So like taking damage inflicts injuries, each injury reduces healing by x%?
Something like that, then bosses could have bigger injury amounts, to make taking the hits more dangerous overall

a logical thing would be that if player uses a skill on an inaccessible area, the game will redirect the travel target to the nearest accessible area

That would be an adjustment not a logical thing

Getting locked in place until you use another movement skill isn't a logical solution; NOTHING happening would be logical, since you can't do it.
Terrify even goes off sometimes and I still get stuck, which means it is doubly incorrect

iirc as early as Diablo 1 you could teleport into a wall and end up being teleported next to the wall, so if the standards in 2024 went down to "I can't do that", it's quite sad 🙂

While I'm faffing around on my erasing strike sentinel, what skill + things should I be looking for for other sentinel builds? Like I hear Smelters Wrath is back to being garbage, but is forge strike ever +'d? I played a FG on 1.0 and it felt horrid at the level I got it to (maybe 70ish?) and I ended up just swapping off of sent entirely lol

I more mean which ones are even useful to + up in the first place, because if Smelter's is so bad it doesn't warrant the slot, there's no point in getting shards for it
if someone decides to play Smelter's, it doesn't matter if you see the skill as bad or not, because the decision is already made, and you will want + skill to Smelter's. That's why it depends on what you want to play.
As for forge strike, there's different flavours (minions, dot, direct, proc, support), so it depends on what you played.

Given erasing strike was designed to not have 100% up time with no cooldown, yes it is hella fast
yes you could do the infinite bonk before world splitter but capping crit was significantly harder for it which ate up a lot of spots, also the whole mana stacking build that doesn’t have any direct scaling off of mana
the shield, the set bonus is just poison chance per uncapped fire res
The fact that any build can kill them that fast shows that player power is way too high

How many health shards (flat and %) do you have in your material storage
35 flat and 3 %
Ok go into your loot filter and recolor those two shards to be like pink or something, whenever an item with them drops shatter the item so you can build up a stash of both for crafting some better armor
Tho if one drops on a good base with a lot of health keep that for crafting
Vitality too, since it gives flat life and res as a prefix

I feel like i messed up choosing circle of fortune instead of merchants guild, if i try to switch id have to give up my gear
CoF takes off after you capitalize on prophecies
before then it's a handicap basically
CoF and MG are for two types of players is all, no real wrong choice
Merchants guild takes off once you get a billion gold item to sell (and someone buys it)
there's so many 2/4 stat pieces you can grab for 10k tho

Yeah weapon is the best to start with
They can’t kill you if their dead
But your DPS when you are dead is zero, such is the struggle
And regular monos shouldn’t obliterate you before you can get some better armor
gonna depend on what you naturally find which you focus
That too
should bring up whichever is weaker imo
but the gear moves pretty fast at that point it's not really an issue either way
All of their gear is weak, if I had to pick one it would be weapon to do first
Also pay attention to mono mods, or you might wind up wondering why suddenly everything is so freaking deadly or you deal no damage.
wish favor was less linear scaling with exp so when you did lower monos you got more to get you rolling, CoF really takes until like lvl 85-90 before i felt like i could take good advantage to actually target farm. a lot of the objectives for monoliths are pretty tough going up to 300 corruption, and dungeons on a lot of builds are also tough in tier 4

My recommendation would be full leech heal reaper form for it
You can do low life ward with it using hollow lich so no leech but then you need potions to stay in reaper mode
Reaper form makes me wish there was a void corrupted form for VK

Plague > %Poison, %DoT, %Poison/DoT Pen, %More Dmg from the skill that applied it
Spreading Flame > Same but change Poison by Fire/Elemental DoT

I’ve never done an aliment build so I’ve never looked at them in detail

A Phys Ailment scale with Phys and Dot, a Void Ailment with Void and DoT etc
Then you need to look for applicable Penetration/Shred
It took me a while to realize that %more dmg from the skill that applies the aliment makes the aliment do more dmg
And then the %More Dmg from the Skill
That one is not obvious, but its in the game guide.
And its probably one of the most important one too
I remember a few months ago I was watching a French streamer and he was cooking a Smite Bleed
He was not taking Sacrifice
And had very little Dmg

I told him about it
That was the wrong emote
His dmg just skyrocketted
250% more dmg does that to a build

Now how's that work in instances like the idol which lets minions apply plague?
Does that plague inherit the minion's stats or still function off of the character's
Minion stats (which could be very good or bad, since some minions have a lot of more multis, and some have a hidden more multi as well)
Hmh, so to complicate that, what about Skeleton Rogues that are under the effect of Lethal concentration 🤔 looking on LET I don't know what the actual stats are for those minions, since Skeleton Rogue's dont actually have a listed scaling or anything like that, just says that they scale with cast speed, minion, bow and area under tags

The lack of a skill% on skeletons is kind of a bummer, but lethal concentration's ability to roughly double poison% might make up for it somewhat
unless i'm mixing something up, less is the opposite of more so its multiplicative, this is why event horizon will kill your attack speed even if you have a ton of increased attack speed

once you reach critical mass 80% of ur damage is coming from echos, so it's comparable at worst
especially since the build's crit multi is a gabillion
mostly i didn't have the FP to do anything else with it so just went with it, could go various ways with that one to balance the build proper

If you want to use Word of Power, you will have to cast it

here's my gear atm, can play around with a few slots to get more hp, capping out at around 5800 hp and lowering rive to about 450k-475k
really all about the 2 lp apathys tho tbh
rest is just get hp or dmage in the slot till u feel comfy but the axe does most of the work

yes massive difference depending on if you want boss damage or aoe clear
ruthless gives +25% per point on full hp enemies

oh right that'd also matter--I use the damage on weakened anyway because (I dont have worldsplitter) I tend to lunge>cleave>erasing

and then i'll cleave relaly big distances or as a finisher
rather than the engage use it as a finisher
yoink means get it, my thing was just saying its right on the path to the crit cluster in the tree so you dont need to spent any points to reach it

i'm not sure there's a fitting build for singularity these days
I haven't found any cases where it's better than scaling crit, but sure you can run it. Maybe it's okay on vortex pennant bleed since scaling crit is a waste, but you have some phys damage that will scale your hits a bit.
maybe a build where your main attack skill can't crit
because of a perk for instance

"Always crit" really just means +100% flat crit, singularity outright disables crits
found another skill node, from the mages' Glacier
isnt the node right after that the regain mana on crit though?
static collpase has ward on crit + the movement version of glacier behind it'
anyway that's the only node i found for Mages

Lich's Reaper Form with Reap
It synergizes with those gloves, and that's about it really
you can stack Falconer's Aerial Assault/Prowess buffs if you dont crit
that's about all the uses i found for skill nodes, other than that it would be about items unless a patch comes up
it's pretty funny in a way because there's no real synergy with Aerial Assault because the main node gives 1 stack if you crit and that other node only gives a chance to get a stack on non-crit, so unless you play a Falconer without crit.... no real use for it

I am lvl 97 vk war path and looking at the stats... void pen with doom doesn't matter, maw gives me doom stacks (it caps at 4 so its instantly capped), the leech seems neglible and so it basically give ele res and move speed? What am I missing.
its not hard finding 2 or 3 lp versions of it mostly
leech would let a vk drop leech on tree

is multistrike really ever the best tool? I know it can proc smite or whatever, but isn't it otherwise worse than rive (for damage) or vengeance (for tank/ripsote or whatever the hell its called)
It has a pretty nice mana node, tho I think it’s the best for forged weapon generation?
It does have an echo node, but 2 extra swords for echos using it isn’t a lot
Rive just has two goated nodes next to each other and an easy to reach crit cluster

Yeah i really want to like multistrike, its just... frustrating. clear was usually okay but the single target even using HH to supplement it ends up feeling.... kind of wack in a way that is a bummer.

Unless specifically stated, a Skill (a proper one with a tree) procced by another one doesnt get any bonuses from the skill that proccs it

LETools lists three lightning blasts. Apparently one is base skill, one is the channeled version, and one is the focal blast version (long line damage version)
when I look up Smite, the passive node on LETools also links to the base skill version, but LETools could also be wrong
funnily enough, tunklab doesn't list any skill on that particular node, but it lists a skill on the next Wandering Bolts node, and the skill listed is Storm Bolt

game is in plenty playable state, just because people want something besides what the design is focused doesn't mean it isn't functioning. the play base is massive through their whole season even compared to last epoch launch they just keep players longer and have more of them

Im not saying it's not playable, Im saying that I would have rather seen a more complete product for release and moving forward in order to have a better release and footprint to move forward in regards to last epoch. And really the same for D4, I was in the beta for that and the main issue there was how far they went from their original ideas in the early beta.

I cut EHG a lot of slack because it's such a small team and what they have done is amazing tbh.

which to their credit, most builds can do 300c, but aberoth is far more difficult than 300c. your build needs to be ready for 5/600
don't think i've seen any builds that couldn't do 500c by the time they were actually skilled enough with the class and geared to do it faster
I mean not even pushing 1k or 2k is the problem, but that some see that as normal, or call a build/char bad, that can "only" do 300 and T4s
1/2k is the minority and can basically just be excluded from most data sets
Abberoth is a pinnacle boss, literally a challenge mode, its not meant for the 300c people. Not every build needs to do all content. And that is what I mean about content creators being part of the issue. People dont understand they have to stretch content out of a game.

You cannot use pinnacle content to measure the rest of the game towards, that is literally designed differently for a reason.

It still can use some tweaks here and there, but I'm very happy with this Pally in general. Just killed Aberoth with him, was a hard fight, but a good experience to beat him once with a "melee".

back to the staying on low life idea.. even if smite didn't heal you, it wouldn't work. You have tons of inc healing, so you will be healed by your judgement aura anyway

You can see the difference in Ward decay with the buff, and how it starts decaying way faster when the buff fades.

rive has to have the skill levels tho so finding +4 on champs is stupid hard
it took me 2mill favor just to find a random chest to slam let alone a rive on champs
rive isn't horrible without +levels to it, you can get weapon mastery, double echo chance node, foe reaver and most of the crit chance stuff
it's miserable you lose insane damage
