having a recovery period to get max health back also plays into similar stand there to regen mana skills
I disagree, I think there is plenty of space it implement it, as there are only a few skills that would or could use it. It's for extra oomph during a boss that is almost dead or a I need everything here to die before I get mobbed to death, not a thing to spam all the time.
are you meaning this as a toggleable buff style of skill or as an always active effect
It's an active, but it only activates at negative mana.
I think we're at an agree to disagree moment, because if you can leech a resource, its not a real cost imo
Only if your leech is enough to outpace the spending
It should be about opportunity cost, how much do you need to overcome it. If it takes every slot needing t6/7 affixes of increased leech, and base leech, it's not something everyone could or will do.
That’s falls into my previous message of the health cost would either be prohibitively high so you can only make a few attacks or low enough to ignore
If you want it to be only a few attacks, that is going to be a massive health cost. Something along the lines of 1000% of your mana cost as a health cost. Which for a 61.5 mana cost (base + hastened cataclysm + hastened cataclysm + avatar of regret) erasing strike is 615 health cost. That’s easy to sustain.
If you were using an apathy’s maw for this and not a world splitter, your mana cost is 33 (base cost + avatar of regret) as your not stacking up your mana cost. With the increased leech rate from it that’s even easier to sustain.
If you want it to be a few swings for an incredibly well geared late game void knight, which then locks this play style behind extreme late game gear, by making the health cost prohibitively expensive. This is beyond an opportunity cost and is just an extremely high cost to simply engaging with this kind of mechanic. To me this is poor game design as you should not have gameplay styles that are effectively locked behind late game gear.
My suggestion for burning/reducing max health allows for the gameplay style you are suggesting. Save it till the end of the fight in a fairly safe style, so you can use it as additional burst to end the fight before the price of the additional burst catches up with you. However, it also allows for the
Orobyss take the wheel gameplay style where you find yourself running around in the middle of a fight with half your max hp burnt until you can take a second to catch your breath, then you charge back in.
615 health cost per swing is NOT going to be sustainable in any fashion, especially with negative mana active as a multiplier
It is when your leeching well over your max hp every second in healing
Until of course when you spend more than your hp bar and then die due to the scaling on the health cost
Which farther locks this gameplay style to a late game only build
That's an opportunity cost, and you have to have gear to get there, and yes, that is the other thing, you swing too many times and you die. Also it doesn't lock anything away from low levels, all it means is the better your gear the more often you get to swing that extra, and how quickly you can recover from it. You're essentially doing with health what sorceror does with mana
I also dont think there is anything wrong with having late game builds, but then you need to define what and where late game is. My late game is not yours for example.
On a side note, I wish swarmblade was the first form instead of spriggan
Isn't bear the first?
The bear is the mastery bonus skill
Im also with engi that sent needs a transform skill. Like, give paladin a giant glowing soldier thing to stomp around in temporarily.
But above all that? I'd settle for Lich having a 4th skill again
I disagree here, mana costs stay fairly static while your max health and health sustain rapidly get stronger. This means if you actually want to leverage this into a core aspect of your build, you need a lot of life and a lot of sustain, which effectively locks it out from pre-end game characters due to the combo of rapidly increasing health pools vs static costs
I disagree that this is similar to a mana stacking sorc as leech is extremely strong compared to any mana sustain tools that sorc has.
I do agree that late game builds should be a thing, however the only pain for gain that vk has right now is ravenging aura, which honestly could use a complete rework at this point so you could actually build around it. My entire original idea with this suggestion was a useable pain for gain mechanic that could be used from the campaign to the late game when you have multiple 2lp red rings
Hell making ravenging aura into a full skill that enables pain for gain mechanics would be interesting too
I was saying that forge guard should get a customizable mecha as a transform skill, but a super god powered Paladin sounds dope too
Only you can get lots of life and sustain if you build for it even early game, it's just not optimal. As for RA, I'd be happy if the fire conversion fully converted it. The dark knight theme using hp as a resource has been around forever and I think there is more than enough space right now for it to happen.
Beyond ravenging aura, what health as a resource does vk even have (beyond it keeping you alive)
80% of void knight could be re-themed as fire damage and burn out rather than fade away. Only things that wouldn’t fit are the two time travel skills, but people hardly use those for the actual time travel portions of them
VK should be void/cold or void/light anyway. More thematic and reduces the overemphasis on fire in Sentinel
I agree with void/cold, the abyss is cold af
Pally should get some lightning support
Yeah. They have some but could easily use more
And another skill but that's a different conversation
I think the only thing that has less support than electrify is future strike
I mean VC is a base skill, it doesnt need moving around, I want my hereot stuff though. Why no love for the cold god?
Exactly, we must carry on his legacy
And that would be a good vector for spear support since his lance is important
I think we're cooking
Have the hereot stuff allow for you to be a mounted frost knight who uses a lance
We have falcon, why not horse?
My first thought was a centaur cause hereot is a centaur/ deer dude
But that would probably break everything/require special models for most things so let’s go with a knight on horseback
It could take a page from league of legends Rell and be made out of shards of ice, so in mounted mode your on a horse and move faster but in dismounted mode the shards form an extra layer of armor on you (and slow you down a bit)
I was thinking like the crusader from d3 where you could use the skill and jump on the horse and ride around

I feel like pretty much everyone we meet dies
Anyway, Heorot is the Primalist boi
Whr fire as a primalist. Why ice
Sons of artor
they should have thought of that before having health bars
stand down or die
They do have a teensy bit of fire, but it's a side thing. Hopefully it gets a little more love eventually like how sent has slowly gotten some lightning support.
At this rate my armor is going to rust
Just craft a new one Sent or find a forge guard or be a forge guard yourself.
something something void something something
Engi is 400% lost to the void
perhaps

🤯
Engi is at least 67% void by volume at this point.
void gang
🙄
0/10 no dex affix
wots dex for
flat phys with rive while using a sword
I will make a dex stacking sword using rive
levithan carver gang

wait is the chat slow mode gone
Hmm I've never looked into dex build 🤔
the biggest thing about it imo is getting a dodge chance on sentinel
but you are basically locked into rive or throwing skills
I'm still not sure if I'm gonna play the mid cycle refresh, tho the tellings of sentinel changes for the next full cycle makes me excited
Yeah, when I realized there were no balance changes it kinda killed it for me
I am excited for the community event though
Eh, extra skeles doesnt seem all that involved, but maybe there will be more too it announced as we get closer
I understand a lot of their changes are big ones for next cycle but even a few small item changes would be fun
like make celestial doom's cooldown not be 4 seconds
Oh yeah, I'd rather then cook until things are ready than rush anything.
it would be funny if they threw a bunch of half cooked uniques into the experimental item pool
Half cooks probably wouldn’t be bad, allows them to test things out. Don’t think too many are coming back for a refresh without cycle/balance changes anyways
it'd be funny ifthey just removed the weapon requirements from skills and opened up build diversity
Nah no half cooks, they are already trying to come from behind and with POE2 right around the corner they cant afford mistakes
Slap on mourningfrost for more flat and go phys/cold 😂
but the pure phys dream
change it to fire dmg with a sword and make eye of reen great again
illegal
we all know maces are the bestest for fire damage
tho by design of the node I guess paladins are suppose to be the dex guys of sentinel?
if the other two are vk and fg
ignoring that you can mix and match whatever you want, fg just always strikes me as the more attunement stacking guy
FG has that one node that gives a bunch of dex
But that's the only other I can think of
remove the best favor and nemesis farm in the game, thanks ehg

Let's all maps be lost catacombs.
lost catacombs my beloved
Honestly it should be phys dmg with a spear
but not scaling of int, we need the off stat madness to stop
int was more a joke
but dex with a spear would be good and would make rive a nice slot in for a jav build
I do wish that rives combo would be different based on weapon type
so like a sword is the current one, a spear is forward thrusts, an axe is wide arcs infront of you, a mace is a big circle slams infront of you
Mace is just the MHW triple hammer slam
yes
Bonker?
hammer water strike when
elemental weapons, as in shapes made of water and such
sounds good to me
d2's paladin hammers were already made of light
well, magic
Give me a hammer throw option where I just chunk it and it explodes in an area
there kinda is already though ?
There is nothing like what I described in hammer throw
Or, I could throw the hammer, it lands, and it explodes, I was rather clear on what I wanted
you want to throw a hammer, and you want it to explode in some way
i literally offered a solution
theres even a node for the hammer to not return if you want to be extra thorough kek
No, I want the hammer to be able to be thrown, land, still be the hammer, and then explode. What you are describing is completely different
you basically want to throw bombs
or a trap
it just would look like a hammer instead
I want hammer to go from point A to point B, then explode. So I can combine it with the shoot in a nova node and be a walking warcrime
Imagine exploding orbiting hammers

throw out ethereal hammer -> hammer hits something -> corresponding elemental/void explosion
name the passive for it after the forge guard who used the new rings we got this cycle
ez
Or a hammer that shoots out lightning
Like you toss it and it zaps things it goes through
Like that scene from Avengers where thor throws the hammer through all the alients and it's zapping people
throw two hammers and theres a lightning line between them
Okay, that's definitely smite on hit
But it's gotta just be a matter of time before we get a 1h mace that supports lightning hammer throw, right? We already have those silly idols
nah more multi strike smite swords
so the hammer throw nova skill mod how is dps calcultaed as i think only 1 hammer can hit 1 target so is it only counting that fact
If abyssal echos has void purifier & the heavenly gift nodes, do the passives from void knight tree that increase and add void dmg and void spell dmg no longer apply?
converting to fire with void purifier means that the skills base damage is now fire. this base damage will scale with increases to fire damage and not increases to void damage...
however the flat added void damage from vk's tree will not be converted into fire damage by the skill and with both abyssal echos will be doing both fire damage and void damage. This flat void damage is still void damage for the purpose of scaling it. This is similar to have melee void damage on your weapon and using a pure physical melee skill, the adaptive damage from your weapon becomes physical and the flat added void dmg from the melee dmg affix is void dmg. Or using the ritual stake wand base which adds void spell damage and not adaptive spell damage, so a fireball casted with it equipped would do both fire and void damage.
heavenly gift just makes the 2 fire spell dmg per vitality it has into 2 fire spell dmg per attunement
The flat added void dmg will not be converted into fire damage by the skill, but abyssal echos will still benefit from added flat dmg? Am I correct?
yes
you'll just be doing both fire dmg and void damage
And flat dmg is where it would say +1 spell dmg vs increases to dmg say increased spell dmg
yes
if theres a % sign its not flat
specificly from vk's tree these are flat dmg
Oh, one more...but will it benefit from flat fire damage too?
yeah
given your wand/staff/scepter is giving a lot of flat fire, adding more flat fire is good
would flat spell dmg be just as good?
if its generic flat spell damage that gets turned into flat fire damage since your fire converting the skill
overall as much flat as possible is the way to go imo
given all your scaling is based off of your flat dmg
so, the more flat you have, increases to dmg are more beneficial?
yeah
100% increased dmg with 50 flat dmg is 100 total damage
100% increased dmg with 100 flat dmg is 200 total damage
then consider more multipliers
I need to write this down or something. Thank you
no problem
just remember all sources of increased damage are added together, where are more damage is multiplied together
so 100% increased spell dmg and 100% increased fire damage would be 200% increased dmg for the fire part of your spell
whereas if it was more spell and more fire it would be base dmg * 100 * 100
Yes, only one hammer per throw can hit any given enemy with a regular nova throw (spiraling enables multiple hits). No clue how the tooltip calculates things, never rely on that for accurate answers, calculate it yourself.
Unless the stat itself is a percentage (like resistance, endurance, crit stuff, etc.)
another thing @copper walrus different skills have different added damage effectiveness, idk what it is for abyssal echos, but rive has an added damage effectiveness of 100% so whatever your flat added damage is the flat damage on the skill. most skills will have like 200% or 300% so your 50 flat might be bigger than 50
thats true
305%
then take your flat and multiply it by 305% to get your actual base dmg for it
meteor having 900% added damag effectiveness will always be funny to me tho
I'm not sure the added damage effectiveness for abyssal echo hits is listed anywhere, I assume it's 100%, but idk
fitz said its 305%
That's abyssal decay's I think
if you convert to fire, it doesn't apply abyssal decay
Yes, hes right. My mistake
oh yeah the node before it removes the decay but makes its base dmg 20
this might show how much I've used abyssal decay
I've honestly never used the node that converts it to a hit skill, always seemed like it would tank its damage and haven't felt the need for healing
I've used it to trigger celestial doom
Hm, apparently its tags are also bugged, still has DOT tag
Here is the one I meant to send
Maybe because of screaming rifts it counts as a dot?
Shouldn't affect it
Oh snap i didn't catch that
whereas screaming rifts makes an abyssal rift that is causing the decays
which is its own sub ability
Does it really not convert the chains to hits? That is so odd lol
screaming rifts (node before abysall rifts one) turns of chaining
Vorpal explosion removes the chains
typo
Well, same thing, chains, repeats, etc.
abysall rift for context
it literally just sits there and farts abyssal decay onto enemies its kinda funny
gives you 100% uptime on it for lagon ez mode
Whichever way it goes, it sounds like the tags are bugged. If you can still apply abyssal decay with stuff other than the initial burst, then it shouldn't lose the void tag when you convert it to fire
With time compression, screaming rifts, and shreiking echos, it gets crazy
fair
Time compression removes the cooldown and then with the other 2 nodes you get 5 echos per cast
Yeah, AE is a really strong spell tbh
I use it for single target damage on my rav aura buildd
I just made a paladin and didn't want to go with the usual
judgement gaming
thats on the bar too but i removed the initial hit dmg
imagine making cool looking items and then putting in models for those items that are literally just a common chestplate
I'm so purple I can't see the lack of unique models for uniques their suppose to be coming some time
to be fair poe has the same problem it took years for kando's pride to get its own model
I mean, 3d art takes time, and it definitely takes money. Also, it's not like you can normally see it in game unless you really look.
That tasted purple

Yeah, they've made 3d models for all hand-held items at this point (except Aberroth's Command didn't come with one), armor will take a hot minute - helms will probably come before the others.
I've been rocking the forgotten knight mtx set since I saw the bundle for it
it looks dope af
Is in OK to play pala with a staff ? so far im playing smite build with a 2 handed staff and it fees great
why wouldnt that be ok
There are some nice nodes for wearing a shield, like one that adds a bunch of flat spell damage, but nothing making you use them
If i get this from nemesis empowering, i wouldn't feel that bad
but its from slamming
the one and only one 2LP i got after days of farming

oop now we have 4 lp worth of grole
need purple grole

🟣

Definitely could have picked a better exalted item for that
got a max roll T7 block chance and T5 block eff. Creation'ed it and none got in 🥲
Owie
Same here, feel you
Missed like 10 2lp so far ^^
Wrong channel 😆. This should belong in #🐺┃primalist but if Vlad is here, he can answer you
Omg thx, that was the original Plan before i failed xD
is fire pen good if i already have a ton of fire damage
i feel like i need more healing effectivness to heal through everything tho
Yeah, it's multiplicative with your damage increases
sentinel build with no reversal or anomaly you say 👀
It's always an option, even if not the best
imagine having hh on skillbar
movement skill
🥲
Feelsbad especially its a boss-specific drop
Imma go back to Sekiro for a break

😭
this forge guard is some good stuff gotta say 👀 see how well it scales
dual wield rive with reen
didnt reen get nerfed
The proc rate got changed so you only procc on Direct Use

Still reaching 30 stacks on bosses
And has 40 cd in implicit
All in on rive 1-2 dropped third hit
Reen also has melee fire damage for forge strike 😘
At full build ill be pushing almost 700 crit multi
does the armor clad passive work (-10% dmg taken on nearby) since it doesnt show in the defense tab?
Yes it works, the defense tab just doesn't have a stat display for that stat
it doesnt? what is the difference with the bottom left stat in the defense tab?
Less damage taken against nearby enemies depends on the specific enemy that's dealing the damage, character sheet doesn't include any stats that depend on enemy status like that
never double prefix
I feel like I’ve started breaking the game with a build not many people have done yet. Unless people have since made builds about it and I am unaware
whats your build?
Cant do iai slash
wuts iai
this ward build could get fun 🙂
LE is very good in making you feel like the king in certain stages of the game. Crossing fingers you keep enjoying it 🤞
4th 2LP Flayer's Pride... let's go 🥲
GL mate, I gave it up ^^
I had many lucky slams this season, but flayers (just for testing purpose) broke me ^^ I had 2 full stash tabs of 0LP and a third half stash tab with 2LPs (a friend helped with farming, so half the work it sounds).
I bricked them all 🙂
spamming bosses to clear prophecies actually
like... bruh... i brought so many, then one prophecy drop 3 T7 block chance
then my remaining 8 prophecies...
I dont have any 2 LP Flayer's atm, gotta run nemesis for the 0 LPs I have 🥲
my failed 3rd LP2 just now
Volin more
for not losing it after bricking that many
Not a total failure, you got T7 block chance
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/QqE426YQ is this enough DoT damage? never done dots

can reach like 80 stacks of bleed
isnt 80 kinda low ?
at 2 bleeds per second without any modifier it seems to me
double red ring
currently i can reach like 100 ignite stacks and 50 bleed with my dual rive setup using similar weapons so was just gonna see if i could make a low life DoT build but idk what enables dots to do more damage than what i have
dont forget that bleed isnt elemental
Not very sure myself but i think there should be at least 200+ stacks
it's physical yeah
so you dont get any elemental stacking on it
unless u use taste of blood like me 🥲
currently my setup can reach pretty crazy stacks of anything i dedicate to, armor shred im pushing almost 300 if i want ect so the stack number shouldn't be an issue once i respec into specifically bleed
the dual wield just gets so much atkspd it's wild for stacking ailments
if y're playing dot. why are you stacking armor shred ?
Why LL?
Why Huming Bird?
affects physical damage taken?
attack speed for dual wield
armor shred does nothing for dots
also about ignite stacks. on trap facloner i could reach 1.5k ignite stacks with bad gear. im not sure 100 is good result
also look here. if you decide to use hit damage types instead of dot. https://lastepoch.tunklab.com/armor
or look in the game guide for armor
you need physical pen for a phys dot
130 armor shred stacks are 80 % more damage taken while 300 just 83.7
i don't use 300 stacks i just put points elsewhere instead but it's possible
i can reach relatively the same amount of bleed stacks
does anyone have an extra world splitter they can give me? 😄
Is Humming Bee not for Elemental Melee Attack?
just the last line
i just care about the first 2
there's not really a lot of good swords for the offhand
I feel like you would have 10 times the dmg with a Bardiche
lose so many stacks
Of?
Dots
With a Barciche??
it's a 2h?
You would have way more stacks than with you current setup
Yes
i do have this
thanks Nacho!
kinda need the cleaver for the ward retension tho
Hence the first question
Why LL?
cuz it looks fun
It feels so inadequate on Sentinel
with slams could be pushing 8-9k ward dunno
and then you also get to leech health and have double pool if u have enough retension
nacho, how do I add you?
how do I add friends lol
h
Also if you really want to use a 1h weapon instead of a bardiche, flayer's pride is probably one of your best offhand options on bleed
i mostly just wanna dual wield

Don't want do discourage you, but 80 is **very ** low from my experience
👍 ive literally never done a dot build in any game idk how this works 😆
I've only played one bleed build so far, so I have a very humble experience too. But I've seen 999+ quite often so can tell that 80 is not really much
Busting out some old characters... My HoJ aura paladin still feels awesome, but... what is considered the strongest overall paladin build these days?
Warpath-throw-smite!
Nah jk, no clue what people think about this. I don't think there is an really outstanding build in 1.1, or?
Vk could support that
don't forget ur end of cycle drop party
can't be moving all that to legacy and making me lagg now 😭
now this is a party
i wonder if we could get some sort of auto loot for all items that match a rule upon clicking on one item (option would be checked in the rule like emphasize/dependency)
that would really shorten the time spent looking through everything
thats why i recolor my different LP. default = 0 lp green = 1 lp blue =2lp
once ur later in the game u only ever pick up 2 things at a time anyways lol
I wish I could make 4lp drops have fireworks
and have my friends voice go "Engi you dumbass theres loot"
shouldnt you be picking either LP0 or LP2+ items ? and highlighting specific items instead ?
I hope future strike gets reworked for the next cycle
its such a cool idea that has barely any support
giving more sources of it + make its base damage equal to your weapons base damage would be a cool start
or at the very least make its passive on the tree not be 10 points for 100% future strike chance
I was not expecting 20+ new shrines
just feels insiginificant to something like class changes, are people really complaining about shrines?
personally i felt like they were fine
I love the Forge guard and I want a good build for it
I know the spin to win but I was wondering if there was anything else
I like forge strike but it cost so much mana
void well gaming
Pretty sure you can't reach Void Well as a FG
you cannot
I've been trying dw multistrike + forge strike. it's okay, but probably worse than rive + forge strike
I like void knight a lot. I've had a void cleave + erasing strike build for a bit now and it's a lot of fun
vc + es is a classic, bonus points that it feeds into perma es fairly well
I could roll es spam but I find the vc + es combo to be more satisfying to play
yeah
es spam is just so much damage
given the skill isn't really meant to have infinite spam with infinite mana
2 2LP Flayer's Pride from nemmy 🤔
Another one 😅
yet another one bricked :>
wow I have to do 950c to see the boss drop 2 shields
nvm its just a 1 time thing 😆
No you see that occasionally on way lower corr too
And my condolences for your latest bricks. Seems rng doesn't want us to get those 😦
If the reset won't come, I would build on my bleeder too again. Else I'm done with the char for now
Never happened to me.. Abomination doesn't like me 🥲
Have the advantage of playing in a team, so farming boss loot is quite easy with Cof10, Envys and my teammate ^^
I kinda wish there was a mechanic or something to make the boss take less stability to fight
I wish there wasnt a need to play catch up at all. Give me a like, corrupting beacon I can turn on or off instead.
not timeline corruption
like after killing the timeline boss x times, that timelines stablitly starts off at like 100 instead of 0 after fighting the boss
Have a second bar that when you max it out, you can always just fight the boss.
It's called Glyph of Envy
I have like 200 of them, but if ur not killing harbingers ur gonna burn them fast
I could literally spam like 100 boss kills if i wanted rn
Also higher corruption is more stability i dont really see a need to make it more complicated, at 700c im getting like 80 stability per echo and sometimes up to 150
Mike was receptive to the idea of just being able to pick any corruption u want rather than being forced to climb as well tho, would much rather just see something like that and promote people to push content, which also incentivizes ehg to balance beyond where they currently are
Anyone has à good loot filter for rive + forgestrike including leveling ?
Can share mine when i get home in a bit
And, btw, i dont understand where the ignite stacks come from since many guides are going fire with the build while i only see bleed synergies 🙂
T'y ! ❤️
Mostly just look for phys damage and flat phys tho
I play on steamdeck so building à filter is à pain ^^
Probably Forge Strike Detonating Ground, there is a FG passives for Bleed/Ignite Chance and maybe Maehlin Hubris
I see my mess up
I burned them all while farming Lagon and didn’t want to fight the harby every time
I hate that harby fight
Can anyone tell me how my sentinel is right now? I don't even honestly know what builds are and so I just click on things. https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/BMGpKxNA

Yeah it sucks when u dont want the loot but they drop 2 envy every time
So if u just drop corruption to appropriate level u get wayyy more kills
Also at 5-700c i dont think ive ever done an echo and not got an envy if not 3
Probably just walked past 300 of them cuz they so common i dont even backtrack for them
Inb4 I messed up my loot filter
your character is alright for campaign but at some point you might want to decide where you want to go with your build
you got some investment in ignites for example so if you enjoy that route invest more heavily in that direction and get rid of some phy nodes since they would be obsolete then
it doesnt pay off to go fo rmultiple dmg types unless you are aiming for smth very specific but for startes i'd say pick one thing that has some synergy with the skills you want to use and go from there, also makes it easier to decide which items work for you and which dont as much
@opaque grotto
Right now, even with some of my resists max cap i still get chunked on and idk what is wrong
-shuffle around some points, you dont need that much in the base sentinel tree
- take 1 point in "Honour" (paladin tree right at the start)
- shuffle around resistances on your gear, replace physical res with any other lacking res
- get "battle hardened" in forge guard tree, also 3 points in "steel aegis"
- if you are going for an ignite build melee leech wont do to much for you, you want some generic life leech like "bleeding heart" unique if you can get your hands on that
- good offense is a good defense, try to synergize your skills more , for example you went for fire damage/ignite in paladin tree, have you considered using the skill tree part of warpath designed for fire/ignite ? (bottom left of warpath)
- on the note of warpath, you put most points in passives designed for 2h weapons but your gear/passive tree shouts shield/block, so you dont benefit much fromt hose points
just a few pointers, you can adjust, change whatever feels best for you
general idea that would improve your char by alot is basically just deciding on one type of damage/playstyle and invest in that everywhere you can so your skills work with each other
also longterm advice on defenses :
you need multiple layers
so if you go for a hp based build you want
- capped resistances
- if you use a shield, block/block effectiveness
- capped endurance (60%)
- either crit strike avoid or taken crit damage reduced
- and stack as much hp as you can fit inbetween
- some sort of sustain, probably leech is a good idea
Appreciate it.. So i am gong to respec and look at the points and carefully read them
how high can you get that b4 the imperial event cycle reset thing
5k / 500
1500 in a week ? seems a bit short
so this just happened....any rec's on slams?
Of he has Envys or gaze stored, doable
how can i display this blue text?:O
Its good on any build that wants Fire Pen and/or Attunement not jst Judgement Builds
That should be hold alt
its not 1500 corruption but 1500 echoes kek
except that one is always on, so at some point you will disable this kek
Not sure what you are trying to say
that shows the mod ranges by default when hovering over an item, so Asura is saying it will get annoying eventually and you will turn it off
I've had that option on since day one, idk when it gets annoying
I almost cried in joy when I found this option
OOF
84%Crit Avoidance is not enough ^^
I LOVE NUMBERS EVERRRRRRYYYWHEREEE
if it an't 100% do you really have crit avoid
^^
reduced bonus dmg from crits being at 80% is one thing
That is why I started to like reduced bonus dmg more then crit avoidance usually
also leonine helmet
I know I was posting in #🔱┃sentinel but I am playing a #🐺┃primalist rn
So no Leonine Helm for me
But I would love it
nah primalist gets a ton of juicey armor bases
don't yoink the sentinels biggest buff
Yeah I might consider some Citadel Boots when I get to that lvl
Problem is I get Frenzy and Haste for my Bear from my Boots
Oof the 2LP flayer seems like a lost cause
favors down the drain. 0 gear progression
keep at it
dropped a 3LP thorn slinger but got 0 exalted hybrid health belt
doubt Eternity Cache will make me hepi again
Engiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Wickeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed
Feels like taking a break till 19 Sep, at least there is increased favor gain and can contribute to killing skelies
Engi whachu playing now
dark and darker
I'm interested in the cycle reset thing
but it also killed any interest I had of playing before then
like I feel bad for the guy who got a 4lp judgement gloves given they go to standard in a week
probably play a bit here and there
idk if I have time between work and school to actually play the reset
Nuuuu... we wont see Engi the Void
If I was the void I don't think I'd be a traveler
Void Engineer
You are the Dark Wanderer of LE
the Void Traveler
though you probably corrupted someone who is not Aidan
Wrong thing younger me yoinked the work Engi from

don't know why I thought of this but a random merchant who shows up and lets you pick from a collection of items for some kinda a cost would be cool
like an echo reward where they sells random uniques/exalted gear for some kind of interesting cost (not gold)
You get a few months at least, if even the reset comes.
Also feel a lack of motivation currently, since reset was announced. I don't mind a reset, but really hope now they stick to it.
Cause originally I planned for 3-4 months, so multiple mains. After reset announcement I adjusted to two (and even down to one after burning 1,5 Million Favor for no upgrade on my Bleeder).
If its now another 4-6 months w/o reset I need to take a deep breath and remake my plans again
yeah
I really hope the event is fun
I mean, it is something new that will be there for limited time. So for me the event is clearly better then no-event.
Only find it super weird that the event goes over into 1.1ver2, instead of having it own rankings and a reset after the event.
fair
actually
I really hope this event consolidates the imperial watchers and imperial eyes
the two enemies that are the floating skull with 3 tails
I hate those guys for CoF quests
A quest I gladly decline, since it tortured me once ^^
🫂
for me any dev time spent on anything but game balance and permanent content is wasted
clearly i don't know how much time actually went into this event, but from my perspective it just looks like they spent a bunch of time on something temporary instead of fixing the hundred other issues
I mean if people like the event I could see it going core in some way
The temporary part of the event
- increase Skeleton spawn rate (I assume this is rather quick since you are just changing a number)
- increase various drop rate : uniques/favor/reputation (I assume this is rather quick too)
- count how many skeletons have been killed (no idea how much time this can take)
Am I missing smth?
There are a lot of stuff going core from this event too
- loot lizards
- new shrines
- dungeons QoL
- stash tabs QoL
wait is that the only thing with the temp event
did I just imagine some kind of swarm grinder thing
I imagine there's also some backend "event system" they had to build for these temporary things, which may have been a decent amount of work, but would be a permanent addition to the game. All those other temporary things are probably really quick to implement after that, depending on whether there's a display of active event modifiers that needs to be localized (which could take some time, even though it's not dev time exactly).
depending on how basic the active event sign is, that could be like 5 minutes of work for each language
but if the text is in the art then def longer
Only thing Vlad didn't explicitly mention is the gold drop boost, I think
dang
Depends on how they have their pipeline setup, iirc EHG has a contractor that does their localizations, which could add administrative times, like say they ask for translations and they get them with 1-2 business days turn around or something idk
I was hoping for some kind of arena mode where comically large waves of skeletons constantly come at you, like that one mono story mission about fighting the undead in Majesa
fair
lol, maybe that's how arena echoes will feel, would be fun
I do that mission a lot even in empowered just cause its fun obliterating the giant horde of skeletons and zombies
Yeah, only thing that is better, is a Warcamp or Ritual Lake full of spiders
I can see my pc dying if its the shatter/explode on death spiders
hello im planning to start a sentinel with spin to win build is the voidknight best class for that?
and what kind of weapon is best for that skill?
are you using warpath to trigger smite?
i am just thinking to start a new character
and dont know what is the best class for warpath
void knight can echo it for a consistent double damage multiplier,
paladin gets a lot of spell support so you can use warpath to auto cast smite for you, VK can also do a smite build with it but I think pally is better given its access to spell damage,
idk if forge guard has a good warpath build haven't touched forge guard much this cycle
I've only done one warpath build this cycle so I can't say I know much for it rn
dropped peak of the mountain for double phantom grips and leonine helm, much more comfy at 900c~
leonin helm is BIS
also where void dog pet
in the shop 🙂
😭
What's better? Multistrike or Rive for leveling?
As your main skill id say rive, especially if your leveling with a two hander
Rive is almost always the correct answer
Yeah, unless some Forged Weapons or Smite Shenanigans, Rive is always better
fun fact, you can get forged weapons out of it and there is a sword that just enables smite shenanigans while still using rive
Forged Weapons with Rive is imo not a good/reliable way to spawn them
And same with Smite
You are getting a Single Cast on a % Chance on hit
I mean technically you can, but doesnt look too good to me
Even on my forge guard I did rive with scrap metal and just made my forged weapons with a different skill
Good was never the question there, and i can promise it's good enough to do everything but pinnacle. You see Vlad, when you embrace the memes, their power flows into you.
Scrap metal is also a really strong node
scrap metal + foe reaver + weapon specialist
its hard to mess up a build with those 3
even with the multi strike hammer with t7 flat ect multistrike still wasn't better than rive, the skill tree really needs a buff
hey everyone, I looked online but can't find an answer anywhere... melee weapons have adaptive base flat dmg, but if a skill has two damage element tags (physical and fire), how does the 50 base dmg of my sword apply? Half half split, or does it just add to the original dmg tag because the fire was added due to node? To be clear, the skill node ADDS the fire tag, and does not remove the physical tag.
50/50 split
so 50 dmg, 25 is fire, 25 is phys
idk what happens if you have an odd number of adaptive damage
Damage isn't integers, if you have +5, then you get +2.5 and +2.5 (assuming the skill is really a 50/50 split)
ty vm!
Which skill are you asking about, by the way? I think smelter's wrath is the only half fire, half phys skill on sentinel
I was going off of a forum post
was that broken smelters wrath thing that was one shotting stuff fixed?
Yeah, just be aware the answer there isn't entirely correct. Simply adding a tag or other base damage doesn't split any adaptive damage.
Yes
darn
do you guys know if they changed Forge Guard from how it was on 1.0?
I remember them saying they wanted to rework it because it was kind of wack but I don't remember how long ago that was or if they did anything to that mastery
oh that's cool, i think i will try it
i have only played void knight because i love warpath but hadn't really been interested in paladin and heard Forge Guard wasn't great
i love the like concept and theme of that mastery
erasing strike is pretty fun. very satisfying and still good at 1k, probably falls off around there though (didnt try any higher). boss dps is pretty good, able to kill t4 julra before first explosion thing
What is your 5th Skill ?
AE proc
Do you have some additional damage to wards? For me its very hard to broke it
nah, nothing special
You just have many damage right?
oh, thank you, didnt know about this oppurtunity
I don't think there is special dmg to ward
yeah. that would be an interesting stat if they did incorporate that though. well not now when stuff can rip through boss ward like butter, but in the future
oh yeah, i dont normally use oceareon, that's just a boss swap. this is my normal ring
pretty cool ring, hits all the missing gaps
Why do you prefer rare helmet over seed? Crit reduction?
yeah, i never got around to slamming a seed actually, should try it
i have plenty, no 2lps though
on one of iva's videos he was saying it sucks, but wander said it was really good
Got lp2 from nemesis but don't have good slam for it yet, probably want mana + mana% on it
yeah ive only 2 2lps in over 150 kills so its pretty rare
but the good thing about the 1lps is that you have so many that you can get perfect stat 1lp, vs probably a mediocre stat 2lp
True, i stress to much slaming lp2-3 items 😦
yeah it's just a hail mary, 1/6 of hitting the 2lp. almost give up before trying
Interesting choice of glives btw, i hate playing without evade
Prob because i started two weeks ago
yeah actually i only used that for fastest beacon farming and just got used to it
One of the harbingers drops ring with void pen and swiftness, pretty easy to get lp2 for cof, i like it
i think there's better options. there's a melee attack speed unique
yeah midnight is good choice actually
falcon fists + midnight would be great combo, if i could be bothered trying to get get good ones of those
1k abom in 5 seconds. i dunno why but abom is so squishy. harby takes 3 times as long
gg!
I'm pretty sure Abom is the by far weakest Mono boss if you compare them on the same corr.
Not only it takes great dmg, it also does the weakest attacks
Formosus casts chill ground whole fight and teleports here and there
But yeah abom has like half of the hp
Maybe something to do with base lvl idk
Formosus is really easy too, but still he does way more dmg and is more tanky then Abom
hi, is forge guard minion build viable atm?
Yes
Def yes
Phantom grip rings ❤️
cool i got one earlier
only kinda annoying thing with forge guard is figuring out what affixes on items actually get inherited by your minions
in general its only simple affixes that get transfered
a mega nice qol would be a way to see that in game
would be even better if everything worked (we can dream, right?)
Hello, fellow sentinels. Heard somewhere that isn't worth to use healing hands with warpath, is it true? If yes, why?
They are probably talking about using HH as a proc, and that's because you can only proc it once per channel
It's actually easy. If not ally or explicity saying minions it doesn't work. For forged weapon(only your weapon) and manifest armor(anything that you "copy" with it's passives). And there's Phantom Grip, that will boost your FW with yout gloves.
Then it's not worth, thanks!
They mean which stats work for the copy effect, since not all do. It is easy enough to guess for the most part, though.
another one 😭
Wow would love to have that axe for my minion master
what are the different Forge Guard builds that are somewhat common?
I've seen Shield Bash and minions, but neither of those seem super interesting to me
Forge guard gets some nice dot options
I think the spear node for forge strike helps with that? Draven did a lot of dot earlier this cycle
And there’s always rive
Ignite/Bleed Shield Rush (if you play offline or use a macro) is really sweet
what about Smite vs Bleed Hammerdin for Paladin?
i wasn't super interested in Paladin but then remembered Hammerdin was a thing in this game and I wanna try it out
since it seems like it is essentially bigger aoe Blade Vortex from Path of Exile which is one of my favorite skills
i love revving up the lawnmower
Smite looks a little cooler but it seems Bleed is probably better?
do you think veangeance dual wield paladin can work? not going for healing effectivness
I played both in 1.1 and both have their qualities.
Bleeder is better in bossing and Smiter plays nicer for clearing.
how much of a difference is there between the bossing? i kind of just want to kill aberroth and be done
My bleeder needs less then one min, the Smiter rather 3-5
For all farming I liked the smiter way more tho.
Farming with the bleeder was a bit annoying at times.
Both great chars and more difference in playstyle then you would probably guess
what are the differences? I only really watched footage of Bleed and it mostly looked like you just spammed hammer throw and maybe used a buff or two during a boss or a movement skill to get around
Bleed needs a few seconds to kill trash, means you want to move a tad slower. Maxroll has Shieldrush on this char - what I personally never liked for 2 reasons on my bleeder. First there is no benefit to stack any mana, Shieldcharge drains you strong. Also despite that both mechanics work very well (hammer cyclon around you hits tons of enemies if you shield-charge) together, you will need to backtrack a lot more.
So bleeder moves a bit slower here for me.
Also I would recommend Orians Sun Seal on Bleeding Pala perhaps. As you have just basic mana, Sun Seal distributes Sigils nice evenly and makes sure you have a nice buff uptime.
So my Bleed hammer is almost a 1button (+buffs) smasher for above reasons.
Smite-Hammer is the opposite in Manamangement. You want to have as much mana as possible, and spend this all the time, while keeping enough to buff and use Shieldrush (which again has great synergy with Shieldrush, but in a way you can utilize it much better as Smiter). This char plays much more active, you watch you mana all the time, spend your stuff and move around very quickly
On a bleed Paladin, is a majority of the damage supposed to be from the smite? Or from the hammers themselves?
Bleed Hammerdin*
Neither nor. Bleed does the major dmg.
Smite just procs buffs there
I'm actually having a lot of fun leveling with Hammerdin and the first couple of notable passives for hammer throw
it feels a lot like Blade Vortex in Path of Exile which I love leveling with
What weapon types are you meant to use for Smite Hammerdin? Maxroll is telling me wand + cata, but don't you need a shield to use Shield Rush? Or is there a way to use it without a Shield if you spec it a certain way?
Maxroll says Wand and Shield, or?
oh no you are right my brain was just tripping
I use a Shield, and I think Shield is the way to go. It is already my most squishy Pala and I think for higher corr you want to be max-block or at least near that
ah
Does your mana matter much before you get Devotion?
or is that when you need to start stacking mana on your gear?
Nah Devotion is the reason for stacking, so that is why you want to stack some Mana later. Devotion has crazy impact on the dps
Btw if you want ideas on what you could do differently here than Maxroll: I like the Stormcarved Tablet for this char and I never farmed Razorfall for it - I didn't think it was worth the effort, especially since I needed the Citadel base more
That is the totem relic isn't it? Do your hammers count as totems with a passive node or something?
"for **you ** and your totems" 😄
So it has Mana, a little flat and a little more penetration. That was enough to convince me, as you can get easily 2LP with CoF these days. (edit: shock seems useful too)
oooooh lol
The Maxroll guide uses a random purple doesn't it? Is it still easy to cover your resists and stuff like applying frailty using a legendary in that slot? I haven't really looked into the specifics of the gear yet, and probably think it doesn't matter until I'm in monoliths at the earliest?
If you have Shock on the Relic, that opens up that slot on the weapon. As (almost) always, you can switch some things around a little if you like. I mean in the end it also come a bit to what you get dropped 🙂
Hello, is purifying lightning worth investing in for holy trail? Specifically the electrify debuff?
No, you don't really do electrify on a holy trail build
Ah, figured from the description. Thank you for the help. Also, what's the best way to cut down on holy trails recovery time?
Just regular old cooldown recovery speed - it's craftable on belt and boots, and also on specific item base types like opal rings (there's a helm for sentinel, too, but probably not worth it on that slot)
@alpine canopy Got it. Guess it's finally time to learn how to craft. Thanks for your help Toast-Man.
I wish there was a higher level helmet base for cooldown reduction
as op as leonine helm?
shhh
It's already one of the top level tier helms, it's just that leonine is massively OP compared to all the others atm
I thought it was like 300 armor
If all the top tier helms had armor more on par with leonine, it would at least be a little tougher choice... it could even get dropped to like 50% crit reduction and it'll still be a tough choice
Yeah, around that, but that's in the ballpark of all the others except leonine which has like double armor for no reason lol
Fair enough
I consider terror crown to be on par with leonine helmet, given vitality and a damage increase, but even for a vk Leo hat is just so much (even considering terror crown gives more dmg to a vk)
A version of the cooldown hat that has around the armor of a terror crown and a lil more cdr is what I was thinking
Allowing a cross between infinite bonk erasing strike and void cleave + erasing strike vk
Part of me wants to do VK at reset, but I feel like every time I feel VK I'm disappointed =/

embrace the void
I'd love to... If i could find a build that didn't feel... Meh
World splitter erasing strike doesen't feel meh to me, but i don't have much to compare
Oh but it probably will feel meh before you get gear
How does that one do on Aberroth? Eh, there are some okayish transitional builds I can suffer through, I'm sure.
With good gear you can kill him in a minute or so
How squishy is it?
DoT's are annoying, but if you go for things like seed + inevitable + hearth you become quite tough, i have 60% endurance and 53% dr from armor
I mean, that's pretty typical for sentinel I guess... and sadly
Yeah, nothing groundbreaking but good enough for me, not really interested in pushing 1k+ corruption
If you want that i don't think melee is a choice anyway tbh
I'm usually happy if I can farm 400 corr or so quickly... judge aura paladin, torment lock, dive bomb falconer, all feel pretty good to me right now.
400 corruption is def won't be any problem, you have darkstride boots as an option, with them you will be above running at ~150% ms, 3 charges of movement skill and very good aoe
They don't give aoe, that's just in general for this build
Yeah, I saw a vid on it, with the gigantic void cleaves and the 80% of screen erasing strikes
the only way
Who drops it again? May try to farm it in legacy and see how I like it
My only problem with Rive is echo farming ;P
drop anomaly run erasing strike
basically same boss dps
erasing strike is the best aoe clear for sentinel tho
problem i ended up having to push corruption was having space for hp and mana
That does sound rough... Also makes it impossible to get 180 stats for red ring ;P
You porbably will need crit on ring anyway ahaha
I dont know many that run red ring on sent
Lots of flames of midnight phantom grip and siphons
Maybe I'll just season start as falconer then try and build out a VK without the transition build.
Or maybe druid... I seem to recall locust swarm druid being really great for speed farming with minimal gear requirements... Doesn't scale the best maybe, but does good enough.
Heya, u know a guide i can follow? All i find is ready mads builds but idk how to work towards it
World splitter only drops from a harby or mr pinnacle boss, so it is kinda an endgame build.
I’d recommend playing a different build as you get the stuff for infinite es bonk. I don’t have a guide for but you need 100% crit chance and enough mana where you can swing 3 times with 30% of your mana pool.
I mean you can start bonking with a Shadow Beacon, Apathy Maw or even a good Exalted
Sure sure
The classic void cleave -> erasing strike imo is the best starter build
for infinite bonk or a leveling build
Just got t7 melee void and t7 %void dmg axe, 2lp world splitter isnt that rare right, right
And 0.3% one

Btw how much mana for 3 swings with 30% manapool? Im still leveling my vk
depends on how much you need to increase Erasing Strike's mana cost to cap your crit
all assuming one guaranteed echo
at 30 mana cost its 30 (cost) + 60 (consumed) * 3 = 270 mana = 30% of 900 mana pool
at 45 mana cost its 45 + 60 * 3 = 315 mana = 30% of 1050 mana pool
at 60 mana cost its 1200 mana pool
at 75 mana cost its 1350 mana pool
Cheers
Leveling sire
do void cleave with gauranteed erasing strike crit and then erasing strike
or maxroll rive guide
Nah i wanna go pure erasing strike. Played rive already this cycls
es + vc is sorta the pure erasing strike build until you get a world splitter
like you could do just erasing strike for leveling but that sounds painful
Is it?
So would using some leveling build, getting gear for es vc then work towards worldsplitter be a better idea?
You can start VC ES straight away
The garanteed crit node is super strong early
Well "straight away"
As soon as you unlock both
🫡
what vlad said
I love void knight so i gotta try every build
I feel Apostate would be kinda nice, no ?
No Anomaly, no VR
My eyes, ahat do i look at
apostate is gonna pop off after the VR rework next cycle
I just know
I am a bit sad they change Apostate, I was great on my Locust Swarm Druid
But now it only gives Vit
mountain helmet + rive = good
Careful that removes Leech on Crit
mountain helmet + anything else = dead
Yeah rive is what tried
I thought u just dont leech crit hits
But you want to be Crit Cap
And with rive since theres that node where the first 2 hits cant crit , is where u get ur leech
We are, but thats what i know from my expefience with rive
Mountain helm plus apathy = funny
cause rive has a node that prevents crits on the first 2 swings
so you can still leech off of them
Problem with ER, you dont have the No Crit node, and you actually need crit for your mana sustain too
So you want to be crit cap and be able to leech
Isnt mana sustain from that well node ? Whrre it consumes 3 essences?
Oh right
U grt those from crits
ye
Why do u have both rive and ER
rebuke with the brace the elements nodes = lagon does 0 dmg to you
U guys play merchant or cof? If cof, it took me so long to get an apathy, there a consistant way to get it?
Y worried about lagon, just dodge his mechanics
funnie
its a big dont die rn button
Is VC + ES really a good season starter? If so, I'd totally run that at reset.
it works well with horrible gear
it wants vitality and void damage and doesn't need anything special to work
Great! Sounds perfect then 😄
only real word of warning, always makes sure your upgrading your 2handed axe in campaign and when you reach monos get ready to grind out an apathy's maw
apathys hold you off until you can get a world splitter?
Is ignite shield rush still a thing ?
yeah
apathy's maw comes with a T7 melee void dmg affix, its kinda nuts. Worldsplitter is just more nuts
I’m looking at how expensive a mana stacking ED build can get
it's really not that much
Anchor of oblivion, nihilis, WS, dark strike and new helm seed of Ekkidrasil, all with LP is a bit
and pre apathy or world splitter i'd pickup a dreamthorne
nihilis isn't needed neither is seed, anchor is a timeline loot
You don't need lp with t7 on every item
You kinda need t7 crit on rings tho
How come
I wasn’t saying like build enabling but you can really get this scaled up with some solid legendaries
you need like, 2 crit rolls in the whole build it's really trivial
So yeah, t7 crit on both rings and t4-5 on gloves (depending on the rools on your rings)
not even, you have 5+9+15 base crit alone, and then anomaly can give +150%, cleave can give 18% base
there's also a node to increase erasing stirke cost to get additional base
That's true but i don't like relying on timed buffs
i wouldn't put t7 crit literally anywhere in the build
there's no downtime with any of it
cleave is 100% uptime and same with anomaly
all self enabled in the trees
this is how i run my anomaly tree, ther'es like 1.5 seconds of extra time to cast it before buffs run out
on a 10 sec CD
- mana cost in erasing strike tree costs 4 points and with crit in anomaly you don't have enough for mark of root, another 100% multiplicative damage
I prefer caping my crit with rings and gloves but you do you, it's cool that there are different options
i'm running rive with this tree not strike
just grab 3 points and move it to that, the attack speed is more overall damage
the point is the cooldown is no downtime on buffs and any build can utilize it
meaning you can build an extra like 350-400 hp
That's true
@waxen nymph bleed / ignite shield rush is cool as offline starter ?
Starter yes
Lvling no
You pick either Bleed or Ignite
I would say Bleed might be better on Paladin, Ignite on FG
And you 'need a Bleeding Heart (should be quite common) before you ca' start playing it
The Apathy's Maw is easy. For WP, the trick is getting one with melee crit rate. But this build doesn't need that, right? Base is pretty solid?
Isn't Worldsplitter better though?
Or only once you get enough mana?
different builds
Aren't they both VC + ES?
if you wanna go erasing strike you want world splitter, apathy can be used for a rive erasing strike hybrid
I was talking about VC + ES, previously...
Rive or Warpath, yeah
Thx !
I was saying to grab an apathy then go grind for a worldsplitter while on a erasing strike + rive build, so you can do pure erasing strike
aha
i don't really think apathy is easier to get, you have to get to 200c first
you could kill the harbinger in black sun as your 100c
i'd rather just look for a dreamthorne and roll that until splitter, since apathy and splitter kinda on the same tier
atkspd + void flat dreamthorn is actually insane don't sleep
or there's that mace that gives + skills to melee
Assuming you can get them on a starter ;P
dreamthorn is a lvl 15 unique
it's quite literally one of the easiest things to get in the game
Doesn't mean you'll get one before it's irrelevant
it's relevant until you grab world splitter
literally something you can grab 10 seconds into the game used until you find ur last weapon, it doesn't get better
killed aberoth in 3.5 mins with a dreamthorne 😆
I have never... EVER seen that kind of weapon before I'm close to emp monos. CAN happen and reality are very different htings.
okay but you have to use something, and saying you can get a slammed apathy easier isn't happening
Oh you're right there for sure
I just think an exalt 2h is more likely, unless super luck with DT happens
I'm gonna MG because I've never done it before. Wanna give it a try on the 19th. If I hate it or the economy goes to hell, I'll just play legacy
shadow beacon is also an insane unique that's super easy to get 2lp on that can carry all the way until end game
i would much rather grab either of these than aim for an apathy
I've definitely seen more shadow bacons than dreamthorns this patch
for MG you can probably grab these in 2-3 lp for cheap asf
Oh I don't plan on aiming for Apathy. I'm just saying... I may get WS before I see either of the other two. It's very VERY within the realm of plausible, that's all I'm saying.
on every character i played i got a dreamthorn in campaign itself
That may be fair... Never tried MG so I dunno how the early stuff looks
it's such a low unique the pool isn't very big early
I've only done 3 characters this cycle, but I've only seen 2 dreamthorns (all CoF) and both were corr 400+
in cof you can get a 2lp with like 30k favor
running prophecies
here's a dummy video with dreamthorn i slammed this cycle for fun
i didn't get attack speed on the thorn just flat and void damage %, it's actually surprisingly strong
You don't have to sell me on it, I love DT. I'm JUST SAYING I MIGHT NOT GET ONE
If they're cheap on MG though, maybe it'll be a non issue
Doesn't. Mean. It'll. Drop. Goddammit dude
I've done 3 characters to the 90's and seen only 1-2 DTs.
side note @harsh nova apathy's maw is the min 50 corruption drop but I do get your point about dreamthorn, I just dont like dreamthorn cause since I like starting on a split rive + erasing build, so I want the void dmg per vitality with an axe
early on ur vit scaling is so little is the other half, even end game i only have 60 vit
sounds like you need more vit
but where 😆
t7 rive on chest so can only get boot and helm
just slam a t7 vit and a t7 rive onto the chest
tru tru tru
i see no problem
now granted having a T7 slam onto a good chestplate is probs past the point I'd be on this half and half shenanigans
with the cycle reset all the way in february or march gonna just have to play reset it looks like 😡
🫂

hmmm
the biggest, and the slowest, bonks
Hammer throw is still the fastest early game yeah?
i just run warpath or rive
kinda all the same tho, only tough fight is lagon for most people
and u don't even have to fight him 😆
I've done Lagon thousands of times before we had a dodge button, he's fine ;P
only time I get angry at lagon is when I muck up where I'm standing and he does the slow sweeping beam at the corner I'm hiding in but the beam sweeps all the way to the corner and I might die
i uh, found a palarus mid campaign last time

so that was fun
I lvoe VK smite, wish its builds were better 🙂
I want wizard vk buffs for the next big update
no your gonna like having the entire mastery be built around healing hands
🫣
hey wait electrify has more support than future strike
yep
it still needs more
can we talk about how the thing u can fling with rive is a spell scaling node also
on 2nd strike or whatever
actually can we even say future strike has support
wait, we have future strike?
we got a 10 point passive in the tree and like 2 nodes on anomaly, but that requires using anomaly and not time bubble
😆
exactly
yeah i dunno how you make time bubble, and then put anything else on the tree and think it's ever gonna compete
anomaly is a cool skill
meanwhile also putting all of the big buffs AROUND time bubble
why does vk, who is the biggest fan of leech, get something that stops you from leeching from things
⏸️
pausing
Why does the plate wearer feel the squishiest?
ehg, go home ur drunk
because ur using a 2h and not a shield
👆
I mean compared to the ward caster invincible gods. Even a shield doesn't feel as tanky as those mofos
the dmg enemies do scales way faster than your ability to kill them
Are we slaming t7 vitality over t7 %life for real or just for memes
