it's amazing. It doesn't do the lame thing that D&D does where you choose a class each level either. You are both classes. You get to put points into the tree as you see fit, and new tiers on that tree unlock with level. Single classes have access to their full tree, while dual classes are locked out of the final 2 tiers.

Pretty much all bonuses from corruption start degrading as soon as 300 and the higher you go the less the impact, 1000 is a good spot to "park" at even if you're able to technically do more just because it'll be safer and generally smoother farming at a lower difficulty than you're capable of, sometimes giving better results than farming at higher corruptions. For example I've pushed to over 2k corruption on my build but only really as a limit test, I still farm at around 1k

So, I'm excited. Farmed four tabs of splitters tonight, 2 tabs at 100 corruption and 2 tabs at 5.2k corruption. I'm going to run them all through nemesis to get an idea of how original corruption affects nemesis rerolls. The current consensus is that it doesn't mean shit, but my casual observation has been that high corruption provides better rolls.

Nem towers will be at 3k corruption.

Worst case scenario is that I get a couple LP2 splitters, 1 in 322 chance of an LP3, and get to be wrong. At best, provided the results are disparate enough, I can be right and tell the naysayers, "Told you so."

Yea 100%. I've also noticed that "AI bugs" are a thing and tend to look different than "human bugs". Sometimes AI writes such clever looking code that completely fails to actually do what you want. Or it interprets what you want extremely literally (like writing a test that does pass and technically adds "code coverage", but wouldn't actually fail when something is later broken).

My biggest fear is that the younger generation of programmers might be too reliant on AI tools and lack some of the problem solving muscles earlier programmers had to develop by spending hours swearing at their monitor. Or maybe that's just me shouting at a cloud. idk.

I think the best compliment I can give AI with regards to programming is that it gives you what you need for the stack/framework you are using. They have a lot of mouseover help text for keywords on item/skill mechanics

So if something has a chance to apply stacks of [Affliction], you can just hover it to see what that means.

Reading this - the way I read this is block effectiveness increases dmg over time --- 1,000 effectiveness would give 300% dmg over time -- does this only occure on a block however or is it static, and if it is static why does it not change your damage over time stat on sheet

Normally DoTs don't Hit, so you can't Block them. DoTs also bypass Armor by default, so a really tanky character can still take a lot of damage from DoTs. That shield allows you to use a portion of Block Effectiveness to reduce DoT damage.

Similar to the way the Experimental affix Armor applies to Damage over Time let's you use a portion of Armor to reduce DoT damage
