Imo LA Ranger is easy because you have easy access to flat damage through weapon + quiver.
Spells mostly if not only get flat damage with gem lvl.
It’s like LE, % damage is not the problem to get, it‘s flat damage

Ranger also has top tier nodes for both defense and offense in my opinion and they are all not far away

I don't play SSF league, I just haven't traded a single thing in PoE2 yet. I haven't even used the currency exchange to trade anything either, so it's like SSF. You don't need to the best gear to clear all content in PoE or PoE2, best gear is only needed to make everything easier. People have done "magic item only" challenges in PoE1 and killed Uber bosses.

SSF isn't that difficult. Main difficulty of SSF is that you don't always choose what build you play. You just build around your best drops.

btw I use a focus instead of a shield because evasion is incredibly strong right now in PoE2. It makes sense for armour-based classes go to shield because armour is very weak right now.

Evasion in PoE2 can dodge spells without any special skills or items. That's just how it works.

And I combine that with Ghost Dance spirit skill for energy shield recovery based on evasion rating.

How does conversion work in PoE2? So like I have a weapon with increased physical damage for my cold monk, is the modifier effecting the base flat damage and then that's converted? Or is it ignored? Same with runes, like the physical damage runes increase the weapons flat damage right? So is that then converted?

The wiki says

Converted damage does not retain its original damage type; only the final damage type is used for scaling. For example, if a percentage of physical damage is converted to fire damage, the converted fire damage no longer scales with #% increased Physical damage.

But I don't understand in the above example I gave how it works.

The conversion works with the modifiers as more and Inc ,but the converted damage cannot be scaled with what u converting to ,example if u converting Phys to fire fire modifiers will not scale the damage from that conversation but Inc Phys or more Phys will since u scaling the base of damage that u converting

Oh i got my answer I think from a friend that played PoE1, it seems on weapons #% increased damage (in this case physical) is local, so it adds flat damage to the weapon if it's doing physical damage already. So then that gets converted to cold damage for say ice strike, the weird part is that #% increased physical damage doesn't roll on anything BUT weapons, which is why the wiki confused me, where as say #% increased cold damage does. I checked the trade site to make sure, and no results popped up for physical damage but did for the elemental damage types for rings and stuff. So I guess on weapons it's local, and on other gear like rings it's global.

i cast it before i boneshatter for the heavy stun and immobilize i guess

but alot of keys to remember the combo with HotG > boneshatter > infernal cry > PS

i still pick up all quality gems and flasks on autopilot for that reason

Kira was interested about the glasbubbles other day and it made me think are they actually worth it in poe2 , conclusion they are becouse u cant portal out on bosses freely as u used to and that extra amount of point regen on life and mana actually do make a diference

we dont have utility flasks to extend the running time on them but we need it to actually make our charges worth of pressing

same reason i dont think a lot of people can undertand how important is quality on ur skills and supports used to be
