true, but poison hits are rare, its the poison dot itself that kills
armor to dots is weak, unless to stack it
and if you stacked it, poison isnt an issue either xD
if dots are deadly, you dont have enough leech ^^
counter point: can't leech more than my max hp
mmm, 2500hp with wings doing 1kc, did not notice that situation
raise that corruption
But then I stop 1 shotting things, that slows me down, causing me to take more hits, which makes my defense crumble 😮
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/QJnGX7bQ @turbid dome is the build i meant to link you last night

i dont have armor stuff thought off this is just theory crart
I want damage while channeling and resist while channeling. I can seal either str or resist. Do I risk a removal? Mmm
Yeah ik, I said I usually avoid meta BUT I was eyeing up warlock
There are no poison hits
RV is back on top!
does vengeances bolster node work? its not showing up in the character sheet
who's ready for uhkeiros horns/worldsplitter builds
how does one drop an item like this? as in rank 5
at level 54
still new to the game playing smite pally with the hammer trigger idols
Rank 5 is from the circle of fortune item faction
Is basically means if you swap to merchant guild (player trading) you can’t use this item anymore
You do also need rank 5 in the faction to use it
so catching up on the monthly thing, is the minus 2 mana cost supposed to catch my eye to this?
It can now be used with the splitting node, divine fury. So we can have both single target and clearing capability.
Let's wait and see where it will sit in the tree. Might be forge guard only.
unless that changed something, that is in the Jav node itself, I dont see that being on the passive tree
2h + shield should be a passive on the tree
It has a yet unknown downside and location (point requirement)
I dont know if you're refering to the 2h and shield, or the javalin skill node there
dont mind me, Im known to be blind
If it is forge guard only to have 2h + shield, then mana sustain will be a challange
But on the life stream it was mentioned it should also work with staff
Paladin spelldamage with shield nodes would be some really nice flat
I need to see VC hellish chasm node to convert the void aura to fire
Yes, also devouring orb fire please
some Herot support would be nice too, cold boy needs some item lore love
Voidwinter buff, allow more proc!
let vk steal black hole from sorc ez
Make Smelters great....or even just good, at this point we'll take anything
copy super charge slam from poe2 onto smelters
If it's not FG only, I would be extremely surprised. Especially since it's called "forgemaster's"
if I can use it on void knight thats gonna be silly
Yeh, thematically it just seems like an FG-only thing. Can't see it fitting on VK or pally. Granted, theme isn't the only thing that goes into those design decisions, but it would be nice for FG to have a "thing"
FG gets to use a twohander with a shield
vk grows two extra void arms and can swing two twohanders
VK is just a really buff dude, 2 arms are enough for two 2handers
In a weird way, that's kinda what echoes are

The node clearly mentions certain type of weapons and staff are not part of it
Mike said otherwise, staff still has melee damage on it.
Besides, historically staffs have been used to great effect as martial weapons.
But that’s only 1.4 times the normal arm amount on average
Unless the node has changed since then
It does not allow 2h staff
Axe Mace Sword or Spear
Who knows? Maybe Mike miss spoke? Either way, I am not going to get to exited for any of the spoilers untill we get the preview of the trees on LETools (if we get that again)
Hold weapons in both hands, and should shields be worn on the arm or the back?
Can't tell if you are serious, trolling or joking 😅
LOL, it's a serious question, but you might misunderstand😁
I'm thinking about how I will hold the World Splitter with one hand
I just hope the downside isn't too much, I love EHG but they really put 10 toes down when they add a downside.
My guesses are
- Less Attack Speed
- Less Block Chance
or both
Less attack speed would be great for my currently fav sentinel build - no cd shield charge
Online?
I started last cycle online with it and it was fine, but I also played it offline. Yes, it's buggy and kinda clunky, but I enjoy it
One day they will fix desync enough to where I can rampage freely
Biggest problem was elevation changes actually, randomly stopping the charge. Warping back wasn't an issue with well timed Volatile Reversal on low cd
I hate VR on principle
Desynch was an issue, but I noticed that it mostly happened when charge stopped by hitting something on long distance(1 screen or more). If you let go of button it usually worked fine
VR is weird, so fair, but it just resonated with me
I hate it being so strong for no reason
I can't wait to see what they do with it
I love unspecced VR, or VR very similar to that. It starts to feel really bad when the optimal play for it is getting the damage taken debuffs or as a regular mana recover tool.
It's a really unique skill and I hope it doesn't lose that aspect in the rework
(or at the least, let us spec it back)
Oh cool. I can play Giant's Blood in both PoE and Last Epoch. We love our shields and we love our two-handed hammers
I may or may not understand resistances lol - Am I doing this paladin thing right
Way too much resist
Yeah I'm aware
Above 75% is useless
It's just kinda funny as I'm leveling up through the beginning tiers of monolith
Dumb question though: I see that resistances, according to the tooltip, get 1% peeled for each level of area you're in?
So you'd need 175% resist in a level 100 area?
It caps at 75
So you only need 75%
Monsters get 1% pen per lvl up to 75
Per resistance above 75 doesn't count toward that pen
I guess this confuses me then, especially coming from POE2 where each act gives you -10% resistances, so you need uh 135% resistances on your gear to meet the 75% cap threshold
That's why your total res (or Uncapped Résistance) is shown under but in small
You effectively build to counter that penetration
The point is to have 75% Res, mobs have 75% Pen
That's just cancel each other
That's the difference you are not loosing res like in Poe.
In Poe the cap is also 75 but you start from —60
Here the cap is 75, your start from 0 but the mobs get penetration.
It makes it less punishing if you are not res capped
Usually 60% is good enough until 200-300c
Well I'm SSF so I can't just buy my gear min-maxxed like that, but it's good to note
saves on forging potential at the very least
god my gear is an insane hodgepodge of nonsense rn
erm poison res is good to have a little bit overcapped
42%
Y-yeah, about that lmfao
I suppose that's where sealing affixes comes in
Put a few points of vitality into something, seal it
then go on crafting something else in that spot
nah cause each stack of poison reduces your poison res
and exalted affixes
man why can't ggg make crafting this fun :(
There's so much to tool around with, and there's still a good layer of RNG to make it hard(Or even impossible) to get perfect gear
It's okay, it's a long process
I have never played mg too
my gear has been a cluster because of this thing though lmao
Dropped at uh, looks bottom right, level 6
and I've been using it ever since lmfao - just trying to get gear that fits attunement and strength without really focusing on anything else
really interesting sword though, since it, in function, scales infinitely(I recognize that both strength and attunement are going to have a hard upper limit, but the fact that it's comfortably helping me along in level 70 content as a level 6 drop is a testament to the power of stat scaling)
plus you can offhand it with gladitor
I'm using renegade's will rn as its pairing
this dropped for me awhile ago naturally
unfortunately the vengeance mods don't really mean anything to me as I'm using Rive and Healing Hands Turned Melee
but everything else has been spectacular
This is the 1 resist I basically ignore xD
🤨
Its still at 60 with all res blessing, 20 vit and 20 res while channeling now that I finally have that, but was at 40 for the longest time. Just cleanse on potion (:
Well I figured out where all of my fire res was coming from. I have 86% raw from just my passive trees, and then this monster of a ring doing the rest
Cant wait to play Holy Trail with Spine of Malatros and a Shield
Lol
I, personally, did enjoy Pilum Assault Javelin build last time I played it. It was a Holy Trail build, but I think with change allowing Divine Fury work with Siege Barrage, I might go electrify instead.
Does Javalin get a fire conversion? And a way to become damage over time? Wouldnt Volcanus be better as you get leech?
Holy Trail is Dot, Fire
I believe we get the tags
Haven't checked
So many maybes, 3 months is gonna take so long 😦
Yes 💀
That's pretty easy to check
Well it doesnt
sucks
😦
tried a couple classes at release and now but I always go back to sentinel
real
@crimson crystal do you mind sharing your planner?
What kind of content do you do with it?
I'm still working my way through monos but it's probably the safest build I've played so far
If you have a clip even

nah, no clips, sorry
What lvl are you?
Playing with a Spear?
like before the cycle reset I did smelter's wrath with a bunch of forged weapons for ward and it wasn't working because damage was good but required too much setup in placing ward-generating weapons first

brother that hp
picked up HH for survivability because anything that can't one-shot me I can just heal through and, well, it doesn't have a cooldown like rebuke
forge strike is just kind of there
listen I'm trying ok
I'm going for every single health node I can
get vitality + flat hp + % hp on your body armor
What do you do with HH?
You so fast
or on your helmet
helmet I just went for dexterity and health, yeah
@waxen nymph do you know which artist made the time bubble
I love how it looks all wiggly
No sorry
all good
I could just stand in the damaging areas during the rahyeh black sun fight which were usually WAY more dangerous, because 4 casts of HH per second is nuts
HH is fun
if you have a lot of attunement you can have it give ward
yeah I did that on a paladin but I don't think it's worth it on this character
feels like too big an investment for it, I'd rather just build more health
Ah no minions then?
minions getting in the way of 62k sheet damage on javelin :V
but for reals I had a minion-based FG last cycle I wanted to do something different
That’s fair
If I get inspiration while a skill is on cooldown, is the cooldown affected by inspiration?
or is it only if I have inspiration when the skill goes on cooldown
No
so many build guides around, any recommendation for a fun paladin build that you can take through campaign and into early empowered monos? ideally with a solid filter included to hold your hand 😛 returning player
dang
warpath + smite is always good
grab a shield for the spell dmg with a shield pally nodes
vortex relic + smite on throwing attack hits
any recommended one on last epoch tools by any chance? not sure who the "good" content creators to follow are anymore
uhhh
maxroll doesn't have one and I haven't looked at LE tools in a bit
hammerdin is also a classic
no spin2win but it is orbit2win
yeah i'm about to try VK warpath so hammer throw is a good call, did holy trail back in the days
oh vk warpath smite also works well
or just pure warpath
^ hammerdin
^vk warpath
max roll has a bunch you can use as a starting point
imo maxroll will never have the giga best build, but they explain their builds so well (and most can clear all content) that I gotta recommend them (at least for LE)
yeah i used the maxroll levelling guide for VK using rive+healing hands
up to 60 and about to switch to a warpath one to try it out
they seem great for campaign and early monos but always have to tinker with the filters after that 😛
yea
yay wizard vk is happy
looks like my old healing hands pally got bricked lol
the one that generated insane ward
yeah they changed the ward formula
its easier to hit 4k ward but way harder to go past that
so we don't have 20k+ ward builds walking around and face tanking everything
Also the ward gain got reduced
ye
Are you sure on this? I thought it gave normal CDRS which doesn't snapshot afaik
From what I have saw with my VK yes
I can check a bit more later when the update is done

@alpine canopy Is Inspiration giving the same stats as the Time Bubble CDRS ?
Looks like it from the wording
It should, it just says it grants increased CDRS
I am still a bit confused, I feel like there is 2 different CDR stats
Some things that say increased CDRS are actually "more" CDRS (tornado spec is the only one I can think of), and sometimes there are actual cooldown reductions which probably would snapshot on skill use
Oh its the Tornado thing that get me confused
but those actual cooldown reductions are really rare and only on skill specs afaik, so whether they snapshot or not doesn't matter yet
I put the first Shield I had on to try with Shield Bash since it has such a big CD
Grim Constitution is funny
That's some nice ward 😂
Oh but the refund on stun mechanic screw me
So the CDRS from the Time Bubble start speeding things straight away
TIL
I thought it would not affect the current cd but work as snapshot
I like to think of cooldown recovery speed like mana regen, it seems to work kinda the same way in that it's like ticking down at the cooldown and whatever your CDRS is at the time makes it tick down more or less
or up
I love watching my dorbs when I go through an arena echo
dorbs are cute
Eruption ?
in my mind dorb is also short for adorable
(and looking forward to its spec updates in 1.2 lol)
but more importantly vs bosses I keep them all up then abyssal echos and the boss explodes
this thing @waxen nymph its just more void when I throw a void spell
this build is entirely managing cooldowns to keep everything up
Now I want to try AE + DOrb
You are too deep into the meme
meme?
lol no
that costs mana
abyssal rifts + hit
I've been messing around with the tree a lot, this is what I currently have
Does this count toward the increment for Void Rifts ?
no idea I use hollow orb
given the wording on nether breach I'd assume yes it would increment it

Engi!
Are you able to check that for me?
My connection just died and it's 2 am I should go to bed
(the Judgment portion)
I don't have a paladin
@waxen nymph void wizard becomes tankier
But where is the cleanse 🤔
leech through it
for just entering empowered on this character its nice
is this different? it seems a lil different
also does look like it's working again
but also new bugs too lol
That looks like my build😅
void wizard gaming
At which corruption are you?
Started the season like this, was definitely funny while leveling, now it feels normal
Made a new character to use the like 50 omnividences I rolled before I took a big break
Got into empowered tonight
Ah I see, how many with more than 1 LP do you have?
LP?
That's where the fun begins
Legendary potential
I just bought all the 0lp ones and have been throwing them into nemi
I know what lp is
I thought so😅
It’s to annoyingly rare to spam roll a bunch of lp omnis
Do you need some inspiration?
So am I^^

It's the big boom
Big boom + shred bubble left behind on the boss
That's how the void wizard do
Real
Keep us updated, I wanna see how far you get with volatilw reversal
More dmg is more dmg
Mechanically too much of a risk for me to misplay, sadly
I know
What are you at like 2k corruption or something
That’s a rite of passage for any vk
Well, I am not a knight, I am a wizard
Your a wizard knight
You get the coolest drip from both styles
Anyways time to go see if there’s a classic wizard hat in the mtx shop
Full armor + wizard hat = peak
Did you find one?
sooo forge guard might be intresting with the rework 2h and a shield??!
is there any secret to farming up the world splitter axe? ive been yeeting ascendance runes to no avail
World splitter is a boss drop. You can not get boss drops from runes of ascendance. You will have to go kill the boss.
?
Tried it this morning, maybe the ground fissure effect is a bit different
thanks ill do more research
any recomendations for how to fasttrack the monolith progression
this is my first time giving LE an honest go
(gotta say these lizards and nemesis mechanics are a godsend for sweet progression gear)
Idk I sent that then fell asleep
Seems like CF tag isn't always applying when it should
I thought the beam of light was maybe newish. Haven't played judgment since the 1.0 pre release though 😂
What have you noticed?
Oh, have you got any IGBRs submitted?
I found it
Yes, I reported it in game
One thing I didn't report though is the bug report hotkey already shows up in the keybinds menu, I got excited and tried it, but it isn't implemented yet since I figure it's probably meant for 1.2

Yeah, that one has caught a few players out 😅 If you have screenshots I can add them to your ticket 🙂
which channel would it be for a visual skill bug? (like the visual one or the skill one)
the time wave subskill's visual effect doesn't get bigger with increased aoe
Thank you! I hope the words are good enough, there's not really much to see other than the two items that neither have the purple faction tag, when one of them definitely should
https://discord.com/channels/368953963267096586/1210285866266660975 - Though IGBRs are always best!
should I do both or just IG
does IG get a video of it?
That's a lot of area actually 😂
Is 'increased AoE' coming from a skill node or affixes? Did this happen before the Unity upgrade or is it new?
IG does not get videos though you can upload it to imgur and include that link in the IGBR, we can see those!
anomaly's AOE node also increases timewave's aoe
and timewave gets its own AOE node
I have increased AOE on my amulet, the anomaly AOE node and the timewave AOE/DMG node
I'm not sure if the amulet is actually increasing it or not (I'm guessing yes)
very interesting considering none of anomaly's ailment stuff applies to time wave
the node says it also gets anomaly's aoe
Did this happen before the latest patch?
I believe so
I like just updated my monitor to a really big + nice one so I just assumed I was missing it before
Right, that's good to know! I'll mention the visual thing today for you, let me know when you've sent in the IGBR 🙂
I did just send the ingame report
making a clip without time bubble so its easier to see
@marble quest you said upload the video to imgur then post it in visual bugs correct?
You can upload it to imgur then copy paste that link into the IGBR tool 🙂
ah beans I submitted it
You can submit another IGBR or post them to Visual Bugs and I'll go add them to the ticket
I'll submit another one so less work for you
for anyone else wanting to look at it behold, the wacky powers of the void
i already did. just need better gear and it can do it at higher corruption. it's a great lightless arbor farmer also.
swag
with at least two people playing void wizard its no longer a meme @waxen nymph
I do see two not voidy spells tho
https://www.lastepochtools.com/profile/niche/character/VioletViolence
character currently. probably not going to work on him too much. will probably play it again after april patch with devouring orb change.
sigils are void converted. HH is used with Smite, but tbh i don't even smite. it's really just orb/sigils/anomaly.
the dorb change is gonna be crazy for this dude
with more optimization i can probably get 170-180% move speed, and there's room for more damage, but it'll never be a high corruption pusher. maybe 300ish in great gear, at least for this style of farming.
I mean if your building to just zoom through echos why not grab a point in void ageis if your feeling squishy
with 1 point that thing is seemingly never down in echos
i had one there til i needed to pull points for sigils
ah
only have 2 points left to get, so they are going (back) in singular purpose
You know, I am considering ER
elden ring?
yeah probably, especially at low corruption like this

I mean if minus a lil leech leaves you with not enough healing -> just do more dmg ez
I ran this once, built into abyssal orbs and put dorb on autocast, felt kinda like a strange totem build, it was neat
I never really optimized it or pushed it anywhere though
auto cast?
the numlock thing
oh
i came up with this thing too. the regen/wall of nothing stuff is experimental, but i basically wanted to use ravaging aura to supplement my purple bowling ball and automate abyssal echoes. i tried it with a non slammed pair of weapons and normal other gear and it seemed to work well, then the 3LP beacon and its matching slam exalt dropped and i've been back on the original build since then.

if you can make it work go for it
it's just bonus damage and automating AE
fair
What kinda corruption were you going for?
it felt pretty good to me, the only thing I didn't like was having to spam VR on bosses
I think I was at like 600? I was probably missing something build wise
Ah okay, I rarely have the attention span to push things that high lol
Link
link to what
Your stream link
Idk
It definitely did, yes
Do we know what that big update was?
engine update
theres a pinned message in general chat
why would that not be pinned in news?
I do wonder how much that is gonna help certain things, but hey, progress is progress.
I asked the same question
but originally theres wasn't even a pinned thing in general
Because for some reason they thought a 7gb patch would not raise question, I guess
Apparently some other minor changes slipped in, like shrines work properly in dungeons again
I havent done a dungeon in ages
oh yeah I can actually see the spinny phys dmg beam shrine
"It's noon on a Thursday, no one will notice." meanwhile us godless heathens addicted to their game pressed against the screen like PaTCh.
the patch was yesterday but ye
Some of us enjoy sleeping engi, we miss things
I question it after your last like 40hr charge into madness awhile back xD
but also I slept like 19hrs yesterday because I worked two weeks of 70hrs and was like, today is optional
Its the end of the busy season, so getting that last drive in before I go back to playing video games for a living again
lol
Literally one of my filter rules
true hahah
thanls
A good loot filter saves your life
i literally didnt see it coming
Dying in front of that many shield is some irony
Streamer teaser, new node for smite
Looks like the cast reduction is gone and reduced to 4 instead of 5 points?
Hm yep, semi-nerf to procced smite, but buff for direct cast smite
procced smite uses warpath and specs out of this node late game though
and having both is just really insane early game power, IMO
Yeah, that's why it's only a semi-nerf, doesn't even reduce its bonus per point, so you get one point back even if you did use this fuly invested
not all procced smite builds use warpath ofc
I would consider it a buff as it enables self cast smite, especially good for void
Assuming the crit multi per point spent stays ofcourse
I'm using Rive
I didn't really bother to check to see how I could make Warpath mana-neutral, or mana positive for that matter when I got my Palarus
Hahaha, I never take risks when doing prophecies; who knows, there might be some fantastic 3-4lp rolls in there that I need
You need to upgrade your filter; checking through all this mess takes quite a lot of time, especially later when the quantity increases several times
still fine tuning the build but i've never been able to max out all resistances like this before
ending up with 3000 ward on almost 1k health has me tanking everything
Unless you're using null portent, you've actually gone way past the amount of resists you need
it's a really nice thing about pally, being able to cap resists so easily 😁
And the only res where overcapping it that much might do something isn’t overcapped that much
Reinvest those res affixes into some other defense
definitely. i just remember crafting for my life on my first character just to cap the base elemental res so i was impressed how much easier it is with paladin lol
obviously a very rough build as i'm still trying to level up and farm good gear. only half way through first mono rn 🫣
is there a way to scale single target dps with multistrike?
Wait until 1.2
But until then, basically using it to proc smite and HH, and generally to scale it all together you run an electrify build or something like that
surprised that so few people talk about holy trail, it's so smooth
especially the spear version with pilum assault
Its probably because it's an "old" or at least older build
a classic you could say 😄
it's nice that filters show you what's obtainable based on item type now
small coverage area and delay doing damage and needs VR to do boss damage, so it's not ranged anymore.
how can multistrike proc healing hands? i just see that direct smite cast can proc it
The node just to the left of the direct cast smite node
mind blown. Does this less upfront healing from indirect cast on this node also affect the indirect cast from smite?
No
I have no doubt in my mind im following the yellow brick road laid out by the devs for this electrify aurelis/palarus build. but i dont care
It's a good thing for devs to lay out "cookie cutter" builds
The trick is not making them too strong/too weak while leaving other competitive options laying around
It's a fun build tbh, don't forget to grab volatile reversal for its damage taken debuffs, it's absolutely huge on single targets
not familiar with that. which debuff?
oh i think i see it. its the time rift and harbringer of dust nodes
yeah
those are the reason why VR is on basically every sentinel (once you start pushing corruption)
more dmg 👍
make sure to look at the attack speed/cast speed node after using VR cause then that helps you apply more dot stacks (or just hit stuff in general)
just double checking. the only way to generate sigils of hope without directly casting is via the last wish node? (get sigil on kill)
theres a ring that auto casts it
ohhh, so there is....
though sigils only buffs cast speed not attack speed as well oops.
i guess theres a world where a build focusing around casting smite directly
i went with paladin but the passive tree doesnt really offer much in terms of damage. just a lot of defensive nodeswhich is still good
this triggers separately from echos
Best qol ring ever imagined
ye
oh lol wow
this + one reduced bonus dmg taken from crit affix covers you
it also has 550 armor
thats a lot of armor
no points in blinding light necessary then
ngl this is my first time not going ward stacking so kinda walking into this blind
just to say how crazy 550 armor on a helmet is, 2 non sentinel body armors go above 300 armor
ignoring uniques and affixes, just implicits
welcome on in, your gonna feel not having a huge max hit
you also have this beef cake of an armor to look forward too
i was originally gonna go with this. i guess its not necessary?
that was a lot better to grab before leonine was added
you can grab it if your gonna use a unique helm
and it will help before you get to level 85
also put 5 points into this
oh wow true
base sentinel tree
yeah, multipler reduced damage sounded too good to be true lol
weapons master (middle, first collum in forge guard) can be good
champion of the forge (forge guard) is great for a strength stacking 2hander build
for grabbing VR from VK, just slap points into abyssal endurance
cant say no to free res
void corruption can be tempting but if your not a VK I don't think you don't get enough value from it
what kind of a build were you thinking?
electrify with aurelis and palarus sword. devotion necklace to start. havn't really thought it through beyond that
gonna need something to mana dump with
the double swing in the multistrike tree dumps my mana, but i dunno if it helps with the dps at all
so the skills im levelling are
smite
hands
multistrike
VR
was gonna be holy aura for passive buff to attack speed?
holy aura is strong
I've tried that build. The issue with it is that you're encouraged to have low mana, and that means you can't cast sigils during that time, and you can't use movement skills. So you're kinda forced into facetanking, which really sucks late game
dont forget you get this + the tree
why are you encouraged to have low mana? but i definitly see that issue yeah
read the devotion amulet
ahhh right forgot what that did lol. not yet at the level to use it
.>
wait if im scaling electrify, does it even matter to use devotion?
or well, i geus the damage and pen help. but i dont really care abou t the first two lines no?
Yeah i'd just use another amulet
I have a devotion with t7 mana and it just doesn't work well
i feel like if i get an lp2 devotion (not that i have one for now) its just free stats no?
A 2lp other amulet is also free stats
If you end up with a good chunk of vitality, then apostate's sanctuary is great for tankiness
And more damage is always great
true
I use it on my forgeguard and don't even have rebuke spec'd and it gives me a free 3k ward and lets me tank harbingers
just watch out for casting spells
just checking, you dont use void reversal as an actual movement ability. its just for void rift placement? im thinking of speccing in to smite movement ability
After capping my armor in poe2 yesterday, all it did was make me appreciate how good the armor situation is in LE
poe2 armor is so bad
Not only do you not need a gross amount of armor to reach the cap, it applies to elemental damage too
Sure, at a 30% reduction compared to physical, but that's still amazing.
And yeah, GGG going with the Diablo 2 stance of "Big hits ignore armor" is f-redacted stupid
It's on direct cast. The only direct spell you'll be casting is rebuke itself, since you'll be auto casting sigils, smite, and healing hands
he's thinking of using VR too
ahh, I don't consider using it most of the time
I should probably tool around with my paladin more, but I got suckered into trying bow-rogue after reaching level 100 monos on pally
you should its a crap ton of more dmg
and thats also why its getting reworked
Probably not super efficient
can you turn healing hands into lightning damage instead of fire
seems easier to just buff one damage type instead of two
Nope, only proc electrify
you can make it a giant orbital laser beam
F to kio
Hell yeah to Engi
yeah I figured the embed would fail, but we love giant explosions
(a fire laser beam)
I mean its close enough, cmon now.
no need to split hairs over "big giant pillar that deletes problems"
If you ignore the fact it doesn't scale with lightning, then yeah, I guess you could say it's a form of lightning 👍
lol
Yeah, that's the "F" part
doesnt matter what dmg type it do to apply aliments
It's not a hit either, it can't apply ailments 😔
beans
so what are the hot new paladin builds nowadays? should be dipping my toes into empowered monos shortly
things that don't require too many hard to find uniques or slamming
Tri Dot Sent with the Ruby Fang set if you want the most "why is this working" build you can find right now
I still need to try the VK version of that, I can only imagine how good the echoes are with it

Now if we could only get a way to give Rive the fire tag we'd really be cooking with gas.
I mean if rive is getting a full void conversion, I can see it getting a fire conversion

I would LOVE that, you could stack dots to the moon
I’m still surprised that a set works so well
Probably my favorite part of Diablo 3
pretty much everyone has at least a piece of set gear good for leveling
Now. . . keeping it through the endgame(GR150)? Probably not
It's because of the huge amount of pen, and also it abuses the fact HH has the fire tag and can be converted to melee
the wpn is also an axe which has really good support, and lightning meatball?
I wana love the forgotten knight set for void dot
I'm still struggling to find a replacement for my hammer on paladin lmao
void dot in general needs love
Convert meteor to lightning staff + lightning dmg to spells per int hat
I forget the name
It's not perfect by any means, and I don't even use vengeance
oh that one
Let me uncap time rot stacks
but good lord is that a solid dps buff
Yea
yeah I dont know why it's capped, would make sense if it was capped because it explodes when you reach the cap or something
I mean time rot, 12 hours
Theme wise it’s great
Just slap a node at the end of VK that uncaps time rot stacks but removes the easier to stun per stack part of it
*stun duration
I mean we're getting a sent rework soon, so we'll see what they do
spa day xD
I really wish VC could be done one handed outside of the one unique
I wish I could VC with a hammer
It'll kinda be able to in 1.2, if you count one-handing a two-handed weapon
f again
Can’t wait to see crit avoidance and poison res

🛐
I look forward to my Giant's Blood build
That said, I wonder how two-hand weapons match up against 2x 1h weapons in the dps department. Far as I can figure, 2x 1h is better for dps, but 1handing a 2H weapon+Shield should give way more survivability?
A 2h with bulwark is the only combo I can think of that'd be better for damage
there is the unknown downside to it
FWIW, I actually appreciate 2x 1H weapons having more DPS than any given 2hander.
well yeah they swing faster
thats also why all the duel wield stuff comes with more dmg taken
They also give more raw stats combined than a 2h
For bleed, 2h + flayer's pride could be better offensively than DW, depending on the unknown downside
ye
I always forget that shield exists lol
I always forget about the bulwark of the last abyss
is Vengeance good for anything? Is it a usable single target skill?
eh?
its ok, but rive (currently) does its job better
the entire iron blades section is not great
but it should be a lot better overall next cycle with the sentinel spa day
i figured, iron blades seem like the only way try to do something with it, but then you've spent so many points into no actual damage
unless you only do single target only i guess idk
its gonna be a lot easier to proc if you build for it next cycle
its not even the low damage, its currently annoying to proc a lot
gotcha
trying to do a HC run, was curious if its decent
it has some defensive mechanics
what about for bossing?
swinging the thing is true melee
rive does more damage, has better aoe/range and still procs time and faith
node in the base sentinel tree, upon using smite/rive/vengence/multi strike you get 10 mana and heal 10% of your missing health
ahh
its very strong
gotcha
then make rive auto cast healing hands
get a little leech
recovery is through the roof
the other big thing in rive (if your using a 2hander) is the "foe cleaver" node
- weapon specialist
paladin seems a pretty safe bet
paladin is solid
but how's forge guard nowadays
solid as well
i was thinking going sword and board
but the passive tree is fairly divided between minions/shield/throwing/twohanders
but there's so many good 2H points and nodes
yea
you can reach the big 2hander node (crit multi based on strength) without going forge guard
but tbh any sentinel should drop 5 points into weapon master if it fits their build
is the survivability from going 1h and shield that much better than going 2h
is it worth going for it
i kinda just wanna live and hopefully have decent (ssf) damage
getting to max block chance with good block effectiveness will make you a lot tankier
just check which skills you want to use as some have very restrictive weapon requirements
ie: void cleave (which can be turned into fire) is like the best movement skill, but it can only be used with a twohanded sword or a twohanded axe
using a shield does also open up all the shield skills
ive played a good amount of LE, but somehow i've never done any shield build so im kinda completely clueless around it
are the shield skills like ring of shields any good
they just seem so weird looking from the outside in
So based on your block effectiveness, when you block (can be 100%) you get damage reduction
So if we have 50% Dr from armor and 50% Dr from blocking a 100 dmg hit goes 100 -> 50 -> 25
I think?
That’s the rough idea
Just also understand blocking only stops hits
Parry chance is the one that fully ignores a hit
ty, cheers
Another shield tip: the endgame choice is between the iron glass shield and the dawn shield,
I recommend the iron glass shield because it comes with more block chance, so it’s way easier to cap block
Dawn shield gets more block effectiveness but capping block is significantly more important
So you have more consistent damage reduction rather than a chance you have 0 and get exploded
gotcha
forge guard shield bash build is nice for HC. it's a little slow, but very durable.
Very solid build
Just expect mana issues until you get going with it
Plus that build duel wields shields
you can play without horns of uhkeiros for a while, but eventually you'll need it.
Yeah
was gonna try that one out actually
i thought you kinda needed the weapon for it tho
the "double" shield
Yea
i mean for using shield bash
It’s pretty common tho and you just gotta grind reign of dragons cause it’s technically an axe
Plus that’s the timeline that drops the other shield anyways
not necessary to get started, but yeah you will want it asap.
shouldn't be hard to get from rune of ascendance. that's how i got my first one for my build.
That too
I do wish that forged weapons would turn into forged shields if you had it equipped
Seeing floating shields just smacking enemies would be funny
Honestly there’s a lot of leveling builds that would work great until you get the stuff for shield bash
ty for all the advice
no problemo!
tho word of warning, current sentinel does rely on VR (volitile reversal) a lot for damage (and some for mana/health sustain), if your thinking about pushing corruption or just killing bosses quickly learning how to use it is important
it is very easy to explode yourself if you miss use it during a bossfight
It's my skill of choice for a flame burst build. I think some VK erasing strike build uses it, too.
I even use iron blade procs because I don't care about the actual damage of vengeance, just melee hits
Coming back to LE after getting burned out of POE 2. Are there any good warpath builds?
Void Melee VK
Spell Fire Paladin
Any resources with a guide? Quite rusty when it comes to this game lol
Appreciate the tips!
Maxroll has a basic VK
Currently building a forged weapon warpath build, seems alright so far
Oo
Tell me how it goes
I am not a fan of Warpath for Forged Weapons
Too slow to make them
It's the first build where I have more points than I know what to do with
Using the set ?
The helmet and chest so far, but I'm going to swap to this once I level some more
(With some tinkering
Ye, probably gonna swap out hh for that
ty
Or the Aberroth's Command Sceptre
Either way don't think it's worth it
What are you using ?
A naal's tooth and
Oo
I'd lose a massive amount of survivability without that
And minion survivability ofc
Playing HC ?
nah
mm, 15x5 is 75 flat, thats more than t7 minion flat
Honeslty, getting VC and a 2h weapon will multiply your dmg by like 5
But thats up to you ❤️
"soon"
Coming

fire warpath paladin recently posted
fire warpath pally is always solid
I can't watch the video @sly magnet (at work), is this an ignite or hit version
It's a mixed Spell Melee Hit
thanks vlad

Fire Warpath Paldin Cycle 1.1.7 Build Guide by BabblingBike
I'd recommend Palarus in general and Orians for farming trash.
Sun Seal makes no sense on the first view, but the mechanic is the best qol you can get in an ever channeling sentinal build
It’s the best qol ring for any build that can fit in sigils
Not if you use Devotion, but else yeah, pretty much that
I think I’d go insane on my wizard vk without it
Given I have 3 skills that I need to smack when they come off cooldown already
Often times if I use sigils, I just let the on-kill do the work and just slap a few on when I feel like it
Sun seal is nice though... especially since it lets you remove sigils from your bar
That is why I recommend Orians for WP builds. The on kill effect is often enough, but not reliable at all.
As you drop a ton of defense when you stop channeling, that is imo Orians strongest use case to have reliable full stacks
Mastery most fun for first time - Void Knight or Paladin?
Void knight gets a giant slam right out the gate, time travel-y stuff, a jojo stand, spell support
Paladin gets giga sustain, holy aura isn’t flashy but is strong, judgement is also a giant slam, lots of smite/spell support
I personally prefer void knight
Alright ill definitely try Void... Next time ill try Paladin. Thanks
Big thing to remember, void knight loves vitality
What you mean? As in uses it?
Each point of vitality (beyond what it normally gives) gives 0.33% more melee void dmg, +2 flat dmg to void spells, and +2 max hp
Oooooooh. kk That sounds like more damage!
If your using rive you get +1 melee void dmg per vitality with an axe
rive can also have double echo chance for 80% echo chance
Oh good cause im using double hand axe. Just feels amazing even with spinorooni
Oh yeah warpath echos are a lil weird
You need a node for it and you gotta keep moving
But you basically leave behind buzzsaws

ok sounds cool. Ill definitely check it out thanks.
No problemo, have fun!
Heh
Guys, how can i get dreamthorn?
Luck or in game capitalism
its fairly common and if your in monos, one of them drops twohanded swords more often (I forget which)
You can also use Rune of Ascendance on 2h sword
Yeah i got it from ascendance
that falls under luck
So is a random drop >.>
yeah you can't target farm it until monos, even then its just go to echos that say "reward is a unique twohanded sword"
but it is a fairly common unique so as vlad said, use your runes of ascendance on any twohanded sword and you can get it
Yup ^^
Good morning fellow gamers!
👋
Currently running shield bash cant decide which would be better to forge
neither they both bad
what makes them bad? afaik isnt the goal to scale physical
ideally, the goal is to scale crit which means you need T6/T7 flat crit
oh is it, then im just dumb and have been building very wrong
although I did consider taking the left side of the tree for shield bash and converting to fire. Seems like theres a build in there that can really scale that
Did they break skyfall? Went back to do some testing in legacy and its totally broken
nvm im stupid my passive tree was reset
🫂

👋
Is there a certain mace i can put onto?
Event horizon would be funny
Shadow beacon if your using spells
i mean for VK warpath ;D
yeah
for vk warpath I'd reccomend apathy's maw over any mace
but as far as unique maces go, those are the two that would probably work the best?
the game kinda lacks a good/generic twohanded unique mace
shadow beacon would be the best imo cause it does come with a large amount of melee void damage (and you can still slam another melee void dmg affix onto it)
yeah but that one is from shade of orobyss
yea
if your looking to slam uniques to make legendaries you should be able to beat up shades
u mean shadow beacon?
if you really want to use a mace, shadow beacon (not shade drop) works
imo switching to apathy's maw (Shade drop) is just better
yeah but i meant cuz of my op mace ;D
this thing
yeah shadow beacon would be your best pet
given that lacks flat melee void dmg
the nemes cooked this mace, pretty nice one ;D
ye
I'd personally be tempted to slam that on a 4 LP hammer of lorent just for the meme of a god-tier leveling item
Uuuhh i dont think this is normal xD
the gate?
no, check #❔┃ask-the-community
im flying like im on a broom xD
Quick question:
Does this apply to the consecrated ground?
(Judgment Tree)
Nvm it does, found it in a reply someone asked the same, my bad, should have ctrl + F'd first. 😛
all good friendo
The rule is
"More Dmg" nodes apply to subskills
-
Unless the type doesn't match : More Hit Dmg won't apply to a Dot but More Dmg or More Fire Dmg will apply to Con Ground
-
The More Dmg depend on a condition of the enemy : More Dmg to Ignited enemies won't work for subskills, only the main skill
-
The Node specify ot doesn't work for the subskill
That is a clear one as well, will not forget, thx both!
One more small question, without volatile reversal, what other ideas would one have for mana regening the pious offering downside? 😄 Any ideas?
- stacking mana regen
- ...
Because volatile reversal was hinted to a slight/complete makeover next patch, want to see if there would be alternatives. 😄
(Although it might still be able to reverse mana state ofc, unsure)
Mana regen is very inefficient to actually gain mana back quickly. The best options for sentinel are the time and faith node in the passives (mana gain on hit), and the mana gain on hit prefixes
Hmmz ye ye, could work... i am trying to play around conq ground as an aura, means I do have some time standing still in between that I could have a better use for, so i could take a fast hitting skill in meanwhile to regain mana, good idea.
You could use Vengeance
It gives you DR, Fire Shred, and has a Global More Dmg to boost Conc Ground
Vengeance supremacy 💪
Also VR is 180% More Dmg for Conc Ground. I personally find it hard to avoid but I get that people want to avoid due it VR being clunky to use
True
Maybe i should use it...cuz the Time and Faith is also a 5 pointer
And then with Deliverance node behind that, it would give 15 mana per hit, but it won't help with clear
and I mean with clear as in...white trash will die instantly
so no chance to hit with vengeance or whatever
And 5 points in Abyssal endurance is way more useful, 20% void and phys res, and some life...
Just wanted to play around conq ground bec I hit this
I know it aint the best, but it seemed fun 😄
The only other options for mana regen then are Horns of Uhkeiros, assuming you're building block chance, or warpath and dodge using Telf'un's mirage
Unfortunately sentinel doesn't have a passive and straight forward mana gain skill like focus
i don't mind sentinel not completely having it tho 😄
Mana is a puzzle we need to solve
true true
but I don't think it'd keep up
Def gonna play around the options, thx for all the ideas 😄
Honestly for Conc Aura, nothing beat VR
Yeah saw the numbers
and so you want VR cd slightly below conq aura's duration to never notice it
You throw Javelin, press Holy Aura, Press Judgement, press VR and then Shield Rush through the monos
For bossing you equip a crystal wand and you are good to go
60% More Dmg + Reduced Mana Cost (means more mana consumed) + Battle Standard
ooh
If you happen to be in the Banner Zone when you press Judgment you will get the %Inc Dmg for the whole Conc Aura Duration
just 0.1% haizz
Anyone tried Judgment Melee WorldSplitter ?
Unfortunately Pious Offering doesn't count as mana cost for world splitter, so at the end of the day it just ends up being a worse version of erasing strike
Its still a 42 Mana Cost skill
With much worse scaling
HE?
Healing Effect
The added damage effectiveness is 350%. I suppose you could make it work, but I think even forge strike would do better. I tried it before and only remember being woefully disappointed
The problem with judgement, as with so many sentinal builds, VR :\
Soon it will be fixed
Dont give hope
I mean we know for a fact that VR won't give 60/180 %More Dmg + refill all your mana + AS/CS
Now, will we get that back somewhere else is a different question
VR won't be mandatory in every build
We will see, have not seen a lot of paladin teasers.
My hopes are in forge guard skills getting buffed (manifest armour just being a punching bag as a skill 😔)
Just having FG's minions be like the Necromancer's would be enough to make me happy. The passive and skills have a lot of support for the minions, but they don't achieve anything
tbh that is a good thing in my opinion 😄 Pigeonholing is never a good thing
1000% agreed
Volatile Reversal

Yeh, if we can make a build out of it, maybe it'd be similar to consecrated path which could be a lot of fun
I want it to have an excessive amount of future strike support
and some way to get its cooldown super slow so its basically flicker strike
It would be neat and probably fitting, but I won't get my hopes up on that one 😅
blinks to enemy -> watch as 15 copies of myself smack the enemy, each applying future strike
VR echos now for some reason and this happens again

Can't wait to play orbiting DOrb and spamming VR through Monos to get more Rifts

Judgement aura is gonna need a gigantic buff to be viable again, even the versions not relying on the mana sustain. Triple damage is no joke.
Define 'viable'
there are many definitions to the word viable
In the context, pretty sure the concern is boss dps will be mega bad
Which is definitely my concern for nearly all sentinel DOT builds in 1.2
That seems really funny
If you stack +mana
Make judgement eat 60% of your mana, have 4000 mana
ez game
These gloves make me miss PoE2's weapon swapping
Those gloves would be hilarious if you could put Judgement on weapon set 2 with no weapon equipped so you can cast it for the glove bonus then go back to spamming rive or w/e basic attack you have without opening your bag
based on what? Did i miss an announcement?
Volatile reversal has been hinter for "major rework" in a way, sometimes mikes said "new skill" instead of "rework" for that one 😛
unsure in what quantity it wil lchange, but we can expect it will have different shit all over 😛
Like said above, VR is getting completely reworked into a melee attack traversal thing. We don't know what it will look like, but since part of the point of the rework is to remove its status of "mandatory skill" it's very likely that the part of it that nearly triples all your DOT damage will not survive.
They plan on buffing sentinel in general to make up for the loss, but no clue how that will shake out - we've seen some really cool teasers though
Mana consumption effects like that one don't count as mana cost btw. There's of course still some synergy with using world splitter and scaling max mana even on low-ish cost attacks like judgment, but sadly we don't get full screen area slams.
Judgement still can get to 55 cost though
I used dots without VR because I hate how it feels and did fine honestly
Dont get me wrong, using it is a huge boost, but it's not mandatory unless you're really pushing deep imo
thats one hot take
It's not really a take when Ive done it
Different people have varied tolerances for things like really long boss fights
Its not quite like equiping veteran boots, but its close xD
It's not nearly that bad, I pushed well into the 200s with it, you're not winning any races but it works. Not every build needs to roflstomp all available content to be 'viable. Like I said, VR being tweaked is gonna change a lot, but we dont know any of the other changes either.
Depending on player skill level, they may need that DPS to kill bosses reliably
but aside from that yeah most things you can beat through attrition
I'd still consider it a mandatory skill for reasonably completing all game content, which is what I consider the bar for viable
It's not a skill level to run in a circle, Ive played some of the weirdest dumbest builds you could try and gotten to empowered, judgement does just fine without it.
Well yeah, pretty much everything can get to empowered, it's after that where builds struggle if they aren't decently solid
Not really, I'd argue almost anything can push into 100, which is the kinda sweet spot that theyve aimed at. Not every build needs to complete the aspirational content to be viable.
I thought 300 was the target
It is
There isn't really any aspirational content yet unless you count pushing corruption limits and arena ladder
But 300 is their target with low gear investment
Anything that does 300 like that can reach 1k by getting proper legendaries
we literally have pinnacle content, and I really doubt most things are gonna push to 1k
And that requires hundreds of hour to get, which most people wont
harbingers do not take hundreds of hours to get to, nor does the pinnacle boss
No but 1kc gear does
The pinnacle boss is just the pinnacle, it's not aspirational content
that...that is literally aspirational, it's not meant for all builds by design
it's like the "true ending" of the story that we have right now
No, those are two different things
Riiight
aspirational content is like hitting 1k corruption
Everything should be able to do Aberroth.
