It's a good assumption to challenge, but I found that I felt very squishy in death seal. I have a couple reasons I'm running ward.

The ghostflame mana --> ward node is something I'm running anyways for the reduced mana cost

ward/second while channeling node in warlock
I'm encouraged to stack int for the dodge chance node, reaper form, ward per second while channeling in warlock

stacking int means necrotic resist from reaper form, so boneclamor helmet is also in the cards already

A lot of these ward gen layers are points that I'd be putting into regardless of whether or not I was death seal, so I'm playing with ward because its so much ward gen

I've been looking at using Cruelty, the relic that sacrifices your minions after 2s, but I noticed on the training dummy that if you sacrifice minions at the same time (like worms spawned from volatiles) that only 1 sacrifice damage number pops up. is this a bug in that sacrifice cant deal its damage if you sacrifice at the same time, or just a bug in the visual?

other options like AoD may be enough life regen. Marrow shards can spawn health orbs that give health

I recommend ignoring tooltips, especially the ones that pop up while looking at skill trees, they tend to use wrong info. Just go off the tags to know the base damage etc (but keep in mind they won't reflect skill nodes in your skill tree either, such as conversions)

I’m testing the HS version, so far it has a lot better bossing but misses a bit in clear.

If you want to swap, remove cycle, get an ashes, replace volatile with Hungering Souls, get the dot buff on direct cast, get fire convert, max the projectile speed node, and max the ignite node.

But you’ll have to cast an extra HS every 8 seconds (doesn’t matter if it hits or not) during bossing.

You put the set items in the great bridge woven echoes and then they drop as shards you can craft on rare or exalted items matching their base types, and you complete the set with crafts, ideally you want to seal the set affixes

If you spec into reaper form you can gain some stat bonuses. When cast you transform and the ability is replaced by a small dash that does some minor damage

If you “die” in reaper form you transform back, so you kind of have a double life which is very handy and pairs well with death seal deadlock node

1. Both the application and the self-inflict scale with all your poison stats, including pen. Thankfully the self-inflict only considers sheet stats, not any buffs like poison overload.
2. Even with overcap and the lower poison damage AND the missing health heal from the nodes, you will STILL take damage, plan around that.
3. Armour shred convert is meant to KILL you, mess around and find out.
4. 1/4 of your poison chance applies to the aura's inflict, and 1/4 of that applies to self-infliction.
5. Poison Bolt counts as a hit of 0 damage, so it applies your poison chance normally.
6. This piece of crap isn't considered a spell.

If you took the (stupidgood) generic poison chance node in lich, you can swap to stygian coal drain life and stack stupid amounts of poison on bosses.

Yeah that's what I'm doing, but i also find kind of difficult to decide which one to imprint, because they all have different pros and cons (even tho they are all great wands to begin with). Currently I got the triple exalt imprinted, but they are all "only" T6 exalts, ignite chance is not very good, and spell damage could also be another better affix..

It was recently nerfed by one specific setup that one shotted most bosses.
It's not bad per say.
But you can get the minions to do the exact same thing for you.

AoD Notes:

1. Both the application and the self-inflict scale with all your poison stats, including pen. Thankfully the self-inflict only considers sheet stats, not any buffs like poison overload.
2. Even with overcap and the lower poison damage AND the missing health heal from the nodes, you will STILL take damage, plan around that.
3. Armour shred convert is meant to KILL you, mess around and find out.
4. 1/4 of your poison chance applies to the aura's inflict, and 1/4 of that applies to self-infliction.
5. Poison Bolt counts as a hit of 0 damage, so it applies your poison chance normally.
6. This piece of crap isn't considered a spell.

Avoid what you read

some things don't scale super well past like 300-400 corruption (t16/17 maps in PoE) but most of the game almost any skill can be scaled to work

also people tend to hyperfocus on the most grossly overperforming skills and call everything else 'trash'

take the internet with a big grain of salt and enjoy the game instead

Before mastery pick? Yeah er, pretty much. Slap wandering, golem, rip blood/marrow shards, maybe even a spirit plague if you unlocked it. Can also use skeletons to get some free things since you got slots and all.

If it's mastery pick and after? Just go warlock and fissure things to death.

Beam count is dependant on your int, which determines firespeed of the beam, you can make it fire 2-3 constantly if you have the stats.
The aiming thing is a known "quirk" rn, tho it shouldn't affect your output since it just moves the targetting circle.
