i really need a new controller
what kind of keybind is K
Nine-sols I heard great things about that but I'm not too keen so soulslikes
I've heard the combat (bosses) are really tough though
that's normal for metroidvanias
a game isn't made a souls-like because it's difficult
souls-like refers to a specific style of game
I'm more of an ori (blind forest) kind of guy
Anyway yea I plan on buying Dispatch at some point
it wouldn't be worth it for me until there's new episodes (a ways off) because i've seen every single scene already
Damn
Depends on the difficulty for me, I prefer it in slower more strategic games
I like StS like difficulty
Turn based but so not fast
I can't do honour mode for example in D:OS2
Scratch that I can only do story mode 😂
DOS2 I didn't like on high difficulties
BG3 I play exclusively on honour
Partially, because I can continue the game after wiping in BG3. Partially, because I know the system
I generally don't love ironman but I'll play tactician on dos2 and stuff
There's only a few games I play on perma death/ironman where it's optional
so probably 3 is on average assuming you did the same maps ?
funny belt acquired!
I guess you're the last member who still play poe 2 here so you will reach lv 100 in this league
Tbh I kinda still want to do hollow palm build
this belt should keep you being invincible for a long time
Nah lv 100 is pain
I'll only play a bit more
Hmm.. though I really should get the Arbiter kill first
Just missing the last one of the citadels
I'm surprised both of you can keep high damage in this period... It just quite hard to kill boss when boss difficulty is 8
The fact that they nerfed Hollow Palm is wild to me
wait, they did?
I mean, I have a pretty decent weapon, almost all 6-link gems, lv 19s mostly
They don't want their precious animations breaking
Ah yea I did notice that in the patch notes but I didn't really notice it that much
Because you know, haven't played one of those builds
Time to nerf it some more lol
Yes Ichigo I agree with you
Okay yeah
you get temples much faster no win higher tier maps
Just catching up on the Grim Dawn teasers, hot damn
Yeap
Long overdue, and very welcomed
Makes me want the dlc to release even quicker lol
Crate is leveling up
i don't like arbiter
ended up farming holy relic alt gem in poe just to find out its kinda useless in ssf until much later and you can get at least enough cdr to get it low enough to be worth it, noice
yeee, when I've read it I felt like fun police has arrived
I have flashbacks to 0.2, it's not that bad, but I still quit the league rather early
but this time without LE to save me, I guess it's D4 and Inquisitor Martyr .__.
they seem way more common now, I've found 10+
It's already a bit overwhelming even with the little I have unlocked. So many characters, skills and the passive tree keeps expanding. Then there's runes to unlock as well... the depth is impressive. Kinda regret leaving the game in my library for so long without playing it lol
You shouldnt, the discovery is the fun, enjoy it and cherish it
You can't unlearn the meta
And yeah, they go crazy with achievements lol
I can already tell the synergies are going to get insane once you start to pick and choose what skills from other characters are available in your skill pool.
There are several very interesting passives that completely change how the skillbar looks like, yeah
Talking about soulstone survivors?
Yeah, it's really good
Yeah, it was fun what I played it
Only played some because had family share to it from friend
50% off now at <$8, kind of a steal
All in all my absolute favorite arena roguelite, and its not even close
when was the last time you played it?
I remember Boneraiser Minions being one of my all-time favorites of the genre, I might have to go back and play that again as well to compare, Soulstone might be up there for me.
Boneraiser ain't as mechanically deep, but it has its own charm.
There are hundreds of skills in the game rn, and i honestly dont think ive seen them all
but a recent patch came out, so i have an excuse
Honestly can't remember
it doesn't show it in my steam games anymore because it was under the old steam library sharing
I did try Soulstone Survivors when I first bought it many years ago, but only briefly. At the time, I didn't think much of it. I assume over the years it's changed a lot.
SoulStone survivors of now to the version of, say, 18 months ago
is like Last Epoch 0.92 to 1.3
Damn lol
Makes sense
I bought it back when it was in early access
And maybe that's why I didn't play it that much
It's just a completely different game now
They went from 16 to 22 classes, from 16 to 80 or so weapons, and tripled the amount of skills
2 new game modes, tons of other stuff
Soulstone is way too addictive man
Right now the only complaint I have is the second game mode where after each round you have to pick new skills.
And the issue with it for me became that it just turned into an infinite red circle dodging simulator
So I'd play for hours and then feel unsatisfied
I have 187 hours, and im still a good 20 or so from fully unlocking everything, granted, some of it on older versions where there wasnt anything to unlock further
I always find myself experimenting with off meta stuff, just to enjoy new synergies
Yeah the possible synergies to explore is a huge draw for me atm. Each character/weapon unlocks a set of skills, but being able to take those skills and use them on other characters through runes just changes the game drastically.
yeah, runes are build enablers
oh, they added another 20 or so new weapons from my last visit
And voicelines to characters
hope nothing is annoying
Voicelines are good, but they get annoying after a while because it's just repeat of what you've already heard over and over. I mean, not a big issue and you can disable them. Good to have for your initial experience, though.
Also the performance of this game is surprisingly really good. I'm impressed by how it maintains frames.
similacrum delivering
when shit gets crazy, i just push all skill visuals to 0 and regain all performance
The ability to reduce visibility of effects is really good
Honestly I think ARPGs need that, at least PoE1 and 2 definitely do
LE needs that
Yeah I've been using that as needed, so far nothing has gotten too crazy that I need to go down to 0, just 0.6 so far.
Even Megabonk recently added it, yeah ARPGs need it
Playing Trails in the Sky 1st chapter made me go all nostalgic again
Freaking love the music
There's some crazy spammy screen sized stuff that sort of forces you to go that far if you play sweaty lol
Yeah I bet lol
SoulStone Survivors is also a great game at teaching players damage bucket management
I don't really know what the damage formula is, beyond the obvious things that are almost universal to any game, such as crit damage being multiplicative with normal damage bonuses.
Oops that was me after cheat engine a billion gold lol
maybe I should grab Soulstone Survivors
a little more
I'm legit terrified of running t3 simu
For the last point
It's the rippiest content in the game by a mile
Almost 3 k lol , ofitially almost a "grass hater title"
Can't hate grass if you don't know what it is
Trueeeee
Also very unrewarding in general
Can always go to u local hardware store and ask for astro turf sample to have on desc xdd
I mean, it's a jackpot simulator
Can touch grass and play video game
Same as all the pinnacles
Except maybe xesht, where you can make some money off of breach ring drops and stuff
I just wish delirium dropped more splinters in general
earlier I ran a map, killed half of the map
0 splinters

Yeah it's kinda dumb
Like wtf is up with that
And it really makes the rares in a juiced map noticeably more scary
Meanwhile for some reason I get a bunch of delirium tablets
but I've literally only dropped 2 or 3 ritual tablets
And then who knows how many breach & abyss ones
because ofc those just keep on dropping all the time everywhere
Yeah
I guess it was too rewarding :^)
Reading this I wonder if they went with character seeds in poe2
I keep reading ofi Chanel and this and everyone says different things lul
It really doesn't matter either way. All wealth acquisition in PoE2 is hardcore gamba
Apparently it's sanctrum
Most of my currency has come from selling crafts
It always has been it's the dopamine from the game
No such thing as balanced loot drop
No guarantee drops and the odds always come to a 50/50
That's the meme surge
Sanctum is very risky
But yeah, sure if you can do the 1 honor challenge?
temporalis is currently like
2k divines for corrupted
I do like this Assassin build lol
Currently wave 10/15 in simulacrum
That looks so colourful holy
Man it stresses me
I would rather uninstall
Same ,yet I play self inflicted ssf I genuinely don't sell anything in game just farm to buy something that is annoying to farm
It is very colorful yes lol
I would link clips, but all of it would be spoilers
I played through one floor 4 of sanctum
I think I'll never do it again
Would rather run 20 chaos in row
I like sanctum, but the loot is kind of trash
and farming Temporalis sounds incredibly unfun
I don't like sanctrum neither I would actually prefer if they put something like old síntesis game witch they did they just renamed it to Vaal temple
Holy it's so funny seeing same mechanic template just in another theme
okay I failed the simu at wave 13
Yeah I'm not gonna try that again
already hate that thing
Seriously awful content
Well and u don't get shotgunned when entering an area that's a fix
It's to try hard really even for normal players ,let's leave things like that to players like Ben lmao
yeah that's when it gets real shit
The fact that u have to make a specific build for it is already a handbrake on it
XD that's why my least favourite mob in game is river hags
It's my souleater in poe2
Like it's one of the worst designed things in poe
I hate that shit in poe1 also
and if I started explaining how I feel about them I'd get banned
It's more like
It's not balanced at all
extremely rippy, badly designed content
I honestly don't understand why they'd put delirium as one of the "core" mechanics in poe2
and then take away the thing that people liked about it
the rewards
Hatsune Miku
Another thing that goes up there is the frozen ground that just drops your action speed by 30%
At least they made the areas smaller
but holy shit Why
Like who thought that this is interactive, fun gameplay
who ever put the initial dd on mobs and the ball one in poe1 lmao, i swear its a same phsyco (i do mean it in a nice way )
before they got reworked and nerfed
Fire, Fire!
volotile dead took me all this time to remember yesus
same person that when they reworked first acts they decided lets make most monsters in the area to chill and slow u down during the run so the act feels longer
its rather the cold or the chaos efect every second freaking area that just for no reassons slows u speed
I don't mind volatile dead tbh
but all the on death effects do get me rather bored
It's even worse now because you can't instill maps, so you just pray for the jackpot high value emotions
Yeah
Tbh I was looking for the chance for maps to drop as delirious
And couldn't find it
obviously
yes, good news for me
A lot of people still sell in ex
but yes, a lot of people did change to chaos trading
Corrupted the Talisman because I've got enough windfall, we won.
Honestly
I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out they roll 1hander dmg rolls
That's bonkers

Also are the added as extra runes actually worth it
I tried them and felt that base phys was just better
Granted my talisman is nowhere near that level
Yes, they're on average 5=7% more damage
Huh, that does sound worth
HR violation in weapon form
holy mother
What
nice
which price checker is it
Exiled Exchange
@twilit mountain is it a pure purple build?
I'm doubt on skill gems this build mentions mainly
Oh... That's the core, ok
I just don't know why I wouldn't simply play the same skills on Invoker or like Ritualist and double up on damage scaling and defense scaling
today is a day
Could I borrow that, I'm poor rn >.>
damn I bought 2 of those 2 days ago for 2.5 div each
dat temple inflation is wild
Those things and the breach gems are way overprice imho
well, Garukhan for me would be an absolutely insane upgrade
Rakiata's is kinda whatever unless I wanna run a lot of urbiter (I don't)
Garukhan's interaction with Inevitable Critical is kinda wild
Uberter is better
TRUE
🤔 the issue is on ascendency itself? Good question
That is what I haven been saying since literally the game came out, Kirra
emmmmmm I can play purple vfx by that unique ring, it let me confuse which ascendency should I play
Just don't. The ring is not good.
🤔 then ritualist is the best choice because 3 ring slots are available
3 ring slots which could all be used on something BETTER THAN OSIN
🤔 .....No more options for a chaos damage build except lich?
https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/profile/jungroan/builds/zero-duration-titan-wip
Find another chaos damage build, it's titan, but the weapon...
lol I can't find this skill in game
perfect gem for lich I will say... if it's a spirit gem
It's part of the weapon
oh...Make sense why this weapon is so valuable
It's actually not the important part at all
The important part is the shrine effect
It gives massive damage as extra chaos and gives corpse explosion on kill, which can turn any skill into a screen clearer
OSin has far, far less support on the tree
it's just that it seems underwhelming as all hell compared to its PoE variant
Every single build using OSin is straight up better if they just scale elemental and slap in damage as extra chaos
kind of. It helps a lot if you're going poison
and if you don't wanna go plaguefinger
not going Plague is throwing like mad
I just hate those gloves, like I hate 90% of uniques in this game
because they punish you for using them with absolutely dogwater stats
alright. So just no more builds available to enjoy, literally
https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/profile/f44792ce-f16b-4663-a2f3-a0217a4c1e03/builds/5c22a560-82f4-44e5-9c00-1788deab53ab
It's chaos damage but still is a caster so no sense I play infernalist instead of lich
Infernalist has bullshit amounts of damage scaling
I don't really understand why you're so focused on Lich being chaos
Lich is legit better as an elemental caster lol
or as a summoner
managed to claw my way back to ~28d. Unfortunately that's not even halfway to Garukhan's
Extremely minor complaint but I've realized at least part of why thematically the campaign feels shit to me. Every single act transition is just talking to an NPC to trigger a loading screen. PoE1 the acts are almost all physically connected to each other, nearly every act in it ends with you physically traversing to the next.
huh, that's an accurate observation
never paid attention to it
enough I already hate in the campaign

oh btw, as per my quick napkin math, Garukhan's would give me about +335% crit on Shred in an average case scenario
best case would be +425%
wheeze
that's worth the money
Yeah I mean, that's really good. Still not something I'd spend 40div on though I cannot lie.
Oh great, even worse
unfortunately a fubgooner gem
For that price I can buy a Dreamer and have infinite clear on any build I ever play
clear hasn't been an issue for me for a while now
Lunar Blessing + Herald of Ice + armor explosions = multiple screen wipes
I get that, what I'm saying is I'd prefer spending high amounts of money on something universal which Garukhan is not

omfg it's Diablo god damn 2 again @warped wren
Huh, is it?
That's exactly how D2 handles act transitions
I've been playing a lot of Diablo lately (2, 3, 4) it jsut popped into my head "why does this feel so familiar"
Friend complained about expedition immunities yesterday that its' like diablo2 immunities adn he hates it
tbh he did stream it on discord and for some reason during that expedition he did the immunities didn't highlight as yellow on the markers so he managed to get lightning + phys immune
then next map they did highlight again
There's like 4-5 other mods, maybe more, that should be highlighted that aren't immunities imo
Hmm which ones are those?
Block is a big one, can't be evaded or blocked, monster block rate
Brain
Armor shred was in my head but I read the word block
Yeah, i could see that
forget a thing... Why their hats are what wizards are proud of the most?
I thought wands or crystal balls are suppose to be what they're proud of the most
A wizard just isn't complete without a hat
The bigger the better
It's why druid didn't really make me want to play. I played it in PD2 and D2 already and 85% of the class looks like a 1:1 copy. Inspiration is fine but I want original things in poe2 as well not just a rehash
It's literally just a loading screen tooltip from Diablo 3 that I found funny.
I should head out, enjoy the cold air a bit
but at the same I don't really feel like doing it
Finally made it to Atziri & managed to beat her
the rewards from the chests were... disappointing
Ah well
No atziri uniques
It dropped a drill neck isntead
yoink
For some reason they buffed Temple quant and crystal generation, Im not complaining.
I'm lowkey disappointed lol
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fEzsQ6Hv8Y
Thought SC was already out
Wrecked ship ⚓
Done this work before 2026... Proud of that.
@quaint forge I own my version of acrylic painting about a giant ship too! Yeahhhhhh
(I remember that top 1 acrylic painting in 2024's fan art competition all the time)
It inspired me from I want to paint a giant ship :)
The pity is I can't find a canvas with the same size so mine is smaller...
This artist is quite smart that paint all ropes with curves... Because stright lines are tricky to paint
(My version is quite... Chaotic lol)
I also think putting too many details on the ropes would draw too much attention to them, and they have to be in the background compared to the rest of the ship
so it's smart
yes I guess the focus is bird
Bird -> dock -> cloud -> ropes
My focus is rope so...
the chickens, not the birds in the background right ?
I feel like I'm going nuts. Neyrelle in D4 kind of grows on me ?
I feel like the character I hate the most is the MC
I hate all aside from Lilith
oi, Lorath is fine
He is hardly there but yea he is ok
I couldn't connect much to Neyrelle
I find her character a little too generic
I think Lorath was criminally underrepresented in the story so far
This horadrim member lived through at least 2 mass extintions with some of the craziest events happening in Sanctuary and our interactions with him are limited to maybe 10 minutes of screen time
connecting is a strong word for me, more like I don't dislike the idea of next horadrim having her backstory
and I think she is less annoying later on ?
Because the introduction was so bad 🥶
I don't mind that a character starts weak and gets stronger, its fine, that's development
but yeah, the events are a little weak
yeah, I think there is some attempt at character development in direction I like
But execution is, not exactly great
It lacks polish for the lack of better word
TBH, I really disliked how they've randomly axed Doran ? The other horadrim
I guess she gets a bit of a backbone later but I hate how she always feels whiny
oh yeah, she was insufferable
Like doesn't she make us the protag (if that's what we even are lol) decide to go against Lilith? The one being that (through trash methods too) is probably the most honest with us and seemingly wants to help us?
Then causes the release of Mephi
Idk I guess Lilith would have been equally bad down the line
I feel like it's the problem with protag writing. It's the character I start to dislike the most
Protag feels like a side character ngl
Like in D3 it felt like we were in control or something
Same with D2
Never played D1 so I wouldn't know
yes, that's my biggest gripe with the story in D4
Paladin feels like the best "default choice" story wise
Paladin is main character syndrome class
absolutely
What's better to fight demons with than a pure soldier of light
with heavenly powers
Crusader 👀
Crusaders and Paladins are same same to me
Yea I was joking
Both belong to the same church, its just that Crusaders have cooler backstories
So yeah, Crusaders are cooler
I'm gunna argue a demon hunter but that's not happening xD
I mean it's in their name :P
Don't matter
I remember that jank cinematic someone had to cobble for the DH
Also personally I think necromancer fits the best
Like using fire to fight fire but it actually works
Can't watch that video without signing lol
The story is the the DH movement basically was born in the west, with active recruitment
But I know the video you on about
The idea is that DHs didnt need to go through all the paperwork Rogues do
they just needed vengeance
Meanwhile my favourite char the Wizard barely gets a trailer lol
She did get one
Yea it was hardly a trailer lol
These early D3 trailers we so rough, you knew they had no time
The monk one was cool though
Yes, despite the bizarre animation
Although with the wizard one it makes sense cuz she is sassy as hell anyway lol
Azula but yea
I know but she is the same VA of Azula from ATLA
CR?
They took out the laugh ingame sigh
Also holy mana globes in that trailer lol
Ok wait no it was another trailer where she has her laugh
Dang wanted expand games library and didnt know that Mass Effect needs some F.. EA app without any way to deny it even trough mods
why companies needs so much bloatwares in our PC's..
and corrupt church of light with power of light
kind of hilarious when they call you a heretic, and you turn into god damn angel
Happy new year!
I wish I can get a new laptop in 2026, I want rtx 5070 version because it allow me to learn more in 3d environment art 🙏
finished VoH I think, overall campaign was better than I've expected
but it also flopped hard at the end
I think I like Mephisto the most in D4
Happy new year to you too. (Timezones weird thing)
Welp laptos of 2026 bro buy now current on stocks. And fastly due to nvidiia and hw shortages prices and qiaulities of hw performance will go to hell
New models will release barely with 16 gb and with nvidia trying push cloud subcriptions gaming you wont see good nvidia card in future max as ad for their cloud gaming
This is one of the commonly funny things about Diablo
This is like Jesus in South Park just hanging out with people
true
man, the ending in VoH is so nonsensical
the only sloppy excuse I can find is Mephisto being really well done, and he is corrupting everything he touches so yk. He is a character that can make you take stupid choices
But even that was so heavy handed
16GB? It mean a lot already
In terms of character - Mephisto is the coolest prime evil
he has the most personality out of the three
So i get the interest
I like how he tries to be subtle, to get in your head and corrupt you
I dont like the fact he got 2 expansions, but it would feel like one long expansion
ye, same
Diablo feels a bit like generic bad dude
his brothers and lesser evils have far more interesting motives
definitely
same
This is different than RAM which is what I believe Hersik is talking about
Knowing Tyrael's mission, she was a full partner
she should have been the new leading contact
Here's an easy guess - I think we are going to actively fight angels sometime in the future
There's a pretty limited selection of cards with 16GB VRAM, even more limited with higher than that (at least for consumer use-cases)
If you can fork 400 dollars, you will get at a 16GB equipped card
I don't like it, but its the current status
well yes but even memory models to Card will rise at least in Nvidia for sure..
If you need 16GB on a laptop GPU, get a time machine
Yeah, I mean, 5090s have I think 32GB in them and even MSRP on them is absolutely ridiculous, nevermind the massively inflated cost we're at now
This is why I won't be replacing my laptop with another laptop. I'll just get a desktop again. It'll be expensive but at least it won't 1) occasionally burn me and 2) be able to be modified in the long run
oh 100%
And worst case, if space is an issue, there are various MATX solutions to at least make it somewhat compact
and not a huge tower of steel and glass
As it sort of should
Some people might view it as a sign of good design
I view it as a sign of a bad one, one that needs patching
It's hust Frost Wall being Frost Wall really
pcgamer just reads reddit and posts the top threads as news, it's dogshit "journalism"
I'll give pcgamer for putting StS2 as the most wanted game for 2026 over even gta 6
Seeing the entire list on that channel there really are only two games I'm interested in lol
StS2 and GTA6
So, what are PoE2 players doing with all this divine inflation?
Honestly I haven't noticed it that much
Sold 2x atalui's bloodlettings at 7div both
99% of it is just reddit jabber and overhype
Most gear hasn't meaningfully changed in price, and it's also easier to make money from ritual / breach / abyss stuff
Alright
👀 600+d
Just like Affliction, there's more money to be made not doing Temples if you don't want too because people like me ain't doing that shit. I'll pay whatever price for non Temple drops because I'm not going to stop my farm so if it's 3-4 times the normal price, I'll stay pay. But Reddit is always mad so w.e.
Yeah, he found a headhunter early
and just then sold a chest armor for 300 divs
and stuff like that
I'm looking forward to how will the author react to that
Movie reference I think?
Yeah, I knew the line but not the source (not much of a movie watcher)
been getting lucky with fractured orb drops, 6 so far, about 1 per cleansed area
Happy new year !
Happy new year (from mine timezone)
Happy 2026 to everyone
get your weird ai art out of here
They still can't get the fingers quite right lol
Something else feels off about it too, I can't really figure out what it is... is it the shading? It's something that's kind of universal to most AI art at the moment.
The right arm (with the can) looks like a dwarf's arm, that's obvious. There's something else though.
is it real that Unity have released a "enterprise minimum commitment program" before Christmas?
This fee would probably add to the 5% price increases for Enterprise and Pro customers, effective January 12
oh no
🤔 It seems more cost for EHG since then
2 relevant posts on linkedin only...😅
I doubt a 5% increase in the per seat cost of Unity Pro/Enterprise is going to hurt EHG.
My focus is on enterprise minimum commitment program #❔┃ask-the-community message
But I guess these fees will be helped by Krafton
So a 5% increase in the minimum commitment amount due (based on EHG's revenue, which is not that high) still doesn't actually seem like a big increase considering how much benefit they get from using Unity.
We don't know the exact figures of EHG's revenue, but based on KRAFTON's buyout price, we can infer it's not very high. Most likely, I would guess EHG's revenue falls under the lowest bracket of Unity's minimum commitment program.
So if EHG made anywhere between $25 million to $50 million in revenue this year, they would be required to pay Unity $250,000 in the next year, as a minimum commitment. This doesn't really seem that huge all things considered.
What's the alternative? Switch to Unreal Engine? EHG can't do that without hiring C++ developers, who are more expensive to hire than C# developers.
Besides, LE can't just switch engines any way.
Considering how much work Unity puts into their game engine, it doesn't seem like an entirely unreasonable ask from businesses with higher-than-normal revenue.
This is still way better than their previously very unpopular attempt to try and charge for installations back in 2023. $250,000 is 1% of $25 million and 0.5% of $50 million.
Unity is a business and they have to make money too.
And remember this only applies to "Made With Unity" gross revenue. Not revenue in general.
It's entirely possible that EHG's "Made With Unity" gross revenue is lower and they don't actually have to pay anything.
Zao is quite valuable himself it mean
Valuable? Because he knows C++? lol
GGG has a custom engine and they hire C++ developers, but they also tend to offer lower than market rate wages if I remember.
@fierce moth Have you heard of Glass Door? It's another website for professionals (like LinkedIn) but it's a place where you leave reviews about a company you work at or previously worked at.
Nintendo is shockingly well received there iirc
Yeah Nintendo of America seems to have a decent score, not bad. I wonder if employment is actually good there.
Not unusual for a company to be terrible for consumers but great to employees.
thanks for introducing that
emmmmmm
Oh yes, Glass Door is very "give and take" with their information. You have to share your own information if you want to see what others have shared.
🫡 good block
This person was not very happy lol
Basically GGG doesn't pay very well compared to most other places.
lol how are you know I want to check out GGG's review
From what I could gather, GGG typically pays up to half as less as US-based salaries for example, even though the cost of living in Auckland is high.
well this experience is valuable anyways, it's a powerful proof of you're talented and expeienced enough to handle similar jobs from another companies
have worked in a famous company in this field is a bonus
It looks good on your resume and it's a good opportunity to live in New Zealand, but yeah it's apparently not a great salary to live on unless you're at a more senior or director level.
Honestly I think GGG should stop trying to mandate New Zealand relocation lol
But who knows maybe New Zealand law requires them to do so, no idea.
To my understanding it's not a GGG thing so much as it is an NZ thing
Thing is, GGG should be able to create an American or European subsidiary, open a US or EU office and hire talent that way.
It makes sense that NZ wants NZ citizens and residents working in NZ companies.
I highly doubt NZ has laws and regulations that prevent international growth of a company.
Being NZ-only drastically limits the pool of available talent because I don't imagine many people are jumping at the opportunity to move to a whole different country only to earn less money than they could in their current country.
Could be a bit of that predatory "if you can get someone into their 'dream' job they'll take lower pay for the opportunity" sitch
I have no fate with game industry in recent 5 years anyways. What I can do are obverse, learn more events, try more new games, connect more people, that's all
Maybe, I could kinda see that especially since I think that game dev is one of those fields people get into out of a deep passion for games and art.
More so than most other fields.
let's talk about work for a game after I'm 30+ lol
Even in the US (and I assume it's the same everywhere else), game dev jobs typically pay less than other kinds of software development jobs. I think part of that could be that predatory hiring mentality that exploits peoples' passion lol
Add to that, it also creates a situation where moving on is difficult because now your life is tethered to New Zealand lol
Moving internationally is such a major pain.
Although this is an AI-generated answer, it does ring true for me so I mostly trust the data it's citing (~13 different websites). And your idea of the passion tax makes a lot more sense too:
If you say passion-driven... Emmmmmmmm gameplay of this game influenced a lot
Dislike is dislike, I can't change that
Basically, companies will exploit your passion to offer you less money.
Because they know you are passionate, they know you will want to do that job no matter what.
🤔 How to break this case, convince the company to give me more money?
You can't say I'm not passionate too
Well, when you have no experience then you don't have much choice. I think for your first job you should basically accept lower pay until you have 2-3 years of experience.
But after you have experience, then I think it's really about focusing more about the value you bring to a company and less about your passion for your craft.
😔 So I must be controlled by employer for the first job
Unfortunately that's just how it's always been in most software-based jobs.
Shit that's how it is for most jobs in general
Yep, very true
Work is really not meant to make you happy. If you are happy with the work you do, you are one of the very few people who are.
If you are happy with the work you do, you are one of the very few people who are.
that's just quite toxic because work is the most important part in the life of 24-55 years old
most people must work for decades
Yes, I agree. I think most people probably would agree. Unfortunately, that's the world we live in lol
I simply do not agree that work is "the most important part of life" for anyone, it's a necessity born out of societal structures. Work should not be even remotely close to majority of your time spent, in my opinion, and nowhere near the top in matters of importance to one's life.
Well yes, I don't think it's the most important, but it definitely is a toxic way to live your life.
I do recognize that a market driven economy has been enormously beneficial in technologically advancing civilization. Without some form of capitalism, it's unclear where society's collective interests would have led us. Maybe we'd be exploring our solar system, but we wouldn't have a big consumer-driven video gaming or even artistic culture, as an example. That said, I definitely agree that the current wealth gap is beyond cruel and there's definitely a better middle ground we should be striving to achieve.
Frankly, I cannot get into my opinions on economic systems and the world we live in within this server. I'll sum it up by saying that I'm staunchly anti-capitalist by nature and growing up severely underprivileged has only furthered that stance within me.
happy new year to all of you!

Oh I think it'll the 1st new game I try in 2026
Long time to not able to enjoy the pure fun from puzzles
My Steam calendar looks sad lol
https://store.steampowered.com/app/321480/Sigils_of_Elohim/?curator_clanid=33025992
Last time I played similar games is this one... 2021 stuff I think
I'm not into environment puzzles in The Talos Principle 1&2 so much (too hard), the same logic apply to portal 1&2 so I never play portal 2. But I love these mini puzzles...
Your flavour on games quite vast and diverse
I can feel what you like is play games itself, no matter the game is
lol I think I will not try that. 3 of puzzle pros not recommend that
I have no idea what gameplay is it yet after watched all trailers of that on steam
pure puzzle games loved by these puzzle pros usually lack of aesthetics or levels are too hard. Tricky to find the balance
I'm not as smart as them
Blue Prince is one of the highly acclaimed games of 2025.
Well, no, you see Blue Prince is actually good
lol
Basically seems like a lot of people aren't fond of the RNG
As far as negatives go.
Well, no trade so no economy in blue prince so it's better
That
Is a skill issue
Blue Prince RNG is so malleable that someone using their brain can go from day 1 (in game) and then finish t he main overarching puzzle before they even hit double digit days
I assume the RNG issue for those people is they don't play long enough to make meaningful progress on their meta progression.
wanted to try blue prince but kinda forgot about it and now gamepass ran out
guess ill pick it up on sale some time in the future
Basically from what I can tell, those people want to spend more time on actual puzzles than having to manipulate their RNG.
But the roguelite aspect of that should've been a clear indicator that RNG would be a factor.
It's on sale right now for 34% off, unless you meant the next sale (probably Spring).
yeah next one, started ssf poe1 and reading some black library novels currently
Which one
read the first ultramarines novel and was surprised how decent it was, not a huge fan of the blue lads
was more into gaunt and the inquisitors
I haven't read/listened to any of those, I don't think. Those are the ones with Uriel Ventris, right?
Not a big fan of Ultramarines either so never really got into their books.
yep same but the intro/prologue was cool and the first book as well, can't say much more yet gonna start the next one today or tomorrow
Nice, might have to give it a try. Graham McNeill is one of the good Black Library authors for sure.
the souldrinkers stuff was also cool for me years ago but didnt really reread it recently
there's very few writers for GW i dont really enjoy
its all pretty solid for what it is imo
Yeah mostly the same. Still, some are just way better than others haha. I don't actually know much about the Soul Drinkers, but a whole chapter falling to Chaos sounds like a cool premise.
Damn, no audiobooks for this series.
Oh wait, maybe part of this anthology? https://www.audible.com/pd/The-Successors-Audiobook/B09S3YJ2PG
Ah nevermind, this is about the new Soul Drinkers chapter created from Primaris marines.
seems to be a new short story
Yeah I don't think that story is about the old Soul Drinkers that fell to Chaos.
i still probably expect the series to be a bit worse than never things but i remember ben counter novels as also being pretty ok
and i just found out theres 2-3 books i didnt know exist yet
so i guess ill put the reread on my list
Ben Counter did write Galaxy in Flames (book 3 of Horus Heresy) which was a banger.
nice
dropped a stack of 10 reaver catalysts in breach
apparently 1 div = 8 of them lmao
crazy
breach is an actual money printer rn
if Ange does my currency exchanges overnight, I'll be 2/3rds of the way to Garukhan's
😵 New Year day is quite scary. Everywhere in shopping malls full of people. Even restrooms are in quene.
me chilling because tommorow starts work again and i have to go to cosutomer firm to run our software
it would be all Ok if i didnt need to get up early >.>
:) crazy people flow (in quene to underground station)
Gonna eat mcgribbles
Christmas not done yet obviously.
I can't stop spinning
S...peeeEEEeeeenn
Ok, double experiences ✅
- Know what pancakes with maple syrup tastes.
- Tried a mcgribble.
Pancakes on mcgribbles are quite soft... Like eating sweet 🧽
Cost: I'm quite full
yummy yummy yummy 😋
I prefer normal burger, this one will let me sick because too much calories in pancakes with syrup
Two nekos
I thought that was umamusume for a second
I hardly know anything about that game aside from it being some kind of anime horse racing game
Well yes, that's what it is
they're based on actual horses though
And it's a gacha
I mean the guy is Ichigo so...
Feels like one of the strongest builds I've made so far lol
Scales movement speed for damage
bloodlust very cool passive
im going to try a pet run, see how that works on the Beastmaster
Spiders and Tigers
Don't think I have spiders yet, still missing so much stuff... the amount of skills is crazy
I think one of my most brain off builds in this game was a poison minion Houndmaster setup
But that was a long time ago, things have probably changed since
They hungry, they bite
Damn, gotta be millions of DPS lol
What is this game?
Soulstone Survivors
Things move a little faster when you have things unlocked, some of it includes the way you manipulate the skills offered to you
and their quality
Doesn't seem like ailments are doing much, just raw damage pushing through their HP before stuff like poison even ticks
I've just been scaling movement speed to pump damage with Viper's Pounce and Rift Fang which both have this bonus against Ambushed targets.
A good balance could be half and half
A good tip would be that in order to access specific skill/passive offerings -|| certain things need to be on your skill bar. Its how offerings are opened. ||
Completed all puzzles I can find in the demo. Enjoyable to solve them :)
Game is https://store.steampowered.com/app/4160210/The_Artisan_of_Glimmith/
Yeah, I think you mean stuff like the ability to apply an ailment on all skills, but you need a skill that can apply that ailment on your bar.
And then later on you can also get offered passives that apply an ailment whenever you apply another different ailment.
yeah, you basically unlock those chains
Its also worth not sleeping on passives like Leviathan, it is multiplicative to your entire build
Is it? I always been banishing it lmao
I know its a common thing people do lol
Wish the game used clear language when it comes to damage buckets
Didn't know Leviathan was multiplicative
yeah, its very trial and error
If that's the case, it's a lot easier to justify the loss of movement speed for probably most builds
There are many simple common mistakes people do. I dont wanna "solve" this to you, but how people divide skill points to different ailments also goes against numbers sometimes
I definitely plan to min max and most likely will end up looking up specific numbers and damage buckets. I like that this game has kept me engaged for so many hours without the need to look anything up, though
I almost never engaged with the community
Has been nice just being able to go with the flow, mix and match synergies without optimizing too much
It's definitely possible to make bad builds in this game, but the way it's setup it gives you a lot of room to learn and figure things out without screwing yourself too bad.
I really need to start focusing on unlocking runes because those are very clearly going to be key for optimizing builds.
I found myself using 1-2 classes i have the most fun going hard with, and used them to start unlocking stuff
and when helpful runes came in, made sure to use those on new classes
That's what I'm doing right now with the Assassin. Doing all the rituals so I can finish unlocking characters
And even just the one class has a lot of build variety, so I change up runes sometimes when I want to have a different skill pool for a different build
Some classes pose genuine challenge with different mechanics
I basically turned leveling their skilltree into a challenge
And some classes are "have fun, break the game"
I like jamming, just picking a class, thinking of a possible build, and building towards it
We've reached billions
I might be getting there soon in this ritual... maybe?
Is there a leaderboard in-game?
Nothing in game
So far the devs kind of avoided it, due to the exploititive nature of some builds
Makes sense, people would also just cheat it. It's a bit of a hassle for certain games to try and maintain a leaderboard, for example Megabonk isn't having a good time of it.
Yeah you can really break stuff
Ok all of them are done. 2 puzzles hided so well.
Game description says roguelite
So does that mean you keep all your skills and items after dying?
Or is it more like VS where you start with nothing (aside from maybe something similar to Hades with that mirror thing)?
I don't think there are any items, just unlockables. There's a bunch of different "stuff" like characters, different weapons for each character, general skills, character-specific skills, weapon skills, global skill tree, character-specific skill tree, runes and probably some stuff I'm forgetting. All of this you progressively unlock by playing the game, each different thing has its own unlock condition. Each run is as you might expect of a typical roguelike or roguelite, but also a bit different because I don't think the actual run time is a factor (maybe it is?) and it's based more on kills. So a good build can progress the run much quicker, but a bad build isn't necessarily punished for taking too long.
Feels like a decent build can finish a run in <10 minutes
This is when i put visibility on 0 btw lol
Looks like VS when you get the queens weapon upgrade
AT LAST
Gratz
Surely that's just Albino rhoa feather, right?
Garukhan's Resolve or whatever it's called. The bifurcate crit support.
It and Rakiata have been massively inflated in price mainly due to Fub
Yeah
been saving for it for i think 3 days
Man
I wanna hit the gym tomorrow but I'm sure it'll be full of ppl trying to do their new years resolution stuff
It's like first week or two it's always full so you can't get a proper workout done
Just be like me and don't bother with making them
Yeah, I don't make them
but a lot of people do about how they'll get fit this year and go to the gym
and then they try for like a week and stop
I've never really understood it. If you're trying to make large changes of some kind... why does it have to coincide with the start of a year, do it whenever you have the motivation and energy.
Because it's a convenient excuse
That they'll suddenly find the discipline to do something like that because year changed
Especially funny when they've never had such behaviour earlier
Unrelated.
GGG can we please remove the need to open a map in the Ziggurat Refuge to unlock the ability to open maps in HO? At least on alts? It's really annoying to deal with loading screens about 6 times longer due to that.
Yeah that's extremely annoying
I forget it every time and then wonder why can't I open a map
Yea guess what I did that brought that complaint up
it's kinda wild I've pushed this char to this level of investment on this little playtime and without stepping foot in the temple
🤔 Underwood have been push Cathy downstairs and let her pass out for a while so she can't bring any troubles to him. It's why Underwood is died in his room later?
House of Cards Season 6. E5 is what I'm watching
Surely you didn't try to open a map
the only season which Claire is the president 🤔
Tbh I stayed up way too late yesterday
been really tired all day
Kidna thinking of going to sleep early and then just hitting the gym super early when there's nobody else there at like 5 in the morning
Good night
I'm so good at this game
Bought it with res, armor, life for 3ex lol

Man I sure love how every single boss in this game can just completely break out of nowhere and just ignore wind-ups or animation locks and throw out 3-4 moves at the same time
They do?
Unfortunately
Well aint that grand
Feels like I'm shooting a Skittles laser beam
Bonking a map boss for nearly 1.5 million damage is pretty funy
taking hit after hit after hit with minimal build up on stun bar
one random ass breach monster hits me one time and instantly heavy stuns
Yeah okay game
I cannot survive without an anti stun charm
Sometimes not even with it, if it's a +125 stun map that rolls full juice + Unstable Energies
It was a heavy stun, stun charm doesn't do shit
Also I don't know why more shield gamers aren't using Resonating Shield. Freest god damn skill in the game.
Full block + armor break + decent damage on a shield build. Why would you NOT use it
Figured out why 🤣
Thanks for it heat my quilt up so I'll comfortable to take a nap soon
maybe their youtuber didn't tell them to

....you might be right
I guess I bought it at the right time...?
could also be the sharp drop in divine value tbf

You know I'm right!
a trans woman who doesn’t have the voice of the most stereotypical woman ever?
the right-leaning arpg community would eat her alive
what the key word of a type of magic, you can press hot key to check out the value of all colours on a picture in photoshop?
Ohhhh...Grayscale. Yes I forget that
ctrl + Y is that magic
How do you know the way you're feeling is a specific gender? I can tell myself I am feeling like a man, but what is that? Maybe I'm feeling more like a woman, who knows
hhhhh
One thing you will never feel if you're a man, it's blooding regularly
Oh...And queue up in restroom. But I'm not sure if it's exclusive due to population
😂
Interesting... Christmas tree can be any shapes in anywhere... If you want to spend Christmas really 🤔
I like these Christmas trees more too, because they can go to my stomach hhhh
Remind me of a French dessert, a tower form of cream puffs/macarons
🤔 Figure out which food can be the ingredient of Christmas tree is a tricky question...
Oh, I have an answer, potatoes. Cut it as strips to fry then spread some coarse salt and cumin powder.

Yeah, I woke up and couldn't get more sleep until a bit later
But i was already sleeping again by that message

This video is genius and inspired. It's what I try to look for in my acrylic painting but I don't know what is it before I watched that.
I understand how to deal with objects with complex details like trees or brushes since then 👍
I guess I have used that logic in voxel Aggorat but I didn't realize that lol
Tldr: Try to hatch where these tangles are with your style.
Yes, it works so well :)
I can draw plants with a pen only!
Plus with the reference.
It will work better if I use multiple pens (0.25/0.4/0.5/1.0)
Figured out how to use my dusty Sakura pens finally 😁
she is definitely a woman
because she wants to be
don’t come at me with transphobia lol
and not everyone who has periods is a woman. trans men exist, nonbinary people exist, genderfluid people exist, etcetera
It is internalized sexism. When someone interprets their feelings as “male” or “female,” they are not discovering an inner truth, but applying learned social stereotypes to neutral human states. Inner experience does not need a gender label to be real or legitimate.
Freeze-dried strawberries are quite 😋
Especially when you had a dinner which full of noises and form of ingredients you dislike to eat at all.
Glad to bring a package of snack I like with me tonight.
This isn't really the place and I would caution against speaking so matter-of-factly on sensitive psychological topics. There isn't any objective fact to anything you're saying and the tone you approach this with only serves to aggravate, not debate. Appeal to what you consider authoritative research all you want, but it's not an objective fact.
yeah i’m not engaging this
Chat im about 1 inch away from a complete head manbun, i can't wait to not having hair all over
REAL
my hair is like at my shoulder blades
i desperately need a haircut
i hate having longer hair
I grew out my hair once, recently got it cut. Never doing that again, tried it and it's not for me. Long hair sucks.
it’s so time consuming to take care of
i was super sick for a few years and practically bedridden, my hair grew to the point it reached my thighs. that was AWFUL.
last time was in highschool, but i like to think this would be my last go before the genes take over and start either graying my hair or make it go away
Doesn't help if you got super oily hair too lol
Practically doubles the time you spend in the shower too
oh yeah the shampoo bottles are running out fast
and conditionaire is basically a wheel of forture to how my hair will look like when i wake up, its completely random
it could be curly, it could be smooth
I still have the image of when I got it all cut off
“what do people do spending 45 minutes in the shower”
wash. hair.
Cut at home? Must be nice, closest place near me charged me $50 to cut my long hair lmao
My grandmother was a hairdresser in the 90’s, she brought her scissors and did it for me
The only way this hair goes out is with a machine
im not planning on any style
just a single number
I just actually cut my hair
Was shoulder length, now got a nice buzzcut
Hell yeah
Feels kinda like a scam getting charged more for long hair lol
Crazy to do that in winter but I also live in Winter Land
It IS more to work through and does take longer, and since barbers are charged per customer and not time allotted, it makes sense
Im using a front tie to hold my headphones from slipping forward, i look like a pikmin
Even when you're going from long to short? I figured it would be about as easy as a trim lol
IMO it should be time allotted, so people with short hair who want extremely particular adjustments also get charged more, where people who want a run of the mill cut should be charged less
But that's why I'm not a barber or hairdresser lol
No, you have to appropriately cut it all to length which takes a lot more effort when it’s long
It also matters how layered your hair is though
My hair is dry and fizzy with about eighty billion layers to it
Fair, they did a good job tbh. Best hair style I've had in a while lol
Hells yeah, glad to hear it
im a bit of a hair criminal, ever since i went full head at 3mm, i just grew it out without any care
no corrections whatsoever
That’s how you get very unhealthy hair unfortunately
I do that too
until I get annoyed and cut it short again
So if I'm 39 and my hairline is still fine, what are the odds that I have male pattern baldness? lol
I think because my dad has it, I don't have it.
Male pattern baldness and a receding hairline aren’t always connected

On an unrelated note
I bought new bedsheets today
It was a tough decision between cat themed & pepsi ones but ended with the pepsi
Gonna have dreams of pepsiman
You can have one or the other, but usually they’re together
I need to get those like fancy bamboo sheets sometime, the ones that stay very cool
I know a guy that started going bald at like 14 already
he gave up at 16 and just been shaving his head since then
too bad that some people throw insults at him for it
I don't wanna be a bald asian man D:
Half the reason i still grow out my hair is to spite my coworkers who are balding and graying at my age
Assholes lol

Real, based flex
Baldness is scary
He's gotten used to it
But he doesn't deserve it
It's easy to ignore when the people just insult your looks and assume you're far right but know nothing of your character
I’m used to people yelling at me for wearing a mask in public (are we still doing this in 2025) but that doesn’t make it right either
Honestly people who embrace baldness have generally been cool people in my life. It just takes a different kind of mentality I think.
Getting used to abuse isn’t the lesson
Idk why it would
It’s just not having head hair
It’s not that big a deal
Yeah but it's kind of a big deal for a lot of dudes (more so for women for sure, but dudes too)
Hair is a big part of self confidence.
And people who can let go of it just seem like they're kinda built different.
Like there are obvious extraneous feelings to factor in if the baldness is forced by a condition, but generally it’s just not having hair
My plan for baldness is that if it starts happening im going full in, no denial
I guess I’m the odd one out
full head shave, maybe a good beard style
Yeah that's the way to go IMO
im going to embrace baldness
Hair implants are a big business I think
Did you see Bellular has been getting hair implants? He's upfront about it, I respect that. But yeah it's a big deal for men.
oh i had to google that person, looks familiar
yeah if i start balding, im going to own it
He used to do WoW videos and now he's mostly just doing gaming industry videos, taking jabs at AAA etc.
Pretty decent channel IMO
Oh yeah here’s a killer motorcycle I saw (completely unrelated)
Harleys are great, as long as you don't have any neighbors who own them :D
I want a motorcycle so bad
Not afraid of crazy American drivers?
My plan is to get a cheap SUV and pay that off completely before I get a bike though
I know the dangers, but it’s more cost efficient for the times I’d be using it, since I’ll only often have either me as a passenger or Deias
I won’t necessarily get a Harley either
I’m a Kawasaki fan
Nice, sports bikes are awesome
Not a motorctyle enthusiast or anything, but they just look and ride great. I've never owned one, but been the passenger of them many times.
Mm, I’m working on my drivers license right now
I need to get my permit but finding a time to schedule the test has been annoying
Gotta love basic American necessities being delayed in my life thanks to mentioned sickness
Ah, the DMV. The most universally hated state government agency.
Waited in a wrap-around line for five hours to get my state ID at 10 AM on a Tuesday
Five hours? Wow, I just scheduled an appointment online and walked in, waited 5 minutes and walked out after taking a photo lol
This is in Maryland.
Something was especially up that day
Actually, I think it’s because we went in kinda near the real ID rollover
So a lot of people were there for that too
Ah, right. That was a couple years ago, wasn't it?
I’m offering a conceptual perspective on language and categorization, not making a clinical or empirical claim. My argument is simply that feelings themselves don’t carry gendered properties, gender interpretations come from social frameworks applied to them.
I think it was one or two? Yeah
okay so if you aren’t arguing science then should i explain how being transgender works.
because being transgender isn’t based off “feelings”
it’s a biological error in the brain
Framing is everything when you're talking about sensitive topics. Speaking assertively sends the wrong impression. It's important that you convey your opinions as opinions rather than giving the impression that they are facts.
people feel intense discomfort in their bodies because of the physical properties, it’s similar to disassociation
your brain literally does not recognize your body as fitting your brain
that is called ✨ gender dysphoria ✨ and it’s backed up by all reputable modern studies as being not a mental thing, but a biological thing
Keep in mind it's also extremely difficult (re: impossible) to understand how someone else is feeling if you've never experienced it yourself. Trying to explain it in the context of your own worldview and experiences doesn't really say much.
yeah
just respect people
it doesn’t matter if you understand how they’re feeling or what they say
if someone asks to be called she/her you call them she/her. it’s not hard, and even if you simply try people will recognize and appreciate that
If someone tells me they can't control who they love or how they feel in their own body, who am I to doubt them?
i have seen deias unable to look at herself in photos because it makes her so uncomfortable, that’s real. it’s her life, her every waking moment
don’t invalidate that. that goes for anyone with anything.
anyway
If you want to have an intellectual conversation on something, then approach it with an intellectual mindset rather than trying to contextualize everything into your own worldview.
The Kawasaki Eliminator is probably what I’d want to start out with? Maybe eventually I’d swap, or choose something else, but I’m not sure
I have other stuff higher up on my “save to purchase” list anyway, like a rifle, handgun and shotgun
Is it like the budget option or something?
Not to mention an SUV in the first place, though I already have one picked out, I think
For Kawasaki, the MSRP is lower than some of their others, but it’s still pretty expensive ($6700 MSRP)
Really? Gun ownership kinda terrifies me. I understand it, but I'm just so afraid of owning a gun because I don't want to accidentally hurt someone or have someone take it and use it. I know gun safes are a thing and all, but it's just kinda scary lol
I think I’ll look for a lightly used Hyundai Sante Fe 2012, I won’t need anything fancy
Well, nobody in my family would take it or use it, I’m already trained in firearm operation and I also want to go hunting more regularly so I’ll need my own equipment
I also live in a place where wildlife is a possible danger so I want a handgun for EDC
A few weeks ago 3 bald people had a long ass discussion about best razors oil and others while claiming to not be as bald as the others. Took a lot to not burst out laughing all the time
Oh right, that could also potentially save big money on food, no?
I heard of people getting a giant meat freezer and they just work with a butcher to cut it up, give a portion to the butcher and you got basically year round meat.
I live in a place with a lot of public hunting land, and there’s two hunting seasons (rifle and bow) for deer, plus bird hunting
Not to mention I also like wilderness survival as a hobby and I enjoy the process and science behind butchering, so it’s just three hobbies I can partake in rolled into one
Nice, that's a solid skill to have.
When I think Maine, I think seafood like lobster, though lol
We mostly export that I think
Holy crap I didn't actually realize Maine was literally next door to a bunch of Canada lol
I know it was far east coast, but not that far
Weather must be... interesting there right now
...with gravy?
no gravy, no
Heathen!
just creamy mash
We're as far north and as far east as you can get in the mainland US yeah. And it's uh.... cold right now. Very cold.
It finally snowed here in Birmingham overnight but was black ice by like 9am lol
Next door to the "crazy" parts of Canada too! Does Maine get a lot of French Canadian stuff? lol
Nope
Keep in mind you see “next door”
Tourists sometimes, usually in Portland though
In reality, there’s something called the 100 Mile Forest
Yeah Maine is a much bigger state than I originally thought it was.
There’s a hundred miles of wilderness in between Maine and Canada that is basically uninhabited
One of the highest concentrations of undeveloped land in the country iirc
We also have the earliest sunrise in the continental USA! It’s in Acadia National Park
wait, Birmingham Alabama?
Pretty sure that stat is Maine is 86% uninhabited forest
Over 80%? I thought we had a lot of uninhabited wilderness in Maryland, but that's way more
It’s no competition, DW
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2974220/Styria/
Dev said their game isn't a roguelite.
Let's see. No demo available. The only trailer is here

I come from two families who have lived in Maine as far back as we can track, so I’m as Maine native as one can get really
I really like the New England vibe, like architecturally.
(Cadillac Mountain, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor Maine)
Meanwhile Maine is the third state I've lived in xdd
Earliest sunrise in the USA is on that summit, on that island
That's beautiful
I like Bradbury Mountain more
Forest as far as you can see
There's a good reason i visit Sweden every year
and its for these kinds of nature views
Maine is beautiful
Yeah, as long as there's a trail. I'm terrified of snakes lol
I've lived in Birmingham most of my life
If you ignore the residents and shitty cities lol
We don’t have snakes really
And Bradbury is also one of the most hiked parks in Maine, so no worry there
Too cold
We have garter snakes but that’s it, really
