I need some help 😦 I respeccing into the Umbral Blades build after getting Talons of Valor and Razorfall, but I'm really struggling to play since it seems like Ariel Assualt is constantly snapping to mouse when I try to cast it and move, since smoke bomb is now my traversal skill. Any advice?

Damage is not the issue, but avoiding taking damage when I'm trying to move and cast ariel assault is the problem. I either have to stand still until the skill starts, or the skill entirely misses where I aimed it if I try to move too quickly after casting.

The game plan right now is to mainly burst and stack bleed with shift/synchronised strike/shadow cascade combo on repeat. I was cruising the endgame so far and beat the first harbinger. Having recently asked these same questions on reddit, you need more HP (~2k) make sure you cap all your resistances or at least to 65%, Use your idols for resistance capping - Class Idols are a luxury item, You don't have any real way to mitigate damage - Dodge is too low to be consistent- Endurance is low, armor is low - you have zero crit avoidance and next to no reduced damage from crits so you'll explode randomly

As a rogue, dodge is what is easiest to find and stack, you should go for 100% crit avoid if you can find it in your passive trees or items. Endurance is nice for raising effective HP.

• get Shurikens on Shift
• swap Umbrals for Shurikens and either get shuriken durations or bleed chance, but probably rather duration
• get Shadow Eater in LM so you get more mirage hits = more bleed stacks
• swap around points in Shadow Cascade, you want bleed and increased phys damage
• get more life from shadow creations in Sync Strike, armor shred does nothing for bleed damage
• for idols: try to get for 2x2 idols with bleed chance per equipped sword, and for 1x1 you get get something with life+mana/armor; can enchant the 2x2 class idols with glancing blow chance / dodge / crit avoidence
• on gear just get more life, you really want at least 2k, cap physical and elemental resists and the rest if you can
• for uniques: try to get Bleeding Heart amulet or Valdyr's Chalice... bleed chance and mainly you get healing from your DoT
• on body armor you can get bleed chance per equipped sword, chance to gain dusk shroud when you use melee attack and double life suffixes
• from Age of Dragons timeline get the one with all resistances
• from Spirits of Fire and Age of Winter you can get armor and %increased armor, which goes really nicely with Shift+Shuriken combo

BD hasn't changed that much besides the shadow dagger node

but past 1.0 because falconer tree exists and they do give us more endurance

• Later on, you can also try getting this helmet with a set affix (kinda later crafting tbh)... double life and maybe sync strike mana efficiency; otherwise for bleed build you can just use the regular green set Corsair helmet
• If you get lucky and get crit multiplier on your Weaver swords, you could throw away the weaver gloves and try getting Salt the Wounds gloves (it converts 40-50% of your crit multi into bleed/poison penetration (shredding physical penetration applied from Shurikens will increase bleed damage; for more crit multi you can also take 1 point in Critical Eye=>5 points in All In in rogue passives)

Also going for both Sync strike and LM is like suuuper heavy on mana... you could swap one of them for Flurry/Puncture (both can be nice for bleed and both can give you some nice mana gain on hit)

Just remember you build your defense before your offense but at 500c + is the moment when you just can't build more defense so just play more safe or clear faster 🤓 ☝️

• in base Rogue you cna get Sapping Strikes so you get even more mana on hit (with skills that cost 0mana, which Puncture is)
