@astral grove puncture pen can focus primarily on one
and with the quiver you can focus both on one
which is the main appeal here
feels like there are just so many hoops to jump through tyring to scale frostbite here
Whats the hoops
i dont see any
Different build but valid
i guess less so hoops but more so survivability sacrifice
well, if we are already talking about meme i thought why not
Well yeah, offensively its just interesting to scale damage through mana on rogue :p, via both bleed and poison chance together, no less
Defensively, I am unsure how you could make a mana rogue stacker work
Could be a ward angle
seeing as we already running frostbite shackles
and HS gets pen from cold res
just no ward scaling in passive tree really
having to scale with mana feels pretty limiting
there are plenty of ward scaling affixes on new idols
i actually think rogue ward gets buffed in 1.2 overall
dodge/ward is probably going to feel pretty good
are there mana cost to ward idols?
as marksman
yeah i made a planner while experimenting with ward yesterday and it has 5.4k stable ward while having red rings and mourningfrost
cant reccomend it because of issue with getting idols tho
lots of the same ones
since when shurikens are used by all existing shadows? and even additional chakrams are thrown?
since forever?
additional = each thrown by a shadow i guess
There's ward retention and ward per second on 1x1, ward on freeze and freeze rate multiplier on 1x2, ward on bomb/shift on 1x3, ward when you shift/create a shadow on 1x4, silver shroud duration and ward granted per silver shroud/ward decay threshold and ward per second on 2x2.. there's options
definitely not a starter build
i went with lots of theese and shackles, it doubles as cold pen with HS
Oh good call
it doesnt say anything about it in shuriken description lol
it doesnt mention net and explosive traps tho, those are used too
i'd assume if explosive trap is turned into a bow attack it wouldnt be used by shadow?
in case yo uare inetersted, 5470 stable ward with average stats and 50% extra cold pen with hs https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/oPp2nJJo

No but ill be yoinking that idol setup most likely
save for the 1x3
Oh, found belt for the build too
With the new cinderstrike, does +physical damage no longer have any effect on the damage? I see the physical tag was removed.
around 400 ward on potion use
it has, its base was just physical for no reason
since its 25% of your crit multi so you'd have like 83% multi for your potions when you crit on potion use
why? how? potions were buffed+ extra ward from idols+crit+ward from belt itself
@flint turret added belt, yoinked idol setup https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/oy8LlvnB

guess i need to move some points around to adapt for this being a ward build
potions dont innately give you ward, the belt enables that with a flat amount which is multiplied by 25% of your multi, it says it all on the belt
its not multiplied by 25% of my crit, its a bonus, and i have 100% health to ward on idols
uhhh yeah it'
with idols itd be a lot lmao
potion 50+10 per lvl tahts already 1050, +200 on belt, thats 1250+crit
+200 ward from potion
it'd be like 3k or something
i dont think that'd be converted because it specifically says potion health converted
so we'll assume thats not added
hmmm yeah might be true
so yeah its probably 1426 * 1.83
still around 2k prob
pretty big, will take a while to decay it with high retention
it'd feel like pre-nerf ward
lmfao
pre-nerf LL rogue ward***
ik ward is hella nerfed on other classes
on rogue its buffed
well also depends on how accesible will those idols be
prices might skyrocket and cof farming small idols?
lets just say you'll be in the cemetery for a while
I wonder If I can get Umbral resolution and Gloom Needle to work
will Dancing Strikes tree affect the attack that shadows use after Synchronized strike? If so - whats the number (1st, 2nd or 3rd) of the dancing stikes attack the shadows use after synchronized?
in bd without mourningfrost those items will be much higher, and death door 24% reduction. BD is a huge winner in the ward department
imagine adding reforged corsair on top of this
its a facetank for everythig
btw you built your heartseeker exactly how I was going to. 50% black arrow, 40% from tree, then 47.5%, from dex stacking. Your total is like 277% recurve which is pretty much the hardcap for investment to damage ratio. also I noticed you probably researched the exalted mods and found out that they aren't worth taking (recurve chance)
@flint turret https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/A1Vz0X8Q I guess now all I need is more dodge or armour

277% recurve is roughly 1000% effectiveness per cast which is pretty bonkers. i dont think people realize how good HS is
a new rogue skill that's absolutely bonkers? Say it ain't so
in which one? that ward one is just a throwaway, i wont be building it
you'd be surprised how many doubters there are
@topaz schooner Humanity does not surprise me nowadays 😄
and you forgot passive im MM for extra 40
thats what I meant when I said tree, passive tree
ah
the 50% from black arrow is kinda non-negotiable and I think people dont realize how good black arrow is going to feel now
yep
with dusk shrouds and shadow gen
i included the 140% from base HS in your tree
Does Gloom Needle ignore CD?
ah okay i dodnt calculate it. letool needs a recurve chance calculator in offence tab lol
letool needs more basic functionalities way before that lol
thats a lot of small idols kekw
50% black arrow 40% passive tree 47.5% dex stack, 30% Arrow Mastery 10% blood seeker 100% base
unless I missed a source, I dont think i did
i mean whatever works lmao
@flint turret but all I need is to add dodge or armour to this
Im open to suggestions
why do you have so much mana?
but if you added the t5 recurve chance you'd only gain like... basically nothing, its a big noob trap to take those recurve chance nodes on body/helmet
Puncture Mind Piercer
only black arrows come to mind with shrouds
3.7% more damage grabbing the t5 recurve chance on body + helmet
so yeah it caps out pretty hard after 200%
ah, though it was an hs build
it is both
HS for black arrow, shroud, more frostbites
unload with puncture in between
feels kinda weird to have cd-hs for clear and puncture for single target
HS clear is going to be nuts
no room for them really, dex+health+hs levels are more prio imo
kinda why i find it appealing tbh lol
yeah I agree. which just goes to show how broken its going to be. no gear needed and you're pretty much hardcapped on damage per cast if you use black arrow
but big idol seems nice
2 of this big boys can be nice
how would i know
i dont know if we have repeat mechanic already in the game
not like 8.16% vs 8% would chance anything at all
can also be damage while weilding a bow up to 45% as suffix instead of eleres
i dont think repeat is that good on HS tbf, HS is already extremely short cast time
holy lol
95% bow damage on a single idol
nonono not bow damage, damage while weilding a bow, it affects everything including burning daggers and umbrals and dot
idk, math will tell
but it's a more multiplier, and not an increase one
so it could be really good
if its repeat on hit that'd be busted but repeat on cast is w/e
oh yeah its generic increased damage
thats a lot of dot scaling
Does anyone here know if consuming extra arrows with elemental barrage stacks the damage? e.g 3 arrows consumed = 24*3 added damage?
there are better alternatives for dot. this idols rolls up to 90% inc damage for phys dot for example as s suff
makes sense. i've never done a dot bow build before
wanted to do olio's bleed falconer but never got around to it
same, i never really played dot
i heard ROA bleed is really good
hoa gets a huge buff because of a new quiver
gonna be huge, but im not a fan of dot still
i also prefer hit based builds
@flint turret what do you think is a meaningful point to swap from what is essentially an SD falconer to UB AA? so from phys to cold + crit chance
like talon with t7 hybrid?
maybe boots
Who has the counter ready for Ragu @'s this cycle start?
talon\tongue t7, ucenui, around 60 dex, razorfall maybe?
im not answering falconer questions after 1,2 starts btw
i made a bet lol
I'll believe it when I see it
Oh shit
well, at least ill try to, unless i forget or do it by accident
I enjoyed the flood of "can you fix my build" in 1.0
and SD BD before that in 0.9
altho I did my fair share of pinging back then so i cant judge
just gonna send ragu a 36 page word document with falconer questions so i can have answers before 1.2
i dont mind, i like tinkering with builds more than play after 2-4 weeks into a cycle
im usually the same
first giga farm then look at cool shit i could try but too lazy to test them all
i havent really climbed more than 1200 or smth like that ever
and i can clear that in a 0lp\rares tier gear falconer anyway
granted im also tempted to play VK for bonk fun and a lot of innate defence, including against oneshots
Can Ravager's dart be used by Marksmen? The passive tree almost only have buffs to bow dmg. Is the helmet designed for other classes or how is it intended to be used?
prob for non-marksman builds mainly
I'
MM tree is bit scuffed if you wanna be non-bow
i'm definitely starting sentinel then i'll save rogue for later
because I know i'll be forever stuck rogue if I start rogue lolol
sadly hs is a mm only skill
haha
throw based HS is a giant meme
ye so cant spec, but you can get some uses out of it
for some sentinel builds it counts as throw hit, for some triggers
i think its gonna be okay in a throwing cascade build, thats pretty much it, but overall i agree, its a meme
I think we'll definitely see some crazy burst happen, someone is gonna break it
but the clear is just going to suck
and it'll feel bad to play
then you'll just be back to use SD to clear...
then at that point SD will probably out DPS the single HS anyways...
too bad throwing damage is limited to hs on it, if it was generic this helm would be okay
thats why i said in a throwing cascade build, it already has a great clear, and a free skill slot. hs can fill it with utility\buff\extra single target damage
instead of umbrals or shurikens
Aight, done cooking this
that is true
ill do mana guide sorc next i think
yes make me a build so I can copy and paste
lol I think im at like
10 builds
so far
Mana guide should be fairly straightforward
off I go to #🧙┃mage
so far this is my best planner for non-crazy rare geared hs with a good progression from 1 to 2lp gear, dunno what to optimize except passives \ trees https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/A8dlnwMA

My best planner so far seems to be Void Smite Multistrike VK
I honestly 4 LP all items and justt assume those are best Uniques but if I dont have them then those are ideal stats
Best stat on Unique tier 7-tier 4 the worst stat
makes making a loot filter easier
im kinda curious about the crit belt like is based on our highest attack/spell crit
If you see a guide with all 4LP items, idk, just close that 😄
no one expects a 4 lp but like I said its more like I do it just to have a placehorder if there's a unique I want, build sites dont have a good way to indiciate whats the ideal exalted bases till a decent lp unique .
Every next patch 4lp becomes more and more real for fulltime mg players tho
CoF seems juicy too on its own way
I mean, just drop one, its literally that easy, 50:50 chance
Usually I would agree but devs fkdup us in 1.2 with no prophecies for new runes
oof
didn't they rebalance some?
Dunno, only addition in patch notes was for a weaver rune, but no one cares about that
Havoc is the goat
does this node work on triggered skills?
Not even any prophecies for harbringers, nemsis or Aberroth... idk, I see that like a lot of wasted potential, so I hope it'll get added later
"When you use a skill", so I'd expect it not working
Yeah, no new prophecies for rares too. Only the old weird selection for shitty bases except bone amulet
At least let us select a base for rares bruh
at least some QoL like making a new icons for generic armor and accessories... like when Im looking for body armors, it has the same icon as "armor"... same with rings that has same icon as, eh, whatever its called in game 😄 jewellery? ...tldr a lot of icons missing there
True
Runes and relic one looks pretty much all the same I think
I guess thats where the ability to read comes in quite handy
Probably the worst thing about 1.2 for me is the absence of havoc/redemption rune blessings, unless they forgot to mention them
It affects all of cof players and legacy
yeah, if i have the same chances as an MG player, the MG player can gamble the havoc on an item with 4 good affixes by buying it
a successful gamble on his part would leave a CoF one in the dust
the CoF has to get loot explosion after loot explosion before finding something worth using that very rare rune
and even then, no guarantee
Not really, you will be forced to use it all the time to get your t7 hybrid and +skills slams even on 1lp items, because dropping them naturally is really hard
wow this is strong
thats what im building with for my HS
i'm going through the post-patch notes interview now
understandably so. a free 60% more damage every second
petrify.. i havent heard them talk about that yet
brb
Oh its a free hard CC for mobs
evade gets you 4 so evade into black arrow seems insanly strong
yep
But phase point for hs....
phase point also insane...
if this didn't come out I would go phase point
decisions x.x
yeah, i got pleeenty of experience with that
both are so good man
i always drop them on skills i don't need, every damn time
I bet the 3d model will be sick
At least we will have access to lots of runes of creation, so any successful havoc should result in 2 bases for slamming
holy that thing is crazy
It is indeed
wow wow wow
true, CoF can enjoy that benefit
But God dam tongue doesn't let us to use a shield
i'm so glad they didnt remove that prophecy from level 9
remind me of which tongue you talking about
yep tongue is too good for rogues but damn i'm using that shield on my sentinel
Wasn't it 10?
actually yeah it was 10
9 was the other one
experimental one w/e it was called i think
I want to consult , I'm torn between two builds
- Blade Dancer Lethal mirage
- Falconer Ballista
I care a lot about farming monolith and trading faction guild merchant in the game.
lol in the interview Karv said Countenance of Majasa is probably going to be nerfed because the LP ilvl is way too low so its too easy to get lp
thats so funny to say while showing an item for the first time "oh btw this is so strong its getting nerfed in season 3"
Well they had tundra helm at lvl 10 req but they changed it before it released even
oh wow
Shadow Daggers ?
Doesn't matter, both sd and combo lm are for enjoyers
why is this crazy? dot blocking?
dot mitigation is nearly impossible to come by and at the high level of corruption thats the main thing that kills you
but everything else is good too
Crazy high block chance, dot block, 1200 block without a slam
tons of BE
cool, thanks for the explanation
makes sense why so many people have it in their planners
i will say tho, the petrify might be ultra annoying in arena
yeah I hadnt even heard of it until today since this is the first time i've watched the interview, it is pretty insane
Did you get to the part where they discuss dot nerfs in monos?
not yet, and thank god
Nerfed more than twice
Oh actually they did mention that the dots aren't instantly doing their full expected ramp damage anymore
that alone is so huge
you're not instantly getting hit with 100 poisons worth of damage
that alone is probably going to be impactful for me not to rage at dots anymore
Yeah dots were pure pain to deal with
we'll still need a cleanse but still good
I never farmed red rings, how hard is it to get one in CoF? "Just" 0 lp one
also that witchfire item... 66% of your increased curse damage as more damage is pretty fkn insane lol
extremely rare
Depending on your luck entirely it can range from couple of hundreds thousands favor to few mil
or it was for me. i spent like 10m favor on rings and didnt find a single lp1 red ring
but that was in season 0
didnt play s1
I did find 3 red rings from that 10m but yeah, zero lp1
Imprinting, nemesis will help a bit
Dunno the chances for lp, but you will get random t4-6 on it pretty easily, which is anyway better than 0lp
I wonder how much increased % curse damage you can get
for downfall of the righteous
Ascendance is not worth it, it has lower lp chances, better to run rings blessing instead
Nomads/crabs along the way help too
5 to 60 healing effectiveness
Abby relic rolls crazy values too. 1-10 all stat and 1-5 flat crit and 10%-100% frenzy effect
LOL yeah 1-5 flat crit and 10-100 frenzy effect is brutal
and you really want both of those max
lets just say we will definitely see some gold cap abby relics
why fire HS nodes are better than cold ones 😿
Well frenzy effect is not that big, it's like 18% more attack speed. Compared to 1-5 crit and 1-10 stat
That's almost 50 stat difference
45*
Pene via cold res is okay with ward stacking, and overall cold is much better because of mourningfrost. Fire will use mourningfrost too, but they won't be able to get penetration/shred for both at the same time, but yeah burning daggers are pretty pog
Aight got done with what'll most likely be my final planner for bleed falcon. It's finally worth it to use 2 of 2x2 bleed conversion idols compared to last time, where bleed chance per sword was always better. Also added personal plan for the weaver routing https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/AKlv75nQ

Mg? Cof? Why so low on uniques? With the change to a guarantee slam, getting big 1lp items should be easier than good exalt tbh
MG, there's no uniques that'd help more on the slots with exalteds
weaver and set stuff give no help to minion bleed either, so not many new options coming from there either
What about chalice?
it'd give 14% more bleed crance compared to ruby dice, while the other rolls don't matter since they won't affect the bird
What about new amulet for falcon
Pene is hard to use since you get lower cold res via Mourningfrost tho
With ward setup it's fine. I have a few planners ranged from 50 to 80% pene from it
That I'm really not certain with tbf, if Inheritance of the Erased is what you're referring to
Yep
280% phys damage looks pretty big. Or 30% phys penetration
the amulet is a weaver item so getting wanted affixes will be difficult
Pretty sure Xithara's is just better
Phys damage, minion damage, dot damage
and easy to get 3 lp
Like how? It doesn't work on falcon, no?
30% More phys
Yeah but for who

doesn't add to bleed damage done by a minion
nvm I didnt realize you were talking about minion ammy
but yeah, T7 phys or dot roll on the amulet would be around 30% more dps
will be a lot difficult to get compared to a 1lp omnis at the beginning, but it'll be a probable upgrade after that
Most will look for crit multi on it I guess, or phys damage or crit chance. So you will have good chance to yoink some dot one in mg I think
just gotta get to rank 12 for that lol
Well, eventually...
Have you thought about going fthat falcon bleed into aa umbral bleed with dusk shrouds stacking?
Because falcon bleed was nerfed while umbrals almost not
I haven't thought about anything else than ailments since 1.0 :'D
hmm, umbrals would have you stack damage done by you instead of falcon it looks like
falcon gives an easy route to more multipliers, which go to like 8x with the setup
250% more from sword thrower, and 500% more from 30 dusk
And you can't even compare the amount of hits umbrals will deal
And you will be able to use generic increase bleed duration
Nwm you will lose duration from the body tho
numbers seem to be there for sure, but I'll wait until after uber aberroth to do more build planning
Makes sense. I haven't seen anyone working on dot aa umbrals so I'm a bit interested
Maybe ignite even with mahelin
with the new cinder strike, will +base physical damage only have an effect on the 2nd and 3rd hit? or was it always like that? or does the physical damage get converted to fire damage?
And reen? And trigger reen by sd on umbral? 30 stacks of reen 300 inc fire damage over time
Does anyone know if filters made in 1.1 transfer over to 1.2 without issue?
Pretty sure they do, they just won't have new affixes check-marked
Alright cool cool
If it's + X physical melee damage, it's added to all. Flats are always added to the relevant skill type. If you get + X flat cold melee damage that's applied to all as well.
in 1.2, how do you you properly specialize in melee cinder strike? Seems like most implicit for weapons give +melee damage which increases fire damage as the base but then the rogue passives give +physical damage. are you supposed to get mods with increased fire damage or increased physical damage? if you get increased fire damage, it increases the base but it seems like it wastes the +physical damage that you get from passives
Which flat will you have the most? Focus on that (Most likely fire since weapon's adaptive flat is now all fire).
It also depends on what else you would want to do (As in what other skills you will spec).
just overall what is the best class for a melee build havent played in like a year so id need some advice?
What's best is kinda subjective in LE, all of them have strenghts and weaknesses
All classes have very strong melee potential from what i've experienced and done, it's more what you are looking from from melee gameplay
Rogue is more towards fast paced and mobility, primalist melee is more heavy hits and setting up for big strikes by buffing, sentinel you either go defensive and rely on smite or spin-2-win from my experience.
Even mage has a very strong melee potential, but i've yet to try that one, probably the strongest with how ward was the prime defense. With life being more viable in the coming patch things are likely to even out however
So to keep it short, it really depends on the melee gameplay you enjoy, as all can melee well, even acolyte
for shadow cacade, if you get porcupine's wrath, do the daggers from dagger dance still scale with melee damage?
Those should be only thrown
The daggers never scaled with melee. It’s only throwing.
Did they fix DA build?
So t1 is enough if you need more shadows, for some reason. (You won’t need it in most use cases)

Or nerf MM/Falconer's Shadow limit to 1, make Shadows a Bd's signature and make t7 of that prefix to +2 shadows, so if anyone would really want to play with shadows, t7 would be the bis 😄
I would like what you’re smoking sir.
Idk If Quicksilver rings would be worth just for the bow attack speed... 🤔
guys how viable is Rogue for HC? I remember playing it in cycle 1 with good success but right I see 90% going paladin which seems really boring
Rogue in HC probably has to rely on capped glancing blow, and can’t rely on dodge so probably just okay?
Falconer doesnt really deserve anything else tbh
and when we're at it, move Sync Strike to like 25 points, Sync Strike being at 10 points is just absolute joke
Most people don’t play HC
And have two class locked skills?
ohh you are right, 3lp siphons would be much better
hows blade dancer?
Not our fault for the lack of BD skills 😄
and for SC, Umbral blades still remains the fastest build available?
Well ye but getting 3PL of those... gonna take some time 😄
2LP crab maybe, should be fairly doable
all that gear is very easy to get in trade, this is more like second char/third char.
blood of exiles were nonexistant above 1lp last time I played mg :( valdyrs are kinda rare too
even then, still easily farmable
One of the faster ones yeah.
It is what it is
0lps of them shouldn’t be too hard
I dont even pick those up from the ground anymore... 😄
Prayge no dupes/exploits in the first week, heed my call china bros dont do it 🙏 let us play a little then go ham
For a bleed multishot/heartseeker build, does flat phys do anything, or is it all %damage bonuses that apply?
ye flat phys does jack for bleeds
So, it's IAS stacking and %phys that i want, and dex for bleed scaling of multishot and heartseeker
you can get like 1200-1600% inc with decent investment
Cheers
You can leave the country out of it, just use the generic term of botters, is suffice enough
Ty!
He has a point, there’s at least two other countries that I can think off that bot a lot
aye gl to us all getting proper idols 💀 amen
The idols are def the most aspirational
Are they improving mg ui in 1.2? Gl searching for idols with the old UI if not
Browsing through 50 pages of stout idols to find some not overpriced ones with 4%/25+ flat sure was fun for me
u can sort idols by affixes since like new years I think
uniques on the other hand...
There was no sorting for affix value ranges in 1.1 or I'm being dumb
it still returns u empty search sometimes when you try to search two affix values above ~75% threshold simultaneously
Those didn’t exist iirc
Looks like I'm being dumb, can you show me the threshold affix searching in UI?
ye lemme login
I don't have mg character anymore
this is for idols; More=>Affixes=>single available tier=>flat health >25
kinda same stuff for exalts
Oh nice, didn't know they added this. Wonder when
And looks like not only me lol
no clue lol but its way nicer than it used to be thats for sure
Cof4life still anyway
My god those 2%/+28 for 1.5m...
👴 back in my day double lifers were 15m bottom line
Can throw those 2% ones to a vendor soon 😄
man thats a bummer they retroactively change items like that
muh life stacking dream
there's a reason it has been there for 47 days u know
If bouncing you meant “find a new target”, it’s a node
So here's my idea i'm tinkering with for 1.2.
Bleed multishot/heartseeker. Offensively stack dex phys % and bleed chance.
Defensively dodge and health.
Main skills being multishot and heartseeker. With the usual standard supports prolly
Will tinker with build more when home
revolutionary
Yeah, what's it called? Because i'm being blind lol
Very! Not really tho, i just enjoy discussing ideas is all
Don't have to engage if you're not interested 🙂
naw just poking a little fun
Ah gotcha
Exposed, big node on left
Is there anything i'm missing offensively there btw in terms of stat priority?
Defences obiously also entail crit reduction and resists, but that's stating the obvious
someone shared a planner earlier with gear that's pretty close to what you'd want
this one

Im glad CoF exists, dealing with pricing in MG wouldnt be for me... being able to buy whatever you need is cool, but when you want to micromanage good prices based on whats currently popular... nah 😄
📈
Common CoF W
I am doing some levelling runs today and yesterday, and yesterday, when I used Bladestorm UB they surely landed where I pointed my mouse. But now it travels max distance and collides at terrain. Whats up with that?
tried to build a planner for ignite aa umbrals it and it rougly looks like this. thoughts on ignite chance\increased damage? i have close to no experience with dot. reen wasnt updated yet so its missing extra 150% inc fire dot damage in the planner(and dont look too much into defences, i havent focused on them yet) https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/oz5LKMaB

should be okay with some cdr on gear. i cant really put valor in here because i have no idea where to get ignite\bleed chance with a bow
maybe puncture for fury? instead of net
doest sound that bad actually, will also help wit his
Loosing double swords hurt a lot still tho
yeah, doubt that going bow would be the right call
Anyone know if Maehlin's hubris converts all bleed chance (including chance to apply bleed on bow hit) or just global bleed chance?
Might be all, since it converts Bleeding Heart's self bleed.
are those leveling guides decent ? i wanna go HS marksman
Do we know if the Puncture Per Recurve After Death node on Heartseekers tree can make all the punctures hit the same enemy? aka is it puncture per recurve or puncture per recurve per nearby enemy?
Also curious on that one
logically should be able to aim at the same enemy(because it doesnt say it cant)
because its what recurve does already
maybe we can summon someone from CBT to answer
Imo there is no sense in leveling guides, take the skill you want to play or level with and go ahead.
Campaign is usually not a struggle for any skill
Is crit vulnerability the same (per stack) as have +2 base crit chance? Or is it part of a different formula for deciding crits?
I did some practice runs. Puncture trash mobs, flurry bosses. Until multishot, then replace puncture. Easy level to 70.
Close. It's "Final Critical Chance". Cannot be modified by anything else but itself.
I dont understand. So. Let's say I have 5 base crit and 10 stacks of vuln on the enemy and 300% crit chance bonuses. Do I crit 100% of time time?
5% base x (400% increased crit chance) + 20% from vuln
Got it. So it is last layer, no multiplicative. Thank you!
does "increased physical damage" affect bleed damage?
There we go, yeah.
Yes.
so that would be 45% crit chance, right?
40%, where did you last 5% come from.
Oh, you assumed the 400% was without the base 100%
the base 5%
This is sorta what i'm thinking. Leaving 5th skill open as i want to try puncture
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/oYM4q62o Bow will be swapped depending on if i'm doing clear or boss prolly

If I calculated correctly it's quite feasible to get 100+ hits per second using heartseeker, which seems bonkers
Can it be nerfed right away or they dont practice such things?
they dont nerf mid season
only fix bugs
Unless it's "Giga super stupid one shot abberoth" broken, no.
P.S.: If it's caused by an ovbious bug, then it will if the bug is fixed.
ty
im kinda torn between CoF and MG
CoF has been good fun and it sounds like its kinda strong in some ways in 1.2 but at the same time i enjoy the rush of trade
go fast so you can sell shit asap etc
My only gripe with CoF is idols. Rest is smooth as heck
Even this kind of build (umbral aa) is almost not nerfed in 1.2
Maybe I should say "One shots uberroth" but yeah, unless it ovbiously caused by a bug.
Umbral AA is at least "within game interaction mechanics"

I doubt it will make any difference between Abby and Uber abby
😏 oneshot both
Well, not really one-shot, because you need couple of dives to stack ds, but after this it's over
i imagine uber one is gonna be phased in some way
that it forces you to succeed mechanics
Maybe, dunno
Is it some sort of tier s build? Could you share planner?
Nah I don't have planner for it. But it's basically almost the same as dive build with valor but stacking throwing damage and cold damage with umbrals instead of traps and dive converted to shadow dive and dusk shrouds on dive. Or the same one as sd AA, but with capped crit and cold damage
its the build that was pushed to 10k corruption last season
but the playstyle at that point is pretty degen
speaking of that, what would proc frenzy on a rogue? what sources i mean?
Experimental mod?
Nihilis
puncture, bunch of uniques, experimental, black quiver tree
there are multiple sources
BD cascade could benefit greatly from frenzy, thinking about how it could work rn
doubling it with a high roll would be ideal
Up to 40% attack speed with new relic is nice for cascade yeah
nihilis gives frenzy on evade
Hi everyone, where would i get a base/flat fire spell damage on a theoretical Dragon Fire rogue build? theoretically
Same as for any other spell on rogue - mourningfrost
yes, its cold, but its what we got
Well hold on, that's not flat fire that's flat cold
But ye
200 flat=200 dex
ez starter viable
We don't really have other sources.
You can also do it with ammy and belt but it's not worth it usually
I almost remmebered a tech, then got reminded that it's spell only.
i generally like the cold version of HS the more i keep hearing about next season
im assuming uniques?
So if i used mourningfrost i'd stack elemental damage increases* instead of fire/cold?
Yeah, pretty much. But you will already have lots of generic increases from dex+passives like sharpshooter anyway
Damage per movement speed too
Damage while welding a bow
Uniques are confluence of fate and immolator belt
does the added flat need to have the same tags (spell/fire/both) to apply at 900% effectiveness or any added works?
Only skill type, so spell/melee/bow/throwing
Oh my god immo doesn't need a spell, just fire/necrotic
My life has been a minor lie
Yep
I was going to mention the stupid "Immo+bleeding heart + Maehlin's" setup but that's spell only since bleeding only pops on spell.
i didnt know flat added gets effected by added effectiveness, thats wild..
It's why added effectiveness even exists in the first place. It ONLY affects flat. But ANY source of flat.
how do i not die from immolator belt :D
You shouldn't. The ignite the belt does is the base ignite, not boosted by anything.
i thought it was referring to %added 😅
You lose the belt's bonus flat if you cleanse it.
yeah, but you prob want to if you stop combat and have many stacks
Fair.
It wouldn't matter actually, because they are both multiples
Yeah it does.
where can i find damage scaling for movement speed

are there any other sources of FRENZY effect aside from boot experimental affix?
so in the current patch the effect of frenzy is pretty much just boots experimental thing
well i hope they really made evade feel better on online then lol, I'd hate to rely on that to proc it

its also part of my CoF is tempting me

5-7 hits per hs with 20% to petrify on each hit for 2 seconds looks super strong vs bosses if it works tho
Just evade into hs into evade and permastun them
If stun duration also applied to this it's crazy
3-4s stun on every hs after evade, will need to try it out
Yeeah, I'll probably start with bleed falcon and later swap out to this setup, this'll have more dps than pre-nerf bleed falcon
You think so? Sounds big if true
did calculations and the numbers go big fast
first SC uber kill olio?
will try to go for it at least

https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/QeN4kepB Any idea if this build can work?
Cinder Strike is here to boost Fire Damage and provide Dusk Shroud, and probably have good ignite dmg thank to dex "stacking"
Umbral Blades and Explosive Trap to burst bosses with huge amount of Dusk Shroud and high cooldown Trap that is suppose to release lots of ignite
It's totally experimental

Wait, a rogue ignite and you didn’t use their best unique relic?
Usually it's not a good idea to mix scaling both hit damage and dot, because for hit you need flat and crit, while dot is the opposite
Ah I probably misread it then
Is there a good just straight up explosive trap build? In PoE I loved trap builds so just looking for something like that
My bad
@scenic otter was a "non unique" build for starter
but ofc I will make a second planner with unique
Fair. The unique is common though-
It can work as a concept probably, if we ignore the item choises. That's what I thought about earlier today almost. But I'm pretty sure it's much better on a falconer aa
take a look maybe for some ideas #🔪┃rogue message
getting 12-20 ds per dive on a falconer is a whole another level of ds stacking
Don't know falconer pretty well tbh, what dive bomb aa offer compared to bd?
aight did the calcs and bleed HS goes to over 21m dps with at max 150m+ bleed pops. these numbers can go even higher depending on how well mana can be kept up
damn
4 dives with 3 shadows, and they repeat inside a smoke
up to 24 dusk per dive on a boss
do you have any extra fire damage boost from your skills?
which cinder strike give
i dont think that really matters considering the difference in MORE multipliers magnitude
30 dusk shrouds is almost 500% more damage for umbrals
at that point you just want incr and flat
its about dot build
with this I can sustain 500% fire damage so idk
its increased, not "more"
the are multiplicative with each other
but cinder strike hits like 2 times compared to aa umbrals which hits like 50 times
ye cinder is a part of my dmg, ub and explosive trap are suppose to help
i still fail to see the purpose of using cinder tbh
500% fire damage applied to trap and umbral blade and dusk shroud generator
30 fire pen+ maybe like 150 to 300 inc damage while spamming cinder that deals almost no hits
how do you all 3 at the same time?
?
cinder, trap and umbral
Scale loads of % increased fire damage and flat throwing and buff burning daggers to high heaven (spoiler: it still sucks)
and what dusk shoud generatin are we talking about? DS on hit and thats it?
you spam cinder until you get max oil coating stacks, then you use smoke to generate shadows to use umbral boost with all your dusk shroud + oil coating stack and then release your trap 12s
ds onhit ye
probably 3 per s with this gear
My current cinder build has 1.4k increased fire, 500% crit multi, and a bunch of other stuff like throne of ambition, and it barely hits for 100k on the test dummy. It's damage could be doubled and it'd still suck
dunno, i dont like how that sounds. cinder is literally the worst rogue ability to spam
using umbrals for ignite with dusk i like that part
I know but +500% fire damage when you can generate dusk shroud at the same time, I just saw a good way to probably use ignite umbral blade
500% fire damage doesnt justify dealing no damage while building it
If you take a conversion for net and also caltrops, does caltrops get converted
that's why I also spec this to "deal damage" when I build my oil coating buff 😄
just don't know how this will work
i mean... i just dont see the flow of what are you suggesting tbh, maybe you can explain to me? you go into a mono, meet a pack, start building up your stacks with cinder, smoke every pack? wait 3s for shadow generation for every pack? lose all stacks before you get to next pack? how does it play
packs probably need less time to build like I only need 5 stack of oil then I use trap and umbral blade
building full stack of oil is just for bossing
ik, but I think that we don't even need shadows for packs
What I said is "optimal" dps for bossing
so you bacically wanto to blow packs with cinder which is arguably the worst skill?
and what does umbrals do then
only for bossing
i see
so cinder into traps for clear and cinder+smoke into umbrals for bossing?
yes
i have no memory of what amount of passives we are expected to have at each level. like when roughly do you got 15 points into first spec tree? and 30 points?
main problem is the 12s cd on trap if I use the cooldown trap node
well, it should work, at least for a low corr, othervise sounds pretty bad to me from the gameplay point of view
especially with 12s cd on main clearing skill
maybe spec traps into melee attach, add cold and light trap to it, add dusk shroud gen to trap, never use it directly, add sync instead of flask, and generally spam cinder into sync into umbral throw?
still sounds pretty bad but a bit better
Heartseaker will auto aim right? Got some RSI when I push to hard so auto aim/totems is very nice
yeah I'm going to be doing a crit/black quiver build
Yes it's effectively auto aim, but it helps to aim towards the enemy you want to hit.
guys I need the fastest/strongest Rogue build, I wanna blast all of the content first week, what would you recommend?
(So Fire dart helm for throw, cinder strike for attack, and fire bow for spell)
we don't know
the best build will probably take a minute to figure out
especially since you can respec entirely now
so it might require changing midrun
Shadow daggers last season was really strong
and good chance it'll still be
The super busted falcon build did get nerfed tho I think?
are they makin a lot of balance changes this season? and how reliable are those maxroll tier lists?
The full patchnotes are out https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/last-epoch-tombs-of-the-erased-patch-notes/75247
And there is some shakeup, but not a lot. More enabling of new stuff than shutting down alot of other things. A lot of bugfixes so builds that used bugs or unintended interactions are dead/in line where they should be.
maxroll is iffy at the best of times I feel
lots of "This is definitnely the best" and then I look at the tree and go "so I can already see if nothing else leveling improvements"
Have they mentioned any limitations on interactions between heartseekers min recurve node and the puncture shooting node
Nope

unless you want to risk exploding your pc
"and I rolled 1 million, welp"
you wouldn't say this
because you'd be on fire and screaming
I like to live dangerously
Have you tried russian roullete, it'd be cheaper?
(realistically there is probably a cap, at least 20 because of node behind fire conversion but yeah)
0/10 can recommend, but its playable on a single bullet with low minimal budget, however, If you want to really risk and flex, can go wild with 6 bullets
you have to kill the target to get a puncture trigger, so the limitation is through monster count
which isn't too high

They were made for season 1, so they will be out of date. Their updated leveling guide for rogue is here https://maxroll.gg/last-epoch/build-guides/falconer-leveling-guide . It starts as falconer, and expects you to respec mastery after leveling to whatever you want.
If you wanted to play marksman the whole time im sure the old one could still be used to some extent, or you could find a different one like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkV2P7pyr5s
Getting all resists to 115% so you get full DR from Null Portent might be pretty cool, but would probably need to get a lot of resist idols

Getting all of them that high seems like a waste, but getting phys to 115 seems pretty good
Elemental is also okay with some eleres, but those poison -necro-void are a bother to stack
Ele resists should be super ez to get with the new idols 🤔
Kinda true, but at a big opportunity cost
But having two red rings active, Null active, death door active, concentration... idk what else
uberroth relic too
20 hp or 25 endu thresh or 6 eleres
the itch to play HoA is getting stronger as the patch approaches
or big bow dmg suffix, or some otehr awesome ones
ffs i had so much issues with survivability last time i tried
how do rogue survive post 500 corrupt anyways
and when i say rogue i mean BD or marksman, cause falconer doesnt count
Well, depends... 😄
Cant have block because bow
Well.... if you try hard enough...
Will have low ward if going curr life / ward / sec because low intelligence
I guess just stack life and leech and hope for the best with 100% glancing?
hope that moving + glancing + endurance + leech is enough
+either armor or dodge or mix of both
800corr and somehow I can run through Gaspar Harbringer's elemental beams without even getting below 50%... and not having capped ele resists 😄
how do rogue scale armor?
you kinda have to decide between armor or dodge** no?
not really
Armor on gear, two blessings, 500 flat armor from Perfection stacks, Shurikens
you can get both but usuall yyeah one is the main focus
Anyone cooking heartseeker? Thinking bleed or cold myself
i wonder
if going low life
and trying to reach 85% dodge
is better than life + 100% glancing
nah perfection sucks without dodge i wont count it in
Yeee but should be able to get pretty high dodge anyway
thats not really doable on bd, too low affix bufget for that. only if you manage to stack massive amount of dusk, and as bd you cant
going ward you drop mostly all dodge and armor
afaik getting to 85% dodge is easier on druid than on rogue? 😄
I get to like, idk, 70-80% with Concentration on, Perfection on and 400 flat dodge from LM...
well, you can still maintain decent amount of armor with LL if you went cleaver, but its gonna get nerfed by 50% in 1.2
pretty good
I could swap Pillager relic to Erased with +5 total to LM, it has a bit of flat dodge, so another 200 flat from LM and idk how much I would get from Shift
i remembered i asked if you have a good showcase of your build video, do you? did i miss your answer?
There any good theorycrafted builds for Heartseeker yet? I'm considering hopping onboard the hype train for that.
eh Ive only posted the one with bosses, no mapping
could probably do some I guess 😄
ye go do some, lots of people asking about lm lately
have you tried lookin in #🎥┃video-shoutout ?
btw where are you seeing these affixes?
trying to find them in the rogue idols lol
make sure you are looking in 1.2 version on letools
if not, migrate first
you will see them there
yea i can see the enchanted affixes
i just dont see the bow one
is that for the large idol or something specific?
oh
gonna be big rng to get good ones
if i remember right, you cant reroll these?
unlike the enchants

whats your ehp
so i can compare
the best i could do while being generous with MM
missing 150% increased armor from shuriken ring but it wont change much
you are literally getting armor x2,5, of course it matters lol
and youre taking 800 corruption?
wtf did something change while i was gone XDDDDD
or is that with high dodge or something and thats why youre fine there?
no Perfection/LM dodge buffs 😄
high dodge would have been spotted in his ehp vs hit column
maybe im underestimating the ehp im theoretically getting then and its going to be fine
spoiler: he does not, in fact, have high dodge
with this on... idk If I can turn on LM+Shift Dodge
eh I even swapped relic for +4 to LM instead of +3, now I dont have Frailty on anything 💀
yikes
take it in the bd passives
i like how when you look at VK EHP calcs and the EHP and EHP vs max hits is just the same
less rng
Ye I probably very much could 😄
But the enemy's hit isnt real If you dont believe in the enemy's hit points 🤓
Ive tried one echo to run with open character pannel... and the echo was to the left side... what a pain
talking like a falconer btw
ah damn it, the virus is spreading
trikster hs guide was interesting, i was a bit surprised that he unspecced puncture even tho he uses it with hs. But it also kinda makes sense becasue when i was looking into puncture tree, there is not too much things that work well with hs
still, 48% more damage and 40% phys penetration is not that bad
the very sad thing about puncture is the fact you can't really scale it if you are playing HS
hit based is going to have a trash crit chance
why?
poison won't scale on armor shred

Im not using Puncture for HS but will be using it as a mana gen
because you are going to calculate your final crit chance based on the +6% base
do we know if HS snapshots crit?
wdym by snapshots crit
like if the first one crits they all crit or is each individual hit has a chance to crit

ready to be dissapointed yet again by hoa lfg
why do you leave 9 points open in shuriken
you should have the pierce node tho
only thing that matters is the +30% armor per shuriken
makes it not consume the shuriken?
ye
ah good
do you guy sknow
if sleight of hand from shift
can proc the flip a coin node
i dont think so
not direct, but sleight of hand specifically throws 5 shurikens
flip a coin works with dancing strikes node for sure, but im pretty sure it doesnt with shift
yep
you could spend the extra points after the pierce node on getting chance to blind, im not really sure where else would be useful for you
kinda w/e already getting 0% extra damage from crits
damage seems there
lets do some Vision™️ combo gameplay this next season
bweh, 19min long mapping and stuff, maybe I overdid it with garbage 😄 definitely not any good clips, but I guess thats the point 😄
Buuut, I got another 2LP Last Steps from Nemesis and 2LP belt from Shade, so, win for me
Belt 2lp is big
Vid up?
Yo I havent played in a while, is shadow dagger still good or has it been shit on
Last time I played was 1.0 patch
Cant find any SD on tierlists
still uploading, then some processing, but ye 😄 in a bit
https://youtu.be/dQC86-NE0Ko
ANd idk why, but my dumb Shadowplay still keeps picking up my mic even with push to talk...
I made the switch to medal a few weeks ago and its crazy how much better it is
shadowplay cooks my PC but I dont notice medal
Still the same thing.
Ive only tried OBS some time ago but the footage was super laggy and Shadowplay works pretty fine for me, just this mic issue is here since some recent update... its just Nvidia being Nvidia 🥔 I guess 😄 and since I usually mute the clip and put a music over it, its whatever
Is reen shadow cascade bd workable now that shadow daggers can stack reen?
Click click click click
The only thing that will get bullied harder than Aberroth in 1.2 will be my keyboard 😭
Looks great, huge dodge buffs
Perfection close to 100% uptime
Ye the dodge is pretty nice... but since I kinda greed more for damage than defense, it still can die very easily with this 😄 and no crit avo at all, but usually its a boss attack that crits which would oneshot me anyway 😄
Orobyss killed by woof woof
Dat timing bruh
is LP different tiers of gear?
1LP Uberroth relic and I can slam +4 to LM there, which will be nice for the 4/4 800flat dodge LM, I got 3x 2LP Penumbras so ezpz t7 %phys and hopefully life or something, so I could try 2LP Titan with t7 +2mirages and like t5 Sd pen 🤔 also Somnia with some nice vitality implicit, 200 flat life from lv100...
you may as well spoke martian with that sentence lmao
LP is Legendary Potencial, so when you go craft legendary item (in Temporal Sanctum dungeon after the boss, you need orange unique item with 1LP or higher and purple exalted item of the same type with 4 non-sealed affixes)... so basically LP says how many affixes will be "randomly" put onto the unique... in the next patch you can guarantee one affix to put onto the unique If you run Temporal Sanctum dungeon on tier2 or higher
oh so endgame game is crafted? cool
Yeee pretty much... some items are easier to find with (high) LP, some are harder... some suuuper hard 😄
so when im looking at these potential builds that have full red gear, its gonna be a grind
Depends on the item 🤔 right now in this patch, its basically a gamble... you can have 3LP unique and that one affix you really want can still miss 😄 in 1.2, you can 100% guarantee to have that one wanted affix to hit
Lastepochtools.com has drop rates to every unique and where they drop
Not really. In upcoming patch they are adding the guarantee affix transfer to a legendary, so wast majority of red items with 1 transferred affix(or even 2) will be really easy, except some super rare items like red rings or aberroth drop
But if you see planners with lots of 2-3-4 lp items, then it's a flag that's it's a super endgame
kk
Is the egg thing staying in to upgrade 0lp items?
ye
Dunno bro, I'd drop somnia whatsoever for the new helmet without any second thought
The very human designed 440armor one?
Yeah
If you somehow manage to slam it with t7 pen and crit reduction, that's insane
This looks sweet! Are you specced into shadow cascade at all/do you have a rough planner?
You should be able to find planner somewhere in this thread for it but fr, add it in the video
Ye Shadow Cascade with the daggers for Sd, should also put one point in Spell Breaker in BD tree, buuut.... Im too lazy to go to the npc

Relic triggers me a bit ngl
ye its crap 😄 but I havent really looked for any better one
I dont think I even want Anchor 🤔 more endurance is pretty much easier to trigger Ravs, no?
But that not necessarily a bad thing either, 6 stacks of ravs
Huge one-shot protection
Or 4LP Grimorie?
60-80health, some flat necro damage to melee
Twisted heart is another option instead of anchor, but since you don't have any endu I'd say anchor is better
Going from 20 endu to 60 endu is huge Dr increase overall
From 5% Dr to 30% dr
You gonna be playing this season?
Ye I got a lot of 1LPs for Anchor and Twisted around... just would need to farm for exalted +4LM relics 💀 but Uberroth would be BiS Id say... like overall 😄 Erased relic is kinda sweet too, buuuut getting that with +4LM and something good on top is just pain... I got only 1 like that 😄
If you don't cap endu with something else, I don't see Abby relic being better
You don't need crit, you don't need attack speed, you don't really need stats
Less damage taken implicit is good but much less then endu, +1 skill is decent
Slamming t7 endu on penumbra actually looks really good
also nihilis is a realistic pick even more casual players now, no? since he's getting nerfed
For sure
+stats for more dex, +1 to skills so Rending Darkness goes to 4/4 for 800 flat dodge... and extra +1 to Shift so 40 dodge per dex.... now I have 37dex and only 1 point there, so 740 dodge? 🤔 that would actually be a looot of dodge
Yeah Abby looks better overall if you slam endurance on ring
This is honestly tilting me a lot... Critical opening being locked behind 6 useless bleed nodes and not rather the branch above for more damage
True
Can definitely try 😄 one 2lp with t7phys and another one, idk, t7 endu? or both with t7 phys and gamble for 1/3chance for endu
would SD BD lose to much damage by not going duel-wielding?
T7 endu +really whatever for t5, and you can get the remaining 5 endu from idols
also 50-80 armor shreds on dummy... kinda alright for only having Hooked Blades... 1/5 in Spell Breaker is probably enough but not really perma 3frailty stacks, buuuut should be fiiiine
I would even go further and say second penumbra is t7 phys res and swap blessing for armor % almong tundra helm
Or actually t5 will be enough
You are overcapped anyway
Huge armor
Yeee could maybe do
And t7 dodge % nihilis up to 100 almost
Stonks
Easy double ehp with couple swaps
the one I have rn is from Nemesis, got quite nice nice rng there
I would guess I'll get quite a lot of Nihilis and Black Blades in 1.2... 204 eyes... well 205 now 😄
Jesus Christ
Idk If its official or not, but someone has said Acolyte might be next, especially reaper? But who knows
Swap to mg and become a crypto bro
