If you cared enough, you could try adjusting your fan curves. The defaults can often be set to be very aggressive.

which is different than typical optimized gameplay which is get the reason job -> climb to highest rank -> work while buying out morlands and doing whatever vaults possible -> get fired -> beat the game before you run out of money while supplementing it with contracts

there's no real good ways to make money outside of maybe dancer dlc physical strength skill, the maxed out reason job and contracts

but contracts need you to have a lot of lore aspects so it's not attainable early

whereas the physician just gets a free job that never expires and always gives surplus money

in the first game it was optimal to literally just bunny hop all over the place and aim mid air

There's technically still builds that like jumping but you're much better off sliding or doing something else and you don't do it constantly anymore either

Forbidden west did also introduce some imo kinda dumb things though like most humans having masks/helmets that make them pretty much impossible to oneshot and on harder difficulties you can't oneshot with a stealth attack either so you literally just can't take them out in stealth lul

yes, crafted the single sample then copy that. My time is spent on single sample the most because I handmade the pattern of these 2 rings. Voxel edges can't keep the same after rotated so I have to think their details and explore how much angle these broken lines suppose to curve.

(hopefully there will be a “magic repair kit” or something in the future that is more to significantly more expensive but doesn’t cost max durability)

enemies have attack patterns and there’s different types of weapons with significant differences

they’ve consolidated tools into just an axe and a pickaxe, with three “advanced” tools that are more situational (a hammer to change the appearance of basic building blocks, a shovel to dig only dirt style blocks but dig multiple at once and a hoe to till farmland)

the pickaxe can break all dirt to stone blocks and the axe breaks wooden blocks

Also 0/10 module, mecha without the scenario "hostile forces are raiding your base, now you have to scramble and escape with your mecha" feels wrong

Lancer is a bit notorious for being hard to DM. It doesn't have a great jumping off point, and the metaplot of it is complex to say the least. Not like, WoD complex where there's a bunch of history and then smatterings of batshit insanity throughout, but like the main metaplot is basically a corpo-political intergalactic war with a ton of factions and extreme nuance between every single relevant party.

I like grinding, when it's realistically achievable and has tangible and enjoyable progress to it. It's the reason I don't vibe with a lot of MMOs; it's slog-city with minimal to no enjoyment for the majority of the game and then even the grind in late game is horrific levels of RNG to get anything you want as a reward.

It's a weird take but it's part of why I don't like Grim Dawn. It's slow as hell to get to a point where the game feels fun for me, and even when I do get there I'm stuck on just getting lucky while farming the same enemy on repeat to get gear progress.
