not sure if this is the right place, im on my first chracter made it to level 77 but im eluded by the Nib relic that i would like for shatterstrike, what farming methods do i have available for this item? It shows a monolith that you can target farm from but i have had monolith unique loot from dungeons ect... so am i able to get that elsewhere too?
The vast majority of uniques are global drops, but each timeline can spawn echoes with the reward type "unique/set <item type>". For relics, that is The Last Ruin timeline.
So you could get Nib from any zone that is a high enough level to drop it
im doing level 80 atm, how do i know what level is high enough? cheers for the help so far too!
The zone level just needs to be higher level than the required level to equip the item

Set it to No Filter, press the + button, then either:
A. If you have the.xml file, push the open filters folder button and copy the .xml file into that folder.
B. If you're copying it from the clip board, push that button.
Is "The Last Laugh" something pretty much everyone has in their inventory when going for boss kills? 25% culls seem exceptionally good. 33% more effective damage for 8 inventory slots.
New to the game, wondering what the typical new character route is. I.e. rush to monos, farm till level x, get rest of passives? Is there an optimal place per leveling tier?
Oh and if you buy the game on steam, do you still get the supporter pack stuff?

not really, no. The fastest boss killers kill things too fast for a 25% cull to be worth the time spent to weapon swap vs those builds having access to 15% and 18% culls
maybe if you have really low dps you'd consider it?
If you get a solid legendary last laugh its not a horrible choice
25% cull is basically 33% more damage which is nothing to sneeze at
tbh if you feel like using gearswap cull is worth maybe its better to switch the build or upgrade damage, i dont think there is any point doing that unless you are doing super high corruption bosses or smth
only compared to 0% cull tho right?
most builds have access to at least 15% culls tho

13% more relative to 15% cull, 20% more relative to 10% cull. And it does potentially save you investment into that cull.

personally, I think getting the value/stats of gear you're not wearing shouldn't be a thing period. If you swap to gear with worse minion stats, your minions should get worse.
the point is to make the opportunity cost decisions on what gear to use and what stats you need, not get the best of two sets
My abom build uses the skeleton resummon shield to get a very high number of minions into it (like 150-400). Imagine if I could switch that shield out for some kind of massive minion attack speed source or something.
and just use it to summon
its something you gotta take on a case by case basis
That's a situation that would need to be solved seperately
probably by way of just making abom not a walking potential abuse case for stuff like that

if I have to channel the skill for like 2 minutes straight just to summon the minion every few monos it kinda keeps itself in check

making a skill good because it sucks to set up/use isn't a great place to be
abom feels like it could be focused down a bit more to its core fantasy to keep the idea of assembling a super minion out of others without the need for super long channels or constant resummons
it's fine if it's still a temporary minion, but the temporary-ness of it shouldn't interrupt the flow of gameplay for a properly constructed build

Yeah imo the core is a problem though. How do you balance it? if its meant to like eat all active minions and last 40 seconds or whatever then its totally pointless unless it is dealing more damage and has better consistency than all the things it ate combined

I think something like Reaper would work way better in LE, because LE doesn't have spectres and animate guardian to worry about
by design abom is stripping a pseudo defensive layer out to gobble up those other pets
Map clear with abom also holds it back. The thing takes up like 1/8th the screen and still has same range as a melee skeleton
I don't think the defense is honestly that much of a consideration
so if you're trading safety for strength, it should be a reasonable tradeoff
wraiths is by far the best necro build atm and its minions don't really provide any of that defensive layer
but you can control where they are spawned if they're stationary
they just clear like a screen and a half radius and do giga single target
so you can kinda wall yourself off

you just dump a cluster of wraiths, put a drain life on top of them, and transplant to the next screen and do it again
I like the non combat summon style of abom though. Feels fun sitting in eot like some kind of mad scientist stitching together random crap, taking it through 3 monos, and then doing it again.
I very much do use them as meatshields whenever I can
like my setup is inconsistent, so it sometimes takes a few tries to get a good one. If I have a very sketchy set of mono mods I'll resummon it a few times fishing for a good one
its annoying but I find myself enjoying it

so you could put dread shade, infernal shade, death seal all onto your abom
and it made it do like 10x more damage

that was with 0 minion damage on gear
no death rattle, etc
abom doesnt want any minion damage anyway
ye, but 960k with no minion focus, basically. I'm pretty sure I put it together on my max ward goal character
100 minions consumed is 3000% increased damage. I dont care how good your gear is you arent gonna make a significant difference on that part. Gotta focus on the other layers

before they nuked retention
and soul feast meant you just had like 100k all the time during arena waves

I feel like retention is honestly in a decent place now, especially with how many more sources of generation we have compared to the past
and things like shackles to scale retention to the moon

you get more ehp stacking armour or endurance threshold than you do stacking retention outside the extreme high end with 3lp exsang and last steps

unless I am mistaken, Flayers drops from empowered Abominations, normal Abomination is only level 58.... it may drop if you increase corruption to 50 but thats not a good strategy for normal monoliths - its better to push to empowered levels...

what are some really OP builds currently that will likely get nerfed next patch? just got 100 lvl on my bowmage, want to try something else.
The only one for sure to get nerfed are the poison based ones.. like Rogue Umbral Blades Poison DoT...
Basically anything that has something to do with poison
Some of the other op builds may get a tweak or two, but nothing that I would class as a nerf based on what devs have said... e.g. they like VK Dorb builds so its unlikely to get nerfed even tho is OP generally.. but then again, it doesnt do silly damage like the Poison builds
The devs seem to be ok with most stuff that you'd consider "OP" to be honest

hmm, how can i gauge power of a build? im pretty comfortably running 190 corruption echoes, but start to get low on dmg.
i want something to be able to push further
T4 Julra dungeon and 300 corruption are good targets to aim for
imho
most builds should be able to get to 150-200 corruption with varying levels of success
i guess ill skip poison, as i dont want to go rogue again.
Also if you want more damage generally the most efficient way to scale damage is to add some flat damage affixes
If you want to push further then try the VK Dorb builds, Sentinel MA builds (there are variations)...Pally Smite builds... (ignoring rogue as requested)... The Druid builds are also strong... I am not a fan of the Necro/lich builds but they can also push farther than 190 corruption.... generally lots of possibilities really... all depends on you
i've been running with the same gear for the past 10ish lvls. and not finding much upgrades. dont know if lootfilter is wrong or something else.

Gear starts to get harder to find in later levels if you only rely on drops - thats where crafting takes over.... and yes, lootfilters can be dangerous and hide things that are actually good so be careful making them too complicated

Don't neglect the power of crafting. Sometimes a very good rare is better than a mediocre exalt/unique
Careful with those - they can be a little strict - especially for crafting
What I tend to do is try to find something with 1-2 good high tier affixes as a base to start with and try to upgrade/chaos anything bad
Chaos glyphs have a surprisingly high chance of rolling rare affixes so they're actually pretty good to try and "fix" an item
Well one of the most obvious things would be to upgrade your uniques with LP to legendaries
You also seem to focus on dex a little bit too much
Still if you'd get a bit of increased cold / flat cold you'd probably end up with much better dps. The conversion is 1 to 1 so extra 8 flat cold for example won't do much compared to 100% increased cold
Although iirc the icicle also gets 4% increased per dex
getting some inc cold is good to go alongside the dex but the ratio you want is pretty complicated
It's still probably less than if you'd get a high tier cold damage affix
This one is most definitely better on Dex...

because of all the scaling in various places
Of course dex is what you'll mainly want but leaning too much into dex means you don't have anything else to scale the damage
So you end up with very high flat damage with no multipliers to go with it
But dex is a multiplier as well as flat
Yip.. and you have spare prefix slots so increased damage is there too..
I'd rather get crit than inc damage on those slots
I guess you'd need to calculate if it's better to have flat damage and the small % bonus from dex rather than just straight up cold %
the main thing for scaling damage is balancing your investment between flat, increased, pen, crit chance, crit multi, and attack speed.
I don't see any crit affixes on their gear so I'm assuming they don't scale crits
If they have crit vuln then they probs are critting a lot
I think the calcs have been done in the #🔪┃rogue section and on the forum/build guides... I have played this a few times and dex is, imho, the way to go... and thats not even considering the defensive scaling it brings...

YEah... thats the mechanic thats gonna get nerfed... Its likely still going to be strong because they are only taking away part of the poison issue.... The other build for LE_Builds is more specific to the Umbral Blades version but similar in end goal... i.e. poison baby...

I am currently at 250 as VK DE w/o anti-crit blessing and the unique shield - I jsut got burned out trying to target farm the shield and want to check on sth else in the meantime
Push 300 easily? FG MA build, VK Devouring Orb ... they can both do it VERY easily - i have done this myself... pretty sure that the Rogue builds can to, but because of their defence it probably requires more active gameplay when you get to the higher levels...
300 corruption base enemy damage bonus is 150% more, equivalent to 200 corruption + 25% enemy damage inc. You can tell by looking at the echo mods values and how much damage the character take in those build videos.
Why do you need crit avoidance blessing on vk?
Dunno, ppl say its essential after 300+ corruption but I may also have asked wrong ppl 😄

U do that and 1 affix on gear
And yes you need to cap it for high corruption

I would say critical strike avoidance is great, because there are a lot of monoliths that have insane amounts of crit, and it essentially make those free monolith nodes. You can get a load of Crit avoidance gear like Misha is saying, but it depends on what items you end up using.

Yes it will have “cycles” (name causing some discussion right now) like seasons

I just started the game and decided to roll a hardcore character for the fun of it, died somewhere during the campaign and figured I'd be better off playing SC. But now I have a bunch of crafting materials on hardcore that I'd like to have, is there a way to move those to sc? I'm aware I could make a new HC character and rip it but cant figure out how to take them out of crafting inventory
Nope, transferring them via killing off your characters is the only way to do it.

Also some passive nodes in its tree
They have conflicting tooltips between the two, not sure off the top of my head which is the correct one
so, the echos only ever repeat the attack that created them
so while i'm warpathing, the echoes it creates won't use voidcleve, etc

I need some help with survivability. Running VK Warpath. I have 1.6k health, 1.3k armour, and all resists capped other than poison. I die all the time though, at 62 timeline rn. Cannot kill Shade either. Any ideas? Should I just roll health on my non-unique gear?

my guess is that you may have over prioritized resist if you've got everything capped at that point

Can anyone tell me how the following interaction is coded? Shadow Daggers says "damage always critical strikes" and in lastepochtools it has 100% crit rate. Now if I use the Singularity Idol it says "cannot deal critical strikes" and cites a 100% less crit rate. What is the order of operation? Does Shadow Daggers crit with it or not?

Yeah, the "always crits" adds 100% flat crit chance to Shadow Daggers, the Singularity idol then multiplies that by 0.

Some things are kind of similar. Like a Rune of Ascendancy is like a PoE Ancient Orb. Rune of Removal is like Orb of Annulment.

I'd probably look to upgrade relic to argent crest and then work on getting hybrid health on belt and gloves

A big thing to keep in mind is that it's perfectly ok to be undercapped on resists
resists are significantly less important compared to some other games in the genre

I was dying a lot and saw the damage types and thought the solution is capping resists
being at 0% resist means you take 75% increased damage in LE
whereas in something like PoE being at 0% means you're taking 400% increased damage
(compared to being at 75% resist)

it's a bug, you have to close and reopen the game I think, then you can pick it up

one of those should be bound to toggle filter and item labels
it's possible you toggled them off accidentally or your filter is otherwise hiding the item

most affix sources of +x levels of Skill also have a hybrid mod to increase damage of that type of skill, for example + levels of Multistrike comes with % Increased Melee Damage
the only remotely close thing on items is 2 rage gained on kill while in werebear form.

That chest is controlled by killing more monsters - and no, it resets each time you enter an Echo, so don't try to "stack it up"
The more monsters you kill in that echo, the better the rewards will be from the chest - note, though, that the Echo Specific rewards aren't scaled by enemies defeated (the Glowing orb to the left)

I'm a fan of Rive - one affix on your helm and it's a great recovery skill that actually does a ton of damage - Smite is also a big go-to for caster builds.

it's worth using right away IMO. common shards (things like life, attributes, resistances, basic damage stats) are found in huge numbers later on so you don't need to save them up, and spending a few on a decent item you find can provide a significant damage or survivability boost. there's not really a downside
First playthrough probably not terribly useful since you have few shards, but later on you'll collect so many shards that you'll use it a lot on new characters

Character, items don't have a level like in PoE
That sounds like a default aspect ratio issue. They don’t cover anything, it’s likely your screen compensating like watching a dvd blue ray on a tv at an aspect ratio not native to the screen. You should be able to find a setting that negates this , either in-game resolution or GPU driver / windows config or possibly a function on your monitor that can adjust.

Does last epoch have anything like a PoB (build planner)? Since it was said a few times the damage tooltip can be inaccurate and not sure if it takes crit chance/multi into account, a planner would make life a bit easier to figure out whether I get more from +1 melee or +1% physical for instance

respec… yes. you can change anything except your mastery choice.. either with gold (passives) of xp re-earned (for skill respecs)

@acoustic thicket The formula for crit multi is simple. If you crit, your damage is multiplied by the crit multi amount (200% = x2)
I'm ~99% sure that crit & crit multi is included in the tooltip DPS, as if you equip the amulet that gives you 100% crit chance (Gambler's Fallacy) your hit dps will increase significantly (at low levels of crit chance)
Also, mobs have level-based damage reduction (up to ~90% ish at lvl 100) which the tooltip does not take into account so you can't compare the tooltip dps to actual damage on mobs unfortunately.
So I need more damage. This 200-300 damage to mobs isn't cutting it.
What's the best source of idols? Echoes don't really cut it since there's no way to really target farm them so i'll need to go for quantity over quality

@outer sage You need to use bone curse to propagate rip blood properly.
It has a node that casts rip blood when it expires, and one that makes it expire after 1 hit.
That requires minions to do the hitting though.
I checked them and it doesn't look like either of them does. Which one did you mean?
When I last played it did work without any minions.
If you have this set up below for Bone Curse (all Rip Blood needs is the one of the Blood Splatter nodes at a minimum, having both of them just makes it double as awesome), with Cursed Limbs active (ie, after having cast Bone Curse) when you hit the target, Bone Curse is reapplied before it can fall off, so you'd only ever get a Rip Blood when the 5s Cursed Limbs ends.
If, however, you have minions hitting the target, their hit consumes the Bone Curse which proc's Rip Blood & then Rip Blood's hit re-applies Bone Curse. So as long as you have minions hitting the target, you have waves of Rip Blood being proc'd for as long as your Cursed Limbs lasts.
If you have a t7 cooldown affix on your helm, that is enough to get the Bone Curse cooldown down to 5s, matching Cursed Limbs giving you 100% uptime on this abomination.
This was shown on one of the MP teaser gifs on one of the MP threads, with Heavy, Dobster & myself. All of the teal #### exploding was my Rip Blood/Bone Curse stuff being proc'd

Hm. Maybe a snapshotting bug since I'd taken the one single big blade node and unspec'd it. The blades on ground also looked like the bigger ones. I tried logging out and back in to test that and was seeing same behavior. Maybe when I reboot later it'll be back to consistent.

That mode is no different from the normal one, you will only struggle on the first 20 lvls and after that you are basically running monos with 2 additional mods

Are +level of Judgement Relics something that is very rare? I have only found 1 and am level 82.
If they are rare, would it be a somewhat viable strategy to randomly chaos roll prefixes on sentinel relics or is the outcome of that similarly weighted as the natural spawn rate?

The end game currently consists of Monoliths (what you're doing now) and dungeons. You can look on the forums for a better answer (I'm sure there are a few guides/discussions), but from what I know, people typically choose the far right side of monoliths "The Black Sun" etc to progress quickly through the standard Monoliths to get to Empowered Monoliths ASAP.

The normal ones, yes, generally -- though I wouldn't concern myself with that as a new player honestly.
That's not necessarily optimal either (rushing through) as you get bonus stability the more enemies you kill.

The normal gambler is capped at lv40 - only the Soul Gambler in Soulfire Bastion can go higher.

It's been since they added Soulfire - they also removed the ability to get Set/Unique items from the gambler at the same time.

No tips... its just a RNG drop... you could try ascension runes on amulets or just farm higher corruption to improve overall loot quantities.. maybe do the Age of Winter timeline for ring/amulet echo reward nodes

between acolyte and primalist, which is better for playing a summoner? I'm currently playing both and it seems like companions don't die but have less dps than full melee skeletons/deathknights/wraiths.

can you reset quest echos? im trying to get to fall of the empire from blood frost and death and I chose the level 80 timeline but nothing unlocked

hhmm? to finish the monolith timeline you have to do the three quests (top left) in normal monos.. once you kill the boss, the timeline is complete and you follow the now activated path to the next timeline starting point.. Which path depends on which option you chose in the previous timeline quest (usually the second quest iirc)... you can see which route you opened by viewing the map and looking at the paths between the monolith islands...
all roads lead to rome so to speak, but the path taken depends on the choice in the quest...
I'm of the opinion that Primalist is more active in your playstyle - Acolyte is more "wait for things to die" though there are a couple fun interactions you can pump out to make it much faster.

new player here feeling stuck, im currently lvl79 in lvl85 echo, the boss here all one shot me with their huge aoe attacks, I just feel like the process of becoming stronger is so slow now, takes forever to level and all my needed gear are uniques locked in empowered echos.

Yip... its just stability... I personally like to run through echos and stock up enough stability to run a boss two or more times (if possible) in a row... but there isnt anything beyond preference.. Obviously if you are farming stability its best to go out far for the higher stability in each echo

I have a question about the cinder strike burning dagger. I read an article online, a wiki for the burning dagger skill and it said that it scales with attack speed. I read the burning dagger node and it says that it has a 1 second delay before attacking. If I were to get some throwing attacking speed, could that theoretically make Burning dagger instantly attack?
Even if it does work, it will never be instant
I wouldn't expect attack speed to interact with the delay though

well the actual thing is that it circles 1s no matter what, this duration isn't scaling with anything
attack speed is when your character performs a melee/ranged (physical) attack (that skill). the cast rate / trigger rate of the item Cinderw/e is what determines the frequency of the Burning dagger
IF burning daggers were a skill you could manually perform, then attack speed would be how quickly you perform it. it has no bearing on the item that procs it
that would be an ICR (internal cooldown rate), which for the item in question, is 1sec.
not sure if all the terminology is correct for LE, but the concept remains the same.
It is & that's what the gear from the chest at the end is based off, not the lvl of the zone you just cleared. You can get t7 exalts from the reward chest of a lvl 58 mono with a lvl 100 character.
Nobody called you a liar, that's just not how the game works. If you can't directly use a thing (such as Burning Daggers), but that thing is an attack (therefore it would normally scale with attack speed), the game data will say it scales with attack speed even though it doesn't 'cause you can't directly use it.
@balmy currentmy question was about unique rewards and what uniques they can drop. if for instance the broken lance timeline lv62 can drop omnividence which has lv70 requirement
any of the unique nodes can drop ANY unique (of that ytpe), that aren't gated

Ok. If you were lvl 70+ the chest at the end would be able to drop it, yes, but not the mobs during the mono
that's always been the case

unique nodes can drop any wrold-drop unique of that type
