Everyone thinks the danger of fast cars lies solely with their top speed, it really isn't. The 0-60 speed/torque shreds tyres, ruining grip and without a ton of practice in them, there's very little chance you can smoothly take off in a super car

So even if you never go over the legal speed limit in a super car, your chances of having an accident are still higher than in an every day car

Yep, Doom 2016 is the first one of the modern series of games, and I recommend playing them in order both for the story but also as a stepping stone for the mechanics.
Doom Eternal starts somewhat intense and goes hard from there, with DLC that's brutal.
I haven't bought Dark Ages yet as I was a bit turned off from where Eternal went in tedium and difficulty, but if you're into that kind of challenge it seems neat.

Logistical issues as in things that affect planning. Things like how work progresses and also predictable events like Easter blocking out parts of the calendar.
You can be way more flexible around planning early in the process but you can't foresee everything.

I believe that the 0.2 launch timing was covered in some interview but as I don't remember the things being said, I won't recount them.

Yeah I would haaaaate that tbh. I love PoE, but I also deliberately shift what I'm doing in endgame dramatically every few days to avoid burning out. One of my main gripes with LE is that there's nothing to do except for monos.

I can get a character from level 1 to level 85+ in a day in PoE on rerolls, my average league start has me hitting late yellows or early reds by day 2 if I'm not getting the most abhorrent luck.

I just... idk, I enjoy the campaign. I like having the hard set metrics to judge the growth of my character before maps (which are very much not set), and as I keep playing I figure out more and more tiny optimizations to make it faster, that's something I find fun to do.

So, I am a Diablo player. Diablo is my favorite ARPG, it’s what I find the most fun and it’s the one I play most often.

There is a certain culture within the PoE community around speedrunning the campaign, it’s integral to the culture of the game, everyone joins in league start to speedrun. There’s notifiers for who crosses what goals first, there’s leaderboards, streamers do it, people even practice. That’s an integral part of the game’s community, and people forget that. I know my original comment stated this, too, but it’s a really important part of forming a sense of community in PoE.

If the campaign were to be removed, or if there were to be a campaign skip option — as Deias stated — nobody would participate in that culture anymore. ARPG’s are all about optimization and speed, so people will always pick the faster and easier option. It’s why people pick premade builds instead of learning enough to make their own.

So even if your market share is way smaller it's comparable to a pretty big market share when MMOs were in their "golden age"

Basically it's not that MMOs like that are necessarily less popular, but more so that the genre itself has way wider reach than it used to

MMOs are a special case. They demand commitment. Less free time, different age. WoW was the right game at the right age and from a legendary company. Fortnite is a near zero commitment bite sized gameplay. This is a niche upcoming mmo from an indie company (I think?) aspiring to survive in a market where you've got a dozen options staring at you wherever you turn your head

even a skin collector cashgrab shooter reskin would attract a bigger audience than an average MMO, let alone one that has removed the item looting part from the equation

Knowing korean MMO, yea, you will usually have to select certain profession or have a energy limiter that limits how much life skill you can do daily. If they dont force you to select a profession, they can make the limit shares across all profession so you "have to cooperate and trade with other players" for their service.

Aside from that, I am not surprised if they will have a cash shop that lets you purchase item recovering energy/increase the limit/premium sub that let you access certain locked functions

The flavour on the shell from brie is stronger than Camembert a lot, which is the reason I think Camembert is more yummy. Aftertaste of Brie can last for a while... Zero for Camembert.

Yeah "Very Hard" is actually tough in the early game. Enemies are HP sponges and you get two shot. Definitely had a lot of reloads myself until I got geared up with cyberware.

It's actually a gacha I recommend to newcomers to the genre, especially if you're not a fan of predatory devs.

Bluepoch gives away character selectors fairly often, pity count is low, no weapons to pull, only characters. You buy their weapons in a shop you use currency on that you get from daily stuff.
I'm a day one player, and the whole idea is: Assemble a team of 3 or 4 > Each character has certain cards > You play cards to buff, debuff, attack or heal > then the enemy goes

One of my fave R1999 teams right now is the impromptu incantation team. It basically revolves around stacking "impromptu" which is an extra incantation that goes off at the end of your turn. One of my staple units is Voyager, who makes impromptu AOE instead of single target. Kiperina, who I'm pulling next banner, is a sustain unit for that archetype. I pulled Aleph who amplifies it. And with Barcarola rerunning soon (there goes some of my gacha budget) my impromptu team will be complete

Yep it's a gacha! It's actually fairly generous compared to several others. There's a lot of character variety, all voiced very well.

Fully VO'd story, great event stories. Gacha system is actually great - no weapons to pull for like Hoyo games, only characters. Portraits (copies) aren't required except in a few niche cases, they buff older characters, all new characters end up in the standard pool after a few patches.

This is actually the gacha I recommend for those new to the genre or those who like more generous ones.

Just an overview of the gacha

70 pity with a 50/50 - but you can lose to almost everyone. Only exception are characters released within the last 2 versions. (I think two)
No weapons to pull. Psychubes (weapons) are earned through events or a shop you use currency from dailies on. They are cheap.
Character reruns are fairly frequent.

You get enough currency in versions to pull the limited unit in most cases, a LOT of events, free cosmetics from events that look very nice.
Edit: They give a lot of character selectors as well.
