Because it seems like going crit with 800 added spell dmg on smite (assuming around 4k mana), the dmg potential should be good. Spirit xylem is slow, but multistrike still being the best way to proc smite, it should be strong right?

Hi @mellow totem for electrify javelin paladin, I wonder if turani's bident is better than an exalted t8 spear/axe
with turani I can use the Permanence of Primal Knowledge gloves for more skill points (since javelin are very skill point hungry)
with exalted t8 axe I can slam "bleed chance when wielding an axe" affix to get increased electrify chance

multi-smite does I think 4-5 smites per attack (more if you use aurelis) so 8-10 smite hits single target per swing, no proc limits involved.
javelin does up to 5 smites per second via idols plus all the javelin hits which are harder to quantify given the RNG involved with siege barrage and splits
but javelin's dmg multi is way bigger than smite

Javelin gets 100% more DOT, 60% more dmg/-20% hits, 8% more lightning, 5-20% more, up to 6 hits single target (forks can't hit the same target can they?) as well as some pen & chance but no duration.
Duration idols are going to be really good for javelin compared to smite I guess

the projectile travels a long way but it's not that likely to hit is it
how did blue feather band help? Most of the mana problem is from bladestorm and that's a consume not a cost so it doesn't help with that

I mean ladle only reduce SPELL mana cost right
so if ladle has no mana issue then it is due to smite, not bladestorm
bladestorm is 12-15 mana per attack
You still don't cut the cost to 0 with 2 swords so it does help, if even only a little

Yeah blue feather band works really good in this build, since we generate our mana from the sentinel passive and don't bother much with the mana cut.

I never dropped rampancy + brutality amulet, but with void cleave still your main damage will come from Rive and you will lose lots of armour, not sure how doable it is 🤔

For sentinel, judgement and lightning javelin alone gives us two builds each
hammer throw also gives us two builds (but crit hammer is a bit weak so I did not try it)

Void cleave is huge dps increase. Last season i killed ua with rive in 2'30 without vc, to 1'30 with vc. Seed + titan heart can compensate the armor loss

In 1.3 i had 2 sentinel, 1 for mapping and one for bossing. In 1.4 warpath is stronger than ever, i don t even need a bossing build ^^

When you follow builds just look at the base unique name, the "Attuned" and "of the Ox" are the prefix and suffixes added when upgrading from Unique to Legendary. Affixes on legendaries are turned off by default

I've only seen lightning and void for fissure builds. Fire tends to be crit/ignite on throwing and pretty rarely self cast

that 900% lightning DoT is so misleading since it doesn't account for the attunement lol
after 100 arbor i gave up

I had 16 str/att boots
and slam failed on 2 LP then
it has almost 900% before accounting for the lightning multipliers
it's effectively 2,626% inc lightning dot on that planner

for reference to my tolerance level of moving slowly, I played smelter's wrath with Forgemaster's Might and no MS on my boots
it just makes echoes take longer. bosses are tuned so that baseline movement speed and evade is enough to handle mechanics as long as you know they're coming

i can kinda see the rationale behind shockwaves if I squint hard enough. they didn't want the AoE modifier to be a must-take for single target too since it would basically just be a 48% more modifier

smite being a 1.467 skill and needing 3 casts per second you need something like 104% increased cast speed, slightly less is better than slightly more I think because with slightly less you'll never have a cast that happens when you don't have a fissure available and you'll get something like 5.98 fissures/2s but if you have slightly more and a cast happens just before another fissure becomes available then you're waiting like a third of a second before it casts again and you'll be closer to 5 fissures/2s than 6

idk if affixes actually add fractional cast speed and we just see a rounded figure or not though
and given that the game has a tickrate presumably you always cast on a particular tick rather than what that math says exactly

Oh yeah, and it's not just your own hits. So a bee + FW build with something that hits a lot like MS or maybe ST would probably generate the most possible
of course, it falls into the same trap as bone curse, no matter what you hit with, you will almost definitely do more damage by just scaling the hits

Not that I know of. There are general guidelines you can follow to get most of it - basically all "stats" work, and things more complicated than that generally don't. Attributes, set bonuses, and things relying on "equipped ___" all do not work. If you have any doubts about something, you can ask and someone will probably know.
Doublecast shouldn't matter? It's a triggered cast without a cast time so it can't trigger fissure afaik
Let me know which affixes you're interested in, I played a lot of manifest armor and maybe it can make me think of other possibilities. For instance, I was very disappointed when I realized the % increased damage based on movement speed from vaion's chariot doesn't work
