The Big one is Riposte with Iron Blade

The small one is "on hit", so if you hit 5 enemies with it, you can get 5 iron blades
I swapped off rive to use vengeance for my flame burst build, and iron blade honestly works super great for it

there's way too many nodes and none of them do anything particularly influential
and full investment would require you to give up on the best nodes in vengeance

I finally landed on a setup for my dw fg that feels good
started with multistrike and forge strike on cd, now after a few iterations I'm on rive w/ forge strike spam
run from it, hide from it, it doesn't matter. Rive shows up all the same
it's the only of the three skill they've bothered touching "recently" 😔

Hello sentinel pros! Had a question about warpath builds. I noticed that if I wanna do warpath, I can go vk or paladin. What's my main consideration deciding which mastery to pick?
preferred damage type, if you'd like to be smite instead of melee, if you think echos are cool
if you want echos go void knight, paladin gets a lot more smite support and dot support
Ahhh ok so vk would be relying on the warpath dmg, whereas pally would be proccing smite to dmg and or stack dots?
both can proc smite, but pally gets more support for it, both can do well tho
pally can also do fire melee, though vk is better at melee damage
pally also gets shield stuff easier
but VK also gets flat spell dmg from vitality 🤔
its a lot of different things to think about that add up
From what I'm hearing, vk is more offenses, and pally more defensive, in general. And then gearing wise what I go for and what to target (and what I have)
Like if I have a good world splitter it sounds like going vk makes life better? Haha
world splitter isn't very good for warpath
but in general for vk you're going to be going for void gear, and for pally you're going to be going for fire gear

What got changed is the Mana Consumption node. It gives less "More Dmg per Mana consumed". But to compensate the Added Dmg Effectiveness got buffed.
Tldr: it should work like before. You might have a little less Dmg than before

more so because a capstone style of transformation would allow for a lot more build specialization that the current sentinel lacks and I don't see a complete rework really helping unless they turn sentinel into runemaster 2.0

That gains power once in combat mod is ridiculous. I've died to it recently too. I've apparently ran past a spider with it, then on my way back to check lizard loot that poisonous pest just instagibbed me through 4k hp and 120% psn res and block cap. So either it doesnt reset or just keeps ramping regardless?
It was a shocker to me that I’ve been more or less face tanking 250 corruption everything without my aurora even popping. Then I touched that poison tornado for half a second, rolled out of it, and it did 3700 x 3 worth of damage to me. Had a ton of defensive layers including overcapped poison res, high block chance/effectiveness, etc.
The ramping is insane. Maybe it doesn’t reset but only continues ramping when it’s in combat again

Tested again just to make sure I'm not misremembering, divine bolt absolutely gets electrify chance and the spread does not work. The electrify damage one is harder to test with my quick setup, but it seems like it might work.

I can't run sigils without it, but with a perfect duration orians, 2 4x1 idols with +6 duration each, and 5 skill points invested in duration on the tree, i think that gets me to 49 seconds if my math is right
do I need 40 seconds or 50 seconds to keep 5 sigils up?
I think I'm one second shy of 100% uptime if I understand how it works correctly
with that much investment, would i be better off just not using sigils at all? seems like I'm devoting a lot of gear to make it playable for me. Could i get a better RoI speccing a different skill maybe?
Never did the duration math but I can get 3 stacks idling. Also, if you dont have >50% mana by the time it proc at 10th sec, it skips and you have to wait the next 10th sec

Mine skip many times cuz of the way i use mana, so i have to manually recast

Honestly I just put it on and keep 3 Sigils. No need to invest more than that to got to 5 Sigils
I even have enough pts I can get 4 sigils for a few seconds and then go back to 3

Its because of their weapon it gives crit chance based on mana cost

as for rogue ye its pretty squishy but ward and you can just not take damage if you play well
theres a passive on all 3 rogues that give you 100 ward and make the next attack that hit you not do any dmg every so often
the ward is irrelivant but the 1 hit of no dmg is good

for healing like 500 mana
combined with a high mana pool you can hold it for like 1 second and get the full 10 seconds
i mean its not insane speed but its not slow either
its like free 20-30%
so speedwise it would be falconer > sorc > lock

you only ever use 1 or 2 combos on any given build
ye your forced to specialize hard to make it work ... but if you do you severely limit the different invocations you can use together
